The Crack in the ice

About this episode

Send us Fan Mail

When a tiny fawn falls through the ice on Bark Mountain Lake, the whole valley seems to hold its breath. The frightened baby deer cries for help, helpless and alone—until  Fire Chief Steve and the Bark Mountain crew race through the snow, their hearts are full of courage, kindness, and hope. Carefully, Goose edges across the frozen lake, and when he reaches the little fawn, he wraps his paws around it—showing that help, bravery, and friendship come in all shapes and sizes.

Soon, the baby deer is warm, safe, and back in the loving nuzzle of its mom and dad. As the family disappears into the forest, we’re reminded of something special: home isn’t just a place. It’s where we feel safe, loved, and truly seen.
Because no matter how lost we may feel—its in our home is where our hearts are found.
