Guys, today's episode is gonna be awesome.

1:01We're talking about basically self-control. And that's actually the kind of chapter that I'm on in my life. I'm learning that self-control is one of the fruits that the Holy Spirit gives. And right now in my life, I'm trying to have a lot of self-control, a lot of strong will. But we're having you on because you realize about how difficult it could be now kids having phones in their hands. So before we unpack, tell us about yourself. And why are you in the journey that you're on right now? I have no idea how I ended up here making software because I have zero technical background and never written a line of code whatsoever. I was actually a filmmaker for 10 years. So what made you hop from filmmaking to... How do you even do that? How do you go into code? You have an idea and then people tell you you can't do it. And then you're me and you're like, so we're gonna do it. Yeah, nice. But basically about four years ago, I came up with the question, what would I pay each month such that photography

2:05required no self-control, which is sort of like an inversion of how you went normally, approach the question, which is how do I increase my self-control in a world that's like offering you doom scrolling and pornography or whatever? So let's highlight that. So right now you started coding, you developed shift. Yeah, so I haven't actually done really any of the coding, but I founded this company four years ago because I was trying to come up with a software that had basically never been done before, which was if this thing just couldn't produce the content that you didn't wanna see, instead of how do I develop self-control to not consume it. So question, and I'm gonna throw some hard questions. What's the difference between this and like a blocker? Well, you can get around everything except us. Okay. That's our claim to fame. Can I ask you a question? Yeah. It's gonna be a funny question, but I'm right there with you, there's no judgment.

3:05How serious was your prediction that you were like, I gotta help, not only myself, but everybody around me. Did you grow up with it? How old are you? I'm 28. So you grew up with it right in your hand at an early age? Yes and no. So when I four years ago had that idea, I asked that question, I had already been two years removed from a prediction. And I was also an atheist at the time. Hold on, just two years ago. No, no, so six years ago. Yeah, it was in the two-year span, but this is interesting. So in a faith-based religion, you still were practicing photography. And then you're an atheist and you're like, I'm gonna clean myself up. You're gonna think you might be the first one, dude. Yeah, what, what, that's interesting to me, because to me, if I'm walking around, and there's no God, which means there's no law, W. W. Dott. Yeah, that's how it started. I actually, so I journaled a lot for about 10 years. I stopped not really intentionally about two years ago, but I have 10 years of journals. And I actually have the page in my journal

4:07where I become an atheist. And like two days later, I literally wrote down, like without God, everything's permissible. Like why wouldn't I indulge in photography? Now I think I was about 16, 15, 16 years old. And when I was 11, I had stumbled across it on a family computer by total accident. But then never found it again until like sophomore, junior year of high school. So I was kind of like a rarity in that, like most kids, my age and Gen Z, you find it day one, really young, parents' annual smartphone, and you know, eighth grade or something, and then software races. What made you like, you said sophomore year? Yeah. That's, you're just an anomaly to me, because usually like sophomore to me, in a sophomore, I was a pro in photography. Like in fact, I knew every, I would go to different countries and know exactly what their websites were. Like so. That's a connoisseur. Yeah, no, no, you know how people know they're wine? I knew my photography. So sorry, so sorry.

5:07Actually, that is a little over exaggerated. Yeah, sure. Because when I grew up and people would name women, I would, to me, I was a lazy photography watcher. I was just like home screened, that's it. Like, sorry, I'm going too far. But what I'm saying is your life to me is like a, it's like in a box, shookin' up, it's very weird. It's very bad. Like, Jesus, you exist, gonna go to this website. Jesus, you don't exist. It's time for me to clean up my act. Like it's kind of like you're an anomaly to me. So I'm just trying to figure out the pieces. So sophomore year, you find it again? Yes. And okay. So what part? First to become an atheist. But what is it that made, okay, so if you're an atheist and you're doing, what was it about that you thought it was a problem? Great question. So I don't think that atheism's true. I have now returned to the church. Amen. Welcome back home. Let's go. Praise God. I'll see you in the kingdom. And we're back. Gone for a little bit, but there was never a day

6:09that went by thankful. Actually, I would say there was one day. There was only one day, there was only one time. And it kind of spooked me where I didn't feel shame after I'd watch porn. There's only one time. Every other time during those five-ish years, it was an immediate internal shame, internal guilt, like as it should be. And my conscience was in pain. And so because I'm an analytic, I could never just accept that shame. So I was always, I was writing essays about porn in the midst of the addiction early on. Your teachers are like, sir. Well, no, not in school. No, no, no. I didn't have like a sub-stack. No, no. Like post-nut clarity by Nick Stubnow. Was it? For sentence, there was no clarity at all. The empty promises. All right. No, so. Let, look, all right. My dad's an inventor.

7:09His dad's an inventor. If you look up William Stumpauser in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, my dad, his dad, and his dad all have patents. Like collectively have like 50, it's like in my DNA to think about things, to build things. I can't help but do that. And so even in the midst of having gone from a Catholic, serving mass six days a week on the altar, six days a week serving mass, to an atheist writing like dozens and dozens and dozens of essays about why God didn't exist. And like handing them out to my friends at Catholic school saying, like, God's not real. Y'all are dumb. That was it at the same time, was it? It was at the same time. Was the priest not like, hey, you gotta be benched for it. No, they all were like, what do you, you gotta, yeah. So you're giving blessings. And as soon as it wraps, you're in the parking lot. You're like, can I talk to you for a second? No, I actually, I stopped serving mass. Okay, so it wasn't at the same time. Well, it was for a little bit.

8:09There was a little overlap there. And then I was like, I can't do this anymore. So I told the chaplain, told my parents, it was like a big thing in this tiny little cap. How did your family address this? It wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't good. Yeah, it's not fine. It's fractious, you know. I mean, dude, it's extremely hard to raise your children in the church and then watch them drift away. It is possibly the worst pain a man could go through. Okay, so please, sign in a rupture. No, no, you're good. I think it's your show. Yeah. Yeah. Thank God, or I'd be really in trouble here. So, okay, let's pick it up from what, okay, so just so I can never end. When was it a problem? When did you realize it was a problem? I mean, immediately. But what was it? Because again, like when I stopped it, the reason why I stopped it was because I, when I asked, when I brought it to God's feet and for him to change me, inside he gave me wisdom to understand these women and the position that they're in. Because as a Christian, my get out of jail free card with him

9:11was like, well, they did it. I'm just a stand by witness. Yeah, I'm watching it. But then I realized that I'm feeding into it. And it's also, it's the same sin, performing it and watching it's the same sin. That's why I had to take a back seat and I got to step in and heal me from it. Okay. What is your, like, hey, this is what I was at a health thing. Was it a focused thing? What was it? Okay, I understand the question now. It was, so again, this was, I was probably around 21, 22. It was about six years ago, Ish. And I distinctly remember, at the time I didn't know why, but I had sort of like a moment of ringing clarity about what my future marriage would look like, what I wanted it to look like. And I was not married. I got married almost two years ago. Yeah, congrats. Thank you. And in that moment, one evening, I just recognized like the type of sex that I wanted to have, the type of love that I wanted to have,

10:12type of friendship that I wanted to have, the type of family and the relationship with my children, never before at age 21, 22 did I like have a picture of that in my mind. For some reason, I was able to like, just sort of paint it. And then immediately became aware, like, consuming photography is like, indirect violence to that. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I ripped the fruits from it. And that was it. That okay, so your fear was like, I'm not gonna have a good marriage. Yeah, but it was specific. It wasn't just like a vague, hay porn hurts marriage. It was like the thing that I deeply, deeply crave to have with my wife in the future. The thing that I was looking for in photography, that I think everyone's looking for in photography. I am a big advocate of saying this. Lust is misplaced love. That's it. And that's why I don't condemn. And that's why I love Phillips Anthony Mitchell and he says, you guys judge the stripper, but you should be pursuing her to leave the pole and come into the pulpit. Like we want them to go from the pole to the church.

11:12Because they, especially with like addicts, for example, addicts, they have a condition of unforgivable love. They'll always go back to it. No matter how bad it destroys them, they'll go back, there's a love. So that's why a lot of addicts, a lot of people that deal with, they actually could go to a level with God that some of us that never had that problem can't get to. Also, my dad, when I was younger, he had a liquor store. So they would sell everything, alcohol, blah, blah, blah. But another thing they did was there was like dirty magazines and all this nonsense. And one time my dad caught me, just talking about it, not in the act, just to talk about it. And in my brain, I'm like, well, he sells it, he gets it. Guys and guys, and my dad, I'll never forget him. I looked at me, he said, if you let this poison into your home, your marriage is gone. And that stayed with me, because my dad was never one to like put his finger in my face and teach me. He was more like, touch the fire, but he see what happens. But with, he was like, I don't know if it stemmed

12:15from like something he struggled with, or maybe he saw somebody struggle with, but when he looked into my eyes, it was very much like, don't mess around. This is not something you don't want to mess around and find out with. I obviously ended up messing around. Yeah. And through the grace of God, I wanted to say this. I just want to fast forward, because the way you get out of your struggle, it's to each his own. The way God gives grace is different. So I'm like, I sit here and like, tell you, stop. But I will say this, I don't know this one's really crazy, but the significance that my life has entered into the realm of peace and understanding when I got rid of photography. And again, I know I'm bringing you along, sorry I'm this journey. But. That's okay, always. When it was the, actually it was, I think it was like the first year of us dating. It was really young, like seven years ago. I attacked the problem and the gift that I got back from it was, okay, this is the best way I could put it,

13:15because I'm trying to make it seem understandable. If you continue with photography, your marriage sex life would be weakened, and the devil got you distracted, and it will corrupt the home. If you let go of it, this sex is truly a gift from God. If you use it in the way that God attended it, and dog, there's no song, no movie, no dance, that could describe what good sex feels like. Shame sex is good. Shame sex. Imagine righteous sex. It is over the moon. I wish I could write a song about it, but I know I wouldn't do it justice. The reason I highlight this is because I want kids that are in teenage years, or in college years, to be like, let me just get out of my system, and you're not getting out of your system. You are training your brain that one woman isn't enough. And by the way, I don't mean to be graphic, but you skip the positions, so you find the position that you want. Then you stop, you pause, you open up another. Your brain is desensitizing itself to sex. So when you're in the moment of making love to your wife,

14:15you're just, you're over it. It's bland. It's like somebody shoving down your favorite ice cream, but too much down your throat to the point where you get sick of it, and you're like, oh, I don't even want it. And then your lust comes out of nowhere. Doesn't know that it's misplaced love. And the devil, because he couldn't destroy you, he distracted you up until you destroyed yourself. Does that make sense? Yeah, my job. Okay, yeah. This is the best way I could describe it. What you're doing, bro, this mission that you're on, it is so serious and impactful. It's something that's too uncomfortable for the government and the churches to get involved in. And it's sad. It's sad. That's what was really sad is because I went to a Catholic school and every guy was another guy's accountability partner and it didn't work. Yes. We literally had these group meetings of guys after school, talking about how to stop watching. It didn't work. Of so sound, dude. I'm trying so hard not to laugh, but I hear my brain. I just, that's such a, did you, you didn't do it?

15:16Oh, Todd. And then he's like, actually, go, oh, dude. It was so fast. I look great as this. High school, all three. That's high school. By the way, that's a good thing. I think my brain only goes to that. Yeah, I think it's pretty honorable in a school. This was even a topic brought up to the point where, you know, guys that age were like, all right, guys, like let's try and help each other out. But it was so sad, you know, because there was a guy who came to speak at our school and he's kind of a legend in the space. Jason, ever it. And it's why Chris Daly and I, if you haven't talked to them, I highly recommend speaking with them. It expert in this field? Yeah, in Chacity. Okay. And they've traveled the world and they speak to students. They came to speak with us as freshmen or sophomore year. And I remember watching him speak, feeling convicted. And then I don't know if it was like a, you wrote a little prayer card or something or whatever, but basically I was just like, yeah, like I need help with this. And like me and every other guy and every other girl, it's like 95% of men and 87% of women. We don't really talk about that.

