Oil has been driven up past $100 a barrel as the conflict continues.

2:09Travelers at some airports are experiencing long waits and security lines as the partial government shutdown continues to leave most of the Department of Homeland Security including TSA without funding in Houston. This airline passenger expressed frustration. The government needs to get their act together so that we can live our normal life. A woman is now in custody after she allegedly fired multiple shots from her vehicle toward Rihanna's house in Los Angeles. Neighbor Isabel Thorn heard the shots Sunday afternoon in the Beverly Cress neighborhood. I was just washing dishes in my house and I heard shots and I was a little shocked. You know, we don't hear that kind of thing in this neighborhood. It's pretty quiet. The LAPD says the suspect is around 30 years old. It's unclear what led to the shooting with an AR-15 style rifle.

This year's commemoration of the 1965 bloody Sunday event paid special tribute to the late Reverend Jesse Jackson, who passed away last month, the age of 84. His youngest son, Yusef Jackson, praised his father for his leading role in the civil rights movement. Even an illness he was big on his feet in his wheelchair, behind the podium, even when Parkinson's and progressive super nuclear palsy quieted his voice, he was still big. Jackson was in Selma as the city marked the day decades ago when Alabama state troopers attacked peaceful protesters as they were attempting to cross the Edmund Pettis bridge for the right to vote.
