We had wall-to-wall phone calls for two plus hours on that. And then Bam out of Bio scores 83 points in a game. Second most points ever. And in a single game in NBA history, only behind Wilt Chamberlain went 100 back in 1962. Coby had that 81 point game in 2006. And Bam out of Bio eclipses that tonight with 83 points in a win over the Washington Wizards. Which, I mean, he ain't scoring 83 points against any good teams. But that's not to take away the accomplishment. And by the way, we'll get an update on Team USA because there is a major shot going on right now in that game against Italy. We'll get you posted on that in a couple of moments.

3:23But really quickly, let's just get an update on a couple of conference championship games that have wrapped up here. We got a couple more tickets punched to March Madness. First, it was already happening no matter what. L.I.U. was going to the big dance after they won their semi-final game. Because Mercyhurst, who is their opponent in the NEC final tonight, this is only their second year in division one. So they're in eligible for the NCAA tournament. So L.I.U. was getting in anyway. But the sharks fans up. They win the game anyway. 79-70 L.I.U. going dancing for the first time since the first year that I was calling games for them back in 2016 when Derek Kellogg was their head coach. Great coach, by the way, hell of a man. Rod Strickland, though, their current head coach, former Nick's point guard. He's got them in the big dance. They win the game 79-70 L.I.U. going dancing. They'll probably be a 16-seed. They're probably going to play in Dayton in one of the 16-seed first four games next week. In the horizon league, right state, they're going dancing.

4:27They beat Detroit Mercy 66-63. So congratulations, right state. They're not wrong state. They're right state. They're going to the big dance. And then, let's see, in the CAA, Hofstra, the pride, the pride of Long Island, Hofstra's going dancing. They win against Mummuth, the pride of the Jersey Shore. Hofstra wins at 75-69. Hofstra's going to the big dance. They win the CAA championship. And then right now, in the title game, in the Mac, with two ways, which gets played down in Atlantic City in New Jersey. Sienna, underdogs in this game, opening up a can of whoop ass on Merrimax. Sienna's on a 12-0 run right now. They lead a 45-30 with under 12 minutes left to go. That would be a shock. That would be a small shock. And then, in the West Coast Conference tournament championship game, Gonzaga, number 12 Gonzaga.

5:28Right now, they trail Santa Clara 44-40 with 16 minutes left to go. We also had the first round today in the big 12 and in the ACC. None of those results really too consequential other than Stanford losing, which first, any remaining chances they had of getting to the big dance. So there you go. There's your update on the tickets being punched tonight in the world of college basketball here in conference championship week. All right, 310-840-4910. Let's get back to the phones. I was like, I mean, what are the chances?

6:30I was thinking will at the time because that's obviously the first day that everybody goes to and how the will record feels impossible. But I was like, what are the actual chances? He wides up in that, you know, 75-80 range. And lo and behold, he's number two all time. It's only two wills 100. And it's unbelievable, bro. And I was talking to the, to your call screener. You know, listen, you said it too. Bams, like pretty much a perennial all-star. He's a gold medalist, a gold medal winner with Team USA. But when it's all said and done, I kind of feel like, well, you know, like those, you know, like the baseball and hockey, like the whole of very good accounts. Like, that's probably even a little bit of a undersell to bam at a bio, too. But what I'm trying to say is he's obviously no vote chamberlain. He's obviously no Kobe Bryant. If you gave me, you know, like 20 guesses, that's the who would ever be in the middle of those two names in terms of single, you know, single game play per forbid to NBA history, I'd probably come up with like 50 names before bam at a bio. So just looking back now when, you know, 50, 20 years from now, when we're talking shop, talking ball with our grandkids and, you know,

7:32remember March 9th, 2026 with bam at a bio was at the free throw light 40 times and had the second most efficient or second highest point total for an NBA player to single game and NBA history. I just can't believe this is real life, bro. And I mean, the crossby news is crazy enough. And now we got NBA history being broken. Yeah, I want to get your thoughts on on Max Crosby Ross. But yeah, three time all star is bam at a bio, five time all NBA defense. So yeah, again, a perennial all star. He's played in two NBA finals. They lost both of them. Miami lost to the Lakers in the bubble and lost to the Denver Nuggets a couple of years ago. But yeah, like you said, he's going to be in like the hall of very good. I don't think bam at a bio is a hall of favor. But yeah, like you said, I mean, he's he's in the in the record books now. That's you never take that away from him. So I just I remember what was that was it last year or two years ago when we had a string. I think it was two years ago. We had a stretch of guys going for 60. It happened like five times in the span of a month.

8:32I didn't get beat. I had like 68 Luca had the game where he scored 74. We had a couple I think Dame. I think Dame had like a 60 burger. And that was like at that point. I was like, wow, like this is what the NBA is going to turn into. And then you know, we have a we have a couple of occasional 50 point games. We haven't had anything like this though in in basically two years. And bam goes for 83 guy that basically had like 10 career three pointers made in the first six seasons of his career. He had seven tonight. And I think yeah, the most insane part of that is he took 43 free throws and made 36 of them. Imagine if he made all 43. Hey, could have had 90. He could have had a 90 burger. So yeah, crazy to say to these dude. What's your thoughts on on the Ravens pulling out of the Crosby trade? I haven't seen all the details. I heard you talk about like the more contract. I know it's it's rumored that it's with his knee. I this kind of goes back to a blanket on who it was last time. But there was a trade in another sport. Oh, Mark Williams with the Lakers.

