The players championship on the monitors in our studio here at West Edmonton Mall. And man, you start to get the golf itch, don't you? We're about a month away from the masters. And just watching the golf, it makes you want to get out there and hit it. But it's a little chilly around our parts for the next three, four days. And hopefully things break next week. All right. Oilers and stars tonight in big D and Dallas is just on a real role right now. Maybe some people think that the stars could possibly even catch the Colorado Abilance for top spot in the Western Division Central Division standings, Western Conference Central Division. There are 90 points right now, Dallas. They've got a 901 record in their last 10, their 12-1-1, last 13. There are five points back at Colorado. And they're doing this without some of their big nuts, not in the bowl, for sure.

5:23In Miko, Ranton, in, Ratic Faxa has been out. And Ranton is going to get closer to appearing to getting back to the lineup I think than Rupé Hins. That's the third guy that's been out of the lineup. So they're doing this without three really good forwards right now. And they're playing incredibly well. So that's the situation with Dallas and the others have some injuries to think about from their own perspective after what we saw the other night in Denver, where Conor Ingraham was bowled over by Nathan McKinnon and left the game under concussion protocol and that gash on his forehead and Ty Emerson left the game after the first period took two or three halacious hits in that first period, gutted it out, but ended up not returning after the first period. And Colton Doc, he got tangled up with Josh Manson early, just a second shift of the

6:23game, tried to gut it out on the bench and then went down the tunnel and he too did not return to the lineup. It's the third and final meeting between these two teams tonight. And the last one did not go too well as the Dallas stars came in Edmonton and absolutely throttled the others eight three at Rogers Place. And this game was over quickly. It was four nothing after 20 minutes. The others got a goal early by Conor Claytonburg, first NHL goal. They thought you would think that that would have given the team a little momentum, a little spark, but it did not and it just snowballed the other way for Dallas and they went on to win that score eight three late November. But early November, the Oilers did get a point in Dallas in a shootout. They lost four three. So the way the Oilers have started to come together here, I wouldn't put it past them to come out on the winning side tonight. They seem to play well in Dallas. They've had the last two playoffs series where they've had the success against the stars.

7:28You know, I look at the Dallas game here that eight three victory similar to the nine one victory with Colorado, no, because it's sort of a anomaly every time the Oilers and Colorado would play each other, they'd be high, temple, quick, fast, pace. The games were back and forth and they were relatively close. That nine one game got out of control. It got out of hand similar to the eight three Dallas win here in later November. It got out of hand quickly and the Oilers were never in it and the Oilers goal tenders. I mean, Stu Skinner was pulled after the first period, didn't really matter who was in net because the Oilers were just terrible that night. So I think those two games against those two teams back in November, that's just sort of, you know, like an anomaly in the sense that normally these two teams play closer games. Eight three three four zero and 1440 is the text line, get him in, we'll get him on.

8:29Connor McDavid goes into this one looking for a 20 game road point scoring streak. He's got 12 goals, 23 assists. Evan Booshard, we've been talking about Booshard here in the last little while. He's on an eight game scoring streak with three goals and 12 assists. Booshard since November the first, again, 17 goals, 51 assists. We talked about this yesterday in his last 53 games and he started the season with zero points, zero points in six games. So also a note tonight, Zach Hyman will play his 700th career NHL game. We'll talk. Well, there's all morning long, just have to mention a couple of other NHL notes. One of them Montreal beat Ottawa last night, three, two. This was a massive game in the playoff picture, a four point game right now, Montreal with the win, 82 points, Ottawa stays at 73. Think if that flipplops, if that flipplops now, instead of a nine point bulge, it's a five point bulge.

