And the owners were on the road and we wrapped up the Olympic Games. This week, it's a tad different. The owners have a couple of home games. They are home to the Ottawa Senators. Tomorrow and then the Carolina Hurricanes are here on Friday. The owners have lost five of six, including Saturdays,

4:04five, four lost to the San Jose Sharks in yesterday. They placed a couple of players on waivers and Ramanja Pani, Alex Ragula. And we will find out some time around Nunesh today. I guess somewhere in that where we will find out if anyone decides to take Ragula, there's a possibility there just because of age, contract, things like that, right hand shot, D-man, and maybe you've got a hole in your lineup for a team in the league that goes, well, this is a guy that we can fit in here as a six, seven if we've got an injury or two. Mangia Pani, quite the different scenario, really, with his contract, with one more year left at 3.6 million, and just the type of season that he's had, quite likely that he gets sent down once he clears waivers. The owners will free up a little bit of salary cap,

5:08and maybe it gives them the opportunity to trade, make a trade here with the deadline coming up on Friday. And you've got a few days here, just one more game before the deadline passes and Friday afternoon. So we'll see exactly what direction this team's going in here, because, well, the direction they're going in and the standings isn't good. Anaheim Duxwin last night in a shootout over the Calgary Flames, and as a result now, the owners are distancing themselves from the Dux. They've got 66 points, the owners do. The Dux have 69, and the Dux also have two games in hand. Right now, I mean, the owners have winning percentage that isn't good enough to crack a playoff spot right now. Other teams have games in hand on them, and they are a mediocre team. They are just a mediocre team, which is confusing.

6:13Maybe it's expected. Everyone knows how top-heavy they've been this year. The goal-tending has not been even close to being good enough to win a playoff series, not even close. Right now, the owners have the fourth worst goals against in the league, 206 goals against. They've got the second best goals for in the national hockey league, with 215. So, 215 goals for, 206 goals against Tide, with Anaheim I think it is too, because Anaheim given up a couple of last nights, fourth worst in the NHL. They had 19 giveaways on Saturday in San Jose. There could have been probably 40 that were, you know, that weren't written down or weren't logged. It seemed like there was a lot more than 19. But again, this is an opportunity where they kept coming back, coming back. They got behind the eight ball, and a play where the goal tenders out of

7:15wandering to get a stick. I mean, that was just a smart play by Conor Ingram. Could a defenseman give it a mistake? Probably. It just wasn't, and that's, and they were behind the eight ball. It seemed all game and pressing and pushing, pressing. But when you tie it up, and I mean, I was, you know, everyone was pulling for Trent Frederick to get off the Schneid first goal as they were saying in the opening there, Duke headed on 28 games or whatever it is. I mean, that's a long time coming for his third goal of the season. So, the turnovers, the giveaways, rampant, and that's again, part and parcel, where the winners are, where the winners are. Texas A33401440. Rockford says, would you trade a nurse for Morgan Riley? I don't even know. I mean, it's just one problem for another problem. Riley's cap hits less than nurses, two players struggling. I mean, we watched Morgan Riley there,

8:22and that game last week just backing up and basically a sniper got him, went down. He's, he's having a tough going in Toronto. Nurses having a tough go here. And if it's a trade problem for problem, I just don't know if they could make it happen to be honest with you. I don't know about Riley's contract protection. Everyone knows that nurse has a no movement clause. Morgan Riley has, I believe, similar. He has a full no move and he's at seven and a half. But again, the contract is all the way through 2930. Nurses in the same boat. What it's, so it's, it's a million and a half less and a little bit more than that 1.7. I guess something like that. Less, they're relatively the same age. The whole bit left Chaudy. Nurses bigger doesn't play as big as he should. Riley, he's just struggling and maybe I don't think a trade would ever happen again because of the got both guys have the the no movement clause.