9:34And then he wound up going to the suns the next off season. So like we've seen this here and there. If I saw you read that Mirage tweet on the air, bro, if that's what winds up unfold and this is going to be legitimately wild. Specifically, the fact that Linderbaum was like an actual, I wasn't, you know, obviously a direct transaction. But the fact that the Raiders got Linderbaum in place, you know, of the Crosby supposedly coming off the books like two days after the trade, we thought was going to be finalized. If that unfolds, that would be absolutely wild. But as far as the Ravens trade man, I'll say that the Jesse Mentor error in Baltimore really couldn't get off to a worst start so far. And it's obviously, you know, who knows what's going to happen once the season starts. But all the free agents they wound up losing. They really haven't brought anything else in. Besides Max Crosby and out of that's out the window. You know, Baltimore's seen some better days. So, you know, besides the past couple weeks. But I don't know, man. Today's just been wild in the sports world. Yeah, to say the least, Ross, appreciate the call, man.

10:34All right, I just, I want to keep the sports action coming here. Let's pivot to the World Baseball Classic. Let's pivot to Team USA. And let's get producer Brandon Combs in the mix here. Because Combs, what the hell is going on right now? Team USA is getting smacked around by Italy. Now, it's an Italian American like, yeah. Oh, Italy. But also, I want, I would like to see Team USA win the, win the World Baseball Classic. How are we down five? Nothing to Italy right now in Houston? What is transpired? Pat, I'm not happy right now. You know, you guys, you guys in New York sent us picture to Team USA, Nolan McLean. And he gives up bomb after bomb after bomb to team Italy. Look, and also, this team Italy team is really freaking good. They've got some guys on this team that can really hit. I need to line up to wake up for Team USA.

11:37They got some legit, they got some legit big league, big league players. They've got a new Pasquatino from Kansas City, Tom and a can zone from Seattle. We got Jack Kaggleon on the Royals, right? One of their top prospects. They got some players. You didn't mention Miles Masterbony, who me and, me and, you know, Monti know very well from his days here with the Cubs. You know, we, but yeah, I didn't mention him because he's not in the starting lineup tonight. You didn't, you didn't mention him because you didn't know who he was. I know Miles Masterbony. I know all about Masterbony. So I look, I am, I, there's plenty of time left in this game. I'm not saying it's over. I need Team USA's lineup to wake up because they, they, they have the better pitching staff than Team Italy. So they do have time to get back into this game. But yeah, man, it's just been a couple of nukes. Kyle Teal hit a nuke and it's just been, I mean, man, it's been ugly. Pasquatino hit a nuke. Like, yeah, Kyle Teal.

12:38That's a real prospect. Unlike Pete Crowe Armstrong. Kyle Teal is going to have four pounds to share for the white socks. Wow, Italians also have John Birdie. Great Yankees platoon player. Is John Birdie still on the Yankees? I should probably know that one. It was on the Cubs for a little bit. He's a free agent. It looks like I don't think he has signed in free agency. But maybe if he, well, he's over three tonight. But if John Birdie is able to club one out against Team USA, which looks like anything is possible at this point, maybe that gets him his next big contract. But yeah, he makes a good point too. What's more, it's because PCA is out of prospect anymore. He's a major league all-star. And we'll see if he gets back there this year. Don't count your chickens. He's 0 for one. He's hitting 143 in the WBC. You know, he won't be there. No one freaking McLean. That's who won't be there. What's more surprising, the fact that we haven't scored a freaking run off. Is it Michael Lorenzen and now the Italian bullpen or what's more surprising is that Italy has five runs?

13:42It's probably that we have a score to run off of the off of this pitching staff. They have a bullpen that you can get to. It needs to start now. They're in the fifth inning. You got to start chipping away at it. Plenty of time, Pat. Plenty of time. Don't get me going right now. Plenty of time to come back and be team Italy. Michael Lorenzen had an ERA of 464 this year for the Royals. But that's not that bad. I mean, he made 26 starts. Well, of course, you think it's not that bad. You had an ERA of 588. All right, come on. You're upset. You're upset because my Italians are beating team US. Oh, now they're you're now they're you're Italian. Okay. Hey, look, I'm half Italian. Yeah, I'm an Italian American. All right. And so why can't I have a little pride in the Missouri? Okay. Hey, Pete Crowe.

14:42I'm sure by the way, just hit a home run just so you know. Did he really at this very moment? He did. It went off the foul pole. Yeah, five to one. Five, nothing game. Guy decides he wants to go deep. Where was he getting us right back into a pat with two outs in the fifth inning and is now five to one. Now five run deficit is now a four run deficit. And you're going to demean the home run. You're going to demean the home run. Why? Because you gave up so much of them when you were in college. If Aaron judge hit that home run, you probably would have said, oh, this guy's not clutch. You could hit a home run in a five. No, I'd be freaking excited the same way I'm excited for this one right here. All right. So if we lose to Italy, what is so what? So what? Yeah, like we're not going to go to the you look like team USA's not going to the quarter finals. Big difference between number one and number two. And they called it a foul ball, not a home run. So they took the home run off the board? I guess. Look to me like you went off the foul pole. Oh, man.

15:43You're like crashing out right now because team USA is going to lose a freaking pool play game. And they're still going to get into the quarter. Relax. You relax. It's a difference between. Saying it was definitely foul. Okay. Well, I'm trying to watch and talk and pay attention to the song. I thought it went off the foul pole, but I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Come's got you know, go for a bit. I try to give you a little bit of, uh, you know, airtime. I'm just saying that's why I didn't realize it was definitely foul. That's all I'm saying.