9:29So Jacob Fowler was really good last night. Is he the Ken Dryden of 71 for the Montreal, Canadians are rookie that they, who know? I think they got to go with this guy and start the playoffs with them. The other goal, tenors in Montreal, yeah, let's see what the rookie can do. Let's see what the rookie can do. And in the WHO last night, the Royal Kings beat Winachee by a score of six to one. The big news though, the big news last night in Canadian baseball, man, oh man, probably the biggest game, the biggest win in Canadian baseball history on the international front with Canada beating seven to over cube, beating the cube in seven to two to advance to the quarterfinals at the World Baseball Classic for the first time ever. What a wonderful game it was. Calt Quantrell started and in the round robin part, you've, you're limited to certain

10:30pitch count at 65 for a starter and he came in and he threw five wonderful innings, ended up actually going through five exceeding that 65 pitch limit, but because he had started the batter, he ended up to be able to finish the batter and actually struck out the batter too. So I mean, Calt Quantrell, absolutely wonderful, wonderful start. Owen Casey, what can you say about him? He continues to just rip the cover off the ball. He's got a great swing. He's quick. He's, you know, he's right on the ball. The Cubs traded him to Miami in the off season. He's going to have a, I think he's going to be a big part of Miami's future here and he's been showing it at the World Baseball Classic. Honest Abe, Abraham Toro with the home run to give the Canadians a two-nothing lead. That was really cool to see. And then how about Big Maple, James Pax, then off the couch, off retirement.

11:32He, you know what, if he still wants to pitch in the majors, I think he can, not as a starter, but as a left-handed specialist reliever, he is still throwing high 90s. If some team wants to grab him as a lefty, I think he could still do the job. He saw it yesterday with his velocity, his movement, you know, he had that blunder that air earlier in the tournament that, you know, allowed a run. But I honestly, I really believe that he's still got the makeup to be a left hander coming out of the bullpen for a major league team. And the other thing here too is that Cuba was terrible. I mean, the Cuban defense was unbelievably bad. If Fidel Castro was still alive, he'd be rolling over, you know, I mean, he would be so upset the how the fundamental part of the game was for the Cuban baseball because he was a big baseball guy. And Cuban baseball back in the day was just as good as anywhere, just as good as anywhere

12:37in the world because of Fidel Castro. That's what he wanted. I mean, he was a dictator and that's what he dictated. We want good baseball. I'm just kind of kidding a little bit there. But the Cuban baseball, the fundamentals yesterday, the defense was terrible and Canada pounced on it and good on them. So in the nightcap, Italy beat Mexico 9-1. The Italians are the story of the World Baseball Classic. Vinnie Pasquantino had three home runs. It's never been done before. His interview after the game was phenomenal. And the Italians, how they are bringing everything together, they got, you have the espresso shot after a home run. They're singing opera after a win and they've won four straight. So they beat Mexico 9-1 and that how it happened in Pulae, it allows the United States to advance. It'll be Canada versus the United States tomorrow, tomorrow in the World Baseball Classic Quarter Finals. I mentioned TPSawgrass underway with the players championship.

13:40Also in the NBA last night, the Raptors lost again to New Orleans 122-111. But hey, let's welcome in the Ducodalmer for a Thursday morning. Good morning, Duke. Morning, Kevin. How's she going, big guy? Oh, it rolls along. Yeah, it rolls along. Did you watch a little of the Canada Cuba game? I did. I didn't, I had to watch the end of it after the fact that I got a, I had a skate at three o'clock down at our guile. So I went and did that and then came home and kind of picked up the game where it left. I've, I knew the result by the time I got home, but I kind of want to watch it out to its finale and then caught the Italy win over Mexico in the later slot. Obviously that one wasn't very close throughout its, throughout its contest in Canada pulled away obviously too, which is encouraging. And it's exciting. Hey, I think this may be chance at a, I don't know if many Canadians view it as redemption after, after the Olympics, because that's how I'm looking at it as a, as a proud Canadian. The Americans were so quick to, you know, say that they've taken our game from us. And now, listen, Canada's going to come into this game as massive underdogs, do not be

