An update was recently released on the construction of the U.S. Space Command headquarters in Huntsville. Spacecom commander Stephen Whiteing says that ever since President Trump determined the new location would be in Alabama instead of Colorado, there have been 113 people who have relocated to Redstone Arsenal. He also says by the end of this year, there will be a total of 200, which will be over 10% of the space command's total manpower. Half of the team should be relocated by 2028. Whiteing said that this relocation process has gone smoothly thanks to the Air Force, the contracting command and the team at Redstone Arsenal. He said that during this time, the space command has still continued in its full mission execution and that relocation efforts remain on schedule and on budget.

1:03The leadership of the City of Mobile is seeking to get input from investors, developers and community members as it begins the process of updating its downtown development district code. The initiative to get this input was launched by Mobile Mayor Spiro Chereogatus and the most recent meeting was held at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. Chereogatus told 1819 News that it's important to him that as the city grows, it remains a place where people still love to live and any changes still maintain the character and history of the downtown area. This particular development code was first created in 2014 and applies to several key streets including Broad Street and Water Street. It involves any new construction or exterior renovation on a pre-existing building. The mayor said he wants all stakeholders in the city to have their voices heard as the city engages in updating this code, a draft of the new code will be submitted for further public comment later this fall. The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, Bill Williams is talking about the journey to be nominated to this position by President Trump.

2:04Williams was recently on the 1819 News podcast where he said he did not believe this was a serious proposal at first. That phone call came to Williams when he was at the height of popularity as the host of right side radio. I tell you what, a story I've not told much publicly. I'll tell you the story. A guy from DC calls me. You and I both know him so I won't say his name right now. A guy from DC calls me and says hypothetically, if you were offered a nomination to be a U.S. attorney, would you accept it? I went, what? He said it again. That was in May of 2025. What are you saying? He said, I'm asking you, would you accept a nomination? You're on the phone with the guy. You don't shut things down. I just said, I would be honored to be considered. I think is what I said. And then I went home and told Charlene and she's like, what? And I'm thinking, you think she'd be used to this by now? Yeah. There's that suddenly. Suddenly. Well, I'm married to Phil. He always do it suddenly. Suddenly. Suddenly. There's a suddenly.

3:05Suddenly coming. So I turned it down. I did. And so here's the thing. Right side was going gangbusters. Yeah. I was in my element. I was in my calling. And interesting thing is I had just secured a major investor who was putting a lot of money into right side. And I could not walk away from that. It was a obligation that I had willfully or willingly gone into. And I felt like to leave it would be to betray a trust and, in fact, that matter to breach a contract. And I had employees that I loved at my law firm and at right side. And what do I do with this? And so, Charlie and I, I will say this, I did not pray about it much. Because I think I discounted it. And so I called the guy back and I said, I want to thank you, but I'm going to have to decline. He goes, what? And I said, I'm going to have to decline, man. I really thought they wanted my name on a list of names. And then that guy who had invested in my right side, and I won't go into great detail,

4:05but the bottom line was he breached the contract from his side. He woke up one day and decided, you know what? My wife and I have been thinking about doing some other things with our money. So Phil, I think I'm done. What do you mean you're done? I said, that's not how contracts work. So we had, let's just say we had quite the go-round, got that resolved. And then about the same time, a good brother in Christ who you and I both know, called me and said, hey, have you gotten a call from DC? Win Quink, not not. And I said, yeah, but you know, I turned it down. You did what? I mean, just like verbally berates me over the phone. He's like, just give me the business. And I said, yeah, but I'm with him at breakfast this morning. Oh, where are you really? Oh boy, it's just wearing me out. I mean, six ways a Sunday. And he's literally give me the business. And I said, yeah, but I've got an adonomy. I don't have that anymore. I don't have that thing anchoring me anymore. But I've got all these people I love that work for me. What do I do? So we prayed about it. Charlie and I felt compelled to call the guy back. So I called him back and here's how I went.

