Earlier this week, a resolution was introduced and passed in the US House that condemns the advancement of socialist or communist ideology here in the US. This resolution denounces this type of ideology in all of its forms. All of the Republican House delegates representing the state of Alabama voted to pass the resolution. However, Democrat Congresswoman Terry Soule did not. Democrat Congressman Shemari Figures declined to vote at all on the resolution. Congressman Barry Moore pointed out that 192 Democrats voted against the condemnation of socialism. He said there should be no place for this ideology in a country that's built on freedom and individual liberties. Congressman Gary Palmer posted on social media that history has repeatedly shown that socialist or communist governments only lead to the erosion and loss of individual liberties, economic freedom and human dignity.

1:09US Senators Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt are firing back at a Democrat socialist in Michigan who is running for the US Senate seat there. Abdu El Sayed recently posted and then removed a controversial statement on social media where he blamed the United States for the deaths that occurred in the Middle East following the 9-11 terrorist attack on the two world trade centers in New York City. El Sayed made the post as the upcoming September 11th anniversary is approaching. Tuberville says that if El Sayed is so concerned about the Middle East, then he should move there instead of being here in the US. Tuberville also said that El Sayed does not belong within 1,000 miles of the US Senate. Senator Britt called out El Sayed for scrubbing his social media post regarding the 9-11 statement and saying it doesn't change the fact that at his core he is a radical socialist and Jehad sympathizer who wants to upend the American way of life. Well, Governor Ivy is praising a recent decision that was made by the Secretary of the US Department of Transportation Sean Duffy earlier this week Duffy announced the shutting down of dozens of commercial drivers licensed training schools after these months.

2:11Training schools after these schools were found to be utilizing illegal aliens and violating federal law. Governor Ivy said that President Trump and Secretary Duffy are taking action to restore law and order and accountability within the US trucking industry just as Alabama has already done. The state of Alabama implemented similar efforts earlier this year to remove illegal commercial drivers from the roadways. In March, Governor Ivy signed into law of the Highway Safety and Fairness Act, which requires proper US authorization for a foreigner to operate with a US commercial drivers license. Also, a CDL holder must be able to read and speak proficient English. This law will go into effect in Alabama this coming October 1st. Another state lawmaker believes that in this upcoming Alabama legislative session, the issue of flocked cameras will be front and center and must be dealt with. The state lawmaker, Rhett Deel, spoke with WTVY News saying that he believes flocked cameras are a violation of the US Constitution and the Fourth Amendment. Deel says that he and other state lawmakers are very concerned with these cameras and what data they are collecting and how it's being used regarding law-abiding citizens.

3:15State Representative Rick Rems is something must be done within the legislature to either rein in this form of data collection or to ban it altogether. The state of Florida just announced that they are banning the placement of flocked cameras along state highways and the counties in that state are also creating their own ordinances to deal with these types of cameras. Well, the mayor of Brookwood has confirmed to the residents there that he and the city council are considering an AI data center to be built. WBRC News reports that Mayor Joe Barger sees the data centers as a significant source of revenue for the city. Many residents at that meeting were in opposition to this proposal, citing the potential environmental impact as well as the impact on the students at the nearby Brookwood Middle School. The former mayor of Brookwood, Larry Holloway, was at that meeting as well and he urged the city leadership to take time and do all the homework necessary as well as inform residents completely before they ever make a final decision. Two resource officers at Dothan High School are being credited for saving the life of a seven-month-old baby.

4:17The baby started choking on food while being transported in a vehicle by the grandmother who then pulled into the school parking lot asking for help. Corporals Trent Adams and Daniel Vokman were able to dislodge the food from the baby's airways and save the baby's life, Dothan Police Department shared this story of heroism on their Facebook page. For more in-depth stories affecting the state of Alabama, go to 1819news.com In National News, a US Coast Guard plane with the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on board had to make an emergency landing this past Wednesday. The landing occurred in Virginia after the aircraft had engine failure in one of the two engines that emergency landing occurred at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullins was returning to Washington, D.C. after being in the state of Georgia. The landing was completed perfectly. There were no injuries. Fox News reports that the C-37A Gulf Stream 5 is one of the aging aircrafts within the US Coast Guard that has been flagged by the DHS to be aged out of the system. DHS provides oversight to the US Coast Guard.

5:19A federal judge has blocked the latest executive order that was issued by President Trump this past August 6 to rein in the birth tourism that's going on in the US, exploiting the birthright citizenship clause within the US Constitution. District Judge Deborah Bordman of Maryland issued this preliminary injunction to block the executive order from being implemented. This comes after the US Supreme Court did not make a definitive ruling on birthright citizenship in a way that would curtail the birthing tourism industry that is going on. As a result of this ruling not in his favor, President Trump then issued another executive order that limits the number of women that are allowed to have tourist visas, especially if they are pregnant, and their stay here in the US would be during that time that they would be giving birth. The US Justice Department argued that this latest lawsuit against the executive order is premature that federal agencies have yet to offer detailed public guidance on how Trump's executive order will be truly implemented. The US Department of Homeland Security has announced that states must report undocumented immigrants living in their state or face the loss of federal funding of programs for low income families.

6:23The US Department of Justice has approved this step by the DHS in a recent legal opinion and it's regarding the TAMF program, temporary assistance for needy families, and the supplemental security income. The opinion comes from the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel regarding the language in the congressional bill that established both of these programs. Assistant Attorney General T. Elliott Geyser said in a statement that when a state chooses to be part of the two programs, they are now obligated to report illegal aliens to the US government and that taxpayer money was intended to only help vulnerable Americans, never those who have illegally entered the US. While the 23-year-old Utah man who is accused of killing Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA is now going to trial in that state, this week Utah Judge Tony Graff ruled that the state provide a plausible cause to take Tyler Robinson to trial. Robinson is facing the death penalty in this case. The attorneys for Robinson offered a not guilty plea on all seven charges that were issued against their client. This coming September 10th will be the one year Mark since Kirk was killed on the campus of Utah Valley University during one of his campus debate events.

7:29The Assistant Attorney General for the state of Missouri has been found alive and well in the Wyoming wilderness and is now recovering in a hospital in that state, Sean McElprang went to the Wind River Range in that state to hike where he got lost after he entered his name into the log book at the top of Gannett Peak. McElprang was on his own in that rugged terrain for five days before he was found near Scott Lake this past Wednesday. McElprang was scraped up dehydrated and disoriented when he was found and is now expressing enormous gratitude for the search and rescue teams who spent so much time covering that area in order to find him. The Sublet County Sheriff's Office says it was actually a ground team clearing an area in the back country that ultimately found McElprang and then called in the air crews for further help.
