The Exact Moment Host Realizes Lindsay Clancy Supporters Are Insane

About this episode

Dave Rubin of "The Rubin Report" talks to Jillian Michaels and Sage Steele about the viral Liberty Hangout "man on the street" interview with Lindsay Clancy supporters that is exposing how women being sympathetic to women suffering from postpartum depression is causing them to overlook the fact that Lindsay Clancy murdered her three children; Nick Freitas revealing how the Lindsay Clancy trial is exposing a massive and growing divide between men and women; breaking news of the murder of a 2-year-old by his mother in Frankfort, Illinois; Zohran Mamdani's army of social media influencers pushing propaganda, possibly at taxpayers' expense; John Fetterman offering Abdul El-Sayed $50,000 to hold a rally with Hasan Piker on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks; and much more.

Alright friends of the internet it's September 4th, 2026, I'm Dave Rubin and it's Friday which means it's time for another roundtable, extravaganzza, and joining me today I'm very happy to say you're two of the sanest chicks I know and my actual friends Sage Steel and Jillian Michaels ladies, I'm back, I'm back in business it is good to see, thank God, finally, max reality. I missed you guys, I gotta tell you, I didn't miss a lot of this, I didn't think about the news, I didn't think about politics, I didn't think about the crazy cast of characters that were always you know, bitching and moaning about and analyzing and over analyzing, but I did miss you guys, you guys were on my short list of people I missed so it is great to see and how was your August ladies before we dive into the craziness, Jillian?

Jillian doesn't breathe, Jillian moves more than anybody I know. I know not much change with Jillian because for the two minutes that we connected here before we started she was very concerned about her one fly away, that's very good. I can't, I can't, I can't, she's gonna dance everyday, I'm at a job and I can't, Chloe's dude who does my hair and make up his downstairs and I'm like all right, that's it, that's a good one right there. I tried to tuck it in, it's like a little antenna coming right out of the side of my head so, we'll see what we can do in post on that, sage your hair looking spectacular, there's a lot. Always, I just know I just couldn't care. Like it's total chaos and I did get it colored so no more gray skunks drive down the middle so I am ready for TV. All right, well I did miss you guys and when we were trying to figure out who I want to do this Friday with I was like I actually need to do it with literal and actual friends just to like come still, I'm still kind of easing my way back into the universe so it is good to be with you guys and one thing that I realized when I sat

down with Drew for the comeback is that I didn't really miss much in August but the one story that seems like it really has legs and true cultural importance that I did totally miss of course is this linsey, uh, clancy story so I'm gonna we just chatchy pt it just to really catch me up and those that haven't really been paying attention so I'm just gonna read about five sentences to set up what happened here and then we're gonna show a couple videos because this is I mean this is really really crazy across the board so of course linsey clancy is a massachusetts mother and former labor and delivery nurse accused of killing her three children, Kora five years old Dawson three and Kalin eight months at their ducksberry home in January of 2023 before attempting suicide, she is admitted to killing the children but her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible for her actions prosecutors argue clancy was lucid and deliberately planned the killings pointing to her behavior before and after the deaths as evidence of premeditation her murder trial began in the summer of 2026 and

featured weeks of testimony from mental health experts family members and medical providers about her condition and treatment guys I want you both to handle the heavy lifting on this one both because you've been around for more of the story than me and because you're women and mothers and great analysts of these things I do want to mention one other thing which is that I read a tweet that was a transcript of the audio on the father's phone call the husband's phone call which you guys have probably maybe I don't know if they've released the audio I just read it as a transcript when he realizes what Lindsay's done to herself but then subsequently the kids and I kid you not I mean I almost threw up while reading it it was the most hard it may be the most heartbreaking thing I've ever read in my entire life this story is an unbelievable tragedy across the board of course it's being politicized and now it seems to me that it is breaking something in male female relations that maybe it's been a long time coming so maybe Jillian why don't you so I'm not even going to ask you

a question why don't you just take it from there because because sage has been pregnant so I'm like one step removed and you're two step removed two steps removed because I adopted both of my kids and a lot of my friends are like you you know who are very reasonable women have said to me no you don't understand I'm like dude you know how rare purse post post-partum psychosis is it's like four and a hundred thousand women act out violently against their children it's exceptionally rare it is not post-partum depression which I'm sure is horrible post-partum anxiety my ex had some post-partum depression my best friend had like I get it all the women in my office I've been hearing it from women like you don't understand you don't understand and so I thought maybe sage could could run with the you don't understand part but you are absolutely right that it is

creating a hideous tribal rift between men and women in the same way that we saw between white people and black people after George Floyd it is deeply deeply concerning and so I sage I thought maybe you could start and then we could get out of these david just mentioned which I'm fascinated to talk about because I have been more caught up in the first part of it versus the second part but now it is so ugly and divisive and shocking in many ways to see all these women lined up and what they're saying we'll get into that I believe empathy and accountability can exist coexist and must with this I had my first child in 2002 second in 2004 third in 2006 and this is nothing that was discussed there was nothing that was discussed um you know in those prenatal courses it's et cetera like all the things that have been before you have a baby in lamas and all that stuff I didn't know what it was and the thoughts that were going through my mind