9:25Yesterday also in the NHL, Jim Hiller fired as head coach of the Los Angeles Kings. They bring in DJ Smith as their intern and actually a former Euler Matt Green who works in their player development. He will be in as kind of an assistant, an assistant under Smith. So it's funny. The Euler's went into crypto.com last week on Thursday night and hammered them eight one and Kenny Holland said he needed to make this move for success now and moving forward. And actually the Kings come out on the Saturday and have a pick up a two nothing win. Then he gets canned after the win. So the Kings right now are at 62 points. They're three back of a playoff spot. Seattle and that second hole in the wild card. So a fair bit of other news to talk about and and we'll discuss that as the morning progresses. If you watched a little of that cognizant classic

10:27golf man, you had to feel for Shane Lowry. Did you not this guy? I mean, they basically gave him the trophy, gave him the tournament and then he goes into the bear trap and all of a sudden he loses his swing. Can't find it. Takes a double. Can't reball. Takes another double. And just like that, the tournament that was his and look like he was basically had one hand on the trophy goes to Nico Etchervaria and the Colombian comes up with a big win and picks up 1.7 million in the process. And I'll tell you, if you watched Shane Lowry's post round news conference, you could feel from he wanted to win for his little daughter. Those four years old, never seen him win and he just kind of got ahead of himself and ran. The swings like, if you look at the swings, you're like, this guy you've ever golfed before. What's going on? And he was so good. He was like, Dino Mike JJ up until you got to the last couple of holes. At that point, double double and things really changed dramatically. But no, I was back home the week for the weekend. My sister was curling with my mom and another

12:35sister and a family friend in the Erskine Ladies Bond spiel. And so as a result, I was tasked with helping to manage the three children out at the farm along with my brother and law Wilson. And I was mostly there as an entertainment value. So Wilson could go and, you know, try and get some chores done. There's still Kevin out the last of the cows getting ready for bullseye cone of the spring. So that was largely my responsibility. It was just as an entertainment factor trying to eat them from pulling each other's ears off. And did that for a couple days and returned home last night, absolutely beat down dog tired. What do you do to get a big game of jenga going or what? Oh, listen, there's all sorts of things entertainment. They love being outside. So we're out in the barn for a little bit feeding. There's a six new baby goats over at the farm, which they love playing with them and chasing around a little bit. So we take care of those. We play some hockey in the in the one part of the cabin bar in there. So we can escape the cold on Saturday, doing that, playing inside. We watch some curling, watch some oilers on Saturday afternoon. We went to watch my sisters and mom curl Saturday night, watch some get

13:37absolutely steamboated. We were like, we got there in about the second end, second end. And I think it was over after five. They shook them at that point. Oh, they just got absolutely steamrolled. They'd been playing much better the previous games of based on what we'd been bored. My mom was skipping. Oh, yeah, it was a tough scene, man. It was a tough scene. It was to the point that at a certain point, my mom signals me over to the door, over out to the surface, hands me some money and says, go get us some shots from the bar upstairs. You're kidding. Oh, yeah, that's the classic move. If you're not playing good, you got to get some shooters from upstairs to try and turn the tides. I bring them down. They wanted fireball. I go up to the bar upstairs. The guy says, I don't think we got any fireball. We're pretty limited up here. I say, when he got anything other than just the standard regular liquors here, he's like, oh, we got this hasn't been opened yet. It's a peanut butter tequila. And I say, all right, let's give that a go. And I carry it down. I watch them all do them, makes a pretty sour faces. And they say, yeah, it might be a couple ends too late at this point. And indeed, it was. But yeah, fun weekend. No complaints got back last, yes, last night, yesterday afternoon. And it was pretty