16:17Like women struggle with this a lot too. Yeah. And, but I know, I know just because the guys we talked to each other, we were all like, yeah, we know we need that. We need that help. But it was in the midst of my struggle and all of these other men who are struggling, like I couldn't help but try to analyze like, why are we struggling? And it seems obvious like, well, because it's a drug, because it's addictive, because it feels good, because like sex is attractive. It's like, yes, but like, why are we struggling? Why is there a struggle? And so after I had that sort of vision of what my marriage would be like and I stopped porn basically cold turkey, two years went by and then I had this idea, I'm going to bed one night and I just asked the question, what would I have paid such that self control was never part of that conversation. Which again, is like the difference. First, like it's the inverse of what we were doing in high school, which was how do you grow in chastity? No, I think chastity is great. Everyone should grow in chastity. You have to have chastity and marriage, which is kind of a confusing thing.

17:20But you and I, we have a custody of our eyes. We don't lust after other women's wives. We strive not to. That's what God calls us to do. It's like chastity is good. And it gets, like, you know what happens when you invite the Lord and He gives you wisdom that sometimes you don't want. Have you ever had that? Have you ever had like, man, I didn't know about that before and I was like, no, I have to sit there and think about it. And that, that, that, I think the prayer that you were talking about when you were like, oh, he gave us a prayer card. I think that was kind of like a very big step. Because I think inviting the Lord in is like regardless of what, like even shift, right? I think shift is a tool, but I think the Lord is what actually blesses it. Absolutely. I want to say this. I want people to get on the shift idea. Because there's so much blessings that come after the obedience of Christ. My buddy Tim, his name is Tim Yuchana and he said something to me the other day. And I was like, whoa, I got like goosebumps, not my neck. And I said, whoa, whoa, that's interesting.

18:21Because we were talking about this. And I said, you know what, when I asked God, hey, heal me from this situation, he made me a busy man. All of my dreams came to my hands. So I had to get to work. And then I had so much beauty in my hands that like now I'm like, can I sin with the hands that he just blessed me to do these things? And that's when it started kind of getting on my heart. And I was like, yeah, now I'm just too busy. And I made a joke about it. I go, now I'm just too busy. Because honestly, the times that I struggle is obviously when my wife is around me. But when I'm alone and I have nothing to do. And I said this to him. I said, honestly, I don't ever have problems anymore. But I realize that I can't be alone. Because that's when my mind goes, oh, what can I do? What can I do? And I make a joke. I mean, what can I do? If I got nothing to do, I do myself. That's the joke. And then he sets me, and this is what changed me. He says, idle hands is a devil's playground. And I always like. Whoa, bro. If you're not doing God's will, you're going to be doing your own will. And to me that shifted my point of view completely.

19:24So I would love to see kids activating on this shifting. Now, so say there's a kid out there. He's not going to tell his friends. He's very quiet about it. Is this a public thing like is that a social media thing where other people are going to be like, oh, he's on shift right now? Because dude, some people are quiet about fixing their problems. They're not trying to go out to everybody and tell them what they're doing. So is it a private matter? Yeah, I designed it to be private. Talk to me about the program from beginning to end. Yeah. I have an issue. Where do I start? So, after I asked that question, how do I remove self-control, that started to build like the product architecture. Because I had to approach it differently. But basically, I needed to do is make it so that this thing was a different thing. Because right now, this thing can access anything. And so I want to make it access half of what it currently can. How do I change it? Well, they don't want you to change it. They want this to be a completely free device to do anything, to find anything.

20:26And they make it so hard to change it. And so when I started asking some people, like, I need it to do this. For example, I needed to be unremovable. So when you put shift on the phone, you can take it off. But if you put the blocker on, after three days, if you click a little button, you will make it permanent. And by permanent, I mean permanent. I mean, like, you can't get on the phone, period. You would have to go out and purchase a new phone. Which is like, so if you go to our Instagram page, there's a sex addiction counselor in Lithuania, who I had a Zoom call with, because he was like, I want to tell you about how I'm using this. I'm using this with my clients. We're talking like clinical sex addicts, not high school students. And he's like, the content filter was so strong in order for my guy to relax, who went out and bought a new smartphone. Whoa. So you can't even just like cancel your subscription. It's free. Oh. What if you delete your apps and then you re-download them? Dude, dude.

21:27Dude, the kingdom of God, all the people at work, they're like, let's get to work. And then the devil's like, yeah, but how much is it going to cost though? So that was the logic. Yeah, dude, that's kind of crazy. That was the logic. Well. So shift has two offerings, a doom scrolling blocker, which we can get to eventually. And a book unpacked that for sure. And porn blocker. And at first, I didn't know about the second one. It was not even a thought in my mind to stop doom scrolling. I didn't even really know it was a problem. We're talking like 2021-2022. All I wanted to do was build a world's best porn blocker. And so I set out to do that. And I discovered a mechanism, technically invented a mechanism, that borrow some old and some of it's completely new, that nobody had done before, to block photography. And then by total accident, realized, wait a second, we can also block doom scrolling, better than anybody else. You also can't get around it. So like, Opal is a really big screen time blocker or whatever. Like, you can just delete the app. Like you just said, like, what if you just delete the app?

22:28Well, with us, you can't just delete it. And so I was like, wait, this is two separate products here. And when the app blocker, the distraction blocker, started to get traction, I was like, blockers free. The drugs free. God forgives our sins for free. If there is even a 99 cent paywall on this thing, people will not use it. Or they'll use it a thousand times less. Yeah. Those like blockers free. That's cool. So about three or four months ago, we released it. And now we have like, 6,500 people. I pray he keeps going up. This is really, really good for parents. Because I want to talk to you about the self-control thing. I would like to play devil's advocate a little bit. Yeah. Because I know I'm not trying to throw softball pitches. But before we get into the debate for children, bro, listen, I think I used to always make jokes with my wife. My kid ain't touching a phone until like, I need him to have a phone for me.

23:30That increased dramatically when I saw just iPad kids at restaurants. I think we're going to unpack that trauma in the next 10 years. I think people are going to realize that the fast updates, the moving this, but then when they hit reality, and when I see these videos of people screaming and losing their minds, it's because of this. That's a whole different conversation. The pornography is on the rampant. It is going crazy. In fact, there's a website that got banned from Arizona because they didn't want to put an adrestriction on it. No. Yeah. They were just going to let anybody click on it? They literally pulled it out of the state because they're like, no, because they're literally trying to chase children. If you don't think that the demonic realm is ownership of the city, you got to get your hand out of the sand. That's crazy. That's crazy. But can I say something though, just a quick about that. All those other adrestriction websites, all you have to do is click your 18. Yes, I'm 18. If a child has a phone, and I knew that this app existed, before he even puts in his

24:31iCloud information, shift is downloaded in the iPhone. Because I'm not going to let the world teach my child something when I'm gone. And here's another thing that I realized. One is not just like, hey, they have to go to the website anymore. Now there's people on Instagram promoting it. People on YouTube promoting it. There's people on Minecraft promoting it. It is creeping into the depths of all socials. So putting this on your child's phone and having that reassurance, they're like, hey, when they're in their room, I know they're not dabbling in things that only adults should be looking at in their own way, being like, yes or no. So for children, it's great. I really, really appreciate it. But how much is this helping when it comes to self control? Where does the Holy Spirit come and actually help the man? Because here's the problem. You and I chose to either, I don't know, you were in atheists, but I chose to follow Jesus through the fruits of that, if him being the vine. My fruits grew the, the, the, I don't need this in my life anymore.

25:35I need to have a little bit more self control. I, I welcome God in it. He ironed me out. He strengthened me. Is this kind of removing their ability to practice that? Is, okay, we take it off of their phone. Are they going to use that, that practice in other behaviors in other situations? Do you get what I'm saying? Absolutely. It's my favorite question. Okay. It's literally the question I've been wrestling with for four years since I created this. Has anyone ever asked you this on a podcast? Yes. Oh, good. Okay. Well, and well, a little bit, a little bit. A little bit, no, no, a little bit. It's, it was something that like I was wrestling with because I was like a my a weak man. For, for developing a tool like this, am I a weak man? Should I not just David Goggins my way through this? Who's going to row the boats? Who's going to row them? Yeah. George. Who's going to row them? We've rode enough for this. I'm tired. But I'll flip it on you. So St. Paul says that marriage is in part, it's not the sole reason, but it is in part

26:42the remedy for concypacins, right? Yeah. Yeah. You don't have self control, get married. Right. Yeah. It is better to get married than to have the heart burn with passion, have the heart burn with love. Okay. So like, are we weak men if we get married so that we can direct this true arrows, this good thing toward one woman and produce life and love? I can't be, it can't be the case. And would you ever look at a marriage and say, well, this is a tool for weak man. It's like, no, it's a grace. We're weak. We're broken. And I think, and I'm not saying that you're being prideful, but the core of that question is pride. The core of the question is saying, well, shouldn't really I be able to do this on my own? It's like, you and I both know it is everything if we did it on our own would be evil. And the only thing that we do that is good is because of Christ's grace. A million percent. So that is the reason why I asked the question is because I mean, I struggle with pride a lot, a lot. But I don't think that question came from pride. It came from like, I want to make sure that what I'm pushing men to do will heal the

27:48sin rather than like cut the roots rather than let's put some bandages on these fruits. Sure. So that's where I'm coming from. Absolutely. Because what I don't want to do is enable this man into not going into that relationship with Christ to heal the problem. Put it upon himself to be like, I'm going to add these blockers and I'm going to take it and God's like, I haven't fixed your heart yet. So you're still going to have that will. But you're saying this is a step towards that. Which I actually do agree because I believe that when you practice something, you become it. That's why the algorithm is the way it is. It's not because it figured out a way. It figured us out. It figured out how our brain works. How God created us. So that's why God says that your eyes are the windows of your soul. Whatever your eyes are on is good. It will become good. If it's bad, it'll become bad. It also tells you to flee from sexual sin. So I'm just thinking a lot. I'm just asking questions. I know. But this is the core of it because people will tell us we'll just put your phone down. They say this in the Instagram comments.

28:49I can't believe you're selling a Doom scrolling blocker. Like, porn blocker's free. But for the Doom scrolling, they're like, just click the button on the side of your phone. It's like, okay. Let's just take a step back here and think about the pride contained within that. So I talked about this with Matt Frad. Many centuries ago, there was a Saint Anthony desert hermit. And he went out into the desert to be a hermit. I guess that's what they do. And pray. And his mission was sort of combating lust. And the queen of Shiva appeared to him naked. And allegedly, she's supposed to be very beautiful. And that was sort of his final temptation was to withstand that. And when I heard this, when my friend told me about this Saint, I was like, I was dealing with that at 11. I had no virtue. I had no practice of virtue. My will was weak. I was not formed. I had no relationship with Christ.

