I know yeah you never know what to do in the road like anyway I should have been there earlier but what do you do I'm usually a guy that catches an early flight there wasn't one.

3:26Mm hmm well ever will sort that out would you think the game last night well again complete it's funny as I said when you invest and engage defensively like you do offensively or like you can. Offensively and when you do all those little things and you buy it and you have the battle level and you have the commitment and you decide that this is how tight we're going to play and we're going to block and we're going to be totally invested in what we do in our own end and with on the rush with the opposition. Things fall into place they've always had this game spec we just haven't seen it for more than a game or two here. Well fair enough right like we and will we see it for a second game in a row it's the big question isn't it is this the like this is really we've all we've been saying all here we watched them play this game we watched them do it back to back to back in playoff series and beat dollars for straight and Vegas and five and you know like this no one saying they can't do it. You know in the past but I'm starting to wonder if they can do it this season like it was there was a killer hockey game last night for the others they were excellent best player in the ice was Evan Bouchard was unbelievable slick last night just quiet and sharp snap passes right on the tape he was so good and they defended well and they got the golden when they needed it and now let's see if you can do it two days in a row right yeah so I mean.

4:55You had a little focus on Jerry and your article today or last night I thought the jury sure and would you be in him right no would you think like I mean his last quality start is almost two months ago yeah yeah exactly so you know he was I mean was he perfect he wasn't perfect he's he's a guy on his way back here you know I think he needs to do speaking a guy's doing stuff two three days in a row that's what he needs he's a few good starts in a row to be able to. You know to believe that that he's got it that is there for him but one in a row is the only place to start he was I thought you know like that shorthand goal he's got to get that pocket he's got to help his pk or not the power play goal I see yeah coming off the board he's got to grab that pocket stop play that's just a goal his job somehow it's not through it's in front of the net it's a goal boom guys not covered because probably everyone thinks goal is going to get the puck you know he wasn't perfect but he was good and and for I to my eye and I know people are saying he said all this run support and all that to my eye that's the first time in a long time the orders have really played stand up defensive game in front of him and let him sort of settle into a game without without facing five great ease in the first 10 minutes you know so it's team effort and he carried his part of the load

6:16when I when I watch him in the crease spec again I what I see is I see legs and pads they can be quieter they can be quieter he's you know the sliding around is just a little too much for me just a tad too much right now he still slides he overslides you know like I'm not a goalie expert but you don't have to be to see a guy that that's you know two feet past his post is no need to go out there right and the good goalies never do like about the good goalies but goalies who are quiet and effective on top of their game and that includes Jerry when he's playing well that she does a slide out there exactly for sure I thought there was a couple of rebounds that that shouldn't have been rebounds like the best goalie is the one the puck sticks to and there was a couple that hit him right in the torso that ended up in the slot and so there's things to improve on and that's just time and reps time and reps game I mean I said yesterday spec I'm going back to him tomorrow night in Vegas yeah not me no no I'm going back to Ingram I think it is funny though I mean if you look at that game tomorrow

7:24Vegas has the 30 second ranked safe percentage in the national hockey league in Edmonton as the 31st I guess I look at two I'm looking ahead to spec for Saturday and it's an afternoon game and that's why I'm kind of looking at it like that well the who you want to start that game well I guess both ways so you know that it's not a back to back but you know it's a 130 start so you're going to get back and whatever Friday is going to be day off right you think or not because maybe it isn't because it's a 130 game I don't know on Saturday these are tricky ones when you come off the road on Thursday night because if you don't have a practice Friday there's obviously no morning skate for a what times the game Saturday one 30 130 yeah so yeah it's obviously no morning skate so now you're looking at not touching the ice between Vegas and playing Anaheim on Saturday now what's Anaheim doing I'd have to look that up see if there's an advanced decided advantage there well Anaheim will play Thursday night they've got to play Thursday night and I'll I can't play Friday night so yeah

8:29I'll check that for sure on Thursday I mean listen whatever they're in calories dukes is there in Calgary they're in Calgary Thursday so will they come to ever to skate Friday maybe I don't know I don't know whatever those guys are that's why that's why and I want to like I want to give Jerry I want to give him this game again and then I'll go back to England on Saturday well I mean first of all they plan this stuff we further open let's see how you played Tuesday and we'll make our call on Thursday I'm not saying that you can't pivot yeah but I guarantee you the orders have it planned out that that you know they had probably told England before they left for this trip I'm sure they told England for left this trip we're going to start to Thursday could they pivot and change yeah they could yeah they could you know yeah you mentioned even on the defensive side with Bouchard at a really good game I that Emerson pass on that first goal that just that to me I had to look I thought hey was that Bouchard not that was just a slick little retrieval

