This is your 24-7 News Update, the latest views this hour in just four minutes. The person who attacked a Michigan synagogue is dead. The attack took place at Temple, Israel, in West Bloomfield, northwest of Detroit, when a person crashed a vehicle into the temple that had children inside. Police say the vehicle caught fire, a security open fire on the driver. The driver is deceased and remains at the side of the crash impact inside the building. A security guard was knocked unconscious after being struck by the suspect's vehicle, but there are no other confirmed injuries. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard provides details. Nobody at the moment has been confirmed to be hurt,

except potentially the shooter. The Jewish Federation of Detroit has ordered all Jewish organizations to activate a lockout protocol. There's no report of injuries, local schools in the area have been placed in secure mode. The U.S. military operation against Iran is approaching two weeks. The new Iranian Ayatollah Mutabahamani released his first message since becoming supreme leader, but still has not been seen in public after being appointed. Hamani said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed, and Iran will ramp up attacks on its neighbors in the Gulf, more from Richard Engel. And Iran need official now saying the world should brace for oil to reach $200 a barrel. Hadgez Ejazan, a military spokesman saying, we will never allow a single leader of oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz for the benefit of the United States, the Zionist regime, or their partners. Meanwhile, multiple reports say outdated intelligence may have led to a deadly school strike by the U.S. in Iran. Yesterday, President Trump said the U.S. had won the war,

but also vowed to finish the job. Stocks are sinking on Wall Street as oil prices continue to rise amid the ongoing military action in Iran. The Dow has been down over 600 points of times today. The S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq have also been down today, over 1%. I'm Lisa Carton. President Trump is going after the Kentucky Republican who led the push to release the Epstein files. Trump spoke at a rally held Wednesday in the District of Congressman Thomas Massey, one of just two GOP lawmakers to oppose his massive spending bill. Massey is a complete and total disaster as a Congressman and, frankly, as a human being. Trump accused Massey of being disloyal and introduced Massey's Republican challenger in November at Gullrine. He described Gullrine as authentic and someone who stands shoulder to shoulder with our president. A heat wave starts today in California and many valley and inland locations will top 90 degrees, sizzling details from Mark Mayfield.

That's about 25 degrees above normal. The National Weather Service says some cities may break records for this day. Along the coast, fog will burn off and beach cities could easily hit 85 degrees. The heat advisory officially starts at 10 a.m. today and lasts until 8 p.m. tomorrow. The forecasters say that a high pressure system means that inland areas will likely stay warm for the next week.
