shortly after the House defeated a War Powers Resolution. The measure would put a limit on President Trump's ability to carry out further military action in Iran without Congress approving it. The Speaker also criticized Democrats for voting against a bipartisan DHS funding bill. All but four Democrats voted against the measure that would have funded the HSC through September the 30th. Iran's Foreign Minister says his country is confident it can counter any potential U.S. ground invasion. Democrats are demanding changes to ICE immigration enforcement operations before they'll vote to restore the funding. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suggesting he would be open to dropping out of the state's Republican Senate primary race if several conditions are met. Paxton is leveraging his exit in exchange for Senate leadership eliminating the filibuster and passing a bill that would require voters to show proof of citizenship. The Attorney General and Senator John Kornin are now forced into a runoff for the Republican nomination. However, Senate GOP leadership has pressed Trump to endorse Kornin to avoid an ugly contest against Paxton. The Milan-Cortina Winter Paralympic Games start today. Tammy Trujillo has the latest. The Games for Athletes with Disabilities face an opening ceremony boycott from several countries this year. He has Russia will be allowed to compete under its flag for the first time since 2014. Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland

I'm Tammy Trujillo. In a former basketball coach at California State University Bakersfield is awaiting trial on multiple charges including human trafficking. A tipster alleged that the team's temporary assistant coach, Kevin Mays, was also working as a pimp across four states. He faces several charges, including possession of automatic firearms, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, and pimping. Mays has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