29:51And you want me at 11 or young boys and young girls at eight to have the same level of continents in virtue that a saint had after practicing that like a monk centuries ago. You're going to give these kids a couple billion hours, two billion hours a month of pranagraphy or consume. Let's just give kids that in 4K on their phones at all times and then ask of them to have saintly virtue. It's nonsense. That is such a well thought out answer. It also not to be like corny or joking, but what women wear on a regular basis now, compared to what that gentleman was like fling from, he would have died. Like if he just walked around. So like, I mean that is real. No, that's real. I mean, think about. So what has to happen, unfortunately, it's not female empowerment, which might sound

30:53obvious to us. To us. But then it is, it's my body, my choice. It's always that, by the way. But think about it this way. Here's the syllogism. Here's the breakdown. If you're a woman and you want to be regarded as beautiful by a man and you want to capture his attention, specifically, sexually, you want to draw him in. It's actually in your best interest if both you and all women agree that we're going to dress a certain way that somewhat levels the playing field. But what happened was this race to the bottom where you can walk into Chipotle and see a woman wearing skin tight clothing that leaves nothing to the imagination and all women are like that. And so what happens in the male mind and the male heart is one or two things has to happen. Whether constant public arousal doesn't happen or the de-sexualization of the female form,

31:53which is what happened. So now we walk around in public and we see half naked women and it does nothing. The female form does nothing. And so what has to fill that void is not just porn, but extreme porn, but endless porn. And then it goes so far that you have only fans because the thing that's missing from pornography is connection. And so we don't just want the body. We also want that body to find us interesting. So we're going to pay for that. And you know it's even worse than that? You're not even talking to her. Now you're talking to an interesting tape on a wireless keyboard. I don't want to get into that. I already got it on that one time. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I already got smoked for that. I'm staying out of that completely. I'm so sorry. That's okay. No, but I know tons of women, I'm friends with, that are in the adult film, and I'll let people look, how dare you? Put down your rocks.

32:53There's a parable about this. Yeah. So I'm hanging out with these females that they behave this way. And they smile at me and they say, yeah, but I don't talk to them. And I was like, what? And I walk into their house. Oh no. And there is a table full of 15 individual males, not females, smiling and typing back. To me, dog. God of mercy. Listen, to me, I've never, like when I was young, I think, I don't know if any of you guys are like this, but there was some type of shame when you watched, you know what I mean? Like you would close the windows, lock the door, play music, pray to God, nobody knows you're about to do what you're doing. But to message them personal things and then a man's on the other end, laughing and sending you things back, taking your money. And taking your money to me, it's like, whoa, bro, it's getting, it's getting show shameless. It beyond it. Before it was shameless.

33:54Before when I used to work at a liquor store with my dad, shocker, Middle Eastern guy at a liquor store. But they would have these posters on the walls for Budweiser and Corona. And I would get so excited when the beer guys would come and they, we got a new poster. Dude, my heart, I remember my heart would flutter when I was watching them and I would be like, there's no way these women exist, you know? And I would look at them. That to me, I could probably see 15 of those pictures before I go to the bathroom to pee in the middle of the night if I'm on my phone. The eight is, that is what, and I hope, I don't disrespect anybody when I say this, but that's how I see women getting coffee now at a Starbucks. They dress like that that used to sell for sexual, like, sexualizing beer and stuff like that. So at what point are we going to be like, hey guys, we're headed towards a really bad place. Where is this going to go? The vehicle hasn't stopped. Have you seen the study that showed that in 2007 after the iPhone came out, the replacement

34:57rate, the fertility rate dropped from 2.1 to 1.67? It's like, shh. Like this sterilized the next 19 years of people. So what is it that did that? Because they're not having sex. So there was, there was somebody that just recently told me that for mammals or animals to not poke, create, you have to abuse them. You have to really, really, really abuse them. For them to be like, yeah, I don't want to do this. pornography sexual assault. So there you go. So what is abusing us to a place where we don't want to do that? Is it because there's so, I was thinking about this other day. My point of view was the next best thing. As in like, you're watching every single, like, it's like a FOMO. Like, okay, well, if I have this girlfriend now, but every time I refresh, there's a new one. So my brain was like that. I feel like people are so spoiled now. We're all like kings on a throne. And we have more power in our right hand on our phone than legitimate kings in England

36:02or like in any type of royalty. Now we have it and we're sitting on our throne and we're just like, no, no, yes, I'll have it for a little bit and I'll get rid of her. Is this what's causing it or is do you think it's strictly pornography? That's like just destroying. No, it's the whole package. Okay. Which is kind of eventually does tail into the doom scrolling side of things too, but the hypergamous mindset that you just brought up, I think can be the psychology term, pop-psych term would be a hedonic adaptation. I don't know if you heard the hedonic treadmill. What does that mean? So you spend your whole life thinking, once I make $5,000 a month, I'll be happy and you make that and then your quality of life improves and you're like, it's got to be $25,000 a month and you make that and eventually it's like, I got to be a multi-millionaire and then you make that and all of a sudden you're buying super yachts with flying to Epstein Island because none of it's enough. None of it's enough. Whoa, whoa. Great. You just have to slide that in there and maybe like I didn't pick it up.

37:05There's no more. I put it all in there. Oh, perfect, Norris. Dude, you just nailed it. You just nailed it for me. We point our fingers at the Jeffery Epstein. Those sickos. We point at P. Diddy. Now could you do that? And then we see all of these people that have this unlimited amount of power and wealth, they get bored and they want to do other things. Is this the game plan? Is this what they're trying to do to desensitize us to the place where sin is not even sin anymore? It's just... Breathing. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, well, the research bears this out that like the longer you watch the worst the categories get, the more violent they get, the more sadistic they get, the more... The more watch hours you log of, the worse those hours are going to become in terms of what you're watching. The digital understanding. The niches and things like that. Yes, we're talking it's going to go from heterosexual consenting adults to stuff that we shouldn't say on YouTube. And the more hours you watch, the more likely you are to get there.

38:08And again, I'll censor myself about where that goes. But anyone can do this research. Where that goes and what happens to the people who watch it and the probability increase of gender dysmorphia or self-mutilation or harming other people sexually or starting to watch things with people who will just say who are not consenting and who are not of age, all the probability of that stuff goes up the longer you watch that. And so, like, yeah, we... So they're itching, they're itching is like moving a goalpost. Well, yeah, because you can't... It's the hedonic treadmill. You can't get the same pleasure out of the same stimulus. Have you heard of the Coolidge effect? So they studied mice with this where a single partner for the male mouse would engage sexually with the female mouse and then everything was fine, but he would lose interest kind of asymptotically, very quickly.

39:11But if you reintroduced a new female mouse, he would continue to have sex with that mouse until he died. Like, he would have sex to death because the stimulus was always new, new woman, new female, new female, new female. And he would just basically burn himself all the way out. So it is the novelty that is what drives it. It's the slot machine of pornography. It's the fact that there is always new, different porn. But you have to you have to batch it by category because it can't just be a different female. Maybe it has to be two females. Maybe they have to be relate. I'm sorry, I don't mean to get graphic. I don't know what you guys want to keep or cut out, but I'm just saying like, everybody knows these categories exist out there. And then you start either adding performers or changing the relationship between them, changing the ages, changing the circumstances until you get, because you have to keep finding new ways to get that stimulus. Well, it's already deviant. It falls off a cliff the longer you do this.

40:13It's like the shock factor. Something shocks you, you get desensitized, you need something that shocks you more and more and more. And I think that this goes back to when you were talking about, you know, having these regulations, right? I think it's building that habit because it's your environment. You know, they say like, you might get the seed planted or the Holy Spirit, but your environment is what's going to grow it, right? You go in a church, you having friends, you think it's going to grow your seed of faith. So I feel like it's the same thing for sin where that environment of being enrobed in that, right? Just keeps growing it and growing it and growing it. I will say this, what you practice becomes who you are. That's it. And I'm not going to ask you, I'll pull myself out to dry. I failed like every once in a while since the time that I was like, hey, I'm not watching. And I know it's not sick, but I've praised God over it because when I failed, I would realize the separation of failure. When I was younger, I could watch photography for hours. And like in my brain, I was like, oh, this is normal. Then it would be like, oh, right, I'm an adult now. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this.

41:14So I would slip every once in a while. And then I cut it out completely. I think the last time I fell when I was on just the homepage, not even clicking a video, dude, my heart was racing as if I was a little boy at a strip club and I did not know what was going on. So I practiced the type of behavior and I'm growing those type of fruits. When somebody gets so numb to it and don't want to check themselves, I think this is where you were saying they could grow to other things where in their mind, five years ago, they didn't even think they would ever go in that direction. Do you mind if I use that example that you gave and reframe the question about self-control and shouldn't I develop this sort of virtue? If I may be so bold, yeah, please. Wouldn't it be better to just say, I am still insufficient?

42:16But I love my wife so much that I'm going to change this thing so that it can never happen again. And I'm too weak to do it on my own. I think I'm never one to not ask for help. So I would never take it off the table. Like if this is something that got put in my heart like, hey, you know, I don't want you even slipping one time out of six months, I don't want to completely out of the table. Then, yeah, but I think for me, now this is not for everybody, I have a lot of wealth. So if I had this block made, it would take me a minute to get this guy to go get me a new phone. So I think it would be above my blockage. To me, an iPhone would not even, I would just flick my wrist and by the end of the day, I would have that there. So it would cost me money. Sure. But at this point in my life, because I'm trying to serve God as a leader, I want to embrace my failures and take notes.

43:17Definitely. Well, I think that's actually a really good sort of pushback because this isn't, I would say this is not in favor of business, but I would say nobody needs my product. I think that your product is very important. I think, but in my line of work right now, I ask God to let me absorb the suffering. Not that I'm willing to just walk in, but every time I've ever failed, what hurts me more than this blockage is I do go to my wife and tell her. And that shame dog and that broken of like, Hey, as a man, I failed you. I try to give you my word and I could it. That to me in my line of work, I hate myself out to dry, trying to be a good leader of God. I need to know what this is going through. This is why I had Juanda because I do believe that your product is, like, for example, if I had a child, 100% honest phone. Of course. So I don't think that it's not something that I would not use. I'm just saying right now, I'm in the season of my life of knowing that I'm going to hit the ground, absorbing it, taking notes,

44:21understanding it in a way where that God willing one day when I'm at the master of it, I could talk to all forms of life through it and not tell them, no, I don't know what you're talking about. Sure. Well, I think like to whom much is given, much is expected. Yeah. But that's just me being super honest. And I don't want to be disrespectful. No, no, no, you're not at all. Again, like, I didn't need it because I stopped watching two years before we started building it and four years before it existed. And people were quitting pornography without blockers, without software, without accountability groups, without anything, because Jesus Christ chased them down and said, I want you and they complied with that. Amen. And that will always happen. And also, like, in our suffering, what was made for bad, God makes for good. Absolutely. So I think that you and I are in a place right now where we should use it, but I don't need it. Like, it isn't in my mind or heart like that. And to be honest, it's, she's actually called me doing this a lot.

45:23I like kind of mute some of my friends now, because I'm like, dude, I can't watch what you're watching. You know what I mean? So I'm at a point now where on Instagram, I don't like to scroll because I went from, this sounds so uncomfortable, say this. No big deal. Then it was a big deal. Then I solved it. Now that door is kind of like any other sin for me. It's like if I'm like, eating, gluttony or something like that where I'm like, trying to, there's nothing that I've mastered. I always still have to make sure I'm on top of it. So I don't want to make it seem like it's not there. But now in a new chapter of my life, I'm trying to help women understand like you don't need to dress yourself that way. You're so much more valuable because you're a child of God. So my heart in my mind's position, I don't think it's a tool that I necessarily need right now. But if I did say right now if I was super honest with you like, yeah, dude, actually like once a month, I'm slipping or once a week, I'm slipping. And you know, I'm tired of that. I would one million percent download that app because you're right. It would be a prideful thing. It would be me saying, God, I know I'm hurting you, but I got this.

