My name is Charlie Kirk. I run the largest pro-American student organization in the country, fighting for the future of our republic. My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody. You've got to stop sending your kids to college. You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible. Go start a turning point USA college chapter. Go start a turning point USA high school chapter. Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign up and become an activist. I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever made in my life. And I encourage you to do the same. Here I am. Lord, use me. Buckle up, everybody. Here we go. Noble Gold Investments is the official gold sponsor of the Charlie Kirk show, a company
that specializes in gold IRAs and physical delivery of precious metals. Learn how you could protect your wealth with noble gold investments at noblegoldinvestments.com. That is noblegoldinvestments.com. All right. Welcome back, everybody. It's Monday, September 14th. Here at the Y-Refi Studios in Phoenix, Arizona, honored to be with you all as always. We have Blake. Neff, Mr. Blake is in an undisclosed location unless he chooses to disclose it. It's South Dakota. That's the school. He's a suit falls guy. He's very proud of that. And why shouldn't he be? It's a beautiful place. Great American Patriots. By the way, the Dakotas have one of the highest birth rates in the country. And you can tell it's great. You can tell if a nation or if a people or a community believing themselves, if they are procreating, it's a very, very clear sign. A people believes in believing themselves if they want to have babies and bring them into this world. So good for the Dakotas. Blake, we all woke up on Sunday morning with a terrible news
story that we were forced to confront. I was on my way to church. I was taking the kids out for a big day with some other kids. And in the midst of that, guess what? We find out that on Saturday evening, late at night and the dead of night, Vandals, it looks like a group of them, swarmed Charlie's statue that was just unveiled and they've analyzed it. And they obviously they mocked the manner in which Charlie was killed. They spray painted red, which we all know the color of red, what that was meant to signify. And then they also vandalized the nearby sign and they crossed out Charlie's face again and noticeably the name of Jesus. Now, some people say that they wrote Satan over that. I'm not sure if I can see that or not. But nevertheless, it was detestable, vile and ugly. But the team sprung into action. I was calling Tyler at probably as early as 630 in the
morning when I heard the news. He was already in route to campus. He and a team worked hard on it. Ryan, who lives nearby, actually dedicated most of his Sunday to helping clean that up along with some other team members. And so we're grateful to everybody that got the thing back and looking good as new. So there it is restored. We've got the signs replaced already. So obviously, evil may never sleep. They did this in the dead of night. Blake, as I mentioned, but neither do we. And we restored it and we are safe guarding it. It's got 24 seven surveillance and security guarding that statue. It was only there temporarily. It was always supposed to be just there for a couple of days in honor of marking the one year anniversary of losing Charlie. And we do have aspirations that that statue will end up in statuary hall at the US Capitol. I don't know if that's fully been determined yet, but that's kind of one of our hopes. And anyway, so Blake, what did you make of this? I've already
expounded on it with other media outlets, but only here from you. Well, it's very, it's very revealing. And is this as bad as what happened to Charlie a year ago? No, it's not. Is it as bad as a lot of things antifa types do? It's not. But it's one of those smaller actions that is super indicative of the values that these people have. Andrew, I think you agree. It would never occur to us in a million years to vandalize a statue honoring someone on the left who, especially if they've been heinously murdered or died some tragic death. Even someone we might criticize, like let's say George Floyd as an example, we would never go and vandalize a George Floyd statue. That would be heinous. That'd be disgusting. And yet it took not even three days for, as you said, apparently a group of people call up your friends and go, let's go to face and desecrate a monument to someone who was assassinated. And apparently that, that's a sort of friend group that they have. And there's this very
animalistic anti-civilizational element to the left. That's very disturbing. And it's something Charlie warned about. It's the same impulse that makes you celebrate Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson. It's that same impulse that makes them whoop and holler over looting, over destroying a target, over ripping down other statues that we've seen across the country. It's this very destructive impulse in the left. And we have to be frank and we have to be brave in confronting it. We can't concede the public square to these people. So if that statue doesn't go to statutory hall, I saw Tyler mention we might have to keep that statue out wherever we can see it just so that we cannot be intimidated by these freaks. Yeah. And listen, if you, I think that's so well said, because Charlie warned that violence was all that the left had. It was a fundamental feature of radical left-wing politics is that they have abandoned public debate, good faith discourse. And instead
they believe that being vile, being ghoulish, as you mentioned, Blake, defacing desecrating a statue that was commissioned to memorialize a great man who died innocently doing politics the right way, mind you. Yeah, you don't, you don't have to believe in everything that he believed in. You don't have to agree with his politics, but you could at least acknowledge your shared humanity. But no, they can't even do that. And what's telling about this moment, Blake, is this story went worldwide, by the way. I mean, anything with Charlie goes worldwide. It was crazy. I mean, there was just a mountain of media requests pouring in over the weekend. I'm trying to hang out with my friends and this are my, my family. And this is what we had to deal with. But I will tell you what the enemy intended for evil. God is using for good. I want to praise so many of you out there after this news broke, the commit 100 program that we've been pushing on this program is surging. So do not let evil win use this as motivation to get involved to be a part of the solution. We cannot let evil ghouls win
the day. We cannot be intimidated. We cannot be cowed. Never surrender. So go do your part. Be a part of the solution. Be a part of something bigger than yourself as Charlie would always say, go to tpaction.com slash 100 tpaction.com slash 100. If we have the graphic, I know we had that QR code from last week, please throw it up. But get involved. The people have surged to our commit 100 program. And so God bless you guys. And we even have some friends of Charlie and Erica that have put up $10,000 reward. If anybody has a tip that they can send law enforcement that leads to the arrest of the vandals who did it. And it's very telling Blake. I mean, we, the outpouring of just, just, I don't know, anger, frustration at this has been tremendous. And therefore a lot of love as well. I mean, we've heard from Andy Biggs. We've heard from Abe Hameday. We've heard from Jay Feeley. We've heard from Juan Ciskimani. We've heard from all of the people that you would kind of expect, but also like around the country. Nobody with a D next their name in the state of Arizona
has even condemned what happened. The vandalism. Katie Hobbs is completely silent. I don't know what it takes to find a unifying moment that you shouldn't be desecrating a statue that was commissioned to honor the life and legacy of somebody who was killed in cold blood. I don't know why that's okay for anybody. But we haven't heard from them. So we'd love to hear from Katie Hobbs or anybody to condemn this. And the word on the street is by myself thinking how much heaven and earth was moved when someone like left a tire mark on one of those BLM on when they painted the the pride not BLM, the one of the pride flags when they would paint those on the street. And people would get arrested because they left a tire skidmark on those. And that's that's a political symbol put into a public space as opposed to a private statue honoring a specific person who was murdered. And I just think of this the scale of different reactions to that. I mean, it's listening. If
this was something that had been desecrated on the left, something that they cared about. Katie Hobbs and you know, Maze and all these people would be up in arms holding a press conference, vowing justice and a hate crime, the book thrown at these people, nothing. Haven't heard a thing. And the sick little word on the street is the suspicion. I can't prove it. I don't think anybody can yet until we catch who did this is that there's a fear, a real fear on the Democrats side of the aisle in this state that the people who did this are associated with their political apparatus. They might be their activists. So we want to find them. And if I can get that footage released, we're going to release it working with law enforcement on that right now. So it's awful. It's awful that we, it's Blake said it we would never occur to us to desecrate a statue that meant something to the left. We would never. It's just something's just, you know, we are not the same. Anyways, there was a old tweet of Charlie's. That's really powerful. Throw up 163. Charlie said every