14:42mistaken, much more so than the Americans were at the Olympics for hockey. To your point, that's the whole difference here. So you, if, say Canada were to win tomorrow, you could say, well, we've taken, we've taken America's past time away from them. And that's so, and it's all in good, good fun, at least from our side of it, I'd like to think in some of our American friends like Frank and Greg Wiesinski and the likes. So I'm, I'm looking forward to that game tomorrow night. I'm not sure how I'm going to watch it as I'm headed to Manville for a barely tournament. But I think we have the late game, the eight o'clock draw. So if I get to Manville, if I just leave early enough, I can maybe watch it, buddy's house before we head across the street over to the ring for our opening game of the Manville Rec tourney is defending champions. But regardless, really looking forward to the rest of this tournament playing out here over the next handful of days. And I mean, the orders played the same time, I believe, six o'clock, they're playing St. Louis. Yeah, I can always watch that back. That's what I think I don't know. I'm going to probably start if I was at home, obviously, I'm going, uh, going double, double action split screen, stay off the phone and off everything.

15:44Yeah, yeah. That's what you'll do. That's easy for you. Yeah, I can do that. Yeah, yeah, you have no problem leaving your phone, essentially in the, uh, in the wall safe for four days at a time. I have no problem with that. No problem. And it's very admirable. I think a lot of people are envious of you for that. You know, it was great. After Canada at one, and I've been, you know, we had Jim Babon, you know, last year, and then he passed away and, uh, they did mention him at the end of the broadcast, like Jim. Oh, really? Yeah, they mentioned that. And I was so happy that, you know, that they were able to do that as a broadcast team. And, uh, Jim, he would be so proud of this team when we talked about it yesterday. Uh, you know, this is, again, the biggest win in Canadian baseball history on the international stage because, um, you know, they've come such a far away and like Ernie Whits, another great example because here's a guy that's spent so many years with, uh, the Toronto Blue Jays. And then, you know, settles down, has roots here. And, you know, the other two guys that I thought about yesterday were on the bench too and

16:45stubby clap and Justin Mornel, you know, Justin Mornel was there so many times as a player, never got out of the group stage, never got out of the opportunity to play in the quarter finals. And stubby clap has been, you know, he's the, he's the heart and soul, the grind or no one, like, this is a guy that had no talent, but ended up to be, you know, um, a big part of our country's program, right, you know, so I just thought it was really cool to see all of that. But for me, like, Justin Mornel, my age, I know a lot of people talk about, um, I'm Larry Walker and stuff, but that does predate me at least by a little bit at his, at his peak rate. So for me, growing up, like, Justin Mornel was the face of, of Canadian baseball and what he, uh, the success he had in the major leagues. So to get to see him, enjoy this program success, help be it now post career as, as a coach, um, still pretty cool. As you mentioned for, for some of these more unheralded guys, uh, in the big picture of baseball. Uh, coming up on the big program, uh, we are jam packed, as you could imagine, for

They've had a great rivalry as you know over the years and the playoffs, the last couple going back even to the 90s. So looking forward to another good one tonight, Sam, just the way that the dollar stars have been playing on this last little stretch, Sam, how can you explain it with the quality

21:59of players that they have on the shelf? Yeah, you know, it's a team effort, right? It's been kind of a new person every night and Juven just said the other night that it's a great thing about your team when you're asking the captain about a different young player or a different deaf guy every night when you're in your interviews, right? So they've had guys, you know, it's not just in the Jason Robertson score three or why Johnson is dominating the power play. Those things are happening as well once in a while, but it's been the Justin Ritzkowee and having an incredible line and scoring a goal or a nascent bastion. I think had three goals in five games. Colin Blackwell having an incredible game and getting Oscar Betha goal. It's been just kind of a bite committee thing down here and I think I give full credit to Glenn Goldson for the way he instilled confidence in this group because, you know, as much as Pete DeBore loves to roll four lines, they kind of come at you with a bunch of different waves. It didn't feel like every line had the same kind of confidence that they could be the

