6:28Unless you're in good shape, you're not going to be able to help them. If we don't recognize what we even need to cleanse ourselves of, and it's taken me many decades to get to the point where I'm starting to figure some of this out, and I'm starting to figure out a lot of this was driven by big questions. Why is it that fill in the blank? And I have been quite a bit of prayer about it, and I'm finding the answers. So it is a combination, or a culmination, I suppose, of a lot of factors that have been in play ever since the Garden of Eden, and have been accelerating and accelerating. I've ever seen the chart of the singularity that Ray Kurzweil, the singularity guru, who says we're all going to merge with our machines and live forever, and we're going to upload our consciousness into some giant universal entity, and we're going to send ourselves out into space as our consciousness is all in some computer thing.

7:43And then we're going to find other bodies to inhabit. That's the creepy singularity that we're going to merge with our machines. And he's got a graph that he was promoting, I don't know, probably 15, 20 years ago, that talked about the singularity where the progress of mankind and our prowess with technology follows a curve. And the curve moves along to low-leaf from the beginning of time, picture graph left and right, and the vertical axis, the y-axis, is our technological prowess and progress, and the horizontal axis along the bottom is time. And so, as you're moving along from the very beginning of time, the beginning of civilization, it rises a little bit. We develop writing, we develop the wheel, and we develop metallurgy, and we develop architecture, and we kind of start moving up just a little bit. But then in the 1800s, it began to, the angle of that curve began to change.

8:46And it started going up and up, and up faster and faster. So as you move further across a year by year, you're moving way up, way up on that vertical axis, and you wind up with a curve. And it looks kind of like a ski slope, dropping down from the right, and getting very flat as you move over to the left, or vice versa, starting off really flat, and then accelerating, shooting up to the stars. And that curve, that exponential curve, the reason why everything feels so crazy to us right now, we're living it. And we are in the exponential curve from one month to the next, even one day to the next, probably even one minute to the next, the number of developments breakthroughs, discoveries, and changes that are happening scientifically and technologically are, cannot be calculated. It used to be, if you got a liberal education, and I use that in the old fashioned, meaning of the word, a liberal education in a good way, you could receive an education of pretty much most of everything in a couple years.

9:52Nowadays, you've got to really specialize in one topic, and even if you spend many years, you won't know everything there is to know about that topic, much less everything else, because knowledge has been greatly increased, just as the Bible told us it would. So the reason we're all feeling like our heads are spinning is because we are on the upward, like a rocket ship going off of an expansion, an increase in craziness going on all around us, it's happening damage faster. And so I've been asking myself, when did that, when did the point of inflection occur? When did we go from just kind of gradually adding ability by ability and technology by technology to all of a sudden in this extraordinary expansion. And the answer to that is, of course, the industrial revolution, and ever since the industrial revolution, it has been blazing to the point where we now have AI inexplicable intelligence speaking to us through our own computers and technology.

10:54All right, so going back to what I was talking about the first hour, you had this perfect storm, Sigmund Freud, the end of World War I, the end of the Spanish flu, which took more lives than the Germans did in all of World War I, more people were killed by that Spanish flu. So it was just a time of death and devastation and fear. And you had Sigmund Freud promoting modernity, you know, the best thing you can be is modern and coming out with some really crazy notions. I'm going to share them with you and they're just nonsense. They don't make any sense at all, but yet people believed him. Now it is if an expert comes out and says, you know, if here's my pronouncement, we all kind of go, yeah, yeah, yeah, right, prove it. Because next year somebody else going to come out and say the opposite. So, you know, we take it with a grain of salt now, but back then, even the very notion of scientific experts making pronouncements about society was really new. And they didn't have a reason to be suspicious of it. We have lots of reason because we've seen lots of those pronouncements turn out to be, you know, exactly the wrong advice or, you know, they told us, you know, eat, eat hydrogenated margarine. That'll be good for your heart instead of butter.

12:03And, you know, how many heart attacks later or all like, well, that was bad advice. So, but back then they didn't know that they didn't know that so you have to have some empathy, I guess, maybe a bit of compassion for our great grandparents and great, great grandparents because they didn't know better. And if we've been living at that time, we would have bought it hooklain and sink or two, we would have been throwing out the baby with the bath water with both hands getting rid of all of our inhibitions and prohibitions and old fashioned notions and embracing the modern scientific notions about how to live ourselves. We would have fallen for it too. But now that we can see it and now that we see the results of it and now that we see how wrong it was, it's almost like seeing all the heart attacks after people started eating hydrogenated fats for margarine. Oops, that was a bad mistake. Well, now we need to go back and go, oops, I can see the results of it. It's easier when the results are physiological in the form of disease and in the form of death and heart attacks. It's harder to say when those.

