The Impossible Murder on a Train - Laetitia Toureaux
About this episode
On May 16, 1937, Laetitia Toureaux boarded an empty first class carriage on the Paris Métro and, less than ninety seconds later, was found with a knife buried deep in her neck.
No one had seen her killer enter or escape that train car. The attacker seemed to simply vanished in an impossible murder scenario.
But wondering why she was killed, police dug into Laetitia's life, and they discovered that the quiet factory worker had another side to her, one involving secret surveillance, informants, and some of the most dangerous political circles in France.
What began as an impossible murder on a moving train soon became a mystery tangled in espionage, hidden weapons, and the possibility that Laetitia had learned something powerful people wanted kept secret. Yet still to this day, the question of how Laetitia was killed on that train, is still debated.