with my first child Quinn after she was born those first few weeks where you're most vulnerable yeah and I ignored it and like I actually I get all choked up right now thinking about it and what was going through my heart and my mind during those days where you're like what is that I have I have such love and pride for this little girl why what are these awful scary dark thoughts that are happening when I have such love so I ignored it and then I it went away to go back to work in eight weeks oh the laws are so much different now guys and men have freaking paternity leave whatever I like you I had to put it away I had my second child and it wouldn't go away and it got to the point when I had a 21 month old at home and then a newborn and I one night like I will never be able to verbalize um what was happening because I don't want to

I can't I can't say it but in the middle of the night I had an emergency phone call to my mother and she immediately said call your doctor now yeah it was imminent I I had no idea you guys what it was and the shame that takes over is debilitating and of course like I love my children I just gave birth you kidding me um and it doesn't make sense when you're having these thoughts so you make it go away otherwise they'll take they'll lock you up and take your child so obviously I never got to the point that um Lindsey Clancy did and others um but when I heard this initially when this whole thing began I cried because I was like oh my god what what if that were me like I I get it for all those listening and suffering and husbands of wives who are suffering there's a book that saved me um it's called Down Came the Rain and it's by Brook Shields and my doctor recommended it to

me and when she wrote that book you might recall Tom Cruise on Oprah on the couch freaking out being super inappropriate it had to do with that book and how like the the the drugs and at that Brook was considering to fix her brain when she's going through it like that book saved me and I was able at 1.2 thank her like I'm sorry I needed you to have that context um with me understanding it and I feel so blessed and lucky that I didn't end up like that this is like this is what I mean like right when you think yes yes opinion about it somebody you know trust completely respect with every cell in your body is like yeah you don't understand oh my god it's the worst thing I ever experienced and then tough to make this you know I guess and but then before I had my third I was more prepared this time right and this is 20 plus years ago so now we all know about it is discuss so much more and this still happened you can talk about the mental the doctors who failed her you can

talk about all of that which may be absolutely true it feels that way we don't know enough to be able to say that um fine it exists we know it's real and then you look at the facts of this case and what does feel like and seem like from all the testimony that I've watched premeditation and no matter what get all that shit out of your brain there are three dead babies that died with exercise bands around their neck it takes a long time several minutes to kill them in that way and with the phone calls in between to the husband so she could time out the google searches she could time out how long will it take her when he'd be back methodically no no there must be accountability there has to be while I have empathy for her situation and the many people who maybe failed her this does not present like the psychosis that we have seen where someone snaps you snap you have the

voices you snap you stab your kids we saw women recently two kids dead in a bathtub and it happened so fast she wasn't googling things ahead of time and timing things out when she orders her food so I have sympathy for her I want to I want to hug the Lindsey Clancy leading up to that moment and those thoughts and she must be punished there are three dead babies and I'll never ever forget like you said Dave the words and the anguish of that father yeah well first off sage I just want to thank you for sharing that story because it gives context and life and open intended to why this has now become so crazy putting aside the legal stuff that we'll get to and and I agree with you on there has to be some kind of punishment and everything else and I think it's important why I think it's fairly obvious for anyone that knows the three of us like we can lead with the story we can do a story like this with empathy but that doesn't excuse murder and so before we get to the

sort of legal part of it I want to show you this this video because it's going really viral of Lindsey Clancy supporters so this has been the weird part for me who I only jumped in on this thing as it's burst forth so I'm seeing the media reaction to it and everything just as I'm hearing about the story and to see that there are quite literally hundreds of thousands millions of women that are supporting her seems rather bizarre to me not to not to dismiss anything that sage just said about there about the realities around this so check this video out do you stand with her yes or no I don't think she did it yes we feel she's very sleep deprived her job as a labor and delivery nurse working night shifts and three children this a lot a lot do you have children yes would you ever hurt them yes and no as a as a mom or as a dad I think that you are not perfect so what are the consequences she should face for this obviously she's already in a wheelchair she should go to jail for negligence he was it was he needs to take care of his kids and that was his responsibility is this any of your

girlfriends this is your girlfriend I think you have to do some reflection on that I just have seen a little bit on tiktok of the case I'm watching it on tiktok or like the live streams like where are you getting your news that the defense might not be getting theirs I don't but I don't you say tiktok right okay so guys let's again let's hold let's hold on the legal part for just a second and and you know what we all think maybe should should or shouldn't happen to her legally for just a moment but let's focus on that because that to me from what I'm understanding is just like a very small sampling of what's happening across the country right now people are blaming the husband I mean you heard you heard several she's not guilty I don't think she did it there's no doubt that she did it I mean all sorts of crazy things so Jillian what what do you what do you think is happening culturally around this okay I was just talking about this with a couple of friends this morning because there's a Nick Freightis clip yes drop it into your day I love Nick Freightis