46:25It's like at what point are you going to come up and slap your wife a million times and be like, don't wear it. I'm working on it. It's like, dude, dude, figure it out. Yeah. And so respectfully at this point, I truly, and I would be honest, I don't need it in my life. But if I did, yes, I would take it and not be prideful. So two things. One, we filter Instagram. For that exact. Yes. Okay. So are you talking about doom scrolling or? No, I'm talking about the modesty on Instagram. Whoa. So what you were doing manually. That's why my engagement has been going down. All right. So talk to me about this. So like, how does it filter out? Like, what is it? Is it like, and I don't mean to be joking about this. This is an actual question. If a girl's cleavage is out, yeah, you won't see it. Well, what if it's her talking about a coffee? Tough luck. Put on more clothes and talk about the coffee. Eee. So is there like this AI tool that is able to just scan stuff all? Yeah. Yeah. So basically what happens is we route,

47:27we swap out the Instagram app with a, what's called the progressive web app. You can barely tell the difference, but it's not the Instagram app. It just looks and feels like it. Has the same logo, you log in, you scroll, you like, you go to the explorer page. It's all there. But it passes through us first. And so we have a model that, not like a super model, we have like a AI model. And it's dressed and it's fully clothed in a hijab. No, fully clothed model. And it's observing first and saying like, hey, is this going to cause anyone to fall? That's it. Because something else that like the competitors never did is they didn't understand what it was like to be a 15 year old or 20 year old guy with Instagram where that was the start. You're like, I'm having a good day. I'm strong. I'm scrolling. Oh, okay. I didn't expect to see that. Let me go to her profile. And then all of a sudden your explore feed or your main feed

48:27becomes curated. Yeah. And now you're seeing that half the time and then 75% of the time. And then basically every time you open up your phone, there it is. And all of a sudden the next thing that you're doing is going for the real thing. So I knew I had to stop it right at the beginning. So we filter Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest, Instagram. So do you have to sign in to everything or is it once you put it on your phone or put it on your device? Like is it hard? Is it annoying to do it? Or is it like, how does it work? So you install shift on your phone from your computer. Okay. And then after that it's all wireless. And then it's set. It's right to rock. Yeah. So then you turn on app filtering if you want it. So you don't have to either. What happens? Wait, you could do add filtering? App. And then okay, so here's my other question. Is there any bugs where it would like, because you said you couldn't get it off of your phone? Yeah. Is so like, for example, if I don't update Instagram. We can.

49:28We can. If you have a problem, like I got to sell my phone or like, this is blocking a website and it's like, there's nothing bad on it, but I really need to get on it and like, you just, you just, you message us, we'll take care of you. You're like, man, we only get messages at like 12 o'clock in the night. So, but here's the thing. Here's the thing. We're pretty skeptical because people lie. Oh, wow. People will email us and say, I'm direct, quote, I'm traveling in Europe right now. I need to download some apps. Can you please take this off? Next email. I lied to you. I'm sorry. Oh, so like, do you shame them? They ring a bell. Shame. Shame. We're Catholic. We're not that Catholic. Roping me back into this. I got cancer both of those people. Yeah. So we're discerning with like, when we turn it on and turn it off for people, but basically from the phone, from the phone you can. And that's also true with the app locker as well. So if somebody says,

50:28there's something that's been on my heart. And I feel like this is the episode that I want to talk about. And it's kind of, it doesn't have to do with shift, but it's, it could, shift could prevent it. Okay. Um, when the Jeffrey Epstein stuff came out, everybody was like, we need to know what they did. We need to know what they did. We need to know what they did, right? Okay. We should. If they're doing something like kidnapping kids and do all that stuff, definitely lock them up. But I took a step back and I was like, this is kind of how the devil works. He puts something on your table. You don't want it. It gets you interested in it. You finally cave in. Then you do it and then he goes, whoa, I can't believe you piece of shit did that. And then I realized, oh my god, this is what PORF he's doing to people. There is going to be a time. I don't know when. I don't know how, but there's going to be a time where a certain website is going to blackmail their audience. There's going to be doctors and attorneys and there's going to be surgeons.

51:30There's going to be people that are maybe even gay that haven't come out. There's people that are doing illegal things and they'll visit them and be like, hey, we need you to do this for us. And the blackmail is going to be at a whole different ballgame. And I think. I'm not know this is where you were going with that. Yeah, I think what's happening is that they're programming you. They're letting you do it. And then once they let you do it, this is a sick, even darker thought. I think they're recording you do it. And I think that's where the blackmail comes from. And then if they can't even record you see you have a camera block you, I think there's audio. And I think they're going to get you to a place, especially now with AI. So for example, you say a word like I said the F word. The AI will be like, when did he say it? How did he say it? When did he say it? What point was he saying it? And what was he saying it for? And then within one second, AI is going to pull out every time you've watched a certain thing or done a certain thing. And then they'll say, now put me together something that he never wants anybody to see. Then within one second, they're going to have a look, whatever they need,

52:30they're going to email it to you and they're going to say, paypal us this. Or we're putting this out on it. Well, if they didn't have the idea, you just gave it to them. By the way, they're going to do it through PayPal. They can 100% already do that. They're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I thought about this years ago. Years ago, I was like, that's actually kind of the reason why I stopped doing it. There was like a lot of fear in my neck. And God was like, hey, they're going to hold this against you. They're going to see it. And I literally said it a lot. I was like, how are they going to know? And before AI, before any of this stuff, there's just like a few years ago, like God put it in my heart, they're like, you don't know, they're collecting stuff on everybody. Not just me, on everybody. They could totally already do that. You want to do that? I really, I think they do. I have a little bit of proof of that, though, if you want. Oh, you got some tea. I didn't give them that idea. I got to tell so guilty, which is that? I said, I'll imagine I'm like, stop, stop. I said, they don't want to do that. Right? This is what I'll say you do.

53:32So I have two bits of proof for that. One is, I wish I could prove it all the way on this podcast. But it's coming soon. I'm running the tests right now, which is that the amount of information that the social media companies are mining from your phone at all times, whether the apps are open or closed, whether your phone is on or off in the room or not. As soon as you, if Susan downloaded an app and say, do I accept these terms? But I can prove it. So I started running, basically, network logs, like traces on what packets of information are coming to and from the phone. And then when you shift the phone, does that stop? And the answer is yes. Oh. So that's, but I don't want to just say that and not back it up. I'm working on basically a presentation to show that your privacy and your personally identifying information, the things that you're saying around your phone,

54:33the camera on your phone is always listening. And when you shift your phone, I think it stops. Like, the early data shows that we basically stop there. Oh. But here's a crazy story. So my wife was putting our daughter down and feeding her to sleep. And so she was on her phone. And we have a baby monitor and that uses infrared light. So the room is completely dark to our eyes, but it shines in infrared lights that you can see on the baby monitor. And so anybody can do this right now. You don't have to buy a baby monitor. Just look up YouTube videos of this. This is like a scary story. I know. Like, oh, brother, this sounds terrifying already. When you unlock your phone, there's a little thing right there. Yeah. And it takes about five pictures in like a second. Yeah. And it's identifying that it's your face and it locks the phone. Yeah.

55:33So she's, you know, I watch her, she lays down, put in the David's sleep and she's scrolling and she's scrolling. And like every three seconds it takes another picture, but her phone's unlocked. And it just keeps taking pictures. And I'm seeing the flash on the infrared camera. I'm like, oh, yeah, re-unlocking your phone. Like what's going on? So like 15 minutes later she comes back out and I was like, what were you doing on your phone? She's like, I was just on Facebook. Why is Facebook taking a picture of your face? I think I figured that out. I heard from somebody that they're seeing in real time if you enjoy the content you're watching. Oh, that's what it is. Dude, so they are recording it all times. Mm-hmm. Well, that's how you literally all think of something. I will literally think of a product. And then I get an ad for it. Yeah. And I'm like, I didn't even say this. They see how you're reacting to things and you can put together what your next stop's going to be because they know you. There was this kid that was on drugs hanging out with me once. It's pretty way to start ascending. He randomly was like down this rabbit hole and he was saying stuff that everybody

56:37was like, oh, they're listening about what was in there. But then he said something and it shook me to my core. He says, you're not going to believe me. What? Tell them this day, I don't know if I do. What she was right. But he says they have technology to read your mind. They only know what you're thinking before you think it. They've gotten so good with their technology and knowing where your eyes go, pattern recognition. Yeah. But with AI now, they know what you're about to say before you say it. I'm a metapublished that. They actually do. They did. Like, they actually published this site. Oh my god, bro. They actually do. So you remember John Snow or what is it? Not John Snow. I'm nervous. No, dude. That's so funny. We got to mix both those worlds together, dude. So you remember John Wick, do we? John Wick, John Snow and that other guy. What was his name? Edward Snow. Edward Snow. Is he still alive? Yeah. Okay, so he's out. He kind of like let us all know. Yeah. The government's watching you. Yeah. But that was 20, 30 years ago. But like that was a long time ago.

57:38The technology that they have now, I hope I don't spook anybody. But this is where my brain goes. They have technology to watch you. Yeah. And their brain, they develop it because it's a good idea. We got to make sure there's no terrorists. We got to make sure there's no bad people. Right? We got to make sure that these people are locked in. Fine. Say that's even true. It's not. But say it is. At what point did the bad people grab it? Yeah. They sold weapons. They sold mass destruction. Now I have this kid from Germany. That's 11 years old picking his nose. I just hacked your Snapchat. And now I'm watching your wife live streaming right now. She doesn't even know if she's live streaming. Like that's where I'm kind of getting to the place where like, when does AI or technology get so advanced that children take a hold of this and they start blackmailing each other and weaponizing each other? Oh, it happened a friend of mine. His daughter was,

58:40her face was put on AI. Wait, pornography. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. And it was circulated around the house. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. The blackmail that you're talking about is happening right now. Like a kid was able to do this to her? Like in high school, they took a photo of this girl's face, put it on pornography with AI and circulated it around high school. Oh, that's so awful. And then people thought it was real. I don't know if they did or didn't, but it was just like embarrassing. There was, I mean, that's a Taylor Swift. Did it, that's Taylor Swift? They've done that to Paris Hilton. What do you mean? Like when their nude got leaked, it wasn't really them? Correct. No, really? Well, yeah, the AI deep fakes. Oh. Okay, here's a here's a here's a here is stick that you can live by. There's a couple like in technology. One is like Moore's law. Basically, everything gets twice as powerful and half as big every couple of years. That's something you can live by with technology. Another one is that if a new technology came out,

59:40refuse the one that pioneered it. Yeah, I heard that's a real thing. Aim at processing, haptics, VR. Really? Yeah. It all like the ability to send large amounts of information across the internet and like manage that data transfer. The point industry was either the pioneer of it or the demand for it is what financed the improvement and development of that technology. I remember this because when streaming was out, live streaming, all these types of streaming, they were like way ahead of it. Oh, yeah, right. Like Catrulled, those were all live rooms way before. Yeah, and also they have infinite amount of money, bro. I remember the names of it, but they would have memberships. It wasn't always just free, like if you wanted premium, you would pay like a hefty price. And in my brain, I'm like, who the hell would pay for this when you could just Google boobies? And it's just over. But then I went to school and everybody had an account

1:00:40of something and I was like, whoa, think about this. Nowadays, now, like this is, that was 20 years ago. Nowadays, people are like subscriptions number one for money. Yeah. Back in the day, if you already figured that out, they go, oh, we'll just every month. And by the way, that alone, they were the first ones to develop technology so that way your wife didn't know. Like it would be like, oh, you're- Privacy and anonymity. Oh, all the kind of things. It's like, yeah, exactly. Interesting. Well, can I just say though, when you described, you're like, oh, now they can read your mind. And they do it by like knowing, you know, your pattern, recognition, all that stuff, you know, who that sounds like? The devil. Oh, yeah. Say it. Say it. Always try to be like God. God is all-nipotent. So the series is version of being a humnipotent. Well, you brought up something at the kind of the start of this, which I thought was very wise, which was like, should we know certain things? Do we really need to know about the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein?