5:05I said, can I ask you something? Are we able to have a second conversation about that first call? And he goes, well, since I never told anybody you said, no, we can have that conversation. And I'm like, okay. Thank you, Lord. And I said, but I got to ask you. I said, and I literally said this to him. I said these words. I said, who am I that you would actually consider me for this? Because I don't have a sexy, you are right. Yeah, I don't have a sexy Ivy League degree is what I said to him. I don't I didn't court for Scalia. I didn't I don't have that kind of legal pedigree. And he said literally because we don't want that. We want somebody's going to go in there and fight for what's right. Amen. And I said, well, I'm honored by that. In national news, five people were killed in Miami, Florida after an Amazon prime cargo plane overshot the runway at the Miami International Airport. The plane then went on to strike the other vehicles and planes at the end of the runway and

6:06burst into flames. A massive emergency response occurred on Sunday afternoon. As a result of this, the cargo aircraft, the federal aviation administration is on the ground investigating. Well, there's finally some action and money flowing when it comes to the Senate race in Texas. Ken Paxton is the Republican nominee who defeated incumbent John Cornyn in the primaries, but he's not been given much help by Republican leadership in Congress for his campaign to defeat Democrat James Tallerico. The MAGA incorporated Super PAC that was initiated by President Trump years ago has now filed with the Federal Election Commission that it's going to be putting a total of $10 million into Paxton's campaign this month. This will be the Super PAC's first time giving to the Paxton campaign for the upcoming November election. A spokesperson for the MAGA incorporated Super PACs as that the focus will be on helping Paxton fight Tallerico's radical policies and desires to tax Texans even more. Republicans in the U.S. Senate hold a 53 majority seat over 47 Democrats. The Senate race in Texas between Paxton and Tallerico is a critical seat to hold in

7:10order to maintain that Republican majority. Well the attorney for Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo is contradicting reports from last week that she was fired from her position with Fox News. Ryan Friedman says the claims that Bartiromo no longer works at the media network are unequivocally false. Bartiromo suddenly went off the air at the start of August and has not been seen on the air since then. Reports are out there that Bartiromo was pulled from the air by Fox executives after she wanted to do a show investigating further the 2020 election results in China's interference. Bartiromo has been at Fox Business for 16 years and has won several awards for her content and presentation. Friedman noted her record and said she wasn't fired and her contract remains in effect. However, Fox News itself made a statement on September 3rd saying that Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News media and they wish her the best in the next chapter of her career. John Solomon of just the news pointed out that if Bartiromo had done something wrong,

8:11it would have been a breach of contract and she would have been fired. But since that is not the case, Bartiromo is most likely still getting paid but being pulled from the air and Solomon described it as more like a paid censorship. Investigative journalist Laura Logan described Bartiromo as always out front on a story and setting fire to false narratives with real evidence. A few months ago, film director Mel Gibson wrapped up the filming of the sequel movie to the Passion of the Christ. This movie will be based on the resurrection of the Christ and it will involve the stories from the synoptic gospels but also ancient spiritual stories dating back to Genesis when the earth was created. Gibson was on the Christian post to talk about the movie that will be coming out by Easter 2027. I remember that there was a comment on it at the time. It's like, hang on, he gets up, he walks, he comes, what happens next? And it was real kind of a cliffhanger and they wanted to see, you know, the fruits of all that, that, you know, the dark, the suffering part of it. They wanted to see how that manifested itself in the future and so I felt it was in

9:13combin' on me to sort of try and at least focus on portraying that. And I think that these films will be even more of an inspiring nature because you get to see all the happier bits, you know. And then let's all not be bits. I mean, it wasn't all beer and skittles for the apostles, you know. It was, you know, they had to go through some stuff but they triumph, you know. It's, so it's, it should be inspiring uplifting. And I hope that the audience can see and feel that. That it was worth it. That's what St. Paul says, you know, it's going to be hard, you're going to suffer from my sake but I promise it'll be worth it, you know. So I don't know. I liked the last one. This one's slightly different but it enters that world a little sometimes. But you're going to different realms, of course. I mean, you'll be in the firmament before the creation, you'll be in the hell of the just and then you'll be in the hell of the damned and so it jumps around a little bit.

10:17It doesn't just stay on the planet here. It gets around. Are there any, are there any topics or subject matters? You kind of alluded to them just now. But any more that are going to be, you know, you're going to explore now in the resurrection that maybe audiences aren't expecting or even like Christian audiences may be surprised to find in the movie. I hope so because I think if you look at the synoptic gospels and they are synoptic, which means they don't tell you everything. And even John says, you know, hey, there were many other things he said and did, which if they were being written down couldn't fill all the libraries of all the world, right? So there's a lot of stuff that wasn't written and the gospels are synoptic. And one can look at these things and go, I wonder what was around that and try and analyze those things and make suppositions about what might have been not to go against anything in Orthodox teaching, but to enhance, I think, what's there for everyone to see.