this is a man who cherishes his wife cherishes his daughter cried when he talked about walking her down the aisle and the level of over it in this man's voice was deeply alone I honestly don't think that women understand what a catalyst moment this is there's been a lot of conditions set for young man to just be fed up this is the one where I don't think they realize you could look back in in 20 years and be like oh this is where we lost the right to vote yeah literally because the bottom line is as women become more tribal men are becoming more tribal and bad news our tribe doesn't need you to secure our rights you need us to help you secure yours and people are like oh Nick Freightis is advocating right no I'm not advocating it I'm telling you you get you get tribal to this degree yeah we're not only can you kill our kids in the womb through all nine months of pregnancy but now you can strangle them on the outside and you're the one

that gets sympathy and the husband is to blame that's where you move men into the screw you phase of the exercise I've gotten text messages from people like Steven Crowder and he's like do you see now these men are pissed and the reason I'm worried about that is for the same sort of tribal thing that you just mentioned of men against women at a time when we should be coming together to help both husbands and wives men and women mothers and fathers come through difficult times now we're pitting them against each other and Nick Freightis goes he's like you guys have rights because we help you have them and I was like oh shit that's that's intense I don't love that and he's like he's like seriously like I'm for you having them he's like but when you lose them and you alienate us you kill kids you celebrate killing kids and you blame the father he's like that's it yeah I could tell I'm I'm butchering it a little so drop it in

but there isn't a better quality man I you Dave but like I'd put you parallel okay like I think he's just an incredible guy and seen that level of anger and sick of it and over it and pushed to the edge and I think that a lot of men are feeling this way and my concern again is that it in the same tribal racial stuff that we're seeing that's tearing the country apart if we see this between men and women I like I don't even know what that with the f that looks like I don't understand what that looks like right so we're blaming the husband that there's no universe where he did it none there's he has people who saw him at the CBS people who saw him at the restaurant they've got him on video cameras he's like she's admitted to doing it her defense team there's no case against him the cops investigated him dropped it within 24 hours he's got all the alibis and women are like oh he's wearing different shoes at the CBS on the restaurant so he did it it is fucking crazy it's crazy

Dave okay so sage you've got this sort of version of it where now men are feeling under attack for the reasons that we we will have laid in that dick clip got by the way guys for the way for what Nick is talking about that Jillian just reiterated and then you have what seems like a series of women that for some of the reasons that you described about yourself a moment ago are being overly empathetic to the point of siding with her in what she did am I stating that correctly yeah and the excuses that they're making for her every single new mother or mother with a newborn is tired every single one of them is exhausted every single one of them has some fears and is overwhelmed and that is not an excuse to murder your children methodically one by one it's not an excuse I am blown away at these women I'm so disappointed in these women and these the same

women the one woman who's like well you know could you ever hurt your child well yes and no really that alone but these the same women as yeah they're like hard and wax on their kids they're throwing ice water on their kids they're shaking their kids they're they're that's true big talk videos and then they're putting it and they're documenting it and putting that on social media as they do those crazy things too but you know that's funny where the accountability where does it begin and end for them so if you're the parent of a teenager who misses their curfew what do you do you ground them you take their keys for a week there's there's there's actually consequences when you make a mistake this is more than a mistake so I'd love to ask them some specific questions well what about this what about this what about this so it's okay to have consequences until when murder because you are tired and you feel like your husband wasn't home enough as far as the male part like I that really bothers me you know men the fathers don't have a say with abortion even though it took two to get there look at the harassment that the things that

happen in workplaces now I know so many men who are like you know afraid to say gosh Jill your hair looks great are you letting it grow I said that before we started today right or and that's a great outfit because you will get sued uh taken a court you know fire from your job whatever it is like we are equal men it's kind of true are the ones that helped us get there to do the right thing we fought for ourselves and it took all of us to make sure that we were allowed to vote and have the rights that we always should have had it took too long fine my point is is to what end ladies like what is the line here because I believe like the only reason I made it in my career is because of men the women were the worst by the way but the men along the way are there and they have been there and supported us imperfectly of course but now you're saying because she's struggled and had some postpartum issues and he should have seen it and it's his fault

and he wasn't there enough what are we what are we doing and I don't blame men for being completely done with it especially with the hypocrisy that lies in every aspect of society now right and we know we know that in divorces you know women get the kids we can check the exact number but it's something like 90% of the time regardless of what is going on in the family and a series of other things so men in some sense have been on the defensive and now I can imagine for a certain set of men to be like oh also your wife could potentially kill your kids and either you'll be blamed for it or she she will be exonerated for what she obviously did I mean this is just open up a a Pandora's box that I think we have no idea what's going to come out I'm being told right now women mothers receive sole custody 80% of the time in post divorce cases so that tells you something right there we all know we should be eating more fruits and vegetables but getting enough variety every single day isn't always realistic that's where balance in nature makes things easy their whole