1:01:41Yeah. And the very first thought that jumped into my head was like, well, which tree were we not supposed to eat of? Hmm. And so, okay, this goes back to sort of the debate about self-control. Yeah. How free, oh, I love this, how free were Adam and Eve, if they didn't have the knowledge of good and evil. And yet they walk with the Lord every day. And which is better? Which would you rather be a slave to Christ? Because all you know is him. Oh. Or free because you have consumed evil and been corrupted by it. There's a brilliant question. The answer I would say back is you're always a slave. We were designed to have a master. Yes. If it's not God, it's something else. Yes. And that's what they call it, master baiting, by the way. By the way, it's your master. And it baited you into it. I made that up by the way, that's not a real thing. But I do, I actually was talking to my friend about this in Chicago.

1:02:43I believe that's why the crucifixion was a thing. I think that we took from a tree. And God literally had to climb back onto a tree and nail himself there. That being said, in Genesis, the first question that they were like embarrassed and they were like, oh no, we're naked. And he says, who told you you were naked? I used to think of it this way. Like, oh, God was hiding information from them. Right? Look how the devil got him out. God was hiding information, but God was like, no, I did close you. And what he did to close them was to take skin off of animals and put them on. So how funny is that? God didn't sit there and judge us and say, what do you talk about? I did close you. I closed you with the skin that I put on you. But instead, he says, who told you? Who put this lie in your heart and in your mind? Well, even how Satan baited Eve, he said, God doesn't want you to be like him.

1:03:48Who told you that this will kill you? Surely you must not die. You will be like God. But by the way, I think that is when man falls. Because I truly think that everybody has their own way. Right? An entrepreneur, I have to have money, power, so my family is safe. Then he has cancer and then he realizes how he's really just a bag of blood and bones and he can't do anything. And then another man will worship his materialistic things, but then they burn in a fire. Now he has nothing. Like once a man puts his whole entire life into something that was created by God, it will die with that time. So yeah, man, this could go back and forth. I do like the fact that you're saying it's a tool to help you a self-control. Well, look, if you believe, like if you admit the fact that you have compulsive behavior by definition, you're not free. 1:04:48Right? I do what I hate. Romans, why am I doing what I hate? Okay. I was talking with my wife to two Dominicans, two Dominican monks about this. And we were both just grilling them, asking them like, are we weak? Are we failing because we're trying to set up our environment such that the right thing happens, even if we don't want to do it? And they said, well, there's three stages to a relationship with anybody, but in this case with God. The first thing that you do is you stop doing all the things that are destroying the relationship. The second thing you do is you inflame the relationship. All the good parts, you want to drum that up. And the third thing that you do is you enjoy the relationship. And it's like, okay, let's use alcohol. And you're married. And every night you drink too much. And you yell at your wife, yell at the kids, you smash a plate on the ground. The first step that you're going to do is stop drinking. The first thing you do is not dry off. You get out of the shower. And then you dry off.

1:05:49And everyone's like, no, I'm just going to do both at the same time. You can't do both at the same. Stop doing the things that are destroying the relationship, that are weakening your will, that are that are dementing your intellect, that are changing who you are because you're doing it all the time. By any means necessary, stop sitting. Stop doing the thing that's hurting your relationship. God makes it very, very, very clear. Cut off your arm. Whatever it takes. Dude, by the way, I didn't really understand that verse until we got into that type of field. Where I was like, what does he mean, cut your arm off? And then I realized, I'm like, oh my God, how many men went down a wicked path because they didn't have self-control with their hand? Does that make sense? Like, it started out with, everything that started out with a laptop. What I'm realizing is this, some people don't sin because they don't have the potential to sin it. But if they had the potential to sin that they would sin. People say that this world is so much more evil this day, I disagree.

1:06:50I don't think that this time of day is more evil. I think they just have more access. Who has more access? Humans. I think if we gave the same amount of access to 100 years ago, they'd do the same exact thing. No question. It's the heart and it's the eyes. It's the ears. What is it that I want? That's why he says a mustard seed could grow a very big tree, right? So if a mustard seed starts this small, it goes both ways. It's not just good and bad. If you plant a small seed and it grows bad fruit, you're going to get bad fruit from it. A lot of people plant these small little bad seeds and they think nothing's going to come from it. But if it grows, you will have bad fruit. So for example, with what you were saying, you watch, okay, now it's the homepage. But now it's like, that's not enough for me. Now I have to talk to the person. That's not enough for me. I need to see her. That's not enough for me. Okay, she wanted me, but now I want her who doesn't want me. It continues to grow and that's why in the beginning, he says, cut off your own. It's better to cut it off, throw it into the fire

1:07:50because what's going to grow from that if you don't have self-control, your whole body is going to go into the fire. This is why I believe in privatized regulation. Another way to say that is just love. So when I asked the question the way that I asked it four years ago, like what if self-control wasn't a problem, I think it was because I had taken several years and studied addiction psychology and I was so fed up with specifically like how the religious right dealt with. And how do they deal with it? Through finger wagging and through condemnation. In my experience, perhaps other people have had a better experience. But it was stop doing it. It was shame. And what I felt like is we were all handed AK-47s and nuclear bombs. And they're like, stop it. I dare you. And I'm like, dare I stop the bomb. I flip the question and I say, why didn't you love me enough to make sure I didn't have access to this? Why didn't you do everything in your power to make sure that I didn't have access to this?

I can't do it if it's plastered on a billboard. But I'm not going to hand her a gun. Yeah. But you know what? Not to give them grace when we were growing up. I'm a little older than you. 1:09:54I think honestly, people like Ann, Apple, and Android, they should kind of say, hey, like if you're a minor, this has capabilities to get to places that only adults should get to. So I absolutely do agree. I do want to encourage people, though, to invite the Lord and do it. They have to. They have to. I want to make sure that they know I want you to go and get shift on your phone. I want you to introduce it to your family. I want you to talk about it with loved ones. But I also don't want you to forget that the heart is never going to change unless the love of Christ and Jesus comes into your heart. When the Holy Spirit works, that's when it starts producing fruit to build an app, to go on a platform and talk about Jesus and try to help people. That only happens when you invite the Holy Spirit. Now, say you do have the Holy Spirit. Dude, you have to get up and get to work. Like if you know that you're loving Jesus and you keep letting them down every week or every day, maybe twice a day, I'm not trudging you, but this is when you go, hey God, you know,

1:10:56thank you for the ability to get this app. Oh, I couldn't afford it. Thank you for making it free. You got to take a step forward towards Jesus and Jesus will take a step forward towards you. And I think this is a great place to start, man. Yeah. How do you feel creating something like this? Invigorated every single day. Yeah. So nobody had these pictures. Then the next question is, where does this child live? Where does this child live? And guess what the mother found, her address. So if you're not at least followed by a psychopath, they're breeding psychopaths. Yeah. To be like, that is a question I should figure out for myself. Where is this little child? Where can I find more information? It's a child. I honest to God, think that technology, you know, this is what I always say. God can give you a hammer, you can build a beautiful house or you can smash somebody's head into it.

1:12:59It's in your hands, but the power that is now coming into our hands, it's very scary times, man. Well, it's very scary times. So you can't. People like to say that technology is neutral, it's morally neutral. And it's just like whatever you use it for, it's down to the human heart. And I disagree with that because I think when the human heart makes a tool, it makes it with intention. And so what technology and tools exist on a gradient of specificity. So a two by four can build a house. You could hit somebody with it. You could burn it for fire. It's a very abstract tool. A medieval torture rack does one thing. I go, you say here. And so people, I will technology is morally neutral. Is the medieval torture rack morally? What are you going to use it for cooking an omelet? You are doing one thing with this.

1:14:01And we have enough data to know what social media and to know what profi is doing. We have enough data to know the split of time that people spend on this thing. Right? It's for my generation eight and a half hours a day, five and a half hours of which is going to be specifically social media. That's the average, which means half of people are way more than that. Yeah. I have this vision, the same vision that I had years ago about them using their platforms to break, like to blackmail you. You're saying it's true. I have this new vision. And I honestly prayed about saying this because I was really scared when I had it because I was like, I don't know if I have the balls to say what I saw on my head. The devil is not going to make you a slave by making you a slave. He's willingly going to want you to be like, hey, I want to put these shackles on me. He's not going to make it forceful because then we could all unite and be like, no,

1:15:02but if he could unite us all to want to be slaves, then we would be like a hamster going into a little hamster, but then enjoy it. For example, I've already seen in the Old Testament where the Jews cry out to God. It was better for us to be slaves. So I already know that the human heart wants to be having a master. Yeah. It's either God or something else. That's clear. In this vision that I saw, it was like, dude, it was scary. Nobody was in the streets. Nobody was in the parks. Nobody were in cafes. Nobody in restaurants. Except for the wealthy. For they were living life, abundantly enjoying it while stuffing us in rooms like rats. Yeah. Where the house has got smaller and the rooms got smaller. The confinement was smaller, but the ability to jump into a program and live life virtually, they chose that over life because their avatar was better. Their life was better. They were getting more currency in that game.

1:16:03And they were eating and drinking like slops, like pigs, but eating wealthy in this false reality. And nobody was punished to do that. They were willing to do that. In fact, if they weren't allowed to do that, they would cause mass harm. And that's what I envisioned. And it was like a really wicked time, bro. I think that's actually just prophetic. It's scary, dude. Because I'll close my eyes and I see it as if I'm there, dude. It is like a... And by the way, bro, like, the policing, it's weird. It's like they got you to do it willingly. So there was no policing you. There was no like, hey, you better get back into that game. It was like, no, no, mom, please, I gotta get into that. And so they're... Okay, and then I heard a term and I was like, oh my god, and it shattered me. There was a term somebody said this a long time ago. And then now it adds up to the vision that I had. And the term was you will own nothing and have nothing and be happy. Yeah, worldly economic form. So then, where does that lead in that little tiny box?

1:17:06The virtual... By the way, I'm very happy and not suicidal. Can I... No, no, please. No, I was just gonna... It's to your point, it's like whether we choose to or not. Do you ever click on a news thing about a celebrity and you look at the comments and everybody in the comments are like, everything I've learned about this person has been against my will. Have you ever seen that? I see that a lot about like, you know. And that sentence right there is so true. When you were talking about the Jeffrey Epstein stuff, I did not know that's what you were gonna say. I thought you were gonna say there's so many things that we learned from that case that people do, that the evil that they do, that you would have never even thought was an option. And then, was it good for us to know about that? Because I bet you so many people started pondering about this, like, this evilness and now they're thinking about it, about it being like an option. So it almost taught you about this, like, this, this new option of evil that you could be a part of. You know what I mean? I disagree. I think 2020 was ironic that it was 2020 when everybody started over there, I started opening.

1:18:06I think it's good because you got to... You got... There is still normal people. There's still hell. Even people that dislike God will look at what they're doing. They're like, you know, these kids are cracked. And a lot of people came to Jesus once they saw this evil. I did. And by the... Boom. And by the way, this evil isn't new. Ball was doing this way before. Of course. Pharaoh was doing this way before. In fact, Moses was spared from this. Yeah. So this evil has been around. The reason why the devil always comes over, comes after babies is because he knows it wounds the father's heart. Yeah. It's because of the innocence behind it. And in pornography, babies that are in wounds, all of this form, it goes under my body. And what did Jesus say at the last supper? This is my mind. Yeah. So at the end of the day, everything that's anti-Christ is just on the other spectrum of where Jesus is. So this evil isn't new, but it's a glory to God that it's being revealed. Because now the sentience are being micromanaged. And now the government, we're looking at them. We need this.

1:19:07We need people to be informed. Because if they're not informed, then they're blind monkeys just doing whatever, like the people above them want them to do. Yeah. Does that make sense? I, I, somewhat, I'm somewhat between both of you. Yeah, I think both can be true. Well, it's, you know, okay. So we'll debate this after the show. But if you sleep for roughly eight hours a day and you have a job or even if you don't have a job but you have things that you do every day, you have roughly nine to 12 hours a day of free time. And my generation will spend 93% of that time looking at their phone. And when they die and they see their God and they say, let me in. Who are you? Get away from me. I never knew you. You can't put your relationship with God, your relationship with your family, the construction of a meaningful and good life in the 7% of the remaining day. In what, like 53 minutes, you're going to just like get all of that meaning in there. You're going to know your creator. It's not going to happen. You can't serve two masters. And you know it's so funny. You say this today when I was at church. I'm at the front row.

