But I'm well, I could see maybe the Oilers like with these new additions. I'm not like once again, I reiterate, we've said it all week. These players aren't coming in to save Edmonton. Right. They're not, they're, they're debt players. It's a third line center, a second slash third parent defenseman. But they can help enough that at least maybe gets a little bit extra focus from the remainder of the roster, where they batten down the hatches a little bit. Maybe you finally see a goal tending bounce back performance. So we know how stingy the hurricanes are defensively. Uh, I mean, as long as I like it, as long as Frederick Anderson's not playing net essentially, they have, they have a chance to keep the goal total very, very low. Uh, the deadline does come at one o'clock this afternoon and some heavy rumors swirling Kevin Weeks in particular

4:30reporting that lots of goal tending discussion going around, on around the league and other saying that the Oilers having conversations with Sergei Babarovsky's camp. It's been tied to Jordan Bennington already. I know a lot of fans clamor for the pick that never was and yes, for wallstack coming Edmonton. I'm sorry. Uh, I think the oilers goal tending will be the same tonight when they drop the puck post deadline as it is as we speak right now. Well on Babarovsky Duke. Anyway, I was as I was lying in a puddle. I think I may have found a way for us to get bonds and griffy and we wouldn't have to give up that much. So it's all possible, Kevin. And then we had a texture saying that Ingram's name has been popped out here. I don't, I mean, again, Mark Spector said that he wouldn't he thinks that there's a possibility that Stan Bowman is quietly looking, sitting in the weeds here. You know, yesterday Stan said, I think we're pretty well done.

5:33Speck also said the fan in him wants them to do something, make a move. What if just in that world, what if Bob, there's a move for Bob? The goalie Bob. Imagine. So again, so you think about how much cap, how much salary we retention would have to be there? 50%. Yep. Okay. That's five million. And you'd have to send Jerry, Jerry the other way. So tell me why tell me why that Florida would do that. Florida would want to make this trade. Why would Florida want Tristan, Jerry? There is no one. What type of sweetener are the oilers putting on their side of this deal to actually make it worth the pamphor's time because you're like, Babarovsky likely will resign in Florida if he stays there. It's going to come in at a much lower price tag. Well under half of what he is. I would think so, right? So in return, you would get a goalie that seemingly nobody wants right now that is tied up for another couple of years at five plus million. So what tickles the pamphor's fancy on this trade?

6:35Is it draft capital? I don't know. I think they're probably looking at more of an immediate turnaround to next season, getting right back to Stanley Cup contention. What about goalie Bob for Jerry and young cat and Max hunger. Conor hunger. Conor hunger. Again, people think that Conor hunger is the next Vesonotrophy win. But he's what you want in an organization. He's doing everything. He's below the depth chart. I understand that. But you think about the, you always hear the coverage being stock. You want to have prospects, good prospects in the organization at every position. And the oilers haven't had that in a long time. So he's checking boxes, man. I'm not saying he's the next guy. No. But you do want to have some good prospects. Listen, there's nothing wrong with gold tender depth in any organization. The oilers haven't had it for a long time. I just don't see

7:40a Conor hunger as a solution here down the road. I see Johnson as ahead of him on the depth chart. I think the oilers are trying to have him. They're grooming him to where he can go to Baco next year and be someone that opens their eyes and goes, okay, we might have something here. They don't, they have nothing between hunger and person right now or Johnson right now. But down the road, they're hoping that Johnson is that guy. Moving on. Well, I mean, hey, if this is what people want to want to bash around, then I think the same conversation can be said about Jordan Bennington. Okay. So the money's a little bit easier because of the cap hit. But I think the question once again comes back to what are the oilers making this worth St. Louis's time with? Again, and why would St. Louis want to be tied to Tristan Jari for two more years? I'm with you, Kevin. That's why I'm saying nothing happens here because any deal the oilers make involves Tristan Jari going out the other way. And that's at this point, I think, approaching,