health system combines fruits and veggies with fiber and spice giving you 47 different ingredients from fruits vegetable spices and fibers and the naturally occurring phytonutrients that come with they use a tailored vacuum cold process to stabilize the ingredients before they're powdered and packaged with no binders fillers or flow agents just a simple way to add more whole food ingredients to your daily routine right now you can save 10% go to balanceinature.com and get 10% off their whole health system when you use the discount code Rubin that's balanceinature.com code Rubin for 10% off all right so I want to show you one or two other clips on this but before I do I just quickly on on the legal side of it it seems to me that no matter everything that sage said about her own experience notwithstanding all of the psych all of the postpartum stuff and everything else that at the end of the day she killed her three kids and you have to go to jail I see I simply see no way around it otherwise society like there will always be an excuse for something women should

never hold any position of power obviously certainly never be president or anything else what it will then do for the male female relations will just be beyond imagination so it seems to me like just being as I'm with 100% empathy here to everyone involved including her despite what she did but I see no way around it you don't get a there's no like get out of jail free pass because of a psychological condition that you're allowed to kill people I mean imagine with that we do so are we in agreement on that deep not only that did you see the woman in time square that just stabbed a 68 year old tourist and stabbed a new mom and killed her yeah postpartum psychosis literally that was like came out with it she's had a history of mental illness and you know postpartum psychosis so where is this going to stop and then you know I was talking to my producer Fletcher and he goes you know there was a dad that had postpartum depression and had PTSD and he killed his kids and they

but like I think this guy's going to get the death penalty like where does this stop and I think also men are seeing oh you crucified the father but the mother you're venerating it's I'm in agreement with you I think seems pretty clear to me yeah see the agreement with you at this would have been far more cut and dry for me though without my friends who I trust more than anything almost every single one breaking into tears and last thing I'll say you know Heidi my ex went through a little bit of this and no one prepared us and because no one prepared us I actually wrote a book about can trying to conceive being pregnant postpartum with five doctors five of them because we were so unprepared for every step of her pregnancy postpartum psychosis though never came up once but postpartum depression sure did so yeah and and I I didn't know that Jill one of the many books you've written I'd love to read it now as I I'm kind of forcing myself

no I'd like kind of forcing myself to relive this through it and I've literally never I mentioned it on the show on actual friends when it was the spouses it was Drew and Susan and me and my husband Dave and mentioned a little bit there and I was shaking as I did it because it brings you back and it's important though to continue to talk about now this is going to be precedent setting that's the other thing all of a sudden it feels like we have some copycat cases out there maybe they're just being exposed a little bit more so that that scares me that's why there has to be a precedent here and maybe it isn't for the women okay don't kill your kids obviously maybe it's for the partners maybe it's for the spouses out there who who need to now be so much more aware and proactive going into the pregnancy going into the delivery because it's the time right after that last thing I'll say is this jury nine women and three men I want to know and I don't know that we'll ever be able to especially if this one ends in a mistrial which it feels like it's about to I want to know who did what who said what we'll never fully know there are reasons behind it I guess but that to me when I look at the women at the outside of the courtroom where they're

just outside of where they're deliberating I think there's probably a lot of women that feel the way those protesters supporters call them what you want how they feel and that's probably why this thing is going to go to mistrial and then they're saying Lindsey's defense attorney says she won't be able to handle another one you will you know what handle it handle it your kids can handle anything because of you handle it okay so it sounds like the three of us are on the same page yeah there's so much here I mean I I could it's like banging around in your brain yeah well I was just thinking as you were saying that sage it's like think about the average guy who's in a perfectly normal marriage you know and everything's just fine and if they let her off the idea that one day his wife could just go crazy for any reason whatsoever it doesn't have to be postpartum there could be any psychological condition that could lead her to abusing or killing their kids and you can probably flip the sexes on this too but we're dealing with the woman doing it right now that that guy is suddenly going to be very leery of his wife you cannot once you say murder for whatever reason

is okay or will not be punished equally as any other murder you've just done something horrible sage you did mention that now there's been a series of what apparently or potentially our copycat attacks so I want to show you video coverage out of Frank Ferdinand I know I hear here's one of them this is just absolutely heartbreaking to understand what happened a couple blocks away and that it's impacting our community a community in shock after police say a two-year-old dies at the hands of a family member Carolyn Papis was among those shaken upon hearing the news about the domestic incident milvin woods junior was another one there's a community where we never have any issues of this sort so kind of struck me Frank for police say it was around four p.m. Tuesday afternoon when officers responded to a call for help first responders arrived in the block of Brookstone court to find an unresponsive child in a home there this neighbor who did not want to be on camera notice the commotion and says investigators had been at the usually quiet cul-de-sac well into the night I'm very shocked I can't believe that I'm seeing police tape you know

and really not knowing like what's going on all right so that was just one there's at least one more that happened in the last couple weeks we don't know if it's fully copycat or whatever else but sage or Jillian let me go to you first on this you know I stepped away from all this for a month like stepped away from the craziness and to me I've come back to like this thing is just so crazy that it wouldn't surprise me the way the internet works if suddenly you get these copycat things which in some sense gets us back to why the punishment has to be real here well this is this was my point about women not even killing their kids but abusing them in TikTok videos literally Dave one is pouring hot wax on her child they're throwing hot babies that are crying they're like shaking their kids it is so dark and so disturbing and when I said you know this would have been cut and dry for me I mean I would have written Lindsey Clancy off as being demonic that's that's what I mean