13:07And certainly the devil is here telling us, well, that's just that's just your own fault because you guys suck. It's harder to look at social processes and step out of them because we're in them. It's hard to step outside of them, step above them, step to the side of them and examine them from afar and actually see them for what they they are. And that's what I've really been trying to do. Alright, so I had said in the first hour that I was going to share with you this Wikipedia article on Sigmund Freud and it will give you some insight as to what the prevailing mindset is or was back in the 1910s, teens and 20s. And what our mindset would have been if we were living there and didn't know any better. So I have so many windows open there disappearing. Sigmund Freud, here we go. Alright, so I'm going to read you this about Sigmund Freud. And once you hear this, you'll understand what I'm going to say about the movies and the stars and the mass media, which took these ideas, which had previously had had Sigmund Freud come out with these ideas in, I don't know, 16, 80s, 17, 40, 18, 30.

14:17It would have been difficult for anyone to really absorb them other than the, you know, the people in the academy, which is the fancy word they used for, you know, academics, people in universities, people who were educated and into scholarship. And that was a pretty small group of people. So these notions wouldn't have reached the masses. They wouldn't have reached the farmer in Iowa. They wouldn't have reached, you know, the shopgirl in Manhattan. They would not have reached people had it not been for the mass media. And so right at the moment that these ugly nasty ideas came out, the ability to propagate them to every mind in America came out at exactly the same time. I don't think it was a coincidence. Alright, let me read you about Sigmund Freud here. In creating psychoanalysis, Freud introduced therapeutic methods such as free interpretation or free association, the interpretation of dreams. That's a big one.

15:18And the analysis of transference phenomena that arise in a clinical setting. We can go into some of that later, but it's not the key thing here. Freud's redefinition of sexuality to include infantile stages led him to formulate the edipus complex as a central tenet of psychoanalytical theory. His analysis of dreams as wish fulfillment provided him with models for the clinical analysis of symptom formation and the underlying mechanisms of repression. Now this word repression is really important because prior to Freud, we didn't have an ocean of repression. There was no sense that we were all repressing something. There was a sense that we were keeping the wolves at bay and barring the door against the wolves. And that's what I was talking about in the first hour. That's what belief in God does. It creates a barrier between you and the very bad behavior, the immorality and the harm that comes from it. Freud brilliantly in an evil way redefined that natural protective instinct that people have that tells them not to engage in the base of the world.

16:27He was engaged in the basis things they can engage in because you don't want to open the door and let the wolves in. He brilliantly, geniusly, and I believe this came straight from the devil, came up with a way to redefine the things that society, that humanity had always barred the door against. The humanity had always rejected and only the most degenerate members of society who were either ill or criminal would consider allowing these things in because of their fallout. His genius was in a scary way as repression. Oops. Hello. Am I. Am I. I'll keep going. All right. Awesome. That was that was Mike in the background there from RB and let me know that we can keep going, which is great. So talking about the the genius redefinition of normal moral boundaries that all people should have and all societies must have if they're to remain healthy and safe and sane, redefining those boundaries as repression and then telling people they needed to stop repressing those darker elements of themselves and give them full expression.

17:53And only then will they be saying, okay, so let me read the rest of this article here. Symptom formation and the underlying mechanisms of repression accordingly on that basis Freud elaborated his theory of the unconscious here to for an unheard of concept is repression in the unconscious and went on to develop a model of psychological structure comprising it ego and super ego. We don't really need to go into that Freud postulated the existence of libido we've all heard this word right libido being sexual drive he called it sexualized psychic energy with which mental processes and structures are invested and that generate erotic attachments and get those a death drive. The source of competitive repetition hate aggression and neurotic guilt in his later work for a developed a wide ranging interpretation and critique of religion and culture.

18:57That right there sums up the mindset that everybody was trying to wrap their heads around and embrace as hard as it was for them trying to embrace that because he said if you want to get rid of hate aggression neurotic guilt and all the problems in society get rid of your repression stop repressing those wolves at the door open the doors let those wolves in open the doors of your darkest desires let those words. And only then by rejecting God and embracing those things will you become mentally healthy and I'm the expert I have psychoanalysis I am doctor segment Freud and I'm telling you the truth so you better believe it and if you don't want to relive world war one the darkest elements that the the darkest events and actions that humanity's capable of the only way you're going to not repeat world war one. One is if you follow my advice and people bought it bookline and sinker they were complete suckers and they bought it and we are living the aftermath of it.