1:21:08And my wife even asked me, she goes, is it wrong that we're in the front row? It's like, should we be in the back? Is that more humble? And I said, forget that. This is the word of God. This is the bread. People pay good money to be at the front row at a basketball game. The front row at a super bowl. I'm at the front row waiting to eat the word of God and to power myself so that way I could go and implement it into my life. And I was sitting here and I was like, this right here is entertainment. Regardless of how we see it, it's entertaining us. He's preaching his entertainment. We're getting our fill. This is an altar. And then I realized so is this. And sadly, so is photography. And sadly, so is all the other things that we go to, majority of our life. If you're focusing majority on one thing, that is your master. And I'm not saying that you're going to go to hell over it because then that means I would go to hell because I'm trying not to go to these altars. I believe that Jesus saves me. It's not off of my own works. But if you're truly with God,

1:22:10you're going to be producing fruits. And if you're fruit, if you're looking at it, and you're like, man, I only produce one of these fruits. But today I produced thousands of this wicked fruit. Dude, don't be shocked that when you see Jesus, God goes, dude, I don't know who you are. I don't know who you are. I know you, obviously, that major. I know how much hair is on your head. Sure. But you never invited me into your life. Well, and what bread are you eating, everything? It's literally called a feed. If I knew about it, I would have just got shift and then just shifted my phone when I'm out with my wife and I'm having a good time. But I have a legit burner. That's awesome. Because dude, it's like, I just truly feel man that we're purposefully robbing ourselves. Like, I know this sounds really cheesy, but every time I'm outside of my wife, we went to the park yesterday. And I just laid in the grass and I just looked around and I'm watching people watching. And to me, it's the best type of entertainment. 1:33:31Then I saw another guy, he had a helicopter. But while I was off my phone, I saw the other guy getting frustrated, he couldn't get his thing. I saw the dad watching his kids with such a smile on his face, inspired me to have kids. Like, I feel like because of this, it's telling me how I should feel. Versus when I'm out and I'm unplugged, I'm like, living and understanding how I should feel. That makes any sense. Absolutely. I'm a huge fan of shift, bro. I'm a huge fan of shifts. I've, I have lost 75 pounds in drink an average of about six cans of Coca-Cola dead. I don't want you ever talking to me again. I don't want you ever talking to me again. Look at his skin. So this guy is a phenom when it comes to intelligence. His mother never drinks water, only drinks coke. Dude, come on now. If you were to combine, if you were to combine the amount of flat water, not sparkling, you know, not adding minerals, just like glasses of water that I've drank over the last six years, it would be less than five gallons. 1:38:33Listen. You don't know what you have just done, sir. But I was like, well, that's why I look fat right now. I cut my beard off. And I was like, maybe I should stop drinking coke, dude. My face looked at me and said, do you put Botox? I go, you're thinking of fillers and I'm just fat, bro. No. I could ask you something. OK, so you drink a lot of coke. That's fine. I'm going to start this off by saying everybody is different so things can affect you differently. And also, I think like an end of your faith is going to dictate all of it. But what is your diet like? Would you eat like and what is your exercise like? Yeah. Exercise, I'll be in the gym for 25, 30 minutes, like twice a week on a good week. OK. New daughter working all the time, really hard to get in the gym. I'm about 12 hours a day in front of a computer phone. And then in terms of diet, it's easier to just say, like, what I don't eat, I don't eat seed oils, and I don't eat gluten because if I do, I hurt.

1:39:36And I basically eat anything else. So you don't eat out fast food? I'll start with that because I feel the same way, bro, because I went to Italy, OK? I did too. I never got to live. I changed my life. I had pasta, snacks, food, soda, guess what soda? Coke. And I'm losing weight, bro. I'm losing weight. I come back. I puff up from having one meal over here. Do not come me off right now. OK. I will give her this. I went to get a mountain do. And they're like, oh, no, sorry. It's illegal. And I was like, what? Regulation. They love you. It's illegal. And then I had a flashback of all the time to have mountain do and who I'm cheersing mountain do with. And I'm noticing all the people that like it. And then I went to do. And then everybody had missing teeth here. They all had mountain do shirts. And I was like, oh, my God, this is my people. And this is what's happening to me.

1:40:36And then I was like, oh, my God, it's illegal. So then I was like, there's no wedding machine on every corner. Yeah. By the way, by the way, the town. And what did I tell her? I told it's. Bleep. Don't believe it. No, George, it's so rude. Don't believe it. Why is it rude? They love it. I love it. I said I was going to move there because of it, because those are my people. I found mountain do and buckies. That's all I need, right? Those two. And then I went to Italia. It'll end. And they're like, no, we can't do this. It's illegal. And I was like, there's no way. And so I looked it up and dog. It's really bad for you. It's really bad for you. Was it the fluorescent green that gave it away? Do it, do it. The electric neon. By the way, not to be sick, but I got sick from Mountain Dew once because it was old. And now I put it in the light. And if it has like weird, gunky things in it, don't drink it. But if it's clear, only for you and the cheer good. There is Mountain Dew. I don't know. Anybody who drinks Mountain Dew would know this. Mountain Dew is just like to the vein, bro.

1:41:36Especially with pizza or like a good burger in front. It's like, I don't know what they do to it, but it is good. Exactly. Anyways, so I went there like, can't do it. I can't do it. It's illegal. And then I was like, I can get arrested for drinking Mountain Dew. No, bro, they just don't have it. No, it's illegal. You're not going to get arrested. It's just a high-end. They're like, this guy has to do. And they would arrest me. In this whole conversation, I just highlight this fact. He drinks Coca-Cola every day, right? Yeah. And that's fine. It doesn't affect you. But at the end of the day, what your diet, you're not eating fast food, you're not eating gluten, you're not eating seed oils. So there's so many, so it's all a balance. I just got rid of everything. I think before we raise the soda every single day. Oh, they were. Are you raising the roof over there? Yeah. What are you doing? Yes. Before we raise the roof for soda, I think it's also really important that we make it known and make people know that, like, look, it's all a balance. He's having sugar. Can I make your life worse?

1:42:36But you... Not sure. Do you mind? I believe it's all about faith. Is that just faith, like, with respect to calories or something? I think that you will. You have to have moderation, right? I think if you're having like a thousand cheeseburgers a day, it's like, obviously, but, like, you got to figure it out. Yeah. I think it's a lot about moderation. But there's a lot of studies that people say if they take poison and tell them it is medicine, they get healed. But if you give them medicine and tell them that it's poison, they start throwing up and bleeding. So I think there has a lot of evidence showing that whatever you truly believe in it is... Like, okay, let me give you an example. A lot of people that I know that always get sick is because they're always saying I'm getting sick. Yeah, that's true. And the people that never get sick, what do they say? I never get sick. True. Yeah. So this is what I brought into the Coca-Cola equation. Now, mind you, I think God gives you a brain. My mom's favorite quote. God gave you a brain so use it. So when I went to Italy and they were like, sorry, it no can do. I was like, did you say no can't do?

1:43:37And they were like, no, we can't do it. And I was like, oh, so now I looked it up and then I was like, man, if a whole country is going to band it, maybe my wife is right. And so I put down the mountain, what more do you want from me? I'm so grateful. I said it. I was like, I would so much rather you drink Coca-Cola in the mountain. What did you drink in Italy? Me? Not you, sir. Oh. I don't care. I'll hang myself out to dry. I'm just saying it, babe. Well, I dabbled in some Coke Zero. Dude, man. That's so much worse for you than you have to know. I know. I know. What did you have last night? I had a Coke Zero. But I know. I got it for her. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so as soon as I go home, I was like, I got a, do diet Coke. If you're going to do a Zero Cali Coke, do diet Coke. Because Coke Zero has sucralose, diet Coke just has aspartane and it's much better. Of the two, much better. Coke is better. And then of the three leaders, leaders of Coke. But I don't drink it. It was something to give up to me. It was something to give up to me to be like, you drink Coke, bro. You know they clean up crime scenes. I was like, if there is no Coke, there's going to be a crime scene. But my favorite thing was I was like, you could clean a toilet with Coke. I'm like, good. Let it clean the inside of me, bro. They give it. So if you take, like, if you take a GOP like a Zen pick or something like that and you get like the gastric stasis where you basically, the food doesn't go through you and it forms like a beazor, like a Harry Potter. Like it's basically a mass of food in your intestines that can't move. They prescribe you Coca-Cola. Like prescribe because it like dissolves the, it literally helps with digestion.

1:45:45Listen, I know what it does. I used to use it in five guys to clean copper pipes. They gave me like chemicals to clean it and then one day this guy goes, yo, catch up or Coke. And I was like, what? Let's put a Haines catch up on copper pipe. Man, those drug addicts would have gone crazy for that pipe. But can we ask you so when I brought the Coke and food balance, you were like, could I say something that was good? What was it? Well, you were saying that it has to exist in a balance. I'm saying that the Coke is just a net positive. What do you mean? I'm just saying that the balance was achieved via Coke. I'm saying I would be unbalanced if I didn't drink it. Yeah. I would be bad. We're not doctors. I'd be worse. Right. Somebody has gout as a legal medical agent. My only point was that you're not eating a bunch of junk on top of drinking Coke every single day. Your SMS in your I messages are not safe. I know that. Your microphone. I treat my phone as if it's public records. It is. It absolutely is. Oh, dude. Oh, man, he just threw me for a loop. Do you know how us right now, we go, man, wouldn't it be cool to go back in time with Jesus in that time? We're about to say they have a time machine. What? Do you think they have a time machine? But because of our phones and everything being recorded all at once, they'll have technologies to literally bring up a visual, a complete visual of what it was at, the exact time and day, everything. So the way that your mom and dad were taught, like right here, this podcast right here,

1:48:54while we're talking in the future, because of everything's being downloaded to these apps, they'll be able to recreate the whole entire scene to this as if you were there. Absolutely. And so all of the dirty stuff and the blackmail, that's how they get them. So like, it's not only like, oh, we have evidence. It's like, no, we'll show you exactly what you were doing. Yeah, look at it. You're wearing what color you were saying? You not, because I know you don't want to know more about this, but everybody else, look up Gaussian splats. That sounds terrible. What is that? What did you just say? A Gaussian splat. It's like this at all. I don't like the word of it. It's not. A Gaussian splat? A Gaussian splat. A Gaussian splat. It's an image and file type that would allow you to take several two dimensional points, exactly like higher talking amount, and turn it into a three-dimensional recreation. But minority report. Does this do this off of TVs? Because in the vision, it was off of a TV. Dude, and you're not dropping acid? Dude, I'm not. And by the way, this is the reason I'm not.

1:49:54It's because I'm already doing it with my effort. Dude, never, do drugs. I come back, would you see? Everything just killed me, dude. I don't want to be here to buy. But I will say this. So this kind of scares people, right? But it's magic. So the way in my brain, the way God was kind of sharing it with me, is that they were spells and magic. And anybody who has Christ as their father, it wouldn't affect them. So they were like bulletproof. So in these times that they were going through, if they called out to Jesus, there would be the blood of him would cover them. And so they had the ability to outrise it. And then I go to the verse where it says, you know, have good courage for what is in you has already overcome the world. And so there will be continuous people like you to invent things. And there will be other people to help and guide and protect. So that way, if they don't want to choose that life and they choose Jesus, there's always a way out.

