Talks 429 - Andrés Reséndez, Author, "A Land So Strange"
About this episode
This discussion involves actual Spaniards! The kind that American students learn at least a little about: Early explorers of the present-day southeastern U.S. as well as Mexico. But most of us never heard of the particular long and harrowing expedition that dwindled a force of 300 to only four men, a story told in the book "A Land So Strange" (discussed in Books Episodes 1498 and 1499). In this talk, our very own Spaniard gains additional background from Andres Resendez, the author of that fascinating historical account.
