Drivers in Tampa take note, the Westbound Interstate 4 entrance ramp from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Hillsborough County closes this weekend for construction. The ramp shuts down at 11 p.m., Friday March 6 and should reopen before 6 a.m., Monday March 9 as long as the weather holds. To get around it, head east on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, turn left on to 50th Street, then right onto Columbus Drive to reach the Westbound Interstate 4 ramp. Officials have set up message boards and signs to guide you and they stress driving carefully in the work zone while watching for crews.