8:40I don't know if it's as a negative asset is what we're talking about with Andrew Mangy upon it. It's exactly what I was going to say, but maybe it's a neutral asset where it's a nothing burger negative because of the fact it comes with five plus million bucks for another couple of years. With Tristan Jari, it's now gotten to the point where you need to sweeten the deal just to get someone to take them off of your hands. No different than measure party. Yeah, I'm right there with you. I am. And I think I get it maybe spec and for the sake of writing something and the fans out there waiting in the weeds, hoping that Stan Bowman is as spec said, playing possum on us a little bit with him saying he thinks they're done. If the oilers do anything else, I see it as a depth type ad, whether it be on forward or maybe defense as well. I just can't see something working out. Hey, I'll be happy to be proven wrong and give us something fun to to banter about for the coming weeks. But moving on, the hurricanes who are the oilers opponent tonight been pretty quiet so far as deadline, nothing of note making moves on the hurricanes front. But if they were to make a splash today, which we know they like to do around

9:40this time of year, I think it comes in the form of a second line center. And I'm still circling at a reunion with Vincent Trochek seems to make the most sense to me. Any Trochek, huh? I assume that that's the team that he would want to go to. He is. He said that he would prefer to stay out. He's obviously he's familiar with the organization. I think the reason he left Carolina the first place was a financial. I don't believe it. And we know the hurricanes like to nickel and dime people pretty good. It's kind of just the way the organization is. But to my memory, I don't believe there was any negative feelings or connotations about his departure from Carolina. So maybe a reunion will be welcomed. You know, out of all the positions where Carolina, you know, when you look at them, down the middle might be where they're the weakest, but they're still they're not a weak center ace team. It's they're a really good hockey team. And you know, maybe at times, you know, Jarvis has moved into to that role too. I like the way their lines are set up right

10:43now with Jarvis Ajo and Svenchenikov. I mean, that's a killer first line. So I don't know if Rod Brindimer would want to move that around. Having said that when you've got, you know, that third line, again, it was great last year. They're just getting a little long in the tooth, aren't they? Yeah. And Nick Yathers has been playing some time. There's a hat trick the other night playing alongside Jarvis. And Martin Nook. He wasn't happy. No, I think he was mad because they were they were taking too long because he scored with like 10. I saw that. Yeah. But I mean, I think they're running a 2C as Logan Stankovan right now. So out of all the positions that you're correct, Duke. And I think Vincent Trollcheck would be a good fit there. I just don't know if he wants to leave New York. It's kind of seeming that way. But hey, if the Hurricanes get creative, do they pry a name we haven't been hearing much about out from somewhere else that can bolster them down the middle because I'm as a fan, a big a fan of Logan Stankovan as anybody you'll find. But can you improve that spot a little bit maybe bigger

11:45down the middle to complement what you have in aho up top stalls your third line check and center who is as fierce a competitor as anybody. Yeah, I think the Hurricanes are maybe one substantial addition away from being close to my cup contenders once again, which they seemingly have been for me several seasons consecutive now. I'm more in line with that statement. You just made one substantial addition as opposed to it being a 2C. I'm in on the question though because the canes have shown they're willing to make moves pull the trigger. You saw it last year with Brandon, right? Like they're they're willing to get them and then ship them back out again a month or two months later. But they're they're not they're they're an organization that's not rigid. They're they're they're they're very yeah, they don't let themselves go to players. Exactly. And they're they'll they'll mold and they'll bend and they'll adjust and I like that out of the organization. So I'll be in on that just because they've shown that in the past. It is south of the border though because the legal tampering period for the NFL is a couple days away. Right now, I guess you would say we're in the illegal tampering period and several deals in place. There won't be official until the late New Year, yada, yada, yada. But we saw DJ Moore get traded yesterday. The bills kind of fill their much-needed spot for a legitimate WR-1 on the depth chart. I think this kind of swittles things down. If AJ Brown does in fact get traded out of Philadelphia, the only logical landing spot I have left is to the Patriots. Yeah, in very logical place, it would be. You're in at the reunion. There's a need there with them cutting staff, but then like variable, right? Drafted him in Tennessee. Knows what the guy's about. That's a different player off the field than when he drafted him. Do you want to get into all this drama? But you're the Patriots. The Patriot way.

