Congressman Lee Zeldin lost by less than six percent in deep blue New York in his bid to be governor. It was one of the closest gubernatorial races in the state in 20 years. While he didn’t win, his success at the top of the ticket helped Republicans flip four U.S. House Seats, including the defeat of Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Rep. Sean Maloney.