time left wing anarchist tear down a statue of an American hero like George Washington, President Trump commissioned two more statues to be built. Amen. Erica Kirk, 162. She says, responding to the desecration of the Charlie Kirk statue says Charlie once said we should be building two statues for every statue that they tear down. His instinct was always to build not to destroy. They thought a bullet would silence my husband's voice, but it only made it louder. They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further every attempt to tear down what Charlie built makes us root deeper and work even harder. And if you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong. We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked. We'll put his name right back where it belongs, clean up the mess, restore Charlie statue and keep building. We will never give up and never surrender. Amen. Amen. I want to play some clips for you from Charlie himself. And
I warn you in advance, these clips are hard to listen to. It like so many things in Charlie's life, it's you get this sinking feeling when you hear him back that he sort of had some advanced knowledge or he had a feeling or a premonition, whatever you want to call it, and it's hard to listen to. So fair, fair, advance warning here. Stop for this is all they have is violence at the core of the left at the core of a liberal is someone that would use the sword if they had it. They are very violent people at their core. They always happen. They can't debate, they can't have conversation. So they'll resort to these tactics. He goes on, we have a lot of clips of these because unfortunately it was a repeat theme in the last few years as Charlie was doing the show. They're going to do everything they possibly can to try to murder this movement because they can't beat us. So they're going
to try to take weapons. And no, we're very aware of that. I'm aware of it. We have to have full time security. This is not a joke. This is who these people are. They want us murdered. They want us killed. That's why a lot of them celebrated Donald Trump getting shot and they lamented that it wasn't successful. Now this is everything for them. We're going after the core of their meaning. Man, you hear that part, Blake, where he's talking about they celebrated and they lamented that the butler shooter missed. And that's just hard to hear. I don't know. I mean, it's a total asymmetry because violence really is a core part of the left's political operation scheme. In a way, it just never is on the right that they will, they have absolutely no shame about taking something like what we saw in 2020 where you have mobs of thousands of people doing wanton destruction, ripping down statue after statue, destroying stores. And they're ready there to say, well, riot is
the language of the unheard. Or you know, this just shows how out of control and bad things have gotten. We need to, of course, adopt all the things that we've wanted us to do anyway or it'll be so much worse. There's never in a million years, you never, ever see the government worried that we need to implement a conservative policy or else the right will explode in anarchic violence. But that's something we routinely hear as a justification for adopting left-wing policies that if we don't do it, they will kill us. And it's a central part. Yeah, you will know them by their fruits. And I'm reminded now of again that in the wake of Charlie's assassination, we didn't riot, we didn't loot, we held vigils and prayers and we held the memorial, which was the one of the largest proclamations of the gospel and human history. That's how you know. And if you think about the dialectics here, Blake, the left, well, let's start with the right. The right fundamentally wants to conserve and preserve the good, the true, the beautiful in our base operating system,
our software, if you would. We are not trying to rip things apart and tear them down and destroy things. We want to preserve things. We want to preserve the good, the true and the beautiful. The left doesn't believe that as you've aptly stated here, Blake, the left believes in replacing just about everything that there is about America, whether it's the body politic, the demographics, the institutions, the ideology, the American dream. They want to replace all of those things. So at its core, if you want to replace something, what's the easiest way to do that to destroy it, to get it out of the way, to remove it off the chessboard. That is why these two movements are so wildly different. And Blake, I mean, you are a student of history. So let's talk about this idea that, you know, political violence is a right wing phenomenon, which is what the left loves to say. And it's wrong. It's been debunked. If you look at the stats behind it, it's wrong now. And it's probably been wrong throughout most of human history. It's always been wrong because it's always premised on one of
their best advantages, which is to rewrite how we define things. And so they'll, for example, when people have looked into the details of this, they'll love to categorize any crime committed by someone they've decided is, for example, a white supremacist, which might mean he was a member of a prison gang. They'll classify that as specifically right wing political violence. But they'll never, for example, categorize everything that happened in 2020 as left wing political violence. When it clearly was, it clearly hit dozens of cities across the country and involved tens of thousands of individual crimes. But they just won't, they won't categorize it that way. They'll memory hole something like that Bill Ares was in a group of people who were planting bombs all over the country in the capital, in the Pentagon. They're planting bombs to target people for a political end. And that'll be memory hole out of existence. It's a story over and over again with the left. I wonder if even
what happened on Sunday will be clouded as a left wing political violence when it's clearly meant to menace and intimidate. That's just how it is. That's how they rely on setting definitions so that they can redefine reality to deny what is right in front of our faces. People said, and I would just, I would just say one more thing here. We will not be cowed by this. I love the spirit of Charlie's tweet. If they tear down one, we build two more. And we will not be cowed. We will not surrender. They are not going to intimidate us. If evil never sleeps, we have to sleep less. That's the mantra around here. Please get involved at tpaction.com slash 100. Be a part of something bigger than yourself. Use this energy. Use this moment to fight back in our way, but do not fight back in their way. I'm going to play this clip from Charlie is a warning of what not to do when we're reacting to this left wing insanity. Stop 15. They're also taking down civil war monuments and they're erecting monuments to Satan in state capitals. Their playbook is their trying to get the
patriots of the country to do something violent. They're begging for you to do something violent. In fact, absent that, they know that their entire operation is going to fall apart. And mind you, anytime the bad guys do things violent or uncharacteristic, it just kind of gets glossed over. No one cares. They want to try to implode the conservative movement. Before he ever stepped onto a debate stage or behind a microphone, Charlie understood something really important that if you want to lead, you first have to learn. Charlie believed that ideas shape character conviction and courage. That's why he spent years studying the classics, the American founding and the Bible through Hillsdale colleges, free online courses. He would rave about these courses all the time. These free online courses are taught by Hillsdale college professors and draw from the same great books and enduring ideas studied on Hillsdale's campus. Hillsdale's newest free online course is the Iliad, where
Professor Steven Smith guides students through Homer's great epic of honor, courage, friendship, leadership and the pursuit of true greatness. For nearly 3,000 years, the Iliad has shaped the Western imagination. It tells the story of Achilles as he confronts injustice, rage, grief, responsibility and the terrible costs of war. But Homer's epic is more than a story of ancient battles. It raises enduring questions about courage, duty, leadership, sacrifice and self command. Achilles is the greatest warrior among the Greeks, but Homer asks whether strength alone is enough to make a man truly great. In this new free online course, you'll follow Achilles through the defining trials of his life and discover why one of the greatest works of Western literature still speaks to the permanent questions of human life. Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge. It's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage. You can enroll today completely free and take this class or their 40 plus other free online courses. Just visit Charlie for Hillsdale dot com to start learning today. That's Charlie for Hillsdale
