About this episode
A serial killer targeting young girls and women was at work in the Dayton, Ohio, area in the early 1900s. He was known as the Dayton Strangler. Capitalizing on the interest in the Jack The Ripper case, some newspapers also referred to this killer as Jack The Strangler.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the case of The Dayton Strangler. This case is about five sexually motivated murders and one man that got in the way of the strangler. Not everyone was convinced that the same killer was responsible for all the slayings. Many people were arrested and released for the murders over the years. But, many people believe a man named Smith Hick White, a janitor in downtown Dayton, was responsible for the murders.