23:00ones that were out there in the key moment. And now it's like, it's Justin Ritzkowee and third line is out there for the final minute when you're up one. Great. They deserve it. They've earned it. And I think Goldson's been big on giving everyone the confidence to play in all situations because he knows not only are injuries a huge part of hockey in general, but this he has been decimated with him in the worst way in terms of who they've been hurt with at the worst time. And you just mentioned it. Hans Rand and Foxe Tyler Sagan. It's happened again at this time and while it's not the playoffs yet, you know, knock on wood. Anyone in Dallas is getting close there and he wants everyone to be ready to go. So I give him full credit for that. Well, let's start with Glenn Goldson before we get to the maybe the potential of some of those injury injured guys coming back here, Sam. I can tell you one thing that the Oilers Miss Glenn Goldson's presence on the coaching staff here, there's no denying that. And I spoke to him and I've known him a long, long time. Sam going back to Saskatchewan days like 30 some years ago.

24:03And you know, we just discussed about how the makeup of this team in Dallas was compared to when he was here. And he had some great comments about the similarity similarities and differences. But what was it about where the identity and like the stamp that he wanted to give this team, how it happened quite quickly and how it continues to sort of to morph into what they want here in Dallas and in the sense of a championship team? Yeah, you know, it's interesting because they had such a great start numbers wise. They wanted a ton of games. They were on point streets of 10 and 11 and looked on the stop a lot of the gates. They were flying up there with Sticking with Colorado who was on a just a ridiculous record. But they weren't playing great hockey. Kevin, it was more just a higher place word twice tonight or J. Cottenger had 36 saves and got away to win or you know, we got Jason Robertson who just went on one and scored a hat trick. It wasn't a game where you felt like man, this look out for this team, they're going to be great because they just weren't playing that kind of full 60 minutes.

25:06Then they went on a losing streak, lost a bunch in a row, lost I think 6 or 7 in a row, couldn't kind of get out of the gate right around that right before that Olympic break played better, a little bit dead played worse. It was really up and down and then right before the Olympic break, I think it was 6 in a row going into the Olympic break, maybe 5 I can't remember. And that was the shift that we really started to feel. And when Gunnboltson came in here, he said one degree more physical every night, that's what I'm going to want from every player and that's what you know, the words were great because anyone down here has felt that they've been missing that that element of hockey over the past, not even just peaked the board, it's probably decade. Just haven't had that little bit of extra edge where you're when you come into Dallas, you not only know you're going to play at depth, deep field team that could score goals and defend, you also knew you were going to get beat up a little bit. And that was the sense that that kind of Gunnbolts had felt coming in here. And that didn't really take hold until that time right around before the Olympic break, where the players all of a sudden started to buy in.

26:08I know they lost the game to Tampa Bay here at home. They went off, they went down like, you know, 5-1 couldn't come back. They were just mothered in the game, getting kind of pushed around on their own rink. They sat down afterwards and said, this is the type of team we want to be. I mean, that just beat us, the Florida, the Tampa, that's what we need to become. We don't need to be all like them, but we need to find a little bit of it. And since then, there's just been a little bit of an actiness. And I personally love that. I love that part about hockey. I love the getting in your face a little bit after the whistle, whether it's, you know, just a little bit of extra push when you get in there towards your own goalie, whether it's a little mouth and off, just to let a guy know, hey, you try to run, you're going to, you're going to hear about it. It's little things, but that's where I've started to see it. And they've not just beaten teams here. They just point to 13 straight 12 wins at that 13 time. The only time was a misempty matter that would have had them beating Colorado and win 13 in a row. Right. They really pushed opponents around and got in their face

