It affects only about 200 people in the UK, leaving him unable to smile, speak, stand, or breathe without a ventilator. Doctors at a Manchester hospital once worn his parents of a high-risk early on after an emergency procedure. A public health physiotherapy just one hour every eight weeks meant the family covered most costs for his care. His mum has shared how tough it is with so many kids needing help, but short sessions already show promise in building his strength and skills. Now, a contributions group surprised the family with a 2,500-pound check for a full week of advanced therapy at a specialist. Clinic Starting May 18th in Rexam, Teddy will do 2-4 hours of daily movement exercises, paving the way for more independence and family time, as he grows stronger.
