The Hex Hollow Murder - Nelson Rehmeyer

About this episode

In 1928, farmer and folk healer Nelson Rehmeyer lived alone in a secluded Pennsylvania hollow where old traditions of powwow, spells and supernatural protection remained deeply rooted in the community.
When John Blymire became convinced that years of illness, tragedy and terrible luck were the result of a hex, an elderly practitioner pointed him toward an unlikely culprit: Nelson himself.
Determined to break the supposed curse, John recruited two teenagers and entered Nelson’s farmhouse searching for a lock of his hair and a powerful book of folk magic. What followed was a brutal killing, an attempt to burn away the evidence, and a sensational murder case that would forever transform Rehmeyer’s Hollow into Hex Hollow.