14:53Yeah, well, I would say absolutely because look at what they just got themselves into a step digs. So they've shown a willingness. They'll put the drama aside. Randy Moss coming off drama. The Patriots have shown they'll take a shot on receivers despite the outside noise. And usually that shot pays off for them. Sure, I'll go in. I'll go in for sure. I'd like to see. I'd like to see him there. Makes sense. I'm really going to get a couple more weapons. I mean, there's no denying that they need wear off offense. And like Trayvon Henderson seems to be the air apparent at running back. He needs to work on his blocking and some of that. The more intangible parts of the game, but in terms of an electric player standpoint, he's right up there. But they need a difference maker, a wide out to compliment what they have a quarterback. 17:01Wow. I'm old Duke. I'll probably be out too. What's yours? It's a chocolate chip. Just a simple. Yeah. Yeah. And depends. Like sometimes, like, and we brought up that brand, Dad's cookies a while back. And they remember they had that four or five pack, like the different very, it was the variety pack. Yeah. They had the one with the hole in the middle. That was the sort of the chocolate, chocolatey one. Then they have the harder cookie one with the icing on it. And then just the normal chocolate chip cookie, which is a little harder. It's not soft. It was harder. But once you dip that into your milk, it softens it up. Yeah, it does. To me, that would be the one. And so that's my reasoning for the Oreo. Like a chocolate chip cookie and, you know, maybe one out of a box or something isn't quite the same, but a homemade one in particular. If they're fresh, they're a little bit softer to them or maybe to stick them in the in the microwave for like tens of years, soften them up, get the chocolate melted again. The milk is nice, but the crunch of the Oreo to soften that up. And then you get the cookies and cream flavored milk to drink

18:01once it's all done. It's the perfect combination. I like. I don't think you can beat it. Biscoths. What's that? Like the ones you would get on an airplane? Like the Biscoth cookies? You know what? And he likes those the best because they're free. No, no, because you can buy them. So what I'll do is the biscuit, you don't know what Biscoths are? Yeah, but you don't know what it's like. Yeah, but Duke, you get like the two pack of the Biscoths and you just put them all in the milk. Yes, it is just to mush at the bottom. You know, you just drink that up. Oh my drink. The mush is crazy. Develops at the bottom. Mm-hmm. Just soggy mush. That's what I like to do. I don't like the dip and eat. That's insane. I like to dip, put the whole cookie so like a chocolate chip, for example, KK. Just stabbing it down in the fork and turning it into a piece. No, no, you don't stamp it. You just let that sucker soak. But are you like, so how do you eat it? You drink it at the end. It just turns the mush at the bottom. Do you like, you're like the, what's the Russian guy in rounders? Do you, do you click him by your ear too and see exactly what's

19:03going to happen here? Check, check, check, check. Is that you too? Oh, you're funny, man. You're funny. That's a good one, Duke. Yeah, like I mean, there's so many at it. I mean, it's so many good cookies. So here's maybe a counter type question. Are there any cookies that you think are not good by dipping them into a glass of milk? Oh, not good. It's the cookies that have M&M's in them, the monster cookies or whatever. Those are good on their own because they have enough going on. They got chocolate chips. They got the M&M's. You don't need that extra stuff. You don't need it, but it's nice. I don't think it adds anything. It doesn't add anything to it, though, Eddie. Here's one that we didn't mention and Warren just texted in a ginger snap cookie. See, I actually would be, if I was thinking of a cookie that I'm saying, keep that away from milk, that might be near the top of my list. Yeah. It's long as the flavor wise works, but if you're getting a ginger snap, you want it to snap. That's kind of a point. Like ginger, a gingerbread cookie in a milk 100%