20:07All right let me tell you just one more thing about segment Freud lest you might still have high esteem for this man. Let me tell you from Wikipedia again you can go and Wikipedia and you read this yourself you can go in my chat room and you can see this horrible picture of segment Freud being such a creepy guy. Freud let's say let me get to the paragraph here this horrible paragraph. All right. All right in 1896 by the way he his wife where to go his wife was Mina Freud and no his wife was Martha Freud he married Martha Freud. Okay. A long article here early career and marriage and in 1896 his sister-in-law his wife's sister became a permanent member of their household after her fiance died. Now he went on to the relationship.

21:10Why isn't it not here. Anyway, I'm not going to read it from the article I'm just going to tell you he had an affair with his wife's sister and got her pregnant and then got her an abortion. And this is all in Freud's entry in Wikipedia you can find it and find references to it in letters and elsewhere. But the very thing that he was promoting which is remove your sexual inhibitions. And it created enormous amounts of fallout harm grief tears and pain in his own household because he himself removed the repression the restriction against getting sexually involved with your own wife's sister and brought huge amounts of tragedy on her on his wife and on his household. Going forward the amount of tragedy the amount of divorce and harm that you can see already in the 1920s as fallout from Freud's messages from people deciding to take away the repression and stop repressing their their darkest basis desires.

22:23The number of affairs the number of people harmed is unprecedented. We saw an explosion in divorce in the 1920s and divorce rather than people saying hey wait a minute this is kind of like the heart attacks from the hydrogenated fats we shouldn't rethink this instead divorce became modern divorce got redefined as the cool thing to do. And in one of the accounts in one of the books that I've read one woman is talking to she's saying that she's going to marry a guy she doesn't even love she's like I don't know point one. She says I don't really I don't like him much but it would be certainly more modern and more exciting for me to be a divorce say if I marry him in divorce him than for me to be an old made. So I'm in a marry him with a full intention that I'll divorce him because it will be modern and sophisticated of me to be a divorced woman. So yeah talk talk about a shift in priorities and a shift in understanding of what what is good to be in life.

23:26And the this idea that it is good to break hearts and abandon your commitments to others and all of that yucky stuff is the fallout that we got from Sigmund Freud who himself looked at. Right now I want to change gears as I keep promising I'm going to do and I want to talk about actors and actresses so I started looking at who were the big film stars in the 1920s what were the films about what was going on. And what I found was the beginning of the Hollywood era the beginning of what is now become the mass media that we've all just absorbed without thinking about it. The actors and the actresses the producers and the owners of the studios were among the most despicable and broken people you can imagine. I did a program I want to see was last October I can't remember when I'll see if we can get in a log Dave to dig it up and re broadcast it.

24:27But I did a show on something called anti theatricality and you can also look that up on Wikipedia which has a good entry on it. So a lot of good books on it as well anti theatricality is the persistent notion across cultures and throughout all of history up until the 1910s. That said actors and actresses were kind of the scum of the earth people who you didn't want to associate with they were associated with prostitutes and people who good society who if you wanted to maintain your moral character and you wanted to maintain your society you kept those guys very far separate from your children. Don't let them near don't let them near good society because actresses and actresses have always even back in ancient Roman and Greek days in old England no matter where you look on the globe in ancient China and Japan and all the way back as far as you look everywhere you look actors and actresses were considered a corrupting influence on society and marrying an actor or an actress was considered equivalent to marrying a prostitutes.

25:37It was just something you didn't do and so there in ancient I think it's Roman civilism and ancient Roman times Roman civilization actors and actresses were actually a hereditary class you couldn't leave that class if you were born into it that's the only job you could do and they were isolated completely from society they couldn't hold office they couldn't they couldn't run stores they they couldn't run. They couldn't sell things they just had to act and that's it and everybody else was kept away from them. Why is that? Why is it well if you look back at Plato Plato talks about acting and the theater is being falsehood is being fake and as being immoral because it is false. Well look at the 20th century and I'm going to start my chapter probably with these quotes. I have a quote by make my window work here.

Lawrence Olivier the greatest living I mean he won so many awards I couldn't even keep track of a moment I have you on listening for a long time if I read them all. What is acting but lying and what is good lying but convincing lying acting is a massacistic form of exhibitionism. All right so what is acting but lying in saying that he is in line with all of the previous philosophers and politicians and upstanding members of society through all societies through all time who said the same thing that actors are false that the very.