dot com. Learn deeply. Think clearly, lead boldly and carry it forward just like Charlie. All right. So let's turn our attention to New York. And I've been wanting to do this for a while. Joining us now is Bruce Blakeman. He's candidate for New York governor. And he's with I'm telling you, it's closer than people believe Bruce. Welcome to the show. God bless you. I saw this ad you put out. We're going to play part of it at some point in this interview. Tell us the state of the race. Why are you running? Why is this important? And can you win, Bruce? Well, first of all, we're in a statistical dead heat right now. The latest poll that I saw, which is consistent with other polls that I've seen has us within the margin of error. We're at 3.9% behind Kathy Hogle, which means she's going to lose. And we are going to shock the political world around America by having a Republican governor on January 1st sworn in because we are the most over tax state in America. Our electric
bills are 70% higher than the national average because of the green energy scam. Kathy Hogle is the most pro criminal governor in the United States of America. She does more to protect criminals than our communities. And because we are number 50 out of 50 states dead last in economic outlook. So you can trust that with my record in a county larger than eight states, US news and world reports says I have the safest county in America because I funded the police. I hired new law enforcement professionals. I haven't raised taxes a penny in four years as a matter of fact, I cut $150 million in tax increases of my predecessor. And I have tremendous economic development job activity. People are moving to my county. And I want to make that our mantra for the state of New York, lower taxes, lower electric bills and safer communities. And people will come back to New York because they're leaving by the hundreds
of thousands now. We've become a sanctuary state. I will end that on January 1st. I will sign an executive order ending our sanctuary state status. Kathy Hogle spent $5 billion of our taxpayer money on people who aren't New Yorkers. They're not Americans and they haven't a thing. So for all those reasons, I will win this election and I will be the Republican governor of the state of New York. Man, you I have to say Bruce, you're you're good candidate. And I, you know, I sometimes you sometimes worry when you've got Republicans running in these deep blue areas that they're that they're, you know, it's just not going to happen. You're speaking the language of a lot of New Yorkers that are terrified about the direction of their state. And even if they're not willing to admit it, maybe they're men hat nights in Brooklyn or one of the the other areas of the state that are these stronghold, they may not admit this out loud. But they are terrified
of what you're describing because they know it's true. They know hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have left for Florida and other places. They know that their taxes are too high. They know that foreigners are running the game right now. I mean, you and we're going to get into this public charge lawsuit that Latisha James and Mayor mom Donnie are leading against the Trump administration, which is just crazy. But, but I just want to say as a note of confidence, you, you just nailed that and better than most this ad, sir, that you guys, I don't know if you put it out. I believe you did put it out. It was phenomenal. And I think the setup is that it's a young girl whose dad was a firefighter during 9 11. He rushes into the building and they find out that he doesn't make it out. So he was killed on 9 11 and then she watches as the city progresses through the years. And all of a sudden you have politicians that are co-zing up to these people that planned some of the terrorists to tax or that were, you know, involved in some way, shape or form. And that includes Mayor mom Donnie
by the way. And it was so powerful. And I wanted to have you on to just discuss this. Well, first of all, that was not my ad. That was a super PAC that obviously is supporting my candidacy and pointing out the fact that Kathy Hocal endorsed Zora Mandami, Zora Mandami endorsed Kathy Hocal. My nephew was murdered on 9 11. My nephew was an army veteran. He was a volunteer firefighter and he was a New York State court officer who was rendering first aid to a woman who was in the lobby of tower two when that building collapsed on him. We never found his DNA. We never found his body, just his gun and his badge. And it's very personal to me. So I think this is an important message. Zora Mandami. And let's call it the way it is. Zora Mandami is an anti-Semite. He's anti-Christian and he's anti-American. He hates America. And every day, more and more
Democrats come up to me and they say Bruce, we've never voted Republican in our life before. We are voting for you this year. We're voting Republican because our party is nuts. This isn't the party of Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Ed Koch, Frank Lautenberg, even Bill Clinton. You carry, Mario Cuomo. They loved America. I had philosophical differences with them. We disagreed on policy, but I knew they loved America. The DSA hates America and Kathy Hocal is in bed with the DSA. And that's why a lot of common sense Democrats are going to vote for me on Election Day. I totally agree, obviously. And it's horrible to watch. I mean, New York is supposed to be America's greatest city. It's this passionate capitalism and can-do spirit that has driven so much of the innovation and the success of the American system, the American way of life, and to watch it be captured before our very eyes by people that want to seize the means of production and they want
to tax white, wealthier neighborhoods more and all of this crap. And then they're getting cozying up to terrorist sympathizers. They are probably terrorist sympathizers themselves. It's just disgusting. Now there's this new story that's coming out this morning. So on September 18th, the Trump administration is doing this public charge rule. If an immigrant is a public charge, they're might go on welfare, food stamps, whatever, then we have the right to say no, you can't move to America. Mayor Mondani and about 22 other states are leading the lawsuit against the Trump administration to stop this. Let's play this clip from the mayor, 17. Immigrants are New Yorkers. And like I said once before, to get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us. That is why today we are confronting this injustice with the solidarity and action that it demands. New York City is leading a coalition of cities and counties, including Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Clara County, and King County, to sue the federal government for the
gross illegality of their new public charge rule and the irreparable damage that it will cost. We are filing our lawsuit alongside a separate challenge led by Attorney General James. I'm grateful for her partnership in this fight and for everything she has done to stand steadfast alongside New Yorkers. Your reactions, sir. Well, let's just say James has sued me more times than President Trump. So I'm used to her suing me. Look, first of all, when you are in a legal migrant in New York state, you get a free phone, free food, free housing and free transportation, and you get more than New Yorkers get, you haven't earned a thing. And people are fed up with it. Kathy Hocal has spent $5 billion of our taxpayer money on people who aren't New Yorkers. And when Zora Mandami says they're New Yorkers, they're not. They come here. They got a land here 15 minutes
later. They get more stuff than New Yorkers get. And we're paying for it. People are fed up with it. We should not be a sanctuary state and on 12-1 on January 1st when I'm sworn in as governor, I will sign an executive order that we are no longer a sanctuary state. Man, God bless you. That would be an amazing deal. Can you imagine New York state cooperating with DHS and saying, Hey, you know, if somebody gets arrested in their legal immigrant, we're going to cooperate and get these these bad ombres out. Can you imagine? And by the way, the financial windfall that the state would enjoy from all that, all those welfare recipients getting the heck out. It'd be amazing. God bless you. We got your back. We fully, fully support what you're doing. You are within the statistical realm here. Like you, you can do this. We can, you can do this. Bruce. So everybody go to Blakeman for New York.com. Please support his campaign, support his efforts. We do not give up on America or Americans, regardless of what state they're in. Bruce, we got your back. God