I think unequivocally there should be a punishment this is this is a crime and I'm sorry in the tragedy but I'm saying I would have had no empathy for her so when I listen to my friends like sage or Chloe or you know the women in my office but women taking to the internet and abusing their children on camera I think I think each one Dr. Phil said this to me I'm gonna echo it I think each one needs to be investigated totally okay if you are quote same Lindsey turn your ass into the police now if you make a video saying same Lindsey same conversation go check yourself into a hospital dude if you really think you're same Lindsey period it's right you can you can have you can have an incredible right you can have an incredible amount of empathy for her you can that was the point that we started with here you can have well you know no I'm trying because of people like sage because that like I'm trying to understand she because I you know she did something that

literally like rips the fabric of reality in half a mother killing a child it's impossible to understand her wrap your head around but you can have empathy for someone going through something horrible but this is sort of like when you know when there's a school shooter and you know it's like well okay do they have mental problems obviously but you don't say okay so we don't punish them you know sane person I remember specifically that uvalde Texas one a couple years ago where where somebody killed I think it was 18 elementary school kids and a few teachers and it's like obviously that person had horrific mental health issues but you but you can't say well all right so you don't go to jail by the way every single person who murders someone else like first degree murder premeditated murder probably has something off upstairs probably has some sort of mental issue and so we're not going to punish them because of the circumstances number one jillion absolutely anyone that you see posting any video investigate them like it's

crazy that they think that this is a is that the point we've gotten to where people are so desperate for likes go after them the Trump administration like whatever it is go after them report them to your local authorities because nobody wants this in their community and secondly women want equality in every way except when it's not convenient for them which one is it ladies which one is it do we want equality in every single way whether it's voting whether it's athletically fine you know as far as your salaries as you climb the corporate ladder you want to be equal but not here yeah no go well that's why I'm saying you think men are going to suddenly ever vote for a woman to be president if they let her skate like oh well women are hormonal and occasionally they might kill people and might also have the nuclear codes you'd be you'd have to be crazy right uh all right do you anyone want to final word on that yeah I say is that I think there is an element of this that allows people to be one step removed Nancy this is so awful I actually don't know if you

could put it in I couldn't watch it my wife told me about it I tried to listen to parts of it but Nancy Grace describes what had to have happened yes when she strangled each one of these children for four minutes and Dave you I can't get through it but I think that if you even listen to a minute of it I just don't this is where like the only way I'm not unleashing saying this woman is is possessed by demons which I don't even believe and I don't believe in it even shit but it's so dark and so evil to be able to do this I think we I think we we have the luxury of like far kids are dead you know it's violent I think I think everybody should watch that I saw that I think everybody should watch it's the only way and and are we are we more concerned about this woman versus three innocent babies yeah and working horrors show that's all I'm gonna say is like you can't I

don't I don't think you get past a minute of it but I don't have to listen to that and then like same Lindsey like dude we're not we won't we won't post that here but we won't post that here but obviously obviously people can find it and the last thing I would say on it is you know in some sense I guess we shouldn't be surprised by this because a certain political aisle has so fetishized abortion which is killing children whether you like it or not and you can have all your debates on where life starts and when it should if ever be legal and rape and all that other stuff but I'm gonna guess that probably 99% of the people who are supporting her right now are our total pro abortion advocates and that's a very difficult reality that we're also gonna have to confront but all right ladies that's why I love talking to you guys because we can do a little bit of everything let's let's put that down for a moment and get to something that'll be a little easier because it's a little more wheelhouse for what we normally do this is a paid advertisement from

corruption that would surprise me with anything related to New York City or Mamdame or anything else obviously influencers are paid like that doesn't surprise everybody the idea that they have a secret signal group chat and that tax payer dollars it's one thing if a non profit or some private citizen is paying an influencer to say something and you can criticize that as such but that tax payer dollars would be spent so that the mayor can get messaging out seems highly illegal to me my guess is nothing will come of this but sage New York it is what it is huh New York knows how to just continue to put their foot in their mouth and every single while though they're trying to keep it secret not letting us know be a signal the end of the day only thing I have a problem with is the tax payer dollars because it happens influencers getting paid etc that's that's part of the

world in which we all work and live today and of course they're going to have talking points of course they're going to I mean it happens every day in the campaign trail for candidates that we support and respect as it does on the left but if you're using my money to do that I have a problem here's the thing why are we surprised this is actually one of the things much lower on my totem pole for New York City but this guy continues to do pretty much exactly what he says he was going to do in the people of New York I hate to say it reef what you sow this is what you get for bringing in a man who has made it so clear before during and after his election of what his plan is and why socialism like that's the only part that I have an issue with even if I disagree with their talking points they have a right to have those opinions and share those points on a secret signal chat that's fine yeah I mean I'm with you on that look they can say whatever they want to say as influencers they can take money to say those things if they wish I suppose it's on them to

