0:00Well, from some of the day to Hollywood, Taman's ear sock has been a familiar face on our screens for more than two decades and she's only just wrapping up getting ready for more The Beloved Aussie star has spent much of this year filming a bunch of new projects, also while traveling with her family and splitting her time between Australia and Nashville. And one of her recent films, You Me and the Penguins, is enjoying a fresh wave of success on Netflix, The Incredible Taman's ear sock. Join us now live in the studio. Hey, incredible Taman's ear sock. You see, I thought I'd have penguins like here with me, I missed them. We were so close. Sorry, yeah, yeah. I'm putting my rider. Yeah, we were like penguins. We hung up for a match and we're done. We're disappointed every day. Yeah. I'm always great to have you in this studio. You're always so busy. Let's talk about the penguins. Tell us about the film that you shot in 2021, right? It was actually five years ago and it was during the COVID time. So I remember coming here, not a lot of planes were leaving. And we had the entire plane to ourselves.

1:00There was five people on board when we got here. We had to quarantine for two weeks and then we were able to shoot this little movie. And you know, you just never know what's going to happen with it. You do something and you have this special experience. And then sometimes people never see the film. I've done so many films that we've never seen. And then I'm so glad it's got its new life on Netflix. And people I was seeing it was Top 4, which is insane. I was like, never have I ever been Top 4 Netflix. I was very excited to share that news. And yeah, it's just a cute romantic comedy. And I think it's nice. In this day and age, we're like, you know, there's just so much drama. And it's just nice to watch it with the family. You can watch it with the kids. And my kids are actually in this one. All right. Cute. That is what's that only about streaming too. You know, a lot of fabulous projects find that audience. They find the audience they probably always should have. Speaking of which, I know there's a Christmas movie that you've shot. I know you probably can't talk too much about it because it's still to be. I'm not a lad. I'm like under embago. Hang on. Hang on.

2:01Hang on. They were like, don't mention it on the morning. You need to get a bit of the embago. Just a little paint. What can we do? Yes. And keep in mind, I came on your podcast. I said a ton of things I wasn't supposed to say. I know. I do owe you a lot. So I'm going to give you a little bit. So we shot it in Queensland in Brisbane. Yeah. And I was shooting a month ago. So we shot for four weeks. It's a Christmas movie. It will be in theaters. And it will be on air, like to watch on TV. And it comes out in the end of November. And I played the lead. And it was so fun because we were like fakes knowing it, you know? So like, there was, and it didn't smell so good. I was like, I was like, am I getting toxic? Something from this snow. But it looked so beautiful. And it will be in America too. So it's like a co-production with Australia and America. And are the kids watching this one? Yeah, they can watch this one. Although my eldest is now watching Pritalal Liars. And I do when she has her friends over, I come as my character who's like a villain. And I walk up the stairs just to scare everyone. I love that. That's a lot of credit now. It's great.

3:01She likes me now. Yeah, she's kind of like going on that mean sort of streak, you know, when they're 12-13. But she's like, oh, my mom's Jenna from Pritalal Liars. Yeah, so cool. She's like so cool. Yeah, a lot of straight appeal there. You've also been traveling a lot. Yes. You've been everywhere on your Instagram. We can see it in your pen, which looked like a fabulous trip. Yeah, I don't even recognize my family. I'm just like, peace out. You know, I don't know. We went to Japan, my husband and I, because we're shooting a movie next year in Japan without production companies. So we're going to be shooting there for like six weeks at the end of March. So I'm really excited to go. And I love Japan so much. I feel like I'm meant to, you know, I used to live with in my room with all the Japanese symbols and everything, because I loved it so much. So it's meant to be. It was meant to be, yes. And the girls going with you to that trip, on that trip? They will. So we go for Christmas to Japan with the girls. And then we will go next year to shoot the film. And can we talk about that film now? Sure. It's our production company.

4:01It's Nanda and Vaga. What do we know? What do we need to know about that film? It's really cool. It's that in Japan is actually set in one room. And I can't say too much, but this is like a thriller. This girl leaves her family life and something goes wrong. And she goes to Japan and she meets someone and she goes up to this room. I'm not going to tell you too much about it. And then she gets stuck in the room. And then she can't get out. And then it's kind of this idea, Balak, is it her mental state that's making her crazy or are there other people watching? And yet, it's financed. And we're going to shoot that next year. So that's really, really great. That sounds a little bit like that storyline that way, Pete, when we got stuck in the studio, I was wondering what to do with my daughter. For three weeks. Wait, that was just your nightmare. That wasn't like, then you woke up. And you were like, oh my gosh, thank goodness. Sally talks about therapists a lot about that particular film.