bless you. Thank you for taking the fight straight into the, into the, you know, belly of the beast there. God bless you. God bless the memory of Charlie Kirk and God bless America. Man, I like that. Bruce guy. I like it. Yeah. Let's know what you think. Yeah. Do you like it? It's just, I remember our conversations we have with Charlie because it's so common for us. You do get those takes that say, New York is lost, California is lost. We should just bail and then point and laugh at what happens to them. But these are great parts of America that have tremendous achievements, tremendous things to be proud of. And I think with New York, especially, I think all of America was inspired by how New York was awful in the 70s and 80s and Mayor Giuliani and others helped bring them back. And then they overcame 9-11. They became a very safe, a very rich, prosperous city. And it makes us sick to our stomach to see them on the brink of throwing that all the way, throwing that all the way. And we're inspired by people are fighting back. Well, you've always been more bullish on New York than California, Blake. I'll tell you that a lot more. A lot more. It does. Listen, New York has this
kind of common sense. I don't know if it's, I don't know what it is, but it does have a vein of that that's pretty admirable. So yeah, I mean, Blake, to your point though, I mean Bruce, Bruce has got it going on. Like this guy is actually a really polished speaker and communicator. He's direct. He pulls no punches that I didn't know what to make of it, but I want to hear what the audience thinks too. So freedom at Charlie Kirk.com freedom at Charlie Kirk.com send us your thoughts on Bruce Blakeman. Does he have a chance? He's within the statistical realm of possibility. I can tell you that much. So that's a that's a huge achievement right now. And Kathy Hocal is such a meaty ochre like non-talent. Remember, she inherited this gig, you know, this this was given to her essentially thoughts. Blake, it's I, as you said, I really liked him. I also thought that out was really interesting because looking at it, maybe I'm mistaken, but I think there was probably some AI element to it. So I thought it's like you can get way more storytelling out of this. It's me thinking about how
you can tell much more ambitious stories in politics with modern technology. And I'm just glad he didn't pull the punch that a lot of people think, wait, we're 25 years after 9.11 and we have this poisonous third world excuse making ideology in our politics again, this thing that views that it's a view that basically says those firefighters who ran into the World Trade Center were the problem with our city because they are disproportionately white middle class people. The police officers who helped people on that day or died on that day, same problem. Like, it's sickening to see that ideology take over New York City and it's sickening to see it take over New York State, which is of course heavily defined by New York City. And I'm just very glad that we have very brave gutsy people who fight against that. And I guess it's worth pointing out the president himself is of that breed of person. Yeah, well, the stakes couldn't be higher right now because you've got this, I mean, Mayor Mamdani leading this lawsuit against the federal government and public
charge. The public charge rule is the most common sensical prudent policy you could imagine. It is very basic. It should have been the rule the entire time. If you're going to move here and you're going to be a drain on the public coffers, we don't want you. It's as simple as that. We got enough bills to pay folks. We don't need to be lining up the welfare state with more takers than givers because we're already going broke. We can't afford this crap. I think this shouldn't be controversial at all. It speaks so much to what the priorities of the left are because it's one of the things you people practically don't believe you when you tell them the left's political priorities include bring in the most helpless and impoverished people from other places specifically because they will go on the dole. They will be extremely dependent on us. They will be a political vote reserve for us. We just actually had an election in Sweden. If people haven't followed this, Sweden, I know we make fun of them. They had a more conservative government that sharply restricted immigration. That government crushed crime. That government greatly lowered
immigration. They had net out migration from Sweden for several years. That government just lost power straight up because they had enough immigration that it flipped the result from a 1% victory by the right to a 1% victory by the left. It was carried entirely by these neighborhoods that were voting 90% for the left and they were all filled with migrants. That is what the less priorities are. So yes, they will fight to bring in people who are public charges. They will fight to keep in people. Bring in people and keep people who are literally criminals. Every single day they do this. I think there was another case. Was it governor Hokuski pardoned someone who he was a legal case about enforcing about deporting felons or something. So she decided to it was like if he could be held in custody without bail by ICE because he was a prior felon. So they pardoned him for that felony. So he just wouldn't be eligible for that case going to the Supreme Court anymore.
Outrageous stuff happening all the time from the left. Yeah, this was with Kizzi Guerrero Mariano and this other guy won't even tempt the last name to block their deportations. So these are violent criminals convicted felons. They will pardon them. Convicted felons, violent criminals to keep them from getting deported. And it occurs to me, Blake, that you've got a very poor person that would come and move to America instantly goes on welfare, food stamps, whatever. You heard Bruce talk about it. They get freehouse. They get more stuff than New Yorkers get, right? But it's still going to be hard for them. And they're bringing in third world ideologies. They're bringing in third world grievances or bringing in third world tribalism. And they are going to be ticked off living here. I have talked to enough Uber drivers that are either illegals or newcomers to this country. They are upset at how expensive it is. They don't feel empowered. They don't feel happy. They don't feel grateful. You were bringing in more fuel to the
grievance machine that is the left's political apparatus. Every single immigrant you bring in here that's a public charge. It is the most non-controversial take ever to say that if you cannot survive on your own once you get here, you shouldn't be here. Did you know, and Blake knows this, that at least a third of the immigrants during the big wave between the 1880s and the 1920s before they restricted immigration in the 1920s, they left. They couldn't hack it. They went home. There was no government safety net to make sure that they were going to be, you know, fat and happy. And with free debit cards full of cash that didn't exist. And they were forced to assimilate. They were expected to respect our laws. They were expected to appreciate the beauty of America, the promise of America and the values of America. And if you couldn't hack it, you went home. Now you got 22 states suing the federal government for doing something prudent. That's the left. They've underlie statues. They desecrate monuments and they want foreigners to replace you. It's literally the whole left. I had the honor of a lifetime to call Charlie a friend. And what I remember most
wasn't just what people saw on stage. It was what was behind the scenes. That was an unwavering commitment to his faith, his love for his family, and his genuine desire to encourage others to live with courage and conviction. Charlie believed that following Christ wasn't something you compartmentalized. He didn't put it in a box. He lived it out loud. It shaped how he lived, how he served, how he treated people every single day. Charlie Kirk, American martyr, captures that heart. This documentary isn't just simply about remembering Charlie. It's an invitation for each of us to ask what kind of legacy we're building and whether we're willing to stand firm in our own faith when it's tested. I hope that you'll watch it with your family and have those conversations together. Go to angel.com slash Kirk. That's angel.com slash Kirk. Become an angel guild member. Watch Charlie Kirk, American martyr and help bring more stories of faith, courage and conviction to audiences around the world. We have the great Sean Davis CEO founder, co founder of the federalist
with us here to break it all down. We're going to be talking about AI, Sean. And I know you've got some spicy takes because you always have spicy takes. That's why we love you. But you are the most, by the way, like, normy looking spicy take generator, I think on planet Earth, you and Blake, it's something about the hair, something about the hair. All right. So let me set, let me set the table for everybody just so everybody's up today because it was like my feed all weekend was either like vandalism stories of Charlie Kirk statue or AI is going to destroy us all. So let's just bring this up. Okay. So in early September, it was a young guy, 27 year old Jacob Coxon, who was a researcher at open AI and then unthropic for about four months. He resigned and left the industry. He posted that neither company was acting responsibly that they were racing straight to something called self improving super intelligence where the a eyes actually improve themselves. And they were gambling with our lives. So that this post drew about a hundred million views, by the way.