disclose that to their audience if they actually care about their audience but none of that is illegal the issue about tax payer dollars for partisan government messaging that jilly and I suspect you have a problem with I I covered it months ago he brought the woman really he's kept yep I covered it in an expose that we did on the dsa and we were like how is this not being investigated how it's this legal like normally you run a campaign you've got contributions the campaign ends he's brought the woman who ran his campaign given her a government job and he's using tax payer dollars to continue the campaign which of course is wildly unfair to the person that's going to end up running against him for all the obvious reasons it I don't even understand how this is legal I don't get it it's it's arguably not but no one's doing anything about it right it doesn't sound like it's legal but that's the question does anyone ever pay the price for anything and I you know it's

something we talk about all the time the california I mean this this is no different from any other kind fraud if it's being done at that level up from the mayor's office down how is that different from Gavin Newsom's california in so many ways which is why they're they're doing that what's the the act the the Nick uh oh the Nick Shirley act the Nick the Nick Shirley act because we don't want to discover this fraud and we're going to make him go what like there there's no difference and so why would they stop honestly when they see that there's never any accountability unless some 22 year old curious journalist with an iPhone is going to take a chance and go blow them up what this isn't going to stop anytime soon especially like who's going to investigate that New York City no no but it's in and and just as a sidebar because we're a week away from the 25th anniversary I mean the idea that 25 years after 9.11 and I lived in New York City during 9.11 my dad saw the second plane hit the tower from his office I was trapped in the city where I had several friends that had to stay with me because they couldn't get back to the suburbs all of the stuff months of you know

chaos and everything else that that Zorhan Mamdami is the mayor of New York City 25 years later is is is beyond fiction and yet it's reality so that that is what New York City has at the moment but Jillian I want to play a clip of you although it's not well it's you well you're sort of a side character in this one you're getting because you went on Pierce Morgan's show and you know my feeling about Pierce is that he would sell his mother to do the jihadist for a click but whatever the show is what it is it doesn't even matter the show is what it is I don't really care for much of the screaming and any and all the crazy nonsense except Jank Euger who I know none of us are fans of who used to be my boss who I think is genuinely one of the worst people in this space you were on a panel with him and his chair committed jihad against him and I just felt we had to show this clip 18 Americans are dead because of your beloved is that's why I'm betrayal 9-11 I don't like people saying I hate American nobody thinks that we deserve 9-11 yeah you're you're

nephew said that we love America we love America so much we want to represent America instead of is yours being blown up behind him because he loves America okay let me stop you there let me play let me play a little match up of your nephew check has a bike yes and the controversial things you say here we go here we go back to well I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm gonna talk about mic Rogers I know I don't know you know I'm sorry oh here we go again you're gonna expose me for being a liar we don't he never said he hates America we love America of course there is well how about this lady I damn it I hate America so much we are the bad guys we are the bad guys why do I hate America because I recognize accurate history oh god I hate America so much god I hate America so much sometimes it's like so stupid dude god I hate America so much bro I hate this country dude I hate America so much dude guys you know I don't love being in all these little inter-interfights

and influencer wars and everything else I used to know the guy sage I think I've told you before I used to play ball with him every Sunday major ball hog which is all you need to know about somebody to know everything else about them but he really is the center of energy now I mean Zorhan is like right there too obviously but in terms of online internet presence Hassan Piker is now is now the most important figure on the left and I think they've created a very toxic stew with this guy and and it could I think it could take down the whole country I honestly do you mean the influence that the has that one pipe well that he's ginned up all of these young people with his horrible ideas no democrats want to push back the few that do get kicked out of the party sage on federal man and they and the socialist move is here and he's got he does a brilliant job of it he's really good at it I didn't I didn't go deep on him until Jillian Michaels until you brought his name up several times on actual friends I think there's certain people that don't

come up in my algorithms for obvious reasons when I did it it made me it right it made me shake I'm like this is real here is to your point Dave it is effective I mean look at the rise and the DSA memberships that have just continued to absolutely skyrocket just in the last couple of years even though after research that it existed for decades but all of a sudden recently why is that it's because of people like that and the scariest part is that who do we have right now in that demographic to combat him because we don't have Charlie Charlie Kirk is gone Charlie Kirk was that person who could counteract that with actual facts in a kind sensible way where he allowed other voices to come in which was the college campus tours and I think that this is a an actually a problem that is being overlooked on the republican side conservative call it what you want anything opposite of the Hassan Piker side that there is no one Democrats have always been so much better I think with messaging and with reaching the the youth Obama and 2008 starting

