Along the way, Uriah’s integrity becomes the unexpected spotlight, refusing comfort while fellow soldiers sleep in the open field and the Ark of God remains with the troops. Even David’s attempt to lower Uriah’s convictions through drunkenness fails, exposing just how far a cover-up will push a person who’s desperate to control the story.
