The Fog of War - 04MAR26

About this episode

On tonight’s livestream we take a closer look at the “Fog of War” surrounding Operation Epic Thunder and the wave of viral footage spreading across social media.

Over the past several days, dramatic videos claiming to show combat operations have been circulating online. Some appear to be AI-generated, others look suspiciously like video game footage, and many are being shared without any clear source or verification.

Tonight we’ll sort through some of the most widely shared clips and images, including:

• Videos claiming to show combat footage that may actually be AI-generated or pulled from video games

• Viral clips circulating across social media without credible sourcing

• Propaganda videos and imagery being released by the Iranian regime

• How misinformation spreads during fast-moving conflicts

We’ll take a closer look at what’s likely real, what’s questionable, and what’s clearly misleading — all from an aviation perspective.

As always, expect a relaxed conversation, some viewer interaction, and probably a few memes along the way as we try to cut through some of the noise.

Join us live.

Oh, that's right. Bring back the F 15 demo. Yes. weren't sure. Yeah. Dude, I love these new songs. There's so much fun. Anyway, hey, everybody, welcome to the live stream tonight. You notice by the title, of course, um, we're going to go over some stuff here. It's called the fog of war and, you know, it's so hard to know what's real, what's not, um, unverified, possibly real, what's AI, what's from a freaking video game. That's going to be a fun one day because it's, yeah, it is. All right, no more screwing around. We're going to start. Welcome to the ramp-check aviation live stream. The fog of war. I mean, is it technically a war? It's still an operation, right? Yeah. I mean, I don't

know. Anyway, well, carried out by the definitely looks like a war. I know. All right. Yeah. Hey, want to thank everybody who's joining us tonight, especially if you're joining us for the very first time. Welcome to the live stream. I apologize ahead of time. Uh, just kidding. Paul says for what? Nothing. Yeah. Exactly. Uh, everybody on X who's watching tonight, also YouTube, Facebook, rumble, we appreciate it. Uh, don't forget it's a live stream every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday night, 7 30 p.m. mountain time. Right here. So all right. Should we get started? Great intro, brother. Just like your radio days in the past. Right. Well done. I know. Well, I was always told I have a face for radio. I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not. Yeah. That's not exactly. I'm just kidding. Okay. That's just kidding. That's what I figured. So a lot of official information, a lot of disinformation. Oh my god. A lot of propaganda from,

you know, who you would expect. Um, but anyway, let's, let's just dive into it. So right now, we're going to start off with some information from Oson Defender. On Monday, a Katari F 15 QA, shot down a pair of Iranian SU 24's that were detected crossing that that Persian Gulf, the Persian Gulf, at low altitude in the direction of Qatar with officials telling CNN another very credible news source that the SU 24's came within two minutes of launching strikes on US air forces at, uh, Al, you did air base. So hopefully the Qatar is will put out a, a statement confirming that because yeah, I'm not really a huge CNN believer. Yeah. Right. Hopefully. Cool looking. Yep. Right. Yeah. So that would be the first couple air air kills of the next generation F 15 because the F 15 essays and the QA, well, there's, there's so many

advanced variants now because, you know, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, US Air Force, the F 15 EX. It's all the advanced eagle now. And so that's what being manufactured. Yeah. I mean, it would be the first one of that variant. And it, here's the other thing, you know, we, you said, you said that, uh, you know, we want to wait maybe in C and see if it's confirmed by the official government. But how many official government sources do we actually believe? You know, it's, it's, it's tough to say. I mean, now we have sources that we can get some of our videos from that are from official Department of Defense videos. And, right. And, yeah. You know, information, images, whatever. So I guess, I don't know, during the fog of war, you kind of take everything with a grain of salt until you can actually get some kind of confirmation. Yeah. Well, just like the Kuwaiti Air Force Hornet F 18, right, shooting down the three.