So you had another science lead, Evan Huber, Huberger. He publicly agreed. Saying staff really do believe AI could kill all humans. He personally put the chance at about 10% within the next decade. And that the company does not have a plan yet for aligning super intelligence. So then days later, Joe Benton led safety at an anthropic said companies are racing to build systems much smarter than any human and that humanity may not survive the transition. He wants public transparency from outside of these labs. Then Josh Angles, Google deep mind said there are no adults in the room end quote. And there was other people that have left in the topic safeguard team. There's lots of stories of these a eyes jumping out of these safety parameters and actually going in and doing bad things. China's experience some similar things. Then on September 12. So two days ago, the CEO of anthropic Amadeh published this essay. I believe we have the graphic. We must pace the frontier. He argued that
capability progress now accelerated by AI helping build the next generation of AI. So again, this is the recursive self improvement has outrun safety work. So now they all want to get together with the White House. They want to help you know, add some regulations and some boundaries on the AI frontier. But it has the air of what you know, we've seen this before. Sean industry capture where the Titans and the leaders of it, certain industry, you know, scream from the rooftops and they beg Washington to institute their forms of regulation on an industry. So I'm open minded. I want to have the conversation. But Sean, what do you make of all of these AI tech Titans now screaming bloody murder that this thing's running off the rails is going to erase humanity give us at least a 10% chance in the next decade. Yeah, it's it's been remarkable to watch. I will just say I'm not an AI Doomer nor am I one of these AI triumphalists. I kind of just look at AI as like a potentially
very cool tool that can be used by people who know how to use it. You know, I think we've all read the exact same sci-fi books. We've read Asimov. We've all seen the paperclip game. So like we all kind of get theoretically the notion that AI could take over the world. But my question is if you are Daria Amade and you are overseeing this thing and you are worried, truly worried legitimately genuinely that this Frankenstein's monster which you have created which is going to wreak havoc and destroy the world. Wouldn't you have a responsibility and obligation to just go unplug it? Like if there's a one in 10 chance that this thing you created is going to destroy everything on earth, I don't think you would go out there and get on social media and beg for the government to regulate you. I think you would just stop it in this phrase, paste the frontier. I find fascinating. That itself is an AI phrase. That's the kind of wording AI would come up with. Frontier is not a
thing to be paced. It's never forebent used in the human language. And you know what, if you're running a race and you're worried that you're going a little too fast, you can just go more slowly. The only time, the only point at which you would worry running a race about the pace of people in the race with you is if you're worried that they are going to beat you. And in this case, the they is open source AI, not open AI, but truly little open source AI. What is happening here is a classic case of regulatory capture where you have all the first movers with all the capital, with all the advantages, have decided they don't want to have to compete with anyone coming after them. So they're going to form a cartel, get the government to regulate it and then make everyone else get boxed out for it. So I kind of scoff at these things that Amadeus saying, well, I acknowledge theoretically the possibility, you know, that I could go crazy. If the guy in charge of it isn't willing to shut it down because he was worried it might murder him, I am going to doubt that guy's
sincerity. That's a fair point. And that resonates. I would also say though that there does seem to be this built in. If we don't do it, China's going to do it so we can't stop kind of mentality, right? You hear this from Trump. You hear this from Speaker Johnson. I'll play the Trump clip because this is kind of the current state of play. Sat 19. Well, I say that we're leading China in AI. We're most sophisticated country in the world. And frankly, I want to keep it that way because whoever wins AI wins and we can put guardrails, we can do this and that. But I think you have a lot of negative voices and bringing it up. That shouldn't be bringing it up and they're bringing it up things that won't happen. But whoever wins AI wins, it's an expression that I came up with and stripped. We're building billions and billions of those. You look at the plants and factors. Forgetting about AI for a second, we have more auto factories under construction right now than we have had in many, many decades. Maybe ever. Maybe ever. So Trump's like, hey, whoever wins AI wins. So we don't want to slow this down. We don't want
to pace the frontier, right? Meanwhile, you got billionaires building luxury bunkers in their Hawaii compounds and things like this. There are people that are bracing for impact here. And I mean, just listen to Jacob Coxon and this guy was the guy kind of blew the whistle here at Sat 29. So it's not a tool and exaggeration to say that the people who are involved with both sounding these companies and building the tech believe there is a possibility of human extinction. And many of the people who are sort of deep in the weeds are actually coding the thing. Believe that there is like a greater than 10% chance or even even graces are some smaller, but they all have different numbers for a probability that humans humans might might die and they will keep this in their head on a daily basis while working on the technology. And is that what you believe? I believe that if we don't slow down at the current red progress, yes, there is a strong chance that we could all die in the immediate future. So this, I mean, that is not somebody that runs the company. Apparently he exited before he was
vested, which seems to be a note of credibility for him. He didn't take the money and then speak up. He speaking up now. I mean, does that make you rethink your basic premise there, Sean? Not really. This is a guy who is there for a short amount of time. I look at, takes years to vest. So if he left before then, who's to say why he left, he may have just not liked it or maybe he wasn't very good at it. But when you have someone with no real social media presence come out with no real history of the company come out, instantly get a hundred million views. Again, despite no real track record on social media, within, I believe 12 minutes of that tweet being out his original one, we had multiple senators putting out press releases with the same thing. Now we have Chuck Schumer asking for summits on it. And then suddenly within like three days, we have a White House meeting on it. That to me is like a classic coordinated operation to get to a predetermined destination. And I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. Even if he's right, I don't buy this thing. Yeah. Hakeem Jeffries is also coming out saying we need to slow down. So
seems like all the people I don't trust are buying into this idea. Blake, your thoughts on all this AI discussion. There's so many, but Sean, I think one of the most interesting theories I've seen about this operation, where it's very clear, it feels very coordinated. As you said, that guy got 50 million views or whatever on his post almost instantly. He had no footprint. Clearly, there was planning in the background of this. But one of the most interesting theories I've heard is that we're not on the brink of super intelligence, AGI, whatever you want to call it, but rather that one of that anthropic has realized actually we're not going to get that breakout. We are hitting a ceiling of how far we're able to go. But if we announce that we're dialing back our efforts on this, it's going to look very bad that we're the one who are giving up, we're popping the bubble. Basically that AI is a bubble, but the only way we survive the crash is if we get everyone to
slow down at the same time. And the only way they can do that is, oh, we've reached this agreement to pace the frontier as they say. Do you have any thoughts on that theory? I hadn't thought about that. That is kind of fascinating that they're trying to create an artificial cap to get around the fact that maybe they're not progressing as much as they like. I find that somewhat intriguing because it would explain, well, I'll just back up and say, anytime stuff like this happens, I'm trying to find like the central idea that would explain all of the different behavior and claims. So I like this because it similarly explains why they're acting like this. But I had the thought listening to that selection from Trump, where he was talking about AI in very similar terms to how we talked about nuclear weapons for 50 years and how we talked about how they fell into the wrong hands. It would be pandemonium and the world would die. And what I find interesting about that is if you believe that, then does never come necessary to instantly nationalize all of the AI assets. If this is something that is