27:09and kind of dominated a lot of aspects of the game. I didn't think that could take hold as quickly as it could, to be honest with you. And now it's snapping. And I work with Craig Montgomery every day at TLS. You know that what type of player he was. He went from, I don't think this team can win the playoffs this way to look out the sky's the limit. And they're going to have to go through a gauntlet in the Western conference, like always. But it's really shifted the way that everyone looked at him, including former NHL players that were pretty good at laying the hammer on people back in the day. Good stuff there, Sam. Sam Nestler from DLLS Sports and Dallas are guests on the Kevin Kerry show here on Sports 1440. So as far as the ETA goes for some of these injured players and there's some big ones you mentioned and Ratten and Faksa and Hince, what are we looking at here, Sam? Yeah, unfortunately, they're all kind of getting pushed back into the same sort of lump. So Rennen and Faksa were both injured at the Olympics, Rennen was injured. I think it was in their second to last game

28:09where the bronze medal game. The game against Canada, actually, right toward the end. He hasn't played since we just saw him skating on his own for the first time yesterday or the day before. So he's probably two to half to three weeks away. We've got guests. I'm putting them right towards the end of March to the beginning of April. I know they're not rushing it, especially if they have a guy like him. You need him. You don't need him playing last 12 games and then puts any risk at all in the playoffs when you really do need him. And then Ruppet Hince got sick when he came back from the Olympics as well. We didn't see him for a while. He was really sick. I think he had, they didn't say this, but it seemed like it was a neurovirus type of thing because that's what Miko had before the Olympics. And he lost like 12 pounds and was out for 10 days or something crazy. And Ruppet had a similar experience where he was out for a really long time. Then he comes back and he runs in the Nathan McKinnon in a corner in their game. His first game back kind of goes awkwardly as the leg kind of bends underneath him. It looked worse than what we got.

29:10So I'm going to say it's good news that it's not going to be, there's no surgery, no season ending and like that. It sounds like he'll be back probably around that same time of a few weeks from now. And then Radik Foxa injured as well. Right before the can of the game in the Olympics 14, Jeff, yeah. Hazel upper body injury was what happened to him there. And then I guess he had another injury as he got close to getting back from that upper body injury just while rehabbing. It didn't tell us what it was. It was some some freak accident because he was only out there, you know, an optional skates and warning skates and things like that. He didn't play any games or doing anything crazy. So must have been some sort of freak thing that happened to him now all the sudden. He's back on that same timeline. I see him riding around on a scooter with a boot on. So his upper body has now shifted to a lower body injury. So it's like the crew they asked over here when he had Tyler's taken to it that drops around in a press box during games. Good crew to talk to you, but definitely prefer to see him on the ice.

30:11Yeah, no kidding. Sam Nestler with us on sports 1440. Let's talk about the deadline acquisition starting with Tyler Myers. And with Myers and Leon Bischel, that has to be the biggest third pairing, defense pairing in the history of the NHL. No, or what are we looking at here? Well, you know what, we haven't been able to nail that like out, but I think everything we've found suggests that that's the case. Cause I mean, I don't know, I think Char, well, it was Char 6'9, he hit the 6'9 mark. So he'd have to have a 6'7 or 6'8 guy with him in order to break that. That's pretty much all we're looking at here. Yeah. Cause I would, I say Tyler Myers might even be bigger than 6'8. Either he's bigger than 6'8 or Bischel's small, little smaller than 6'7. Because Tyler Myers is much bigger than him when you're standing next to the two of them. Yeah. Yeah, it's interesting with Myers, because I personally thought that he was coming here to at least get a shot with Thomas Harley, right? They're missing, they've kind of been missing that actual real top four defender to play with them. They got S.A. Lindell, Marrow, H.K. and Thomas Harley to a clear top three.