there with hope and change and all the pretty colors in Facebook like he went to social media before was what it is today and it was so effective and Democrats have always done that and they've got a guy now who's always been out there but think about the timing now where he is more part of our everyday conversations because Charlie has gone and they know that they we who do we have right now guys to to go toe to toe with him that has the kind of platform and the reach that Charlie had the reach that Charlie had who do we have we have amazing young people they just we do but I'm saying what that platform yeah no no you're right and it's going to take some time for them to but we don't have time and look at look at that look at the midterms that are here in a few weeks like that's the problem that we don't have time and when we did over the last nine months or years that Charlie died we did nothing about it there were other things that we were worrying about not that you should say okay who do we replace Charlie because Charlie is the replaceable I'm just saying

like there's there's nobody go ahead well well so Julian I mean what do you make of the fact that someone who can be on camera constantly talking about how much he hates America constantly talk about how he understands why 9-11 happened to America who's electrocuted his dog on air we can go oh who's talked about that you don't need to suicide bomb anymore you should just find a Chinese drone and you can kill people that way I mean he wants blood in the streets like he's done all of these things and I'm sure much worse that all of the Democrats are showing up at his house to do the show with him where they take his purity tests I'll say it is campaigning with him yeah they and and and and and and answer is is crawling out the back door right now just we'll see oh no he's like I don't want to talk about a streamer from California I mean like you mean your best friend no but that's the thing begged for help oh yeah L.S.I.D.s trying to be like I don't know what you're talking about look over here in JD Vance he's a racist oh yeah oh he's trying to do a full blown 180 so does this seem does this seem like to me it seems like the obvious end

of where the Democrat party will be and I shouldn't say and it's like nine out of 10 steps to the end because because God knows what the true like evil ending of this whole thing will look like but like the idea that you can now run alongside people who openly hate America who want to every single Democrat at this point pack the courts they you know just basically destroy the system as it exists so none of this should surprise us like this is the end right well okay there there's a lot there off the top I want to draw a parallel passon piker totally insane celebrates Charlie's assassination threatens use if they support Israel they'll get hurt everything you just set radical lunatics psychotic follow me for a second here Lindsey Clancy okay clinically insane murderous for kids both of these people have existed throughout history but typically they have been marginalized what we're seeing now is there being canonized and that's where it's not a son it's not Lindsey

it's the same Lindsey's it's all of the people that follow and subscribe to his stream and that's where we need to go well the women are all right well the men are not all right well the kids are not all right okay what's happening as a culture where everyone is this mentally ill this unstable this angry this like fringe with regard to their thinking and I think that you're absolutely right sage republicans need to find a more empathetic way to come at this because the bootstrap conversation is not working it's very genx it really is oh shut up put your bootstrap yeah go to work shut up shut up like oh yeah we'll wind a little broad and title little attitude is not working and I think we need to say listen the obstacles are real but the ceiling is not let's see here everyone is struggling with this older age millennials can afford homes gen exers lost their house in the 2008

crash like baby boomers are barely making ends read meet off their social security checks you're not alone in this there is something broken here how can we change it but we got to give better solutions than socialism and burn down the country or pull yourself up by your bootstraps because that shit's not working clearly I just don't know I don't know how to do that and do that quickly especially because every single time we do say something sensible yeah but Trump and that's where it ends that that's where they then a great job of that for sure you know I think we are and I think that these kids are going to have to end up experiencing socialism I think they're going to have to see rent in New York go through the roof like it did in the 70s because of the freezes they're going to have to see crime go through the roof with our terrified to take the trains we've all said this before you only leave the left when it comes for you well they're going to vote all these people into power and it's going to come for them right a conservative is a liberal

month of priority and when they wake up we need to be ready with some common sense at a better plan you know guys when I was off the grid one and I mostly try to just purge a lot of the nonsense that we deal with over the year and everything else but I do try to think of some of the topics and how I can kind of hit them from a new way and one thing that I was constantly thinking about and I think this is sort of exactly what you're talking about Jillian is like there's like an architecture of the internet problem meaning that there's like there's relatively sane thought it could be a little bit left it could be a little bit right but you could say there's sort of mainstream relatively okay over in window thought and then there's just crazy stuff everywhere but the way the internet works is crazy stuff are all crazy people and crazy ideas are all on the same playing field is everything that's somewhat relatively normal right and what happens is the crazier thing you say you keep getting normal people to defend against it but that brings attention to it so every time you say something crazy you actually are unwitting you are causing good people to unwittingly

expand the over in window and then you just end up with crazy everywhere I have no idea how we defend against that say it's a new set say you're the expert on architecture of the internet right no I it overwhelms me it scares me and I have these conversations with my 24 22 and 22 year old kids because they are the ones that are targeted by the has-son-pikers of the world and they now no longer after they once did get all of their news from tiktok because that's just that's just what happens and that's why they've actually been so effective there's a part of me that goes you know I saw a map recently or something on x about okay if you had to choose one part of the country to live in for the rest of your lives where are you choosing and I guess it was maybe four or five different areas and literally I put it in front of the kids and every single one of us chose the south like I'm in Tennessee Tennessee all down through Texas and everywhere east and south to Florida like