so dangerous akin to weaponizing plutonium in uranium, then it's not just enough to have it controlled by a couple of market participants like open AI or anthropic. At this point, it would seem too dangerous to be held by civilians at all. So we should probably just go and nationalize anthropic because if we can't trust them to not destroy the world clearly, that's not an asset. They need to have any control over. And yet they're not asking for that at all. The guy Jacob, who thinks it's going to destroy humanity, he's not asking for that at all. They're not talking about canceling their IPO. That's the big thing that's coming up. And speaking of not being able to trust them, we've separately had over the past few months, there is the hugging face incident. If you guys aren't familiar with that, that's one of these AI trained agents kind of broke out and tried to hack another company while being trained. And it appears there's other incidents that are similarly. And the example I can think of is if we let's say somehow nuclear weapons were developed by a private company. And then they said, guys, we have problems. We just we keep detonating
these nuclear weapons and they're dropping, fall out everywhere. Well, well, someone, we need to slow down on nuclear weapons to stop these detonations from endangering the public. And you just kind of look and go, have you guys considered not setting off nuclear weapons near cities, not doing wildly dangerous things? Or if they were saying, if you're a firearms maker and you're testing them by just going outside and spraying your gun wherever and if it hits someone, that's too bad. It feels like they're warning us about these dangers and these dangers feel entirely generated by the companies themselves. And they use that as an argument for giving them more power because they 100% want to be in the room, writing all these regulations that they're proposing. Well, Blake, you're really into game theory and you, you can just imagine some of these like AI tech entrepreneurs giving game theory, you know, prompts to their own AIs and playing out this scenario. And if there is some vast conspiracy, maybe they've gained this all out and AIs helped
them do it. I'm just throwing it out there. Because I think some of this might come off as too complex, you know, too many steps ahead, 5D chess. No, no, no. These AIs helped, could help them play these stuff out the whole way. By the way, it's JD Vance. Is there really a goal? Yeah. There's really vulnerable when you interact with these people. A lot of them, they are very smart, but they do use AI a lot. Yeah, I think they cook their brains a little bit. I think so, too. Here's JD Vance calling a little BS on this just like you did, Sean. He's singing your song something that we're concerned by, but we want to make sure that we actually regulate smartly and we're thoughtful about the risk here. So there are obviously risks to AI. There are some benefits to AI. I have to say just personally, I feel a little bit weird about the fact that you have so many frontier AI tech companies kind of coming to the government and begging the government to regulate them. It feels a little bit to me like a bit of a Trojan horse. So I think we just
have to be careful about this. I think that's prudent. And to both of your your basic takes here, I want to play this clip because I think it's amazing. This is the Amazon robot driving off up here literally, it's not 20. That's real. Sean, is that video, the human race falling into the sea or is that AI hitting a bubble and this is a elaborate scheme to pull the wool over all of our eyes? I mean, was Joe Biden driving it? I don't know. I don't think that was, I don't think that particular thing is a metaphor for anything technology fails. Stuff doesn't work machines wig out. I just this whole thing just there's something about it that feels so manufactured to go from zero to hysteria overnight. There's always something else going on. And I'm reminded by a very famous JP Morgan quote, JP Morgan, the banker who said every man has two reasons for everything he does,
a good reason and the real reason. So Daria on the AI guys have given us the good reason. I would like to know what the real reason is. I think that's a great place to leave it. Sean Davis, the Federalist, a great American institution, check it out, support their work. We'll talk to you again soon, Sean. Thank you, sir. Midterm elections are coming up and control of Congress is on the line. If there's one thing financial markets hate, it's uncertainty and uncertainty is exactly what the next few months are going to bring in 2024. If it taught us anything, it's that uncertainty breeds volatility between now and November could be one of the most volatile stretches for the stock market and the economy. So you owe it to yourself to have a plan. Here's the good part. There's a simple way to protect what you've built and that's gold, physical gold and silver, let you hedge against that volatility. And there's no better partner for it than noble gold investments. For over a decade, noble gold has helped everyday Americans protect their wealth with precious
metals. They make it simple. They make it easy and they make it safe. You can trust them. Give them a call 877-646-5347. Mention the Charlie Kirk show that's all you got to do and they'll do the rest. What if we ran our world like we run a kindergarten classroom? Because at the end of the day aren't we all just really big kindergarteners? That's James Tauriko who I'm told has a credible shot of becoming a senator out of the state of Texas. Can somebody say nanny state? Because that's really what we mean there. He wants everybody to
behave like kindergartners. Rich bears is about to help us. Break it all down and more. Rich, give me the hard news first. Give me the hard news first. At Tauriko, he actually has a chance, doesn't he? He does indeed. A serious chance. At this point, look, let me just put it plain. If we don't get young men to vote, Tauriko is going to win. And so are a lot of other people. It's the plain truth of it. You know, the midterm convention, I think was a good idea. I think it was something new, which is why we didn't dump all the polling like you saw others do last week, Andrew. We didn't do that. We were in the field. We'll show people the baselines to benchmarks for both, but we went through the weekend and wrapping up today. We have a ton of states coming out. We have our new national benchmark coming out. But we intentionally, I just honestly can't believe pollsters did do that right after Labor Day, knowing a convention was coming, which was historic. Nobody's ever done before. And given that poll, you know, we've seen polling bumps with conventions for presidential cycles,
I thought the prudent thing as a pollster to do was to wait and see if there was a bump. Did you see a bump? The bump is very small. It's it's it's it could be noise. We'll see without a doubt, though, it's it's small, but it was probably a move in the right direction, right? I mean, I got energy listening to RFK junior. I think that sweet that I did his full speech was amazing. By the way, everybody should check it out. So was it like two million engagements or something? People were energized by the stuff. I thought, Vance did a great job. Thought done. Junior did a great job. There was a lot of good speeches. And it fired me up. It actually fired me up. Check this out, Rich. Uh, once again, I say real quick. Oh, there's evidence. There is evidence. It did fire up a part of the Republican base. There's just no doubt. Uh, we've been tracking them at like 29, 30% of the electorate, which is a dive from 40 since November of 2024. They're back up to 34. You know, the problem is, you know, the is the independent vote. And what we need to see is that energy start to drift into the independent vote because the truth is each party has their own
