Syracuse Basketball: Clean Sweep of Coaching Staff

0:00On March 11, Syracuse University has clean house with its men's basketball program. The entire coaching staff won't return for the 2026 27 season. That includes third-year head coach Adrian Atri, general manager Alex Klein, and assistant's Alan Griffin, Dan Engelstad, Brendan Straun, and Peter. Cora Sinati. The team wrapped up a rough 2025-26 campaign with a 15 and 17 record. They fell in the first round of the ACC tournament to SMU. Over three years under Atri, Syracuse posted a 49 and 48 mark overall. No one saw the NCAA tournament during that stretch, a rare drought for one of college hoops blue blood programs. Their last appearance came back in 2021. Fans and insiders expected more from this story to squad. Outgoing athletics director John Wildhack announced the moves and promised the fast search for the next head coach. The transfer portal swings open next month, so timing matters. A new athletics director should get names soon too.
