Teacher's Life Ruined by Online Blackmail

The guy behind it, 21-year-old Muawiya Amin, from Derby, posed as a woman on Instagram and got the teacher to film himself in the schools, disabled toilets, Amin demanded 1,000 pounds, or he'd send it to the teacher's boss, and he ended up jailed for 15 months after admitting blackmail. The teacher fell for the fake profile quick, shared the video thinking it was private, then Amin hid him with the threat. They settled on 400 pounds paid through PayPal, but Amin shared it anyway with students at the school. The fallout hit hard, the teacher got fired right away, and that same night attempted suicide, but a random phone call from someone saved him. In court, he described the emotional racket left him in, total devastation. Judges called Amin out for going through with it even after the cash, saying he knew exactly what he was doing, and wrecked the guy's life.