31:13They kind of rotated in with Solution, Longquist, Petrovic with on-site Harley. And there's been some, some things that have worked, but then Nils Longquist got hurt. And the Lucian struggle, then Petrovic all the sudden struggle. So they, that's what I thought they were looking for. And they just didn't have the assets to go get the Razzus Anderson's or the Justin Falks and those bigger type of names with money and contract left. So I think that Tyler Myers was the perfect one to just say, look, he's probably not, he might not be the answer there. Right, he might, he might not fit there. He might, not be a top four guy on a really good playoff team. He might be more of a bottom five, six guy, but he could fit there. And I think that's what Jim no kind of went after with both of these deadline acquisitions is, let's go get a guy that could fit there. Just in case Longquist struggles in the playoffs, just in case LaBotion gets hurt. Just in case someone doesn't fit properly in that spot. And then all of a sudden, how they have nine defense in guys. Nine defense in on their roster, right now, that they could use and that they're comfortable with too, not just like a no offense to Matt Dunba,

32:15but you know, piece of war wasn't used to Matt Dunba last year. He was just a roster guy, whereas this one, they've all played games all year long. And I think he trusts any of them to be in their top six come playoff time. So I think that Myers gives you that depth even to another level of a veteran guy. Obviously he's smart to play again. He takes up half the ring just to stick. I think that's the way they kind of looked at it was. We would love to go out and get a true, you know, top four gonna play here all the time and love to extend them so we have our answer. But they didn't have the money. They didn't have the assets and they just went out and they got the next best thing they said have gotten and really didn't give up a whole lot. So I think it was really good work to get. So where does Michael Bunting slide in here and slot in here? I'm sure his role will change once, once pardon me, a few of these players come back from injury. Yeah, he's he's similar because he's played a little bit up the lineup in his history and he's not a he's not a score, right? But he's not a 10 goal guy or eight goal guy either. He scored 20 is for sort of, he's for 24 23 with Toronto,

33:17one of his seasons with them. He's able to put, you know, he's, I think you're comfortable saying he's a 15 to 20 goal score. And that gives you a little bump up from the guys like, Pam Steele, Justin Ritzkovian, all the guys I just mentioned who have played up the lineup and done well up the lineup that are maybe more on the 10 goal maximum chart. And Steele or his coven, all those guys, they've actually been great. And I think Steele's on pace for like 15 goals. So it's amazing. But it just gives you that little extra depth, just like Myers, where if you feel like that guy's not able to, you know, finish a play from Ranton consistently enough, maybe bunting can be the one who does it or may, or then all of a sudden maybe Ritzkovian can do it. And bunting really looks good on your third line. It just gives you a little extra level of depth. And then I go back to what I just said about the way they're trying to play the game. And if you don't know about Michael Bunting, just Google his name. The first video that comes up is him getting shoved out of an arena by a lineman because he's gnawing off too much.

34:17That's Michael Bunting. And he will stay there after the whistle. He will get in your face. And I already saw it in his first game. He was all over the place and he goes there in Chicago on Sunday, getting in people's faces, throwing a couple of slashes at the shins. He's got that to his game as well. So I think it upgrades both sides because you're a little more depth and scoring and it gives you a little bit more of what you're looking for, complete offense. So maybe you can push around a few advantage dollars this time. We'll see what happens. Sam Nestler from the LLL Sports, our guest on the Kevin Kerri Show here on Sports 1440. I can guarantee you Glenn Gulletson would say if he was asked this question about Miro Heiskenin that he never gets mentioned at all when you talk about the Norris Trophy. But this guy has been really good for a long time. I sort of pencil him in in that Rasmus Dalin area because with McCarr and Hughes and everyone else and Werenzky that get all the headlines. These are the guys that play so hard and are so important to their team's success every night.