9:31he just wheeled into the corner and flipped that puck out I think was on the back hand right in the tee and as that line rush went up the ice I was the press box so to speak there is really at the top of the lower bowl in the corner and those guys were skating away from me and they three guys like when I think Nugin Hopkins took the pass yeah Nugin into all and yeah yeah and he took the pass and all three guys were going like that that's why the pass was so perfect because all three guys came down low and started building a speed the puck was on the tape boom was the three on two line rush you know it ends up on Nugin Hopkins stick he gives it to Rostovick and he just he does have he is a finisher Rostovick sure he is he he can finish man he ripped that puck far post yeah so yeah that was it and again that rush doesn't happen without a quiet little I didn't see did Emerson get a point on that no because he was it's it's Emerson to Nugin and then to Walman and so Walman made the play over

13:36part of the game of the scoreboard yeah so it was loud in there i don't know what messed up across on TV they didn't know about good fans it was loud they still aren't exactly sure when to cheer but they just cheer anyway yeah you know which we've seen in all those new arenas yeah exactly uh... but it's it's a nice looking hockey market and they've put a on the work into that rink man they raise the floor two feet he raised the floor they're in two feet over the summer wow you know you know it's crazy so we had Matt McConnell on play by play guy yesterday and you know he just is raving about he was in Arizona for so many years he had uh... he had one of the best lines that i've heard anyone come on the show with spec so he he starts talking about you know using Arizona for how many years with the coyotes and you know what it was like there and then you see these contracts that have been signed you know for the last couple of days with with schmaltz and things like that and he goes

14:36he says well and this like the salary cap thing here is it's kind of foreign to me he says yeah right having an owner that pays his bills like they got a foreign kind of foreign to me uh... hey james hamlin called up last night as emergency i i wouldn't be surprised if he gets a game here i i could see him going in for your venti maybe well yeah your empty plate i don't know how many minutes he played about eight but he i think uh... yeah eight fifty two just about nine um... i didn't mind you know he was okay blasting up and down the wing is a fourth liner look like he had some confidence i didn't mind him he's got good size you know but could could hamlin do the same thing probably for sure he's a little smaller yeah smaller but no everyone likes james hamlin he's he is the classic tweener he's often times the best guy on the baker's field roster that he comes up here and there's not really sort of you know a place for him

15:38he's not skilled enough to be a top six sentiment he's probably a little small to be a bottom six sentiment yeah but he's got a ton of respect in this organization and he's he gives you everything he's gotten a matter where you play him in what city and what league yeah everybody loves hammer here so i hope he gets a game i get asked you this then so you know what everyone was saying that you does a lock here to make the playoffs they're not they're not a lock to make the playoffs okay that's because nationals coming on here spec and between Nashville and we haven't seen them while we guys we just saw them recently but so we're going to see we just saw you talk and see Vegas tomorrow gonna see anaheim there's a good chance that the others will play one of those teams first round but you got to take Nashville into that mix too who do you think is the orders best match up out of those teams that i mentioned well i i mean i got to say Nashville because they they've been beaten Nashville for fun for about eight years first of all Utah's make it i mean the next team after the next closest teams the LA Kings and there's six points behind Utah yeah

16:41but i'm just saying because of how what what bracket they would go into you know they might Utah might fall and have to go through the central they don't want that nobody wants that they're fighting to get into the pillow fight division for sure hey they're they're six clearer of LA with a game in hand yeah they're going to make the playoffs you know the only i mean could LA catch Nashville i suppose they could they could catch Utah still spec six points with ten games to play come on catch a Utah i mean six points with ten games to play no one makes up what if it were for what what if it were four points but it's six yeah but they got a game in hand whatever i don't know sure i'll believe that when i see when i see Duke buzz passing on a scale hey never mind never mind maybe the jettel sneak in here yet spec yeah i don't that too i mean there's just we've swatched it before there's so many three point games and and there's teams to pass

17:42and everyone's playing pretty hard here you know they did give you know i'll tell you right now the team you want to play in the first rounds Vegas yeah that's the team you want to play in first out there they're just like Edmonton with even worse goal training they can't find their game either they got beat up and fit in Winnipeg last night four one but if they do find their game spec if they do you know what i guess if they do they're different but they're goal tending like Ingram that's another reason i start Ingram of the four goalies that are going to take part in that game tomorrow Ingram's going by far the best out of all four they don't know who they like there like they just don't have a goalie that they that they can start that they that they trust so I don't this isn't Vegas is here i think this could be it for Cassidy i think this is a year that there's not a lot of confidence in Vegas i just that's what i gather so let's see what happens tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow be a big test for Vegas Edmonton came in that building and beat
