Tennessee Misses Out on Freeman, Pursues Harris

Freeman, who averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds last season, committed to St. John's on Monday without even stepping. Foot on Rocky Top, he's got two seasons of eligibility left and drew interest from heavy hitters like Kentucky, Alabama, and Yukon 2. Word is, the Voles showed some real curiosity late in the game, according to reports. Kentucky feels this won the most since they poured heavy recruiting time into Freeman. Their border rivals taking another L-fans are buzzing about. Tennessee's portal moves, but is clear they're still hunting for front court help. Right now, the Voles are chasing Wake Forest Guard, Duke Harris Hard, and eyeing one or two more big men before the portal window tightens this. Week, though, players can still jump ship any time.
