About this episode
A report on corruption and a cover-up by city officials of Tacoma, Wash., focusing on David Brame, the city’s police chief. After 11 years of marriage, David's wife Crystal filed for a divorce. John Hathaway, who operated the website, "The New Takhoman," anonymously received the divorce papers, which contained details about the couple’s marriage, including allegations of sexual demands, abuse and death threats. John published the information, titled “Tacoma Confidential,” and the story made headlines. Shortly afterwards, David shot Crystal in the head and then turned the gun on himself.