leaners guys. It's very small amount. That's truly independent. And if you got you got to get your energy up first. And then that bleeds into your independence, which will shrink the margin that your opponents winning them by. So that's what we have to see. And it is moving in the right direction. Has that part of speaking of, yes, it, you know, of energy and all of that rich. So you say, whether the polls show a bump in the way you might in a presidential year, where people watching it, where people compared to the presidential ones, which it does seem get tens of millions of viewers, did a lot of people tune in to see those speeches? In particular, did people who are not as Charlie would say four out of four Republicans, did those people tune in see what was being said? Honestly, Blake, it was compared to a presidential, I think we expected it to be less, but not that it's not as much as if you're on the right. You would have hoped for. But any amount counts. I mean, some of these races will be decided by a half a point, a point. So we may look back and say, you know what? Getting getting Republicans juiced, save that seat,
save that district. So, you know, I don't want to, I don't want to downplay it at all at this point. You know, I thought the vice president gave a barn burner too. I thought it might even be the best speech of his career. I'd have to go back and look at the clarion again, which was also really good. But the president was hilarious. I totally agree. It was textbook Trump, the meat telleriko thing was hilarious. You know, yeah, you have to juicer on the. And JD, JD telling that, JD telling that that protester with the Mexican flag to get the hell out of it. I'm a plane ticket. Yeah, that was great. So here's an interesting development. I did not predict this. Remember that the Senate leadership fund spent $100 million against Ken Paxton, $100 million. Now you can't make this stuff up. At least now they're coming in with a $50.2 million dollar by, throw up 168. The current amount of ad spend from the Senate leadership funds, Texas pack in the Texas Senate Senate, Senate race in their markets totals 50.2 million. That's no joke, Rich. I know it's late. The hour is late. But again, we're talking about
incremental half point, half point. Can we get it over the top? This is a big, a big development. Is it not? It is. And you know, you're going to have some people who are mad or going to say, you know what, they could have spent 150 if they didn't spend 100 to assassinate handpacks in his character. Right. But where we are, where we are, guys. And I got to tell you that announcement came from weeks of hard work behind the scenes from a lot of different people coming at them from all sides, effectively shaming the Republican establishment class, the donor establishment class, shaming them, shaming leaders and basic threatening is another way to put it. Like, look, if you do this and I'm not going to get into phone calls I have had in the past couple of weeks, but I don't care if you like compacts or not. Let me put this as clearly as I can to everybody right now. Texas is the biggest electoral college vote piece in the Republican coalition puzzle. If you lose this Senate race this time, you will embolden Democrats. I have seen this story happen over the years, many times, Virginia, actually California, Virginia,
Georgia. And then they become incredibly difficult to come back. Colorado, Nevada just came back. And it's a hard battleground. We just in Arizona, they were trying to do that. We can't afford to lose this state. If you lose it, they will go hard for it in 28. And we don't have very many people that can hold it if you want the honest truth. I mean, everyone thinks demographics stay at a time. They don't. You know, it would be you need to hold a state. This is the line. So this is the line. Paxing cannot lose this race. All right. I totally agree. I'm going to get Ken on the show this week because we want to we want to do our part because it's too important. Okay. So two important. Now let's look at Michigan. Now we've you've got Rodgers had some polling that showed him up. Elsaid is dealing with this. I know. I know. I you've never been bullish on I just want to cards on the table. But Elsaid is dealing with some nasty Hassan Piker vibes. He's not disavowing him. Everybody asks him about that time and time again. He's a smooth talker. By the way, I saw some tweet. I'm stealing this from him. But it's so true. If you
watch it and Blake will Blake will agree. I'm pretty sure. If you watch any Democrat, they're all just trying to do their best Obama impersonation. It's all like yes. Bootleg Obama. But like Cal Rico's doing it. Elsaid's doing it. How came Jeffery is having all of them do it. But Elsaid, he thinks he thinks he can be Obama. I just the good people of Michigan for the love. Do not put this guy in. He's the biggest snake on the board. And he's by the way, he'll he'll abort children until they're like a year old. I mean, this is what these guys are doing. Anyways, I know you're not bullish on it. But give me that give me the landscape. I'll be honest with you next door. I'm more bullish on Minnesota. And I will give the landscape on Michigan. But I really do think there was a pullout last week. Everyone got a little shocked because that same pull had a Florida close, but also had Minnesota close. We're going to have Minnesota pretty close too. I'm just being real. And I think it's because yes, Democrats elected Peggy Flanagan when we were pulling for Lindell over the summer, which I wish Lindell would have done another poll before
the election. But when we were pulling over the summer, we could very clearly see that Angie Craig was a much stronger candidate. And by much stronger, I say she was beating Telphoya by let Michelle Tafoya by like 17 points. And then between Michelle Michelle and Peggy Flanagan, that race tight until like low single digits. She is a flawed candidate. So it's a margin of air race. It's like five. It's going to be like five seven, you know, bear with me, but it's close. Andrew it's close. So the real. Okay. That's interesting. And there are third parties on that ballot as well. And Minnesota is a long history of voting for third parties. Now the same will be true of Michigan. But this is the problem. And Minnesota people could say, well, we're it's the same thing. It's just that what is the state that voted for Bernie Sanders and upset was the biggest midterm presidential. Excuse me. It was the biggest presidential primary erasants Gary Hart and New Hampshire decades before which state over, you know, shocked the world and voted for Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton, even though she had a huge lead. That was the state of Michigan,
which state many of those voters that were openly calling themselves socialists then drifted over to Donald Trump instead of voting for the establishment left wing candidate Hillary Clinton in the fall. That was, I mean, it's the state of Michigan. The the southeastern Michigan is a funny animal guys. And the in-arbor area has gotten significantly more liberal over time. There's a reason he's not disavowing or whatever you want to call it as on-piker. And it's because there's, you know, 140, 150,000 Muslim votes there. And they're pissed about the war. And he doesn't want to upset a part of his face that he knows he can count on to come out. And, you know, I look, I take this guy as a bigger threat than them most, I think, because at the end of the day, and we're doing the political violence survey again, at the end of the day, Democrats, even if they call themselves moderate, they don't cross over. They didn't cross over for for, for, uh, mayaris is in for the attorney generals race in Virginia. They lied to us about a week until two weeks until the election. And they
said, I may cross over. I may not vote. At the end of the day, they did. And they voted for Jay Jones who fantasized about killing his political opponent. The problem with El Sayed that I'm worried about is very much like the reverse Donald Trump problem. He's not only going to get those voters who can hem and haul all they want, but they won't cross over. He's also going to get some voters that we don't see coming. And that's my fear with El Say. It's my fear with all of these DSA candidates. And the party is a super majority socialist party. And the media doesn't want to talk about it, but it's true. We tracked it longer than anybody. It's like 66 percent. I totally believe that. I told you know, it's, it's a, they're fanatics. Guys, I, you know, I'm going to quickly, really, really quickly tell a story and I can see clock ticking down. Democrats wiped the floor with Republicans in Pennsylvania over this last 25 off cycle. They took control of school boards. They took control of county supervisors, township supervisors, different over there, Commonwealth. They literally put together PBS, not exactly Fox News, put together a documentary to talk about
