About this episode
In 1915, a tiny German-Creole rail town in the Manchac Swamp buried its beloved healer, Julia Brown, “Aunt Julie,” the woman who sang a warning like a joke: When I die, I take the whole town with me.
Before the dirt could settle, a Category 4 hurricane erased Frenier and nearby Ruddock almost completely. What survived wasn’t the town… it was the song and, if it's to be belived, a coffin.
