On this special audio only version of The Breakdown, we sit down with Alberta Liberal Party Leader and practicing constitutional lawyer, David Khan to discuss the implications of the significant powers that the UCP granted themselves under Bill 10. In our conversation, we discuss the serious lack of legislative oversight with Bill 10, the UCP’s war on physicians and the fact that Alberta physicians are currently launching a lawsuit against the government for their mishandling of healthcare (all of this during a global pandemic), the perception that the Alberta Government consistently places political theatre above good governance AND (yes there’s an and) we get into the Alberta Governments creation of a literal second class of rules for Albertans dealing with homelessness that not only potentially puts them, but all Albertans at greater risk.