14:42dog tired. Did everyone on the ring have a shot? Them just the four of them. Okay. Yeah, they've never had one. No, why would I want one? Well, I'm not going yet. I'm not curling. He might as well have one with them. No, I was very dedicated, focused on my duties of watching the children. They call you Uncle Duke or what? No, they call me Uncle Brandon. Uncle Bran sometimes. They're shortening it. We did a lot of rastling in the living room too, which that tuckered me out pretty good. Yeah, Duke, I'm picturing like an Uncle Buck scenario here, you know, John Candy. Yeah. Nice. Not too far off. You probably got that great big. You're trying to make a big one, great, big pancake. I don't have to do any cooking, thankfully. Wilson's even because I was back and forth from the other farm a little bit, well, once anyway. So I came back. There was pancakes waiting for me on Sunday morning. Wilson whipped up some lunch. We had supper. There was concurring Saturday nights. So no, it was, it was pretty good. I, I got by pretty scot free, but it's always fun to spend some time with them anyway. Text 833401440. Only nine points out of a wild card. I was going to say, keep in mind that they also picked up a point, I believe, on Friday night losing to my ducks who are red hot. They are hot, Duke. It's a red hot, Kevin. Did you, well, I watched the game last night. I caught peace. I was watching it kind of passively. I guess maybe you could say as I was going about my return home routine and getting the show ready for some guest books and so on that, but I did have it on. Yeah, going to a shootout. They beat, they beat the flames. So that was good. Three straight victories coming out of the break. Well, they've got a five-game winning streak going on. Yeah, four, yeah. And really, I mean, Vegas has lost two in a row and the ducks are one point back of first place Vegas and the Pacific. Don't look at me. Don't look now. Don't look now. I mean, they could easily. They could, they could win the division, Duke. I got a future on it, Kevin. Do you really? Yeah, I got a terrible price,

16:50though, because I was too late to do it after they had that really good start to the season. Then I jumped on the bandwagon and yeah, my price isn't as good as it would have been if I'm sure if I put it in preseason, but all the same gives me something to root for down the stretch. We never take any time off when we when we do take time off, we're usually helping out or something like that. They can show the coffees full. Well, and you know what they say though, Tide, the graveyard's full of people who thought they were irreplaceable. Especially in radio, man. You better believe it. Yeah, you've got that right. Yeah, Duke was just telling you and he was telling our listeners that he was babysitting all weekend, man. I picture like an Uncle Buck scenario there, you know. Yeah, I

22:01think so. You know, I my feeling is they they they did get him to babysit, but there were cameras everywhere. You know, probably probably somebody monitoring it, you know, like they do a security cams and I'm sure they weren't far away. They probably just drove around the corner and had a, you know, ordered food outnated in the car. Yeah, you know, I mean, the trust level can't be high. Yeah, no, it can't be. It's it's low. It's low for sure. Oh, there's a couple guys on waivers yesterday. One of them will likely not get selected in Manjapani, but there's maybe a possibility. Someone takes a fire on regula. What would you? Is it like one in five, one in six? Something like that. What are you thinking? Ordinarily, I'd say one in five is really good. The problem is we're at the deadline and there's always teams that are looking for, you know, everybody's banged up like every defenseman has some god awful thing happening to them. And you know, they're they're they're playing through pain. And so there's a there's a contender out there who just wants an

23:03extra body and maybe even for a couple of weeks, but I I think there's a better I'll say there's a 40% chance he gets blamed. Yeah. And I mean, it would save I think between the two of them. About 1.8 that gets saved on the cap. You think about Yan Mark and his situation. So there's some added funds that can maybe are freed up here as the trade deadline as you mentioned. So I mean, there's opportunity, but I don't know. I use the word mediocre for this team right now, Ty. They're just a mediocre team. Well, they're they have made in roads. They have been they're better now. And when the big David and dry side aligns are off the ice at five on five, but it's not it's not consistent. We saw it on the weekend where there were two games in California that were, you know, I mean, if you know, there weren't snow on the ground, I would have been mulled along every 11 minutes. It was just one of those periods where the the attention to tail was so bad. And they they I think that that Paul coffee coming in mid season, changing

24:04some things, you know, are probably are going to have moments like this, but they they can't play a consistent game. And it is a problem. And you know, they they changed out the gold ending and we're not sure that it's better. I think that Jari and Ingram deserve a longer period than we've seen. But part of it is the way they played expensively, you know, in terms of structure, in terms of awareness. I mean, right now, the Evanton Oilers, if there's a loose puck in the Evanton Oilers zone, the chances of the opponent finding that damn puck over an Oilers player is about 90% and that's just awareness. El Mitchell with us on sports 1440 have been trying and talking about Darnell Nurse and whoever his D partner is for. Man, it's an awful long time. And for whatever reason it is. And I honestly thought that Jake Walman could be a solution there. At times when you look at these two guys on the ice and you look at the amount of games that they've played in

