The US thinks releasing as much as 400 million barrels, some 30% of reserves will do the trick. The remains of the 7th American serviceman killed in Operation Epic Fury have been returned to the US. Here's Jim Roup. The city of Army Sergeant Benjamin Pennington arrived in Dover, Delaware Monday night with Vice President J.D. Vance attending the dignified transfer. Pennington died Sunday, a week after he was wounded during an Iranian strike on an airbase in Saudi Arabia.

Oil prices fell in Asian markets on Tuesdays, investors saw room for hope that the conflict in Iran could soon wind down, Laura Westbrook reports. Asian stocks rebounded from Monday's sell-off and crude oil fell after US President Donald Trump said the war with Iran would end very soon. But the president said that he did not believe the conflict would be over this week. Some investors are seeing Donald Trump's comments as evidence that the US administration has backed out of a lengthy conflict for fear of further disrupting markets.
