The Breakdown | Trump SECRET PARDON Plot for Ghislaine SURFACES after Bizarre Presser

Just two weeks ago, I sat here, I was here on the Midas Touch Network, on the breakdown, after Melania Trump came forward, apropos of nothing in response to no one and thrust to the Epstein files back in the headlines by appearing to get out ahead of some accusations that she has deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein. And I wondered, and I brought out all these receipts and made all of these sort of connections, wondering whether or not she was using the information that she has to pressure Donald Trump and Melania to get a pardon for herself, to get out of prison. And now, just two weeks later, Republicans in Congress support Trump pardoning her. We talked about Melania's assertion that she met Trump totally by chance at a party in New

1:02York City in 1998, even though a document from Gillian Maxwell's own discovery says otherwise. And we got that document in the beginning of March. And I talked about how back in July of last year, after Pam Bondy and Cosh Patel issued an unsigned memo in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend, all quiet like, saying there's no Epstein client list, there won't be any charges, we're not going to pursue anything, we're closing this investigation down. And all of that happened right before Gillian Maxwell was moved to a low security club fed facility. And her sex offender status was waived. And right around that time, a couple of stories came out in the Wall Street Journal about the birthday book and Donald Trump's participation in it, a birthday book that Gillian Maxwell coordinated. And I also talked about how this past March, additional damning Epstein files were released

2:02that had bait stamp numbers on them from Gillian Maxwell's discovery files, including an interview in which an Epstein victim said Trump and Epstein discussed blackmail. And how after the Department of Justice refused to side with Gillian Maxwell on her appeal, the appeal of her conviction to the Supreme Court, Maxwell filed, without any lawyers, a habeas petition to get out of prison, asking the court, please, while my habeas petition is being considered, do not release any of my discovery files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, because releasing those discovery files would really damage my habeas claim. It would prejudice me. And I also talked about how I thought she wanted to keep those files as leverage for doing something, which would be illegal, which might be why no lawyer signed on to it, again,

3:05all speculation. And then Melania comes out with her weird press conference, like I said, in the middle of Maxwell's litigation over her discovery files, and habeas claim, again, a claim no lawyer signed on to, because it seemed to me like Melania was being threatened, perhaps, with the release of more documents or information about her and how she actually met Donald Chant, possibly from Gillian Maxwell herself, in a bid to get a pardon. That may be possibly, she might have been allegedly blackmailing them, and the Department of Justice taught Blanche and Melania, maybe, to get a pardon, totally allegedly, full on speculation. Sounds crazy, I know. Well now, they're considering a pardon. This week, the Department of Justice received a thumb drive with exhibits from Gillian Maxwell as attachments to her amended habeas petition, which the Department of Justice

4:05who's calling duplicative and meritless, and now all of a sudden, all of a sudden Republicans on the Oversight Committee are pushing for Maxwell to get a pardon in exchange for her testimony. Clemency, she doesn't even really need, because unless she murdered somebody, the statute of limitations on her grimes have likely told, that's pretty wild timing, and that's what I'll be discussing on today's episode of The Breakdown. Now, I'll admit, at first, I thought my theory about Gillian Maxwell potentially threatening to release more of her discovery files on Melania and Donald in order to extract a pardon was pretty out there when I posed it here two weeks ago on The Breakdown.

5:07But I never thought that just a couple of weeks later, we would get news that Republicans in Congress now support a pardon for the convicted sex trafficker. I mean, once her appeal was exhausted, and her discovery files became eligible for release under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, she filed that habeas petition. Rosé, no lawyers, to keep her case alive in an effort to keep her discovery files from being released. Is that what happened? Did she want to hang onto those files for some reason? Some totally legal and totally cool reason, and the Department of Justice, by the way, postponing weighing in on her appeal to the Supreme Court twice. And then finally in July, saying they opposed her appeal. And then, right in that same month, or I think the very beginning of the next month, she gets a move to Club Fed.

6:09The DOJ moves her to Club Fed after opposing her appeal. And after stuff, Gillian has started to appear that she has started to appear in the Wall Street Journal. Now, it might not have been from her, right? They say it came from the Epstein estate. But those hit pieces, hit pieces that Trump sued over in the Wall Street Journal all in July of last year. We talked all about this two weeks ago. But it made sense to me that Gillian is holding all the cards, and she's got leverage to try to extract a pardon here. And this week, we learned that not only does her lawyer believe she'll get a pardon, but like I said, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are now supporting a pardon for Gillian Maxwell. Political rights members on the House Oversight and government reform committees are divided on whether President Donald Trump should pardon Jeffrey Epstein's convicted co-conspirator

7:11Gillian Maxwell in exchange for her cooperation in the panel's Epstein investigation. Chair James Comer said in an interview Wednesday. Maxwell, who was deposed by the Oversight Committee as the sole convicted accomplice in the Epstein sex trafficking scheme, previously invoked her Fifth Amendment right in declining to answer the panel's questions. Her lawyer had said that she would only speak, if granted, clemency, a power available solely to Donald Trump, who has not ruled out the prospect of a pardon. This whole time, he never ruled it out. Now, Comer himself says he's not in favor of a pardon, but he refused to name the members who are. And it seems to me that Trump does not want to pardon Maxwell. I mean, it's politically horrible. Hence the club fed, move, and the waiver of the sex offender status, trying to do everything