25:04the NHL, it's where that they they have no idea of how to play together. Can you put your finger on why or what you're seeing here, tied? Well, what I like to do is I like to go back and have a look at at times when a player was successful. Nurse had success with Cody C.C. Fans were still not happy, but they're, you know, they were over 50% as, you know, at five on five and I was scoring Nurse Bouchard is also over 50%. Nurse Stetcher was pretty good. And last year, Nurse Walman worked well. This year not so much. I think part of it is that Walman's been hurt a little bit. And Nurse is like, I don't know why, but he's not having a terrific year. And that's a fact. And, you know, people, I guess somebody sent me a video video of the play where Walman tries to get the puck back to Ingram and it ends up being a goal against because nobody can cover it. And I don't know why Walman just didn't fire it down the ice, but it was sent to me a couple of times by people saying, look how bad Nurse is. And I'm like, well, you know, the Nurse isn't the

26:08problem there, but people are, are, you know, in Edmonton, there's a period of time where, where fans get so down on a player that it becomes almost, well, we saw it was to its skitter. It becomes like the story. And I think we're there with Nurse. We've been there with Nurse before. But, you know, he has a lot of natural talent. He has been a defenseman who has played well in the past. And I mean, I don't think they're going to be able to get a defenseman who can play right side with Nurse based on how much money and how many assets they have to play with. The owners are in a spot a bother here with the cap and with assets out. Unless they're willing to trade Matt Savoy, I don't see a big move happening here. I see more like a third pairing right defenseman than a second pair. I don't see them trading Matt Savoy. I mean, he had, this was a great weekend that he had these three games. They didn't want to have six points. So I don't see, yeah, he got to keep him there. They're not trading him. There's no way. Yeah. So then we get to, okay, and I agree with you. I don't think they should or will trade him.

27:14But then the reality sets in and we're probably, you know, I mean, we're probably talking with Connor Murphy, you know, and I don't know that fans will be thrilled with that. The deadline with Connor Murphy when the team's playing so poorly, that's not going to make them happy. But the trade for Kristen Jari's been a lot of the cap. Adam Henry reportedly not willing to wave. Magic upon he's been waved now. But that's, that's a different deal. So in terms of cap, they have a little bit of room in terms of assets. If they're not trading Savoy, they could trade the 2027 first round pick, but they don't have a lot. And, and so we'll see, but I, I, like, I don't see Bobby McMahon and something coming here. I don't see two big moves like that. And you say, well, it's not a big move, but it kind of is because there's not a lot of sellers this year. Yeah, they don't have a first. They don't have a fourth. They don't have a fifth in 2026. They have their first in 2027 and 2028. But now you're talking way down the road, as far as what your

28:17currency is. And they just don't have anything. They don't have a lot in the miners after Icoher. They don't have a whole lot. I mean, you can talk about Samansky. You can talk about some other guys. But I mean, these are guys that haven't played very much in the NHL at all. So you're, I think you're out on a limb here with what the, what the currency you have here, Todd. Yeah, I agree. And I think like, look, I think Josh, Josh Samansky is a really good young player, but his, his trade value is, is, you know, he's not, he's not famous yet, right? Like in a way that Icoher would be with first round pick, everybody saw him and evaluated him, same with Savoy. You know, and, and, um, you know, I saw Maddie tweeting out about Thai Emerson. And maybe that's a guy you trade, but Emerson's good. I like Thai Emerson. I don't know why you would trade Thai Emerson or Spencer Stashti. I, I think a seventh offense, but a six seven guy, a third pairing guy is probably where they're going to land. If they can't find a, you know, a right shot, you know, center, I keep giving, I mean, they need a right shot center. And Seattle is unhappy with

29:21their kid with the Shane Wright. I don't know that a deal could be made. But I'd rather go that route because you're, you know, man, they keep renting these guys, and they're 33 years old, and if they play well, they sign them to a no movement clause. That, for me, the theme this week is no movement clause. It's going to kill this deadline for the others. It just is. I, you know, with Emerson, they're tied. It's not crazy to say a lot of the, a lot of the, a lot of the time this season, a lot of the games, he's been their third best defenseman. That's so, you know, at a price point of 1.3 million, I mean, that, that's just poor management if you were to trade him. Yeah, I agree. But you're, you're in a situation now where you're asking for players, and the other team is coming back and they're asking for players, you don't want to trade. It may come down to, we'll see, because coffee just got there, but they may move all of them down with, with Emerson for the second pair, Kurt Nurse, Bush, I don't people will be mad, but you, or maybe you put Nurse on the third pair, people will go be outraged by that. But you, look, we saw them play on in California this weekend.

