The remains of the 7th American service member killed in Operation Epic Fury have been returned to the U.S. Jim Roup with more. The body of Army Sergeant Benjamin Pennington arrived in Dover, Delaware Monday night with Vice President J.D. Vance attending the dignified transfer.
Pennington died Sunday, a week after he was wounded during an Iranian strike on an airbase in Saudi Arabia. He added that the U.S. could target easily-destroyable sites that could make it virtually impossible for Iran ever to be built back. The Strait of Hormuz located between Oman and Iran and linking the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea is one of the world's most critical routes. Federal judges in New Jersey are now threatening to dismiss pending criminal cases after the latest Trump appointees to the U.S. Attorney's Office were again rejected Monday, more from Andrew Whitman. In December, federal judges in New Jersey ruled that former Trump personal attorney Alina Habba was appointed U.S. Attorney for the state illegally.
She was appointed on an interim basis and tried to stay on the job after her interim appointment expired. The Justice Department replaced Habba with three people. Monday, a judge ruled that's not legal either. The judge writing that the Trump administration, quote, chafed at the limits on their power set forth by law and the Constitution. And that quote, the president doesn't like that he simply cannot appoint whomever he wants. A Republican Tennessee congressman says Muslims don't belong in American society. Representative Andy Ogles posted his thoughts on ex formerly known as Twitter on Monday. Adding there are many Islamic countries in the world and if Muslims want to practice and exemplify their culture, that is where they belong, his words. Ogles was condemned mostly by Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who called him a malignant clown.