I mean, when you're shooting three aircraft out of the sky, it's, it's almost kind of like, and it is, I mean, it's suspicious. I don't know. So, yeah. Well, you kind of have to, I mean, go with what we have all had to do the last five years, six years, especially since 2020, and just give everything like the 24 to 48 hour rule. Yeah. Yeah. Rather than just be like, oh, that happened and then move on. Like, yeah, just wait, right, wait a little bit, maybe get some more sources reporting and then, you know, make it. So we're, we're, we're starting tonight with official videos. And, dude, I love this one. This is badass. Check this out. This is from the, the British Ministry or UK or Britain or England or whatever, their Ministry of Defense. So no audit. Look at that kill. Drone, obviously. Yep. So I read that this kill was from

an F 35B that they have. So according to, uh, Ocent Defender again. And, you know what, we're getting a lot of our sources from X tonight because, yeah, it's going to be next day, Wednesday, right? It is. So welcome to X Day Wednesday. It's because this is where you're getting basically the most up-to-date information and on the flip side misinformation and propaganda. So, yeah. Anyway, an F 35 Lightning F 35B Lightning 2 with the Royal Air Force managed to shoot down an Iranian one-way attack drone during defensive operations recently over Jordan. In the first ever operational air to air kill reported or recorded by a British F 35, according to a statement, and footage published by the UK Ministry. So, yeah. All right. There's, there's another official one for you. Now, we can kind of move into the propaganda side. War would not be war without

propaganda, right? Right. And misinformation and misinformation. So by the way, uh, let us know where you're watching tonight in the chat if you're joining us for the first time. If you're, you know, one of the regulars, uh, please be sure to say hi and let us know where you're watching from tonight. So this next post, uh, this comes from, let's see here, uh, I'm not going to translate that. So, at, at sabotech.tr. There you go. Hey, anyway, the US Central Command is confirmed that in the attack on March 2nd, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran had its newly commissioned drone and helicopter carrier, uh, the iris, uh, Shaheed Bahiri sunk. So, here's before. Well, wow, look at that power. I mean, they look so badass and then when they take off,

it looks like a mini RC plane. Well, there it is. I mean, good roast, a good wini with that exhaust. I mean, it's cool because it's, right? An aircraft, but I mean, it looks like a Boeing X36. You remember that? The little subscale fighter X. Now, I'm not, I'm not downplaying the fact that this thing probably packs a hell of a punch. And these things are very deadly, but I mean, they look like freaking toys to me. Well, they, yeah, I mean, they basically are, yeah, they're deadly toys. I mean, look, it looks similar to a GoPro on their little straight RC plane, but I don't know, man. I mean, yeah. Now, here's another, uh, video, let me pause that one. So, we're not listening to it anymore. Uh, here's another one really quick. Now, this is, um, from big fish at big fish 3000 on X Iranian, Iris, Shelly, Behiri, Carrier outperforming all expectations. Turns out it can stay, stay

at sea much longer. The bottom of the sea. Hey, there's that. Yeah, I don't know if I would start a defense video with a gyro copter flying by. How old is that jet ranger? Is a little jet ranger? That's probably an original one from before the you know, you almost kind of feel a little bad, right? You know, yeah, it's tough. Yeah, so here is apparently, now this is from the Department of War, so this is official footage. Right. It does not say specifically which, um, uh, naval vessel from the, uh, Iranians. This is a badass video. Yeah, this is pretty badass. Check this out. So it's already on fire. That doesn't look like the aircraft carrier, does it? Oh,

no, it's not. Yeah, that's a torpedo strike. Yep. I was going to say I read it. This is the first torpedo thinking of a ship since World War II from a US vessel from a US vessel. Yes, definitely. And all the anti-American posters on X are just like, um, the submarine didn't stop to pick up survivors and the Geneva Convention says that you have to. And it was, it was in Sri Lanka and in international waters, Sri Lanka and all this stuff. So I mean, I don't know. What do you do? It's never been our position here where we like, um, celebrate any sort of loss of life or that like, obviously not, but this is a war and an operation that's taking place and things are going to happen, but it's not like we celebrated, but it's a badass explosion. Yeah. Well, the goal from day one, not only did, did, you know,

Department of War say it's about, and even President Trump, I believe said too, is, you know, to obliterate their Navy, um, you know, their missile production capacity, make sure that their nuclear facilities, they can't develop a bomb. Right. I mean, governments have been saying that Iran, you know, has been two to four weeks from developing a nuclear weapon for like 10 years. Right. You don't really know what to believe on that front, but I do know if they did have a capability, I guarantee they would use it. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. And from what I understand, we got rid of their capability last year with Midnight Hammer. And, and I say from what I understand, it means watching some of the press conferences from the actual Secretary of War and, and, and, and President Trump himself, he said, they were told, okay, we took care of it. You are not to try it again. And sources say that they were trying to do it again. So, well, the negotiations were, what was it? Yeah. Geneva, Switzerland.