30:26This is untenable. You can't go to war with this group as they're currently matched up together, because there's too much chaos. And, and, you know, the, the, I like what they're doing with the outlets with coffee here now. They're using the middle of the ice more. I think the gapping between the forwards and the defense, but it's better. I think there are improvements, but, you know, I mean, you mentioned Savoy, Frederick, scored a goal. I love Frederick. I'm just cheering like hell for him, because I, former Bruin, and he played so well there, and I think he's got game and, and people will grow to enjoy him. But if they could, and we can do like Conor Brown a couple of years ago, and just turn his season around, that would be great. So there are some positives, but not on the defensive side. They've got to figure it out, and maybe it's a, like a paring shuffle, maybe something like that, because, you know, they got some good teams come with the town this month. And, and the, I don't know if anybody's looked at it, but the playoff picture, you know, on, on, on, uh, January 30th, they were in a time with Vegas and points for

31:27first place in the Pacific. Vegas had two games in hand, and they've gone one five and oh since that, and they've looked, they've looked like a one five oh team. When McDavid and Drisidler on the ice, they're a championship caliber team, when they're off the ice, they're an expansion team. They've got to fix that, and they have no money. There's no money. 33:31he's not in a shell goal. He sent them to, you know, Europe or whatever. It's hard to play goal in front of this team. They are, they are offense oriented. They want to move the puck out. They don't really want to play defense. And I get that. Want to create the puck and get it out. But when they have to play defense, they're not good at it. So the, the, you know, a couple of the goals were like nobody, nobody could see the puck and then all of a sudden an L.A. King player found it and ripped it into the net. So I, I think you have to. You, your puck committed. I mean, everybody wants Jesper Wallstead, but how are you going to get him out of Minnesota? You don't have the assets to help Minnesota this year. So it's, it's a, it's a pipe train. They've already committed. And I think that, that, you know, when, when we go through life, we understand, sometimes, you know, your company will work for a higher somebody and they're like, what the devil do they do that for? You've got to give them a chance. And I think that both Ingram and Jerry, you know, they've, they've shown well at times and then poorly at times. But let's give Paul coffee a little opportunity here to get this team sorted out because they've got a, there's a lot

34:36of confusion. And, and they were, they were less predictable on the coast. I think if they're less predictable, that's probably good. But my god, they've got to tighten up. Holy man, some of those plays that ended up in goals against in California were, were, they were Washington Capitol 7475 bad. They were simply awful. Dennis Marook. Yeah. That's right. That's that's right. You got, you got a rookie out there who's never played and Doug Moons, who's 46 out there playing on defense. It was, it was bad. It really was. And Ronnie Lohanette, yeah. We're on low. Don't look at his goals against average. That season. It's in the fives, the fives. Unbelievable. For sure. Alan Mitchell with this on sports 1440. You know, just with regula and the possibility of he gets claimed, we'll see what happens. But I mean, they went through this already earlier in the year where, you know, they put Troy Stetcher on waivers. And now to, to, you know, when you think about it. So what in three months now, you're putting another guy

35:38on waivers again that that probably was a decision at that point between Stetcher and regula, not? Yeah. Well, for sure. But this is about cap. You know, this is about cap and, and they, you know, they set them down for conditioning. Let me, let me change my answer. This regula hasn't played well. I like him as a defenseman. But this is, we can't trust him and we got to get him off the roster. And maybe they have a deal for him. I think they, they wouldn't mind having him playing back this field. He plays well there. And maybe he'll strengthen his game out. I think he has an NHL future. But he's coming back after a year off and they're not going to count on them. They're not going to count on him in the, in the playoffs. They're going to replace him for another defenseman here in the next few days. But I, I mean, I think that the mistake with Stetcher was a mistake, hindsight being 2020. But and defensemen are so valuable that this time of year, you're going to pay a premium on them. But they, NHL teams are always worried about size on defense. And they had Stetcher and Emberson on the right side, along with Bhushart, who's not a

