The Foundation of Core Values | ReWire 1911

About this episode

If you don't something to stand on, you stand on nothing in both life and business.

One thing I can tell you is I've started a lot of businesses that are still in operation today, but things didn't really come together until I met 1stPhorm founder and CEO , Andy Frisella.

I had the opportunity to tour his facility and I noticed he had his core values plastered where everyone could see them.

This was a game-changer for me when I saw it and decided to implement them in my companies.

My personal core values are the acronym R.I.S.E.

Responsibility:  We make no excuses

Integrity:  We do what we say we're going to do when we say we're going to do it

Service: We go above and beyond

Excellence:  We do the work

Everyone in our company and our clients follow these simple core values.

They've been a game changer in people personally develop themselves as well as grow their businesses.

Once I implemented these into my business, we began to flourish at an exponential rate.

I suggest you adopt these or create your own and watch the magic happen.

Welcome to the rewire podcast. I'm your host Ryan Stoeman and I'm here to rewire your mind for success You were put on this planet for success. You were created to succeed But the force of average is after you every single day my brothers and sisters and this podcast is the one thing This designed to help you fight the force of average and excel in every area of your life. We're glad that you're here I had an event at my office It wasn't my event somebody we rent our space here so somebody threw an event here And they asked me if I would speak at it and it's part of the contract I agreed to come down and and speak So I go down stage and I speak at this event and nobody knows who I am which is awesome That's my favorite type of event to speak at because if nobody knows me I get a bunch of new friends, right? So I go down there and I speak and I ask them about core values and none of them had an Understanding of them they were all business owners But none of them had a true understanding and I resonated with that because I'd heard the term core values My whole life you need to have them. We had them in like seventh grade football and then you need to have them in the workforce and there

There was those motivational posters in my old mortgage office with a drip and it was like motivation because you need it Which is hilarious because if you go to the kitchen here in my office it says motivation And then it says if at first you don't succeed skydiving is not for you, right? That's how we're rolling here by the way But I say this because in 2018 I met a man named Andy forcella absolutely changed my life And he taught a group of us in his RTA program about core values and sometimes somebody can say the right combination of words It'll unlock a closed mind and Andy did that for me that day and I came back I designed some core values for my corporation I started governing not only my company, but my life my kids my marriage my employment everything by these four simple core values And guess what the value of everything I had went up when I decided what it was that I truly value four things Responsibility integrity service and excellence when I decided that I value those four things And I put the most value in those four things in my life In every area of my life I run those four things my life became more valuable Not just made more money financially my relationships became more valuable

My employees became more valuable my children became more valuable my marriage became more valuable Why because I understood what I valued and then I leaned in and made those values more valuable So if you're wanting to make a huge change in your business in your life you need to develop core values But here's how you develop core values. This is what I learned from Andy I never take credit for something that's not an original thought. This is I learned from Andy You have to figure out what it is you truly value see a lot of times people will make up shit If you don't value integrity then don't make it your core value If you don't value excellence, which means we do the work If you don't value working hard in personal excellence Don't say it because it sounds good because when you're trying to teach it to your people It will come off inauthentic and they won't value it either If you value making money make that a fucking core value If you value being physically fit make that a core value Whatever it is there's no wrong answer And it's not the feel good core values that matter It's deciding what you value then leaning in and making those things more valuable That will actually make the core values work for you So discover what it is that you actually value

Own that shit and get others around you Find others around you who value the same thing become unstoppable
