With nominations ramping up for the next provincial election, so it seems, does the controversy and scandal that comes with them. Recently, a challenger to UCP minister Jason Nixon in the nomination race for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre put their name forward and after a campaign that was showing significant momentum was abruptly disqualified. Tim Hoven is no stranger to politics either. Having already served at the municipal level, there were a lot of questions raised when he was suddenly disqualified. THE UCP claimed that Tim was unfit, but given the scandals that have dogged Jason Nixon since before his political career even started, the explanations for his disqualifications created significant dissonance and a lot of questions. So we decided to take some of those questions straight to the Tim himself.