36:42physical guy. And that's why I think they, you know, at some level, there's a possibility that they just go, okay, you know what, we're only going to go get one guy because that's all we can afford. Let's go get Conor Murphy out of Chicago. Yeah. Well, we're going to see what happens here in the next few days. And the wheels will start in motion here once we figure out around noon or whatever time it is with Monty Pony with regula. And then again, as you mentioned, we have Yan Mark, a decision to make on him. So there is going to be a little bit of play, a little bit of room to play with here. No. The power play time, maybe, maybe you can

44:02argue that a little bit in the sense that, you know, the five guys that they go with or the five guys that are going for a buck 30 for sure. So I can see that, but, you know, when you look at the players, the Oilers have tried and rolled the dice with, they're not big power play guys, like, you know, in the past, maybe they were bit players on the power play. So I don't think that that would come into play. Jane Victoria, listening to the talk of everything is Bowman's job in trouble. Some big misses, possibly the worst times. I don't know if he feels like he's on the hot seat here, but there's no question that some of the decisions that have been made here have to be, you know, he's got to be pulled up under the carpet because, I mean, let's be honest, the Jari for Skinner trade, when you looked at it, Jari just for Skinner, okay, well, you know, that's doable because at the time everyone said, well, both guys need a change of scenery and both

45:06guys need this. Both guys are, you know, they're just, they've been really, the fan base has been giving it to them and they're having trouble. And maybe a change of scenery was the best thing. And that's what everyone said. But then when you add up the other pieces, when you add and you throw in Brett Kulek and now what's been happening on defense since the trade, they can't keep the puck under their own net. And yes, Kulek had a tough stretch for, you know, in November or whatever it was. But you saw what he has done in the playoffs for the last two long playoff runs where he's playing 20 plus minutes a game, massive, massive contributor. And then a second round draft pick and to be honest with you, a second round draft pick is going to be the way things are going right now. It is going to be what probably mid second round. So you're looking at about 45, 45, 46 overall, whereas before you thought, okay, well, you know, if you can get to the Stanley Cup

46:10final where they've done the last couple of seasons, now it's way different. But I mean, just think if the orders fall into the number two hole in the wild card, you know, then they go over to the central. You might as well just again, think about how you have to go through Colorado. Then you got to go through either Minnesota and or Dallas. Look, it's just insane. And then if you ever got by that, what do you got left when you face off the Pacific division champion in that bracket? Jason says dealing Kulek, losing Stetscher and Regula for nothing and looking for a D-man at the deadline is almost shurelly like man. Can I argue with you, man? Can I argue with you? Dave says that anyone noticed McDavid was on for all five goals against San Jose, speed of the captain, speed of the crew. Well, I think Connor McDavid was on for every goal, except for Trent Fredrick's goal. I think he was on the ice for every goal in that game.

The problem is they just don't have the currency to get one of those guys without throwing in maybe an Emberson or a Howard or whatever it is. Like the 27, the 27 first round draft pick is their highest currency that they have. 8 through 3, 4, 0, 1, 14, 40. Did you watch the whole game on Saturday? Duke there or how was that working with over? Yeah, I had it on as I was in the house for the afternoon. So another thing kind of almost passively at times, but with how many goals or scored it was tough to watch that pass because every couple of minutes you hear it's play by plays, they had another one in the back of the net and yeah, it was it was a tough outing and to an extent, I think it almost takes away from what they accomplished in Los Angeles the couple nights

