1:00U.S. Ambassador Mike Walz, speaking at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, defended Operation Epic Fury. President Trump, Secretary Rubio, our special envoy's Wicoff and Kushner were relentlessly dedicated to diplomacy. The Pentagon is describing the American military presence in the Middle East as a wall of steel. The 16 warships in regional waters represent the largest concentration of U.S. naval power in the region since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Leading this historic fleet is a rare two-carrier strike force. The largest aircraft carrier in the world. The USS Gerald R. Ford is in the Mediterranean. It's joined by the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. Over 100 U.S. fighter jets are also in the region, including F-22 Raptors, flying directly out of Israel for the first time. There is an increased presence at sensitive locations across New York following the attacks on Iran. Lisa Selvati reports.

2:01The NYPD is adding more patrols at diplomatic, religious, and cultural institutions, as well as other vulnerable sites. Governor Kathy Huckle says she's increasing trooper patrols at possible targets across the state. The governor added that in advance of the Jewish holiday of Purim starting Monday evening, state police have already reached out to religious organizations to offer support. I'm Lisa Selvati. This year's first lunar eclipse may just achieve the impossible. The March 3rd eclipse could see the rising of the sun and the eclipsed moon at the same time. Areas near and around the Pacific Rim have the best shot of seeing these strange occurrence. I'm Rob Martyr. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has appointed two new members to the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. U.S. Health Officials announced the appointments on Friday. The two new members are Dr. Sean Downing, who specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics, and Dr. Angelina Forella, a pediatrician and owner of a family wellness center in Texas.

3:04Secretary Kennedy said both physicians have decades of real-world experience with a frontline perspective that is essential in making recommendations grounded in science and worthy of public trust. The head of a Minnesota nonprofit created to prevent youth suicide is accused of embezzling close to $220,000 from the organization. Prosecutors charged Ryan Obermaller with two felony counts of theft in connection with the siphoning of funds from the Dylan's Hope Foundation. Foundation administrators contacted Sherburn County Sheriff's Office last August concerning their suspicions about the thefts. The nonprofit's officials checked their bank account and noticed that Obermaller wrote a check for $220,000 to himself. He later confessed to more thefts with one of them topping $40,000. Southern California is closing out February with a heat wave and record temperatures. Jason Nathanson has the details. Quite a few record highs. Brian Hurley with the National Weather Service says it's hot from Santa Barbara down to San Diego. Definitely talking about temperatures over 20 degrees above normal.
