The conflict in Iran is escalating as it approaches one week. Israel has ramped up strikes that have targeted Lebanon and Tehran while Iran has returned strikes with some targeting Tel Aviv. 1:02supreme leader. And President Trump says there will be no deal struck with Iran unless it includes an unconditional surrender. In a post on Truth Social, he said they will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction. He concluded by saying make Iran great again. And when asked about a potential strike from Iran on the US, Trump said we plan for it and we expect some things. And due to the Middle East conflict, stocks are again way down on Wall Street that Dow Jones' industrial average has been down over 900 points at times today. The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ have been down over 1% as well. And gas prices are up once again today. AAA reports the national average cost for a gallon of regular is now at $3.32. That's a jump of $0.7 from yesterday and $0.34 from a week ago. The US economy lost more jobs than expected in February. Mitch McCann reports. Economists had forecast that the US would gain 50,000 jobs in February, but Friday's data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed it actually lost 92,000.

2:03Another sign the job market is struggling. At the same time, the country's unemployment rate rose to 4.4%. Analysts say severe winter weather coupled with the strike at Kaiser Permanente drove the larger than expected decline. Healthcare saw the biggest loss in payrolls with information services right behind. That sector was hit by artificial intelligence related cuts last month. A severe weather threat is ramping up today for millions across Texas, the plains and Midwest. The understorms are bringing damaging winds and flood risk projected to last in the next week. Large hail possibly the size of baseballs is possible for the region moving into early tomorrow morning. I'm Chris Caragio. The military conflict with Iran is likely already cost taxpayers more than $5 billion according to an analysis from one think tank. Elaine McCusker is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise and a former budget official with the Pentagon. She notes that it's hard to come up with an exact cause because all the details aren't public. One big expense came before the attacks even started.