48:13previous where you absolutely Molly walked the Kings, but you say, okay, maybe the Kings just really stink because when you factor in how the others looked against Anaheim, how they looked at San Jose and I'm talking specifically defensively, goal tending, however, each guy getting a turn in net, you can try and spell it as an off night for each player, but the emphasis on defense continues to plague this team and lack thereof maybe the better way to put it. So yeah, it was it was frustrating. I'm sure for the fans of the team watching, it was frustrating to watch because you know, Darnell Nurse has a really rough outing that pairing of him and Walman continue just to struggle might in all situations. It's it's a little bit flabbergasting to me at this point, Kevin, because as you in low tide pointed out, this has the makings and we've said it all year of a team that should be competing for a division title and you know, chance to get back to Stanley Cup final, but some of the changes they've made just haven't worked and then even some of the things they were banking on repeatability also haven't panned out and as a result, here they are, all the sudden

49:14battling for a playoff spot in that third spot of the Pacific division. Yeah. And how many times, Duke, I've said, this is going back, but you look at last year, the way that Jake Walman played on the offside at times, you go, he's only going to get better. He's only going to get better. And I thought he was going to get better playing the off off D, but he's gotten worse and I don't understand. I don't understand that that how the more you know, you're doing something and you're getting this opportunity that it's not coming together for you. Remember last year, Duke, when like, who was on the hot seat a lot was Steve Iserman, right? Because everyone was saying, Man, you had to tie a second round draft pick to send him away. To send him to San Jose. Yeah. Then the Oilers give up a first rounder for him. Yeah. And everyone was like, couldn't understand because when they started to see Jake Walman and how what he could offer, they were like, this guy's got some stuff like he's a good player. But now I don't understand. And if he's been injured and he's not 100%, that's the only thing I can think of because

50:18never mind all the physical tools because we know how big he is and we know how strong he is. He's a great skater. And he's like, the guy's got pipes on him. Like, you know, you've seen him in the interviews is like, you know, he's got guns. Like, he is a strong guy. But the upstairs is what's I don't understand. And almost everything you just said, the same can be applied to Darnal Nurse. And in the case of Nurse of who this isn't a new conversation, it had quiet at times because I thought last year he actually played quite well throughout the vast majority of the season and had a solid playoffs again. But just kind of circling the drain here a little bit in that second pairing right now. I just really, and when we've floated this out there, the notion of maybe splitting up Bhushar to that comb to try and get these other two guys out of this funk so they seem to be mired in. But at that, what do you risk there? Because then all of a sudden the only reliable thing you've had on the back end for for a good chunk of this season since the rough start is out the window too. And you're kind of back to square one, not something you want to be doing at the beginning of March. So I'm at a loss. And I understand the the

51:20frustrations coming from from fans and listeners and textures about this potential traded line move of bringing in another fringe third pairing. Has the ability maybe to play up into the second pair type guy, which is exactly what you traded away and breath cool act. But at this point, I think the opportunity to get somebody like that that is plays the right side and is right-handed. I seriously think it is something you have to explore because maybe the cost of acquisition wouldn't be as high to get a bona fide guy, of course. And you just need to change something up here. And unfortunately, there aren't any other internal options left for you to experiment with. Text 833401, 1440. Travis is well trading for defense and get the others to figure it out in their own zone. Well, something has to change. I mean, again, their defensive zone coverage, even on the second goal they're due. I mean, that's a power play goal. But if you look at what Walman and nurse are doing in front of the net, you're going, okay, well, it's like, here, you take it. I don't want it. Let me get out of the way. I like it's just one of those things where you

52:24go, this is a simple play. I guess Walman's thinking, well, if I give it to Ingram to cover up, we'll be free and clear. But I mean, he had a pretty wide open lane everywhere just to fire it out. It is watching that in real time. And then I had to focus on the replay because I had to double closely. Did I just see what I thought I saw where Walman's trying to stuff it into his own goal is pads who didn't seem very eager to take it necessarily. But then even as the broken play continues, the other three penalty killers are kind of standing there with their hands in their pocket a little bit. Not reg maybe they think Ingram has it. I'm not sure, right? It was just an ugly scene, ugly, ugly sequence, which is saying something because the first goal of the game, Conor Ingram was in a different area code when the puck goes in the net. So and that was a little bit of a silly decision in and of itself to indicate your net when the other teams in possession. I don't care if it's out towards center race. Yeah, just just a almost snowball effect of bad