28:48I was going to say the active acting I guess I will say that the very active acting requires you to pretend something that isn't true and requires you to conjure emotions that you don't really feel and requires you to do certain things within your own spirit that are corrupting. And the impact that it has on other people to observe feelings and look at a human being and see that human being expressing things are simply not true is corrupting and bad for society so here we got a family of quotes will I'm on the right here the one from bell Gibson and I'm going to tie this in the scripture and I'm going to give this examples of how those actors actually are 20th century were that same thing they always been around all the street. 34:39I'm alright so I did let me go back until you how I came upon my theory which if you've listened to my show for any length of time you're probably familiar with that all of the technologists who have contributed to the development of our modern world. The ones who not the scientists but the technologist the ones who took science which is discovering God's rules and turned it into human power which is what technology is. Correct you can look at their lives and the fruit in their lives is despicable awful horrible fruit you can find them engaging in occult practices you can find them cheating their business associates cheating on their spouses abandoning their kids just horrible horrible people and it's pretty consistent and I discovered that probably 10 15 years ago because I was having a conversation with someone and I said you know it looks like a lot of these people are running.

35:45All the way back to Charles Babbage the developer of the computer and Steve Jobs and Henry Ford and Nikolai Tess all these people and I'm like they're the model and so the challenge that I was given is let me give you a list of people and I want you to check and see if it really holds true so I did and I found low and behold it held true that is when I made the distinction between scientists and tech knowledges which I hadn't made. Before that because I found that I could almost make two columns one for the scientists who were really good people married you know consistent steady solid people who believe in God and had a faith and just were good people good parents good fathers and another column of just the trash of the earth really horrible despicable people who became incredibly wealthy and famous through developing technology. Alright so that's my background that's 15 years ago and that is the backbone of the book that I'm writing on the actors when I stumbled across this information and went hey minute it was the actors it was Hollywood that took these ugly notions and spread them into every mind and that chapter is called megaphone for madness you know a megaphone just spreading it into every mind.

37:08I then did kind of the same experiment myself I said well let me take a list of famous actors and actresses from I don't know too many from the 1920s but I certainly know some famous names from the 40s and the 50s and let me just look them up I'm just going to look and see what are their lives look like and I found the same thing the exact same thing the actors and actresses who we know of in the same way we know about the technologist who became famous who. We became wealthy are almost to a person almost without exception almost and can't really sell when I take a name any name I'll pick a name out of a hat just like people have heard of I look them up and they've been married for five six seven times they've abandoned their children they've committed suicide they've become drug addicts they have had the most horrible immoral rotten behavior that you could ever have she.

38:08They were getting on their spouses going from one marriage to the next and you look at the dates they were married they were married up until 1955 and then in 1955 they married somebody else well that's the person they were having in a fair with and then they went on and had it fair with someone else and left that person in 1958 married the next person in 1958 it is so consistent and the stories that their children have written about them we've all heard about well if you're old enough you've heard about mommy dearest which was the book written about Joan Crofford, a big star in the 1940's and 50s actually 1930's and 40's Joan Crofford's own daughter wrote a scathing exposé about what an abusive alcoholic monster of a person her mother was behind closed doors and a lot of the children of these famous stars have written similar things so it I can look at the marriages I can look at the evidence right I can look on wikipedia wikipedia isn't going to tell me how those details but they tell me. me how many times this person was was was divorced. How many disasters happened in this

39:14program? How many scandals they were involved with? How many crimes they committed? It's all there. But I can't get the inner scoop of what was really going on. But those exposés by their children. Oh yeah, it's all there. You can read it. And literally every last one of them, I have yet to find an exception. I have yet to find an exception to this rule. So the anti-fiatrality, this notion that you could not trust members of the theater that you excluded them from from proper society. And you didn't mix with them because they would create a morality that would then be contagious and spread. You kept them isolated and separate. You went to their plays, you went to their whatever's and you appreciated what they could do on the stage. But you stayed really far away from them in every other regard and you certainly didn't emulate their behavior. So let me go to you and go to my quotes here. Alright, so why is this? One of the things that is so cool is as I discover

40:14these sort of rules, these laws, these these unspoken unwritten laws and rules that nobody seems to be talking about, that every single last actor and actress who became wealthy and famous and well-known had a life of complete igna nimiti, I think I have that word right, a life of complete, deprived, horrific yuck and ended wound up most of them. Now I can't say all of them ended up, came to a bad end because that is that is the one thing that's not consistent. The bad behavior, the harm of spouses loved ones family, parents, the harm of those around them is very consistent. What's not consistent is what happens to them at the end. Some of them wind up in mental institutions, in fact a lot of them did. Some of them wind up drug addicts and die from overdoses, a lot of them did. But others of them go on to live to be like 89 and 93 and have children who go into the industry and become actors and actresses famous in their own rights

41:15and they never write a negative word about their parents. And so you you have to kind of read between the lines and figure it out. So it's not true that all of them end in flames. That that that is the one thing I've observed is not consistent. But it is all true that their lives are lives of flames that burn up everyone around them. All right, so got a couple quotes here. I read you the Lawrence Olivier quote, what is acting but lying and what is good lying but convincing lying. Got another one from Mel Gibson here, I got my windows open now, I can find him. So these guys are getting up there and they're lying. What does the Bible tell us about this? Now here's the other part. Once I find a rule like this and I'm like, huh, this looks like a law. This looks like a rule of human behavior.