8:14he can to avoid the political backlash that would certainly come with a pardon. So I find it rather convenient to have Republicans in Congress in favor of a pardon exchange for testimony, because that provides Trump with, well, maybe they think it provides Trump with the political cover to pardon her, I doubt it. Committee Democrats unanimously oppose a pardon for Maxwell. But also this week, Trump's Department of Justice wrote a letter to the judge in Maxwell's case saying they received a package with a thumb drive and an amended complaint from Maxwell for her habeas petition in that letter. The Department of Justice says, quote, yesterday, the government received a FedEx envelope marked with a ship date of April 16th, 2026, that contained a USB drive with the defendant's amended motion and exhibits.

9:15Upon an initial review, the amended motion seems to have some overlap with the defendant's claims in her original motion. Although the claims raised appear to be equally meritless, the arguments pressed by the defendant appear to be fact and document intensive, and thus, we, the government, are not in a position to assess how much of the new material is truly duplicative. However, they say the government does not oppose the court considering the amended motion. Go ahead and consider it even though it's three weeks late. The government promptly will review the materials for redactions. Well, that's also convenient. When you don't have a lawyer, you have to mail your stuff to the pro-say office, the the lawyerless office of the Department of Justice, and then the government gets to review and redact all of it if they want before publishing it on the docket.

10:19And if Gillian Maxwell is doing something nefarious with these files and her motion, lawyer probably wouldn't want to sign on to that, again, just speculating. So Pam Bondy and Koch Patel say in their unsigned July assessment and the shutdown of the investigation that there's no blackmail. They just came out and said it, apropos of nothing, right? But then we learned why later there was a document released from Gillian Maxwell's discovery that says there's totally blackmail. At least one of the Epstein survivors heard Trump and Epstein talking about blackmail. Now Gillian Maxwell ascending documents and exhibits to the DOJ in the mail on USB thumb drives that they can redact before they publish. And then all of a sudden, multiple nameless Republicans are supporting a pardon, providing cover for Trump granting one.

11:20And he's never taken it off the table. Again, I'm just spitballing here, but Occam's razor is pretty sharp. And it seems pretty obvious to me what's going on. Gillian wants a pardon. She's holding the cards and now they're considering it. I bet Jeffrey Epstein wanted a pardon too. But he allegedly died by suicide during a gap in CCTV camera coverage. The same week the FBI interview was published saying he and Donald discussed blackmail. And we didn't see that document until the DOJ released it as a duplicate from Gillian Maxwell's discovery. It's just all coincidence. So is anyone really surprised that Republicans in Congress support a pardon for her? I can hear Donald now. I didn't want to pardon her, but Congress recommended it so she could testify. I didn't want it.

12:21She doesn't need a pardon to testify. You could grant her clemency for testimony, just like they gave her limited immunity and her queen for a day interview right before she was shipped off to Club Fed, asking for Camembert cheese and getting a puppy. But I think Donald is desperate to get out of this situation anyway he can. And he's running out of time. And I think Gillian Maxwell knows it. I think there's I think there's a full court press going on behind the scenes. I imagine we'll know soon enough. And I'm not the only one that's curious about this just a couple of days ago. Representative Krishna Morthy wrote to Todd Blanche saying quote, I am writing to express my disgust at the Department of Justice's reported willingness to pardon Gillian Maxwell. Last week David Oscar Marcus Maxwell's attorney said quote, there's a good chance and for

13:22good reason that Maxwell would get a pardon. It is unacceptable that the DOJ would be engaging at all with such an outrageous request. He went on today. The department has not only failed to fully investigate Epstein Maxwell and their associates. It has also raised concerns that powerful individuals are being shielded from scrutiny. After widespread criticism of the DOJ's refusal to release the full Epstein files, you met with Gillian Maxwell despite her conviction and lack of credibility, including two perjury charges stemming from sworn testimony in 2016. In that meeting, she was transferred to a minimum security federal prison camp in Texas. At a time when reports indicate she could receive clemency from President Trump, these decisions raised serious questions about the department's judgment and priorities.

14:24Yeah. And uh, uh, uh, Krishna Morthy is also making the same demands I made two weeks ago. He's asking Todd Blanche to provide him in writing no later than May 5th, a detailed description and any documents relevant to communications with Gillian Maxwell and her attorney related to a presidential pardon. I would also like to see those documents. I would and now the inspector general at the Department of Justice, I think his name is Blyar. He's been there since about 2007 has opened an inspector general investigation into whether the Department of Justice complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. But it is beyond disgusting to consider a pardon for Gillian Maxwell. And it would be politically costly, especially in a midterm election year.

15:27We would want to know and demand to know which Republicans in Congress pressed for that pardon. There's no other reason on earth to pardon her, unless you're trying to keep certain files in her possession from seeing the light of day. There is no other reason to pardon her. And we can't accept the excuse. Well, Congress said I didn't want to, Congress said I had to pardon her so that she could testify. We can't accept that excuse. Anyway, I appreciate you watching.