part of me thinks that we're all there's going to be that divide that comes up and every in this in this recession that is going to happen and people are like oh yeah you guys in Tennessee and Florida and Texas I get it now I'm out because what's happening in New York is crazy and we're like yeah I told you so Dave aren't you the one that brought up a moving tax if you want to come here with your crazy politics and entry tax like because part of me thinks that this is if they win the midterms and then who knows what happens in 2028 I mean the the wrong thing is lingering and causing more issues than probably anybody in DC ever imagined at this point and it's going to cost us in one way or another and so what happens in 2026 and 2028 and that's why I feel like I know I'm in the right place and this would happen so there's a part of me it would be like fine fine just put borders up everywhere and I'll stay down here because if it continues like this I'm I'm not willing to go sit next to them I quite literally on Rubin Ruhori yesterday somebody during a Q&A

asked me about secession and I I get asked this question a lot and my feeling is that if the Democrats win the midterms because then Trump's done it's just over it's impeachment all hell's going to break loose the the secession movement and the the real state rights movement is going to explode and it is probably be for it I don't even want to talk that into existence I know Abraham Lincoln it's not just that he freed the slaves he saved the union and that worked you know for a long long time but but maybe it doesn't work anymore but let's not end on that type of depression I have a different type of depression sort of connecting everything because because you mentioned Charlie Kirk and obviously September 10th will be the one year anniversary of Charlie's death we all know that September 11th it's the 25th anniversary of those horrific attacks and John Federman one of the few sane Democrats who will not be a Democrat much longer he has now offered Abdul Al-Sahid and Zorhan Mamdami $50,000 to hold a rally on 9-11 with Hassan Piker to explain why

they think America deserved 9-11 take a look I'm encouraging El-Sahid you know remind everybody and Michigan who you are and the kind of people that you stand with and I'm offering $50,000 for you to do a rally with Hassan Piker on 9-11 the anniversary and you could all explain to people why America deserve that 25 years ago or or do a rally that's another $50,000 if you do a rally with your sister you know that she celebrates publicly after the massacre of 10-7 for that too these are the people that he aligns with that's the kinds of folks that helped him win the primary now Jillian I mean Federman's trying he's he's really trying to hold the lion and keep them from the crazy yeah I don't think it'll work but God bless him they're fighting this with everything they've got you want to you know the pub pulled the clip from the peer show that I did yesterday and it's like oh we're unfairly smearing El-Sahid with this whole like radical islamist thing and I

was like are we though he's for Sharia law absolutely yeah like he's just took to the internet to give October 7th blessings the Muslim brotherhood featured him on their web page his father-in-law holds leadership roles in two organizations that are unundited co-conspirators of the Holy Land terrifying dancing trial he's best friends with a son-piker who says we deserve 9-11 like are we unfairly smearing him with this he did make an equivocation to oh well but all the dead people and all the Arab countries that I come from in America did this so you decide like is it unfair or not if it bothers you this is what he did you decide but he's fascinating right because then they're like all big it like all right big it here we go I'll add big it to my list yeah well we're all on that list but it's also I mean look you know he's also Egyptian and is never once called for Egypt to open the do Egypt could open the door to the gossips right now let two

million people in and it would all be over but of course he's not interested in that sage I will give you final word I honestly I just think that we need to we need to look deeply like within ourselves I'm not trying to be dramatic because I'm never dramatic but like I I really think we need to say what can we do we're doing it your show every day Dave your show every day Jillian what you're doing what you're re I don't know anybody who researches more than you Jill and you're reading and like it's it's it's incredible but it does she's like that's an awful waste of time by the way Jillian you know it's not just where we are but I just think I think that if if we go down we've got to go down fighting and knowing that we did everything in our power on our own separate platforms on our shows that we do mutually and just the way that we talk and communicate to get the message out and then no matter what happens in November on November 3rd we're going to say okay

we tried to know we have some personal decisions to make and by the way I'm trying to be glass half full I I'm not resigning myself to the fact of anything including the midterms but we also have to look at the facts historical facts with midterms and just the reality of where we are right now and so what did it all out there use our resources be thoughtful with it and then have a plan a plan of what do we do next as as leaders and as parents and friends because this is not either way even if we win the midterms like this isn't all going to get fixed and be rainbows and butterflies and sunshine the next day like there's a lot of stuff with what are going to do with it and that's what I need to ask myself like how can I be better I will say the only time I really really strongly strongly give my opinions is with you guys I feel comfortable doing it I love listening because we come from different places and different opinions and you change my mind on a lot of things I'm a guy I didn't think of it that way I know I need to do more of it because I don't know that I'm doing

enough just to offer a different version of thought to people who look like me who are closet conservatives with brown skin because it's still like you're going to get canceled if you think this like put it all out there and see what happens and we'll know that we did our best I don't know sage you just basically gave us the end of Lord of the Rings you fight and fight and fight but it's the friends you make along the way so we've got each other despite the revolution ladies I love you sage will continue this on actual friends this week gillian you have other things to attend to we'll try not to abuse we'll try not to abuse drew too much without you I thank you ladies happy love you guys labor day weekend everybody and we'll see you on Tuesday