1:50:55So that's the goodness. I think it was Tesla, Nikola Tesla, who said any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. And I will follow you down this conspiratorial rabbit hole because for years, I've been saying, like, you're expelling you being the scientist, you being the engineers and the atheists who say, it's not God, it's this, it's electricity. It's like, you're telling me that we can just arrange some silicon, some metal, we zap it with pure power and we can know things instantaneously across time and space. And you're like, we're going to call it science. Call it whatever you want. It's magic, but it's magic. That's magic to me. And so what would I love about what's taking place here? So St. Thomas Aquinas wrote millions and millions of words. I think Elliot quoted eight and a half million words, but a big chunk of it was all about

1:51:55angels and demons. And nobody has to believe anything I'm about to say. They can go read Thomas Aquinas himself. It's all kind of crazy stuff. But I'm just going to quote it as if it were like a cool Harry Potter bedtime story type thing because I find it fascinating. The way in which angels communicate because they have no bodies is with their mind and with their will. And so what they will do is they will present to you a what's in their mind. And then you with your will choose whether or not to consider it. And this is how we can become inspired when they interact with demons, what they do in warfare is demand with their will that they consider Christ, perhaps Christ on the cross, perhaps is precious blood, perhaps is love in his mercy. And it's essentially a battle of the wills. And when they contemplated it causes them pain and anguish. And that's how spiritual warfare takes place. All right, put a pin in that for a second. Shrinks the distance between your will, what you want to have happen and whether or not it happens.

1:53:03So we'll take a really basic example. I want to lift the giant rock. I can't do it. But if I put a full-crumb and a lever and I will use this technology, I can move the rock. So the distance between what I wanted to have happened and my ability to do it closed. If we extrapolate this outward, I can bomb another country with technology. I could put on a VR headset, take a little drone, and go lay waste to another country, right? So the effect is massive. Deaths of tens of thousands of people, destroying buildings. Huge effect. Distance from my will, push of a button. Okay. God is pure act, meaning the moment he will something it is. There is no distance of time. There's no distance between what he wants and whether or not it is. And he holds us into being at all. All creation is held in existence by the mere will of God. This is how we know he loves us, because we are.

1:54:05Okay. Now take a put a pin in that. Take AI. AI is compressing the distance between our will and the effects of our will faster than anything. And I think what these people are chasing, what the Sam Altman's of the world are chasing, is to become like God, to become God that they can speak and it is. Abraham, adabra means I speak and it is. Hocus, focus means I speak and it is. It's the inversion of Hocus, Eamom, Eam Corpus, ma'am. This is my body. This is my blood. They are trying to become God and just compress that distance. I'll even give you one even further in that same thought process. The Holy Spirit's inside of us. What are they trying to put inside of us? Hmm. A chip. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, how did you look at the tower of Babel? People when they were building up to kill God and become God.

1:55:05God let them all speak different languages so they couldn't understand each other. Now technology shattered that so every language could speak together again. So no longer are we babbling, we get actually assess and the world's coming together. I'll even give you another two-o-lingo. Here's another one. I'll even give you another thought that I was thinking. I think that during Noah's Ark, I think the technology out there was about to be really advanced and I think he wiped it. Then why you keep doing this to me? Yeah. I think God knew I would contribute to this so badly. Oh, by the way, I'm biting my tongue. Dude, dude, dude, these are just thoughts I'm throwing around, bro. These are thoughts like in the cameras, bro. Let me get out of this. I even think that dinosaurs are dragons. Yeah. Yeah, I think that they'll, they say that endorsed. They said that they were underwater because of the ice age. I think they're underwater because of Noah's Ark. The devil always takes what God does and then they twist the, they keep the same ending,

1:56:09but they twist how it gets there. This is interesting. I like this, by the way. But terrifying podcast. Terrifying podcast. Definitely. Yeah. Because we definitely put out there that we know and they're like, oh, but they knew. They're, you know, you know. I'm on stage. They know we were watching. They know we were watching. Yeah. And I don't fear it is because it's not in their control. Tell me more. Let me give you the story of Job before the devil was allowed to touch Job. He had to ask permission. Yeah. Went up and had a conversation. Till down. That's why I don't like when people are like, are you not scared of the end times? Are you not scared of this? Are you not scared of that? I tell them, no, dude, I'm excited about living in this time. Okay. But God. So, yes, ultimately all control is God's. Yes. And the prince of this world, you know, prowls around like a lion trying to debouwre souls. Yeah. And clearly God was like, yeah. What? But you missed one part of that verse. Probably a lot. Yeah. No, no, the verse that you're saying, right before you read that, he says, be sober.

1:57:11Which means. Be sober and watchful. Yes. So, which means that if you're getting drunk, you're technically falling out of the will of God. Right. So, the ones who are protected walk in alignment with Jesus. I agree with that. Well, a man is not going to have any problems with his wife. If he obeys Christ, loves his wife like his church, puts his hand away, puts in his pocket, doesn't play with himself. But the man who chooses to hear the word of God and say, you know what? Who cares? I'm just going to rub it. And then later on they have a divorce and then they cheat and then they get into drugs and then they, okay, now I just piled on. But it only happened because they heard the word of God and rejected the word of God. Yeah. So, the reason I don't fear it is because I don't reject the word of God. Yeah. I fail the word of God, but he knows my heart. Okay. He's going to help me and prepare me. And because I love my God so much, I know his words. And he's always showed me through my life. Every time I fall, but my heart is positioned for him, every time I fall, he's used that to glorify me later. Yeah. Oh, man, look what happened to George. Now they're like, wow, look what happened to George. So it's always a problem, but I don't keep the problem in my hand.

1:58:12I give it to God. And so he is a miracle worker. So whatever was dead, he'll bring it back to life and make it even better. That's why when the disciples looked at a cripple and they go, wait, was it him or his father that caused the sin? And he goes, no, no, this was actually for the glory of God. So I do believe that we are going to fall. In fact, Jesus makes it very clear. The only difference between a righteous man and a sinful man is that the righteous man gets back up. Both of them fall. In fact, it's very clear in the gospel that the man after God's heart falls the most. Because they get back up and they fall. They get back up and they fall. They get back up. Who falls without God never gets back up and just keeps being a different level of dropping. What do you say to the atheists, to the Muslim, the people who watch our content? I go on a podcast or I make an ad for shift and I'm trying to tell people like Jesus, I don't put Christ first in this because I want everybody to use a blocker.

1:59:14I don't want people to think that I have to be Christian to use a form blocker. How would you meet them and the person who's like, I don't want Christ, I don't know Christ, I have a different creed. Because you and I agree that Christ is what's transforming us. Amen. So I never shove religion down people's throats. I love to talk about Jesus because I'm passionate about it. And that annoys a lot of people. But the best way to preach is through actions. So I think a lot of people will get to know Jesus through you, through watching you, be a good husband, be a good father and want to be more like you. So that way when they go to you and they say, who is your master? They say, hey, I'm glad you asked. And then the reason I tell them isn't because I'm trying to win another soul and get credit with God because that's not why I'm going to heaven. I'm going to heaven because of the finished work on the cross. I just want to bring everybody to the wedding and saying, guys, the food, the beverages, the amount of joint peace that's awaiting for us at this table, common eat with me. It's unlimited. Everybody else is trying to sell you on something.

2:00:15I'm trying to give you something. I'm not trying to sell you on something. So I don't behave like I'm trying to sell you on something because everybody nowadays they're being sold something. And once they hang out with us or they hang out with Cliff and Stewart or a Bryce Crawford or somebody who's really just after God's heart, they're chasing the feeling of how they're feeling. And Jesus makes this very clear. That's why I think the best way to get a man to follow Christ is to show them your wounds. That's why I'm okay to fall. That's why I want to go to people and be like, no, I had really hard times when me and Bell first started dating, dealing with lust. And I brought it to her. I brought it to God because there's a lot of people that are like, I'm like, I'm going to bring this up to anybody, let alone the one I'm with. No, no, no, no. The devil plays in the dark, not us. Expose it all. The first time that I went on a podcast and talked about this blocker, the email, the hundreds of emails that I got from people ages early teens up to 70 years old saying like porn

2:01:17has ruined my life. It has destroyed my marriage. I almost lost my child. I had to drop out of college eight times a day. Like the most heinous, horrifying, sad things. And to a lot of these people, and I'll say it again here because I think this is really important. I am not your savior. No technology is your savior. There is nothing that I can do that we can code. There's no AI program that will ever solve your heart. Bro, I say this every time I get on stage. When I get on stage, I could see them with their notepads and they're excited. This guy from YouTube's here. George Hancock, I watched him interview this guy. Again, I build them up. If you follow me, if you take these words, I'm going to tell you, if you really put into practice this perspective, you're going to die. And they all just go like this. I go, dude, if you're looking at me to be your savior, you're very stupid. And if you're that stupid, how much other places are you being stupid? You cannot look at a podcast or in place your hopes and dreams into this man.

2:02:18I am a walking failure that was saved through Jesus. And never once did I tell you guys that I did this. So why are you coming to me for your help? I am showing you, hey, I slipped on this water over here and I almost broke my neck. Be careful. Don't slip over here. I'm not saying, let me save you every time you slip. I'm pointing you to my failures and I'm pointing you to my savior. If you're looking at me, if you're looking at any influencer, if you're looking at the government, the school, the state, if you're looking at anything else besides Jesus Christ to save you, I promise you with everything that I love you're dying. You are dead. The moment that comes out of your lips, you're dead, bro. You are a dead man walking and I also want to say this, the Hollywood industry made zombies kind of in the way that Paul describes zombies, but they flipped it. We are the ones that are alive. Everyone else is dead and they're just walking around. See what happens with zombies in the movies. If the zombie touches you, you become dead. But in the gospel, God says the living that touches the dead, they will become alive. So there's all these people that are dead that do not know their own transgressions and

2:03:26their iniquities. They don't know about these things. They're dead. They're blind. They're deaf. You can't blame them. The last thing Jesus says on the cross is they don't know. Forgive them for they do not know, but once your eyes are open, now you have the responsibility. So that's that is where I see the utility of a tool of a porn blocker. Aristotle says that there's four stages of continents are basically like ability. First you do bad stuff and you love it. Then you get a little bit of wisdom, a little bit of perspective, your eyes are open, a little bit. Then you do bad stuff and you really don't like how it feels. Then you graduate from that and you start doing the good stuff and you hate how it feels. I hate how waking up early or being patient with my wife or whatever it is, not watching pornography. I hate how that makes me feel. Then you practice that long enough and he says eventually when you do the right thing, you delight in it. It brings you joy. You become so aligned with the right thing. You get literal delight out of it. This very interesting.

2:04:26I was mourning because when I first came into my relationship with Jesus, I didn't sin more, but I felt the sin more. Let me say that again. I did not sin more, but I felt like I was sinning way more. I was at a heightened level and I was one time I was weeping. I was weeping towards the Lord. I said, Lord, you have to remove this pain away from me. It's suffocating me and he literally said no, not audibly. He said no. Then I sat there. I was like, why would he say no? I'm suffering here. He says that's good. It's good. You listen. This is the best way I can describe it for you because some people, they don't understand it. They go, why would your God let you suffer? If you're child or picture somebody you love, but picture they have no wisdom or fire. For some reason, fire was removed from them. They're like, wow, this thing is beautiful. It's glowing. I got to jump into this thing. Are you going to be like, dude, no, don't do that.

2:05:26No, you grabbed them. You pulled them out. You would smack a baby's hand. You would hit it because it is way worse for them to dance with fire than to feel that little slap of, dude, cut it out. You're about to throw your whole body into the fire. Stop it. And that's where I see, so 3% of every 100 people who buy shift, three people get really mad at us because it works. And I have the customer service tickets to prove it where we block, it's never porn. Everybody who blocks points with us, they're like, thank you. Also make it better. Also make it better. Thank you. Really? Everybody. They're all like, this is the best thing. Here's how you can make it better. It's like a guy who's like, I'm not going to drink. I'm just going to smoke a ton of weed. Yeah. And they're like, I don't have a problem with weed. Yeah, that issue. They're like, I don't have a problem with weed. I just want to block alcohol. Yeah. No, no, we're blocking. There's a definition. By the way, not to go down that path. Sure. But remember when I said everything that was made for bad, God will make for good. When I was struggling with marijuana, I had no idea how much no self-control I had. Really? None. I had no idea. You know why? Because I had such a close relationship with Jesus and my mom and dad, I've never found in love with anything that was bad for me. So I never had the ability to be like, hey, this isn't good for me. I should probably put it that I never had that.

