The failure of RepubliCRATS

Tea With George

About this episode

All my adult life I’ve supported Republicans. Even when I had to hold my nose on supporting a Republican who would serve America only slightly better than the Democrat. In my home state of Virginia, I supported Denver Riggleman for Congress, and he won. But then insulted his base and endangered his seat by conducting a gay marriage. He lost his seat, and now he is supporting Kamala Harris as revenge for being voted out of office. In my hometown of Lynchburg, I supported all the Republicans who were running for Lynchburg City Council. But the goodwill-well was poisoned when two Republicans voted with the Democrats to make themselves mayor and vice mayor. Thousands of Republicans were upset by the betrayal, somewhat like your spouse going to bed with someone else on your honeymoon. Two of our City Council members made a big stink about improprieties, and they’ve been censured by the mayor and vice mayor, and the Democrats who gave them the mayor’s and vice mayor’s seats. Until Republicans can start acting like Republicans, I don’t see much change coming.