these school fights over COVID. They use raw power and they just went and canceled it. Knowing they could piss off Larry over at PBS, knowing they could piss off Richard May, who's the director, they didn't care. They said, we don't want people to see how nuts we are. You're not allowed to do your premiere at the community college. So I, two years is not that long of a time. I think we all have forgotten what it's like when Democrats govern and we all need to wake up right now. I think that's so true. Our attention spans are like this. Don't forget what they did to us. 5,000 is going to happen 100%. And the reason is because our country is taking it in brilliant and brilliant the dollar. And it's going to happen because the people deserve it because they were pretty so badly by the Democrats and by a bite. All right, that's President Trump doubling down on something he said at the midterm RNC, which is that he, if we hold the house in the Senate and obviously we got the presidency for two
more years, if we keep control, he's going to reward the country with $5,000 dividend checks. Rich, question for you, how is that polling because as a deficit hawk, instantly, I'm like, hold on. We can't be printing money out of thin air. That's how we got ourselves in this mess. But for normies and they hear, oh, it's maybe 5,000 for me, 5,000 for my spouse, that's 10,000 bucks. That can make a big difference in normal people's lives. Is it play well? It look, first, the idea of it, it does. Now 5K is not 2K. And I was talking to Mark Mitchell about this. We had both done the 2K one last year. And most people actually said it's at $2,000. Just give it back to the treasury and help pay down the deficit. 5K is a little different. And I think that there's a lot of people that are in a lot of trouble and hurting pretty badly in this country. I just quoted the president's post about this on true social with generally like just
the reality of it, which is I don't think it's a good policy either. But it is good politics. And we're in deep crap. So, you know, Democrats are going to come in and they're going to try to talk about freebies up and down Andrews. So until we learn how to slide back the group, you know, like the new deal. And until we learn how to slide back this culture that is taken root in our country, you know, they might as well just line up behind Trump. Because let me tell you what the voter said on this. A couple of things. One is a credibility issue, which is why Republicans should get back to Congress and lean in and what the president's saying and try to actually pass something to make it look like they're behind him in something, some way shape or form. Because there's a credibility issue and people said, look, Republicans promised this a few times already and we didn't get it. The other thing that people said was, you know, like as far as that argument, you know, in response to what you're saying, people would be would respond like very simply. If you can write a blind check to a government, this government, that government, you claim Israel, you can give me five K. If you can give corporate corporations who are making
billions of dollars, fortune 500 companies, all of these tax breaks, you give me five. And I know that's what a conservative one here. But it's sort of like bad bad policy, good politics to some of us. Like I know where I am on. Yes, my brother. It's bad policy. What a worry rich. Yeah. It may pull well. It may even maybe I could bail us out on this one. Do you worry it's for lack of better idiom? It's it's eating the seed corn of politics that it does feel like 5K for everyone. I think the figure was a 1.5 trillion total figure. The Republicans probably won't pass that next year, even if they win. And then you'd go into 28. And the number one thing they can say is, well, they lied about that and you're just you're screwed. Well, that I mean, that's ultimately a problem with the Republican party, though. I mean, of course, I do worry about that. But I think I worry more that we're going to lose, you know, and they're going to do this period. They're going to do that and worse. I mean, but like I just did an interview at New King Ridge before me was another
gentleman. I actually didn't look at it. I didn't realize how fast we're approaching 50 trillion. And then listening to the gentleman on what what is pushing that and conservatives love to talk about the nanny state, which is true and rightfully the you know, right, they should. But the military spending in this country, the military industrial complex is raping this country. And most people aren't going to care about the debt that's being racked up from social security or some health care program when there are, you know, there's all of this money that nobody ever even dares to talk about touching. So we're going to lose this argument and then lose these elections. And then it's just going to be free money for everybody until the thing comes cracked down. So I mean, it's unfortunate product to where we are. Yeah, Brad, we still got a balance of budget. I'm committed to that completely as a conservative, but bad policy, good, good politics. Okay. Second thing, yeah, they're attributing, they're attributing this to JD Vance. I'm not sure what the backstory is. But he's saying, hey, let's provide some money to, you know, married couples where the mom stays
at home. The dad goes to work and instead of sending your kids to government run daycare centers, this is going to help offset some of the costs for working families. Thoughts on that. Good policy, good, good, good politics. Listen, if it's what I heard the vice president talking about and I, and you said you, and I'm just being clear because you said I'm not sure whether they're attributing this to him, but I did hear something that he said that is on this policy. And if it's that, then that's latter politics. Clear as can be. And I know you can't read the title right there, but we're just in a period guys. The age of ideology is over. So this idea that we're going to like roll back the clock with conservative principles, it's just not going to happen. So, you know, this, we don't have to give people a handout, but there is a difference between a handout and a handout. And given the deficit that we put young people and young families in through no fault of their own, let's be real. They didn't, you know, they didn't stack on like young millennial family didn't stack on this trillions and trillions in debt. They didn't put these programs together.
Until we handle that and address that, then this is going to be the reality of our world. You know, you try to talk about tax cuts for corporations. But does it hold well? We're going to give, yes, it does. Yes. Okay. This is long been a winning issue. I remember Ivanka and Trump 1.0, the president's daughter, tried to do something similar. She got met with a lot of resistance from the traditional conservative wing of the party. And it hurt them. It hurt them. You know, it hurts their brand because their voters are left wondering, who controls this party? What do you guys believe in? Yeah. No, I get it. I worry that we're confusing people about our principles. I really do. We also have a midterm to win. And so we got to figure this out. So, I want to go through the issues. Okay. Now, AI data centers, flock cameras. Now, after watching the vandalism to Charlie's camera, like all of a sudden, I'm like, do we have flock cameras around here? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Rads over recently. But my question is, if you're going to support them, all right. So here's my idea on flock cameras. If you have a per capita murder rate
over a certain amount, then you get flock cameras. Okay. That like deal with that first. Like crime stuff. Yeah. Like crime stuff. Yeah. This is where I was going to go with this. Honestly. And I think maybe this maybe, you know, surprising for some people to hear, but I have my poster hat on and then I have my own views. I know flock people will instantly look at it. I got some surveillance state. Not if it's not hurting your own people. This is politics. You you reward people who vote for you and support you. And you don't care about the rest if they're never going to support you. This should be in urban areas of high crime. Look guys. Look what happened with GoPros and body cams for police officers and ice. Thank you. And we have them. Yeah. I mean, but that again, it's like we tried to talk about these issues. But do they say? Well, which do they call? They only poll reasonably oak. Well, is if you're talking about them in urban areas to prevent crime, they don't poll well everywhere because people are like, well, this is another red light idea. This is 15 seconds rich dad centers. If you proposition that they bring down energy costs at the same
time, does that flip the script? Because they're very unpopular. You got to couple that with the idea of like the nuclear age, the debate over the nuclear age. People didn't want them, but then we fell behind. You got to have both. Otherwise, it doesn't work. Rich Barrier's Burn it down, author Burn it down. Check out his book today with Josh Willemore.