And, and, uh, time and time again, the Iranian delegation kept, you know, going back on promises and they thought that they were getting close to a deal. And then they would totally retract. And so I, I don't know. I don't know. I, I do know that nobody in the reach, I mean, Iran was a destabilization monster in that part of the world. Absolutely. And so I, I don't know. So we're going to show, we're going to show a lot more, uh, several more videos to just kind of summarize everything that, uh, um, that's in from misinformation out there. So I've got another one here, um, that I'll show, uh, this is, uh, from at Cernosat. The U.S. has been bombing drawings of F-14's this entire time, LOL. The Iranians put their jets underground before the war even began.

Trump thought he destroyed the entire Iranian Air Force. It's literally a drawing. I can't believe it. So, okay, it looks like a drawing. I'm the wrong one. Yeah. So it looks like a drawing now. Um, of course, you know, I love the, uh, the community notes. Yeah. So this says, stay the day a de june. Okay. I'm going to say the English version here. Um, guessing that means this video is bullshit. Yep. I had it translated actually by, uh, chat GPT. And it says, uh, let's see, right here, this video is from June 2025 and is being treated as if it were current. Yeah. And that's the other thing too, is people will upload all kinds of, you know, past footage from war, you know, trying to pass it off as a current. I don't know. It's just, you know, clickbait. People trying to get, you know, likes and follows. And it's like,

you know, just keep it straight. Keep it on the current situation. And, and that's why I work careful about reposting things and commenting on things because we don't, you know, we don't want to be that account. Yes. We don't exactly. Okay. Here's one of my favorites. You ready for this one? Go. I'm ready. Okay. So the post actually I'm going to say the post first. Sorry. So the post Iranian media decided to showcase their success against the US and included scenes of a Soyuz missile hitting the battleship Yamato. The problem is Soyuz is the space carrier. And the Yamato sank in April of 1945. So you made a Yamato. It was a nice mix. Brother. So, so here's that video. I mean, there's people that believe this stuff. Yeah. One was it. Oh, man. You know, I will admit though, there are some that look pretty real.

Yeah. Not that one. But not that one. Yeah. Yeah. The Soyuz rocket is what's, you know, meant for space. And then, you know, it's, it's not the battleship. You know, it's the battleship. See, even the debunker was debunked. Yeah. Yeah. And but not the space battleship. Yamato. All these different. I don't know. It's just. Oh, wow. Look at that one. Or is this too? Wow. Oops. Oh. Wow. Oh, go. You know, so many people will watch this and be like, Oh, my gosh, I can't believe that's real. And I can't. So, so it's kind of the moral of our our live stream tonight. Just be careful. What you see and believe. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's that's definitely what it is. That's why, you know, the fog of war is real. There's there's propaganda that, you know, comes and buttons. In fact, speaking of propaganda, I've got the latest propaganda video from the

Iranian military that their, this footage, they're, they're claiming that they shot down and destroyed the, the space station, the USS Death Star. Check this out. Oh, my god. Yeah, you're all working. I mean, what are they? What will they resort to next? Death Star is gone. I can't believe you just broadcast that. That's embarrassing. No, that's hilarious. Oh, my god. Oh, boy. Anyway. So, Aaron, do you have one you want to show?

