In early February, Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin alleged that Trump's name appears more than a million times in the unredacted Epstein files, a number that is almost impossible to comprehend. While many of these mentions may be benign, the sheer volume, combined with the DOJ's proven effort to hide the most incriminating files, paints a picture of a massive cover-up. The very week that Operation Epic Fury was launched was the same week that calls for investigations into the DOJ's handling of these files reached a fever pitch. Congressman Jamie Raskin drops a bombshell, alleging Trump's name appears over 1,000,000 times in the full unredacted files, and that the DOJ is not being transparent. Mid-February 2026, the story about the damning January 30 document begins to gain traction. Journalists notice it was removed from the DOJ website.

15:19Under pressure, the DOJ republishes it on February 19, confirming its existence and its temporary removal. February 24, 2026. NPR publishes its definitive investigation, confirming the DOJ actively withheld and removed multiple Trump-related documents, proving a cover-up is in progress. February 26, 2026. The story explodes. Democrats on congressional committees call the missing documents a major cover-up and demand the Attorney General testify. The pressure on the White House is immense. February 28, 2026. Just two days after the cover-up becomes a major political crisis, President Trump, without any approval from Congress, launches Operation Epic Fury. The world's attention is immediately and violently diverted to the war in Iran. This is not a coincidence. This is a clear and calculated timeline of distraction. As the legal and political firestorm over the Epstein files was about to consume the presidency, a new, much larger fire was lit halfway across the world.