I know that a lot of the old sitcoms we used to watch on Nickelodeon and young people in this generation are familiar with Gilligan and the Brady Bunch. When I was growing up I was familiar with the Bing Crosby's and the Betty Davis's and the Joan Crawford's and all of those people because they would run these old black and white movies on the weekends. Back then you only had three main channels and then some UHF snow. Some channels you couldn't really bring in too. You watched whatever they gave you to watch. There were no VHS tapes. There was no streaming. There was no cable. There was nothing. You just turned on your TV and you watched whatever they wanted to show you. On Saturday mornings when I would get up from my parents and I would go watch Saturday morning cartoons. When cartoons ended what would come on with these old movies? I grew up like many people in my generation

I've seen a lot of their films and I know the glamour and the glitz and the whatever of this era which was kind of the golden era of Hollywood, the studio era. I know some of these names and I just started punching them into Wikipedia. I developed this strategy for proving my point or trying to see if it was true or not looking at my hypothesis. I developed a strategy where I would take a name of a famous actress. Let's say Betty Davis. Even if you're younger you might have heard the Kim Karn's song. She's got Betty Davis. I, as Betty Davis, was a film star in let's say the 1920s. Let me see on here. She lived from 1908 to 1989 and she is regarded, I'm reading with a media, is one of the greatest actresses in Hollywood history noted for her willingness to play unsympathetic sardonic characters

52:06and etc. She won Academy Award for Best Actors twice. It was the first person to get 10. Academy Award nominations, first woman to get a lifetime achievement award from the American Film Institute. So she's kind of big stop for her time. All right. This is the way I did it just to let you know how how I went about this. So I would say Betty Davis. All right. I've heard of her. Let's put her in. Let's see what's the deal. So I put Betty Davis in and if you go to Wikipedia and you can do this with any star you can think of, it needs to be from a while back. If you use a current star, the dirt's not yet out. Their kids have not yet written the scandalous stories about them. And so it's harder to find this on contemporary movie stars, although I'm sure it will come at some point. It was virtually impossible to find this on these movie stars in the 30s, 40s and 50s because the studios employed fixers. What do they call them? Fixers, handlers. I don't know. They employed literally mafia

53:11members who would make sure that any dirt, any story, any scandal that got out of these people would be very quickly quelled and would not make it into the public. And there are horrible stories about the links that they went to to make sure that the crimes and scandals and sexual immorality and divorces and affairs of these famous people never made it out. So don't be surprised when you don't find this on today's stars, but you will find it on these older stars because they've all passed away. And now the skeletons are coming out of the closet. All right. So Betty Davis, so I look in here and in Wikipedia, the way Wikipedia is set up is you'll see a picture you'll put in their name. You'll see a picture of the star on the right and then you'll see the details. Born, died, buried, occupation, years active. And then the key part here is you'll see spouses. And for most normal people, you'll see one spouse, maybe two. Maybe they got divorced once. Maybe they're first spouse died, but you'll see one or two. On these actors and actresses,

54:12you'll see like four, five, six, seven, crazy numbers. That's like a huge entry over there. And the minute you see that, I guarantee you that as you read the article, you will be scandalized by the horrible person that you're going to read about. So Betty Davis, I know nothing about her other than seeing one or two of her movies. She was married one and two, three, four times. And it talks about all of her affairs, her long-term relationships with other married people. So four marriages and just almost an uncounted number of other scandals. And I think her daughter also wrote an exposé exposing her as an alcoholic and an abuser. But now here's my next strategy. Once I put in Betty Davis, I would then, in these articles, it lists other stars. And I would then click on them and read about them. So here is Life and Care. All right, so I'm really long about her. And it says this,

I'm like, oh my gosh, it's so consistent. And Whistle gained notoriety after she jumped to her death from atop the H on the Hollywood sign in September 1932 at the age of 24. Could there be a more symbolic representation of the horrors of Hollywood than literally a 24 year old starly jumping off the age of the Hollywood sign? She was actually found by a hiker who was hiking and found a woman's purse and then look down the hill and saw the crumbled woman herself. And it turned out to be Peg and Whistle, the, the, the uprising up and coming to star. All right. So that's, that's what I found here.
