The Aurora Hammer Murders

Criminology

About this episode

In January 1984, a series of brutal attacks and murders occurred in the Aurora, Colorado area. These caused city-wide panic and remained unsolved for over 30 years until 2018 when DNA linked an incarcerated man to the crimes. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this series of extremely horrific attacks and murders. Police noticed the similarities in the attacks and murders but had no idea who was behind them. It took advanced DNA testing and the use of genetic genealogy to lead the authorities to a man named Alex Christopher Ewing.