And by the way, a good follow on X is combat their jet because he's, he's really pointing out a lot of this stuff. So, yeah. But anyway, yeah. Okay, here we go. This is the best one. Look at that. I guess that's the F B 35 D model or something. Yeah. I mean, look at that thing. No, that's not the D model. That's the double D model. Geez, man. Yeah. I might be an E. That's a solid E. Wow. But I mean, that's really big. Well, I mean, I did a horrible job of recreating what an F 35s was to look like. And now look at that wing. Yeah. Well, look at this. Look at the whole thing. Right. Well, the whole thing. But yeah, the wings, what caught my eye and this, this was published by Iranian state media. What was this? Was this also June of 25? Was this last year? What's funny is this account here at V O I UNDR, I don't know, in the steven serifs.

But anyway, yeah, that's start the clock. They'll probably repost this jam of a picture and claim this shot down to 35 again. Very true. Because I think I think this actually came out last June when, you know, the Israelis were bombing their air defenses. Right. I mean, geez, if I were Iranian and I saw that and thought the F 35 was that big, I'd be kind of shit in my pants. Yeah, I know. Look at that. Well, that's the thing. You get the state media to put out stuff like this. And there's a lot of people where they've just, you know, I mean, you know, Iran's been, you know, cutting off internet to people. They've been, I mean, for decades, they've been controlling their population. So, I mean, it's just probably like North Korea in a lot of ways, where I'm sure there's a lot of people that would just be completely surprised at what, when they find out what's real and what's really going on in the world versus what they're told. And yeah, wow, unbelievable. Yeah.

So I'm going to scroll down here real quick. There's another propaganda. Let's see here. Where is it? Sorry. I lost track of where I was at. There's some cool posts here. But anyway, so there's that video. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You were doing earlier. But well, damn it. I lost track of where I was at while you're looking at it. Let me, I'll put another video up. Yeah. Yeah. Do do that. And I'll find it real quick. Okay. So this post that I'm going to show here is coming from the underscore real underscore fly at the real fly. And this, this is posted on February 28th. And he simply says, it's safe. Check this out. Oh my god. That's scary. Wait. Yeah. Insane if you believe it. How many? Things see dropping there. Look at that maneuver. Wow. Okay. Chasing, chasing, chasing. Oh,

here we go. Here we go. What's that? A UFO? I'm not sure what the circle is. Well, what's funny is a surface to air missile. It like, okay, an F18 isn't fast enough to outrun a surface. Yeah. Right. And besides surface to air missiles, they typically have a warhead on it that'll explode just in the vicinity. In the vicinity? Yeah. It'll sense. I mean, we've seen movies where it's kind of depicted that. But they have a proximity fuse. Right. And like that F18 would have been destroyed like probably 10 minutes ago. Yeah, within that one real. Yeah. Exactly. And so by the way, combat legit, more video game footage. Yeah. Well, and it's a terrible video game too because surface to air missiles are not that slow. This video is fake footage from the game digital combat simulator. You can tell by the sound,

the zoom at the beginning, which is typical for videos of this type and by the flares being deployed, which look the same in both the video and gameplay footage. If you want to go to this post, follow combat legit at combat underscore legit on X. And then he's got, we're not going to show all these videos, but he's these are all claiming to be video or real wartime footage. And it's just awful. And it's just the sloppiness itself is so bad. Well, if that's actually a combat flight simulator, that that is way off. I mean, surface to air missiles there. I mean, they're, you know, mock two plus typically three plus. I mean, there's, you know, and an F 18 turning like that, climbing like that. I mean, he is going to just bleed off so much air, air speed in the long hours. Yeah. Anyway, yeah. So, okay, I found the one that I want to show you. Oh, yeah,

let me just show this one too. That's too funny. Read the, read the contact or read the post. Yeah. So this is from at Ukraine underscore maps as Iran, Iran has launched a Soyuz rocket and destroyed a naval destroyer, which we've already seen. The US has destroyed 17 Iranian naval warships in one submarine while Iran has destroyed 40 AI warships to AI aircraft carriers and conducted the most successful AI air strike of the world. So here's your view on the turn this off. Actually, I mean, look at the plane stayed intact and flew. Yeah. That's a new way to launch them off that carrier. I know. What are they rubber airplanes? I mean, come on. What, what's going on here? So was that on Chinese television? I don't know. Was that supposed to be real? And look at these bombs how slow, how slow they're falling. And there's people that believe,