35:20What have you seen from Heiskenin this year? Is he just that same quality player that is so consistent that you've seen for what, seven, eight years now in Dallas? Yeah, it's just what you expect, right? It feels bad because we don't even talk about him enough because he's not the McCarr that you're wow, do you see that goal or can you see that incredible odd band rush where he made those three passes? It's just, it's most of the stuff he can do that. Let me be fair about that. He can make those plays. He scored the overtime winner the other day in Chicago, but he's not consistently the opposite guy. And actually this year he was on pace early on, people thought he finally is gonna be in the conversation because he actually was somewhat near the top of the pace of points when they really needed the points of an intervention. But that's kind of dropped off here. He's not the hundred point guy. He's, I think he's, I can't remember his exact top year. I think it was 70, something points in a couple of years ago. Yeah, so a couple of years ago, so and that was a huge offense a year. So I don't expect that to happen,

36:21you know, more than maybe one more time throughout his career. But he just does everything right. And I don't know, I don't know if I've seen a better skater in terms of just consistent blow skating. Like you have to make David than the McKinnons that are the fast powerful skaters that no one can keep up with. But Miro just looks like he's floating out there. And I bring up my David because for me, when I first started watching Miro, he had the best entry into the NHL because Dallas was not as good at Edmonton, right? Edmonton had way more skill. They were, they were a good team, but they didn't have the same amount of skill. They just put, he hated an economic David. This is probably 2020, 2021 area. They just put him on McDavid and said, he's not getting the puck. And that's all they did. They went four and four. And it was hilarious to watch because you're thinking, this is like middle school puck where you're saying, hey, that guy can't get the shot. They'll let them get it. We'll figure it out over here. But that's really how they did it. And he kept up with him. I mean, David, if you look at McDavid, that's against the star of the early spirit. He didn't have much at all. And that's just a token to how Miro is so smooth,

37:25so good on his edges, so able to just conserve energy that he can play with those type of guys and then play 28, 30 minutes a night. I mean, the guy, the guy played 28 minutes a night for Dallas, then he goes and plays 30 for gaming for Finland, the most of the entire tournament. And then he comes back and doesn't miss a beat. And looks at the same guy. So it's just been unbelievable to watch him. And it's rubbing off a little bit. Thomas Farley starts to kind of see where, because I think Esselandell and Miro Hayes can have really good at conserving energy. If you watch them, Esselandell stays out there for the full two minutes of penalty kills for Dallas. But he doesn't look tired because he's not wasting any energy or movements in the play. And I think Harley can learn off of that a little bit where he can take some of that away from his energy so that he has a little more when he needs to have that final burst to make a defensive play at the end of a shift or things like that. And that all starts with Miro. So I think personally, I think there should be a defensive defensive award because I believe he'd be right up there. Esselandell will be up there. But it's just not the way it works nowadays.

38:25How's Harley look Sam since coming back from the Olympics where he was a big part of that Canadian defense? You know what, totally different guy. Wow. And it's just crazy to me what he does after these tournaments. I mean, last year, the good news last year was he was already playing well but he took over from Miro because Miro got hurt. I think it was mid-January when Mark Stone kind of took out his light there and hurt his knee. So Harley was already thrusted to the big, I'm the big man on campus. I have to play the big minutes on the number one power play guy and he took it and ran with it and then he was great at foreignations and relief and then he was great on the stretch. This year he wasn't great to start. He really just looked kind of a little bit lost and he had a contract up and he finally, he finally signed a big extension in the fall. Then he had the Olympics way in over him. It just felt like that was all laying down at shoulders and it's such a cliche to say but it really looked like he was thinking too much. It just looked like he was trying to make that play that he doesn't normally make or trying to maybe cover for those partners

