It has been hailed as a revolutionary tool for finding missing persons and closing cases that might have gone cold years ago. Supporters argue that if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. Yet, that is exactly where the friction begins. Critics, including the ACLU, point to a much darker side of this convenience. When we normalize the tracking of every citizen's daily travel patterns, we move from targeted law enforcement to something that looks a lot like mass surveillance.