there's people that believe this. It's, it's the new glider delayed impact bomb. Look at the water when it gets closer down to the ship. Look at the water down at the bottom. Yeah, that's, yeah, and a deck that's like completely empty too. What is that delivery? Is that a delivery cruise? And the size. Yeah, okay. So let's watch this. I mean, look at that. That looks real, but it's actually looks real. Yeah, I mean, that one looks more credible than any of the other ones you've seen, but it's, it's not though. I mean, I don't know. It's just wild. It's just, yeah, and a little, you know, I can't believe this. I can't believe it. That's not what I'm going to be saying. If missiles are raining down like that, you know, I'm not going to be like, oh my gosh, I can't believe this. I'm

going to be like, I know. It's by the way, the chat is being unusually quiet tonight. I don't know if there's an issue with chat. I wonder if there's something wrong with chat tonight. Yeah, if you guys are watching on YouTube or X, please just at least say hi so we know the chat's working. And yeah, that way, that's weird. I know, I know you said there was, there was a few changes to our platform where we streamed from. I wonder if there was something in the settings that was done because yeah, it's, I mean, I don't see in anything. Yeah. So maybe send us a chat from whatever platform you're watching on just so we know. So this one has got to be my favorite one. And we'll wrap things up here in about five minutes or so. Let's see. What's that? Oh, you want to take that one? Okay, I want you to read this one. Okay. So here we go. Sorry. That's okay. This is coming from

a gene Robinson at Ale Buffalo tonight. Okay. Breaking question for America. Have we already seen the SR 72 dark star in combat and didn't even know it? Think about the timing. Hypersonic weapons are now being used. Air defenses are being overwhelmed. Targets are being struck with speed and precision precision that looks almost unreal. And yet the most advanced reconnaissance strike aircraft ever designed. The SR 72 dark star is supposedly still in development. Okay, can we stop here? Is it the dark star from top gun Maverick? Yeah, it's not, it's not called the SR 70. No, it's exactly. Okay. So remember everybody's innovation expert. So go ahead. Right. Officially, here is what we actually know as of March 2026. Lockheed Martin's SR 72 program is still publicly listed as being in the design and development phase. There have been rumors of a

demonstrator flight somewhere between 2025 and 2026. But nothing has been confirmed. Nothing has been revealed. And no official aircraft has ever been shown. That's because it's not real. Which raises the obvious question. Go ahead and keep waiting. What if it already exists? Remember the SR 71 Blackbird? Yes, I do. It flew secret missions for years before the public ever knew it existed. So did the F 117. Mach 3 titanium airframe untouchable by enemy defenses for decades. Now imagine the next generation, hypersonic, moxics capability, autonomous strike capability, global reach and under an hour. Would the United States announce that to the world or would it quietly fly fly in combat first? Right now videos are circulating online claiming secret aircraft sightings. Most of them are nonsense. Top Gun Maverick mock ups, video game footage, AI generated clips like this one.

But the real question remains, is the SR if the SR 72 dark star has already flown, would we even know a question mark? There you go. That's what we got to say. So I was just going to say, so the the rumors and discussion about SR 72 are actually real. Okay, Lockheed Martin has acknowledged that they are working on a new platform that's SR 71 type of an aircraft for commissons. We don't know if it's manned or if it's unmanned. And so what he's saying there is true, but he's calling it dark star. I mean, that's obviously movie stuff. And then he gives some cases, you know, like SR 71 and Tony, you mentioned F 117, flew for years. Sure. You know, before it was ever like officially revealed. And that's all true.

And that does happen. But, you know, it's, I don't know, it's a little outlandish in this case. But I mean, we have to we do have to remember that the Department of War did put out a list of, you know, dot, dot, dot, you know, technology and whatever we can't discuss. I don't know what said exactly. Yeah, I mean, I guess it's possible. You never know. When he talks about precision and striking and the, I mean, all the aircraft they're using can do that, meaning the precision strikes, the my capability is stealth. Like, so to me, it's like, we have that. I would, I would argue that there's probably more of a chance that maybe they do a B 21 sort of. Yeah, and not right. Yeah. And just never disclose it. Maybe till like 20 years down the road. You know, like, we would be 21. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, yeah, they would not launch an aircraft like that from.