2:07:34Yeah. I know with fast food and stuff, I never thought of it that way. With my phone, I never thought of it that way. It's normal. Everybody does. As soon as I had marijuana and everybody kept saying, shame, shame. And I'm like, yeah, you're right, shame. And then once I try to put it down, I'll get irritated. And I was like, wait a second. That's not great. I shouldn't be feeling that. And it was there in the Holy Spirit goes, hey, it's not the marijuana. It's why did you make this your God? Yeah. And then I was like, all right, God will take this away from me. And he said, no. I don't like, but why? He goes, because it's not marijuana, check out your phone. Check out your food, bro. You were 164 years ago, you're 200 pounds now, bro. It's you have no self-control. You cannot say no to something you want. Yeah. That's why I thank God every day for the marijuana thing. And also, before I was like, with marijuana, was like, I had no self-control. I had to wake up and have it. And if I was frustrated, I'll have it. Now I have self-control. And I'm dealing with it, and I'm in new stages with it. But one day, I was about to go on stage.

2:08:34And right before I went on stage, I was so grateful for where God placed me. And I started choking up before I went on stage, because I was like, dude, I got to be like, OK. People ask me all the time, why are you so raw and real? And it's because I feel like I don't deserve what I have. So I have to tell you what I'm going through. Or I thought that God would take it away from me. But God is holding me responsible to be honest. And so I want to please my father by being honest. So I already told him, I go, God, there you know I'm dealing with a struggle. Why did you choose me? Why am I worthy to go on stage and perform, tell these jokes, make them laugh, and live in this abundance? Why me? And I weaped. And I said, I can't even put down a J. Then I get on stage, I perform my heart out. And at the end, we had a meet and greet. It was hours long. I could not tell you how many people came up to me and said,

2:09:35hey, you stopped me from smoking weed. Hey, I quit my addiction, because I saw you struggling with it. Now, here's the worst part, bro. All these people were set free from it. And I was still in chains from it. And I sat there. And when I went backstage, I weaped to him. I said, if I have to have these chains on me for them to get broken free, then I praise you. Because, bro, I went home. I said, thank God, it's marijuana. And it's not meth. It's not drinking. I see people lose their life over all these things. And then now I'm sitting here being like, OK, cool. It's self-control. That's why when I read Paul saying, everything is lawful, but not everything is good for you. I'm starting to realize, oh, dude, I abused marijuana. I started out first. A doctor wanted to put me on sleeping medication. I went to my mom and dad about it. I grew up, I never drank, I never smoked, I never touched drugs, never did any of that. After the third day of not sleeping, I literally felt heart complications.

2:10:35I felt like I was having a heart attack. So I had this bit. I make it a joke, but I'll tell you the series version. The doctors prescribed me sleeping medication. When I looked into the sleeping medication, I was like, yo, this is wild. I'm not touching this. I go to my mom and dad, and I go, hey, the doctor kind of hinted towards me that marijuana might be a better decision for me. And my mom was like, no, we're not going to smoke. And I said, hey, if you're not, please do that. I'm not touching it. But my mom was like, you are for sure not touching these sleeping pills. OK. So I started doing my homework, and I started realizing that there's a lot of people that use marijuana for medical use. And when I went into that medical use, that's when I abused it. Because it no longer was for me to sleep. It was for me to eat a pizza, or have Mountain Dew, who got from it. Or to now, I'm like, oh, I'm hanging out with my boys. We're watching a movie, now I'm going to hit a J. Now God's like, hey, hey, hey, you've taken something that I could have given to you as medication, and you poisoned yourself with it.

2:11:35And then I had a doctor on my podcast, and he said, the dosage is the determining factor between medication and poison. That's why I thank God for my struggles. Because in my struggles, I find wisdom. And I realized that my heart posture was wicked. It wasn't marijuana. Marijuana to another gentleman, he has cancer. This is what it's healing him in his pain. This guy who had brain damage, he said he was taking medication so much. He couldn't even have a conversation with his wife and kids. He was numb. He couldn't see anything. Then he started smoking weed, and he actually got his family back. They're using it for a good purpose. I abused it. That is what broke my heart. So you bring up something that really scares me about I'll just use the very broad term addictive substances, which I think is fraught with a lot of misunderstanding. But I'll run with it.

2:12:36The thing that scares me most about prayer fee or about marijuana is, and filling the blank alcohol doesn't matter, is that they work. If it didn't work, nobody would use it. It is objectively true that we have access to more beautiful women and men to observe them than one we were made to see. And two, that we can integrate into our comparison mechanisms. So we weren't made for that many options. But we have access to it. And the consumption of it, the awareness of it, will destroy the thing that's most precious, i.e. a marriage. It's that it works. It's that it's effective. It's that you can see 100,000, 10 out of 10, 11 out of 10 beautiful women.

2:13:37And that they're beautiful. It's not a lie. It's not like they don't exist. They exist. They're there. You might run into them on the street someday. That's the scary part. And it's like because you be held that, now you can't take that out of you. And now what, you're going to hold up your wife, you're going to hold up your husband, you're going to hold up that video, that sex act, that whatever. And in comparison, it will pale. And you lost. That's why I'm so adamant about protection, because it's like once that Pandora's Box Band has been opened, you're 11 years old, you're 15 years old. And you see that, you will compare every other experience to that for the rest of your life. So I found a way to heal that. I know it sounds crazy. No, I believe you. I believe you. I dealt with that. A lot of people that are richer in the fame or in the where they could touch anything, they overstimulate themselves. And then they becomes bland. And I got really, really worried about that with my whole life.

2:14:37I was like, dude, like, because when I, in my 20s, I tasted success. And I got really scared because I saw all these kids growing up, child stars, and they become drug addicts, and they become like really in a dark place. And I think, again, as a vision I have, I don't know if it's true, but I feel like we're going to have a higher caliber of that because of social media stars. There's going to be a bunch of social media kids. I've experienced it through my life. I've seen it, where they're really famous at like age of 11 to 20. And after 20, they don't even know how the world works. And they're not making money anymore. And now they're drug addicts and stuff. So I was worried about this. And so I asked God, I go, Lord, I need help with this. Give me wisdom. How do I outbeat this? And the answer was, as God to fall in love with things that are suitable for you and good for you. And to heal me and shut my eyes. So let me give you an example. When you said you saw a thousand women, I did have that. When I first dated Belle, I never was a cheater. I was never in that type of behavior in my life. But my daddy would tell me, hey, I know you found a good girl, but you know, you're young. You should go have fun. And then when you're ready, then you settle down.

2:15:39So that way you don't have regrets. That was the lie. Yep. Now my dad's a good man. He just wanted the best for his son. But that's a poison. Because now I'm treating myself to have this pattern in my heart. And then I'm not going to be satisfied no matter what. This is, by the way, I know God loves me from the wife that I have. I truly know that God loves me. Because I have no business having a wife. This beautiful and this wise. I have no business. I didn't earn it. In fact, I was a shithead. Should have gotten far from it. But he gave me this because my heart, I kept chasing after him. I said, I don't deserve this. Now, that being said, when I got hurt, I said, how can I? You know my hearts and thoughts. I don't need to be blackmailed. I don't give a shit with the world things about me. But you've given me this beautiful woman. And yet in my heart and my thoughts, I think about other women. How can I do this to you? How can I do this to her? So I brought it up to her and I weaped. I go, dude, I don't want to be this guy. I've never been this guy. And then the Lord, I brought it to his feet. And I said, have me fall in love with the things that you love.

2:16:39And you know what happened? The women that would attract me before? I don't mean to be rude when I say this, but they utterly discussed me. They like truly gross me out. There's appetites of all. Dude, dude, it is what, and I don't mean to be disrespectful. But what I see men now being like, you see that? I'll be like, bro, that to me looks like a used toilet. Like it's so disgusting to me. And now I have pity and I'm like, I gotta help this woman get better. I can't tell her that this behavior is right. I can't sit around with my guy friends and be like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll call them out and be like, yo, you gotta behave. You gotta figure this out. You have a wife. I would call it out. And now my heart is completely changed. And now I understand the verse where he says, I will take your heart of stone and I would replace it with love and flesh. So in my brain, I do believe we're all gonna have that. And we're gonna be like, God, how can I move forward? And you know what we're all gonna be like, God, let me go back to being a slave. It was better for me back there. Or we could trust God and be in the desert.

2:17:42In fact, I also wanna talk to people right now that are alone. Yeah, that's a good point. Dude, be comfortable there. Yeah. Celebrate there. When I was alone, I used to weep, being lonely and tired and anxious and why am I here. Now I wish I was more alone. Now when I'm alone, I could hear God more. I could spend time in His word. He could adjust me, he could find to me. You being around the wrong people is way more painful than being around nobody. Be alone. It's fine to be alone. In fact, if you're alone, God must really love you, man. He must love you so much to leave you alone, watch you cry and suffer. And you point at Him like He's the bad guy. He's taking the pain because He loves you. He wants you to be alone so He could work on you. The greatest moments in my life was when I was alone with God. So I just want you to give you heart. By the way, I'm not alone now. I have a lot of beautiful family members and friends in my wife, but I needed that time because I wouldn't be the good husband and the good friend of the good family member if I wasn't alone with God. So I just wanted to give you some encouragement. But if you are numb and you've been watching

2:18:42whatever you're dealing with is not uncommon to men. That is a Bible verse, which means David had that problem. We're gonna have that problem. So don't feel condemnation. God doesn't work that way. The devil does. The devil will get you to do something and shame, shame. Jesus will love you so much that you would then be like, man, I gotta do right with this guy because he loves me so much. Like if you hang out with somebody and they always get the bill, the first thing you're gonna think about is like, I gotta get something for this guy. I feel so bad. Like you keep doing so much good things for me. I gotta do something for you. That's the true love of a relationship. That's why I get up to try to be a good husband. My wife made me a better man as a husband. I see all these women. You're gonna act like this. Don't look at her. Blah, blah, blah. And then they're wagging their finger. And now this is the bag of noise that's talking in front of them. My wife was quiet, but let me know that you watched. Very upfront, very honest. Didn't disrespect me. Didn't away with finger in my face. Let me be a fool and I danced by myself in that foolishness. Until one day, God's like, hey, I'm gonna remove her from you.

2:19:44And that fear struck me. And then that's when I started asking the right things. How can I fix my heart? How can I fix my behavior? How can I fix my thing? Now, not to tie it in together because at the end of the day, this is a program that he's trying to sell to you guys. But it's free, so it's not really really selling anything. But legally, we have to tell you that he's promoting it. But if you've been knocking on the door and asking God to help you in this and you stumble upon this and you don't do it, you're stupid. You're stupid. There's a joke that I heard as a Christian. There's a man that's in his building, the weather report goes out. There's a storm coming, take cover, a flood's on its way. And he's like, who cares? God will save me. And then the water rises so much that the climb on to his roof. And then a boat comes by and he goes, dude, get on. You're gonna die. And he goes, get out of here. God's gonna save me. And then finally, the water's all the way up to his neck. And a helicopter comes. He goes, dude, get on. You're gonna die. He's like, piss off. God will save me.

2:20:45He dies. He goes to heaven. He goes, hey, what the heck, man? I thought you were gonna save me. He goes, what are you talking about? I gave you the news. I gave you the bow.