39:26that I was just talking about that maybe he didn't believe in them. And so he comes across the ice a little too much to cover for them and all of a sudden his backside is open for a two on one or whatever the play might be. Since the Olympic breaks, a totally different guy, totally different guy. Looks confident, looks calm, making a bunch of plays in the puck. They've really pushed the weak side defense and after this Olympic break to activate more and try to get more from that off side and he's been a big part of it. This was been a big part of it. So I don't know if it's just he needs to go play with the best. If that's the case, they need to ship him somewhere at the beginning of every year to go play some camp in September or something because they need to just start that way but it's been really cool to see that it's not just a duck just passing off the season and saying this isn't gonna be a good one from Harley. He's really turned it around and that's been huge for this team when they needed it. Wow. Hey Sam, excellent stuff. Really appreciate you coming on. Evan Bouchard leads at 75 and those again, when I was talking about Rasmus Dalyne and Heiskenin and even a guy like Darren Raddish is having a terrific year in Tampa Bay, you know, it always seems to come back to where Rensky, McCarr and Hughes all the time. And Bouchard's name doesn't get thrown out there. Heiskenin's name doesn't get thrown out there, but we're gonna see again, two of the very best defensemen will see how they perform and they're not playing against each other, but it's almost like when we talked about the other night and again, McCarr versus Bouchard, Evan Bouchard was way better, way better than Kale McCarr on Tuesday night. It's somewhere, but I've done something to my shoulder. And I've never really had shoulder pain problems or anything. I know a couple of my buddies have had rotator cuff things. They, they separate them all the time, whatever. I've never had that, but this, it's a lot of soreness. And I'm, grow a little concern that all of a sudden new pains are sort of the crop up in my bodies rather than. Yeah, it's just arthritis. Rather than the old regulars that I've come to know and love down in my knees and hamstrings. Maybe it's just arthritis setting in. I hope not. Well, Duke, I've followed time undefeated, Kev. All I can say is wait for another three years. It only gets worse, but think about it, Kev, with modern advancements in science and medicine. You're not the bionic man here. They can do, they can fix me. They can make me better.

49:35They're not the bionic man. Stronger. Faster. Yeah. That was the original plan when they rebuilt my ACL the first time. I'm on it. And I was, I was looking fast out there. It's better than ever. You, you're like, you're, you're way too young to even use that phrase from the bionic man. You know what, you don't even know what I'm talking about. I know what the bionic man is. Okay. And like, are you saying I'm too young as in like my body shouldn't be at the stage of bleeding repaired or like that reference predates me because reference is predating me has never stopped you before. So I don't know why it would need to be applied here. Do you know who was in charge of the $6 million man? Like in a literal sense or in a fictitious sense? In the fictitious. In, in, in the series in the television. No, I can't say I do. Oscar Goldman. Okay. Was that like the evil scientists that he had good intentions and then things go awry?

50:40I think he almost was the finance here. You know, maybe he put a goal. Maybe he put up the dough and that. But think about it. That type of plot line does seem to usually go in a negative route. Like the guy that wants to whether it be through his science or like you said, financial endeavors better the world, but then things something always goes wrong. And then it ends up being the enemy, the main antagonist of whatever story we're talking about in film, TV or literature. So yeah, I know where you're coming from that in that sense. When you saw the beginning of the $6 million man, you could see the arm look like the, I don't know what you call that, that cyborg from Terminator 2. Yeah. That's what it looked like. You know who the $6 million woman was? I do, but also like then I don't have the name on top of my head, but I'm once, it's nothing I'm familiar with.

51:41It's not totally lost on me that that exists or anything. Lindsey Wagner. Okay. Was the, and so both of them had both their legs were bionic. One had one arm each. The other one had the eyesight. He was the eyesight and she was hearing. So she could hear anything like hundreds and hundreds of meters away. And that's how that was. So was the bionic woman a sequel to the $6 million man or was it like a remake where there was no reference to the previous iteration? I don't remember quite, but I know that there were some episodes I think where they were together. Okay. So then yeah, that would be, they existed in the same universe. Let me throw another one at you, Duke, that this is a, there was one wrestler, a wrestler, one of the most famous wrestlers of all time that had a cameo. Macho man, Randy Savage. In the $6 million man. Wasn't it the big guy? It was Andre the giant. Yeah.

52:42Yeah. He was the, the Sasquatch. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man. Ranting Rob. How did Canada win over Cuba? Was the answer blowing in the wind? What am I missing there, dude? It must be some sort of reference or punchline that I don't think either of us are quite finding. Mm-hmm. Nail says to you, Duke, Brandon, when you're hurt, it lets you know that you're alive.