Okay. So here's the, here's the dog star. I'm hoping that this is just somebody playing around on flight simulator and not thinking that this is, oh, wow, there it goes. Oh, look at it's British. Oh, what a climb. Hey, no, no vapor trails from the engine. No, how do they do that? Wow. It launched like that without burgers. Okay. So check this out. This is my favorite comment. Brock, is this video? Well, hey, at least someone's asking. They didn't read yet. You know, top, top gun Maverick was a true story. Yes. I know. Anyway, that's just, yes. I guess the moral of the story people is just be careful. Oh, by the way, I, I love the Babylon B to save time around a point supreme leader who is already dead. Oh, my. That's pretty good. Wow. Yeah. Sorry. That was just kind of funny. Anyway, yeah, chats must be broken tonight. I

think the chat is not working out tonight. Yep. So if you are out there watching and listening, and you have been sending a chat, we apologize. We are, we're not seeing them. So thank you for the interaction, but we just haven't been able to see so we can respond. But we'll get that fixed for Sunday's live stream. Yep. And yeah, so don't forget it's a live stream. Every Sunday Tuesday Wednesday night 7 30 PM mountain time right here on YouTube X Facebook rumble wherever you like to watch and make sure you stop by a rampswag store. There's the it's up. Oh, it's right. I got it tonight. Yeah. That's right. It's backwards. Anyway, that's the QR code for the rampswag store. Oh, look. Here's somebody. This is actually commenting from YouTube. Oh, there you go. We got the at Ronald Morasco. Maybe nobody wanted to check tonight. Yeah, I guess I was hoping maybe

we wouldn't. I hope we wouldn't get anything. And then we'd be like, oh, yeah, it was broken. And then then old, old Ronald brought us back to reality. Yeah, thanks for checking in, Ronald. We really appreciate it. So that was actually from YouTube. So, but yeah, head over to the rampswag store. Rumor has it. We're going to announce on Sunday a giveaway. I'll throw the rampswag store on there real quick. Okay, throw that on there real fast before we go. Lots of great merchandise. It's it's aviation merchandise that doesn't suck in a nutshell. I mean, look at this stuff. Yeah, look all the Twitter rando stuff. I got to get me a uni. Yeah, I know. And that, of course, you know, a lot of great zombie raptor stuff. It stickers, hats, you know, remove before flight stuff. I'm really looking forward to some of the new embroidered stuff that you shared with us

the other day. I'm super excited for that. Yeah. So yeah, here's the t-shirt version of your hoodie tonight, Tony. Oh, yes, it is. Yeah. Yeah. That's a cool t-shirt. So, like it. Kill it. So anyway, yeah, make sure you join us on Sunday. We'll be announcing our first ever giveaway on the ramp check aviation livestream. So we're excited for that. And of course, all the future episodes just keep your head on a swivel. Stay frosty out there. Do your own research. Any other cliches I can, I can imagine. Got them all covered. I think I did, right? Okay. Thanks, everyone. What? Hold on, Tony, before you end, I just want to, I just had this thought. If you see ridiculous videos and you, you know, you see some tag us to, or, oh, please, yes. You know, we definitely love to see it at ramp check global. Probably already know that,

but yes, tag us at ramp check global, because we want to see him. And we're still waiting for real air to air combat footage. Yes. Hey, yeah. Secretary Hegseth, dude, come on. I know. I find it hard to believe that, you know, the United States doesn't have a confirmed kill and has been released. I mean, maybe we're racking them up. I don't know. Yeah. And we're just waiting to, you know, maybe they're going to have a gala or something for the Raptors very first. Yes. I don't know, but, you know, sometimes the baddest jet on the block, nobody dares to go up. So you're not going to have as many opportunities. But anyway, all right. That's it. Okay. I'm done. Thanks for watching, everybody. We'll see you Sunday night, 7 30 PM mountain time. I'm Tony. I'm Aaron. And remember to like and subscribe. I'm Ryan. Good day.

Yeah. Yeah.
