Synagogue Attack, University Shooting: Acts of Violence

A suspect drove a vehicle into the hallway of a large synagogue complex in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan on Thursday afternoon, but security. Guard stopped him before anyone inside was hurt. The complex includes an early childhood center with 140 children and more than 30 staff members. The FBI is calling it an act of violence against the Jewish community. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Aiman Muhammad Ghazali, a naturalized US citizen born in Lebanon. He came to the United States in 2011 on a family visa and became a citizen in 2016. Officials say he was armed and his vehicle caught fire after the crash. Just last week, Ghazali lost four family members and an Israeli air strike in his hometown of Mashgata, Lebanon.
