I'm your host, Shannon Garcia. To talk about episode four, we're into week two. The bounty tribe. Finally, craft somewhat communally. As Harry, I'm sure would have wanted, not like this. We got a new advantage with a couple of fun challenges. And I'm here to talk about it with somebody who's not usually here on night one.

But we're switching things around. It's free up here. Thank you for being here. Hey, happy to be here. The old serpentine. Last one in last week, first one out this week. Yeah. And it's interesting to me because of the fact that I don't cover the show. I've never covered Australian survivor this way. I'm usually used to having like two episode gaps in between. So by the time I come back, everything has already flipped on its head. This was very much a continuation of our last conversation. So. Yeah, that is fun. It's like, I feel like I just spoke to you. And immediately, a lot of the things we spoke about came home to Roost. I have to say, I feel like the show knows I'm about to leave is trying to like root me in by just vindicating me this whole season. I'm like, damn, I've been on point. Can we just say? Okay, I'm like, Mark, don't do that. And then the rest of the trip was like, didn't like it. I'm like, exactly. Harry with the decoy vote. I didn't like it. This went so badly in exactly the way I think we just spoke about, right? Like, okay, maybe you can get one over on here,

but there's so much information from a lot of people who don't wish the best for you. A lot of people, I should say, who don't wish the best for you. What if they choose to use it and Lottie did? And honestly, this was a sniper attack. And the only notes I really have for the Lottie group is like, why not Harry? Like, I would have just gone for the jugular, taken the head off the snake, but I saw an impress with the moon. It's because that I think we can say this real quick. It's because of the fact that Paula was so clearly seen as the decision maker and the controller. They, they thought they went for that out of the snake. I think that's really what it looked like. That's a tomato. Well, I mean, it's not entirely incorrect because I do think that they're working in lockstep. I think the division, the share of credit is probably more 50, 50, but it is very interesting to me that the pivot has been to none of this was a Paula move. So they listen, they got the first taste of it.

I also will say, I don't know if Simon's going to go for a vote on Harry. I think that's another thing to consider. I didn't think about that because they did work in so many people. I think Jackson could have, I think that they got it to that point. But even with that Jackson, they'd have their plurality of five, six with Lindel. And who knows what Lindel was doing is they could really lock Lindel in. And I think that they would, yeah, they'd be okay, even without those numbers. But I do admire how many people they worked in to their group. I say I was vindicated, but I did just give Paula seemingly so recently, three cheesy points. And I'm sure Paula's doing a lot. I don't know, Paula, like I know Harry. I don't want to just be like, well, Harry must be doing it because it's Harry. And if I do, it's a no Harry. And I just met Paula. I just don't think I would want to leave in someone whose nickname was once the cockroach. You know, right before I was up, it just feels like I do think that these returnies that have, you know, more experience under them, you fire a warning shot, which could have been to Simon if it was Harry. But I just, I wouldn't want to give that runway to a returny as much.

I know has the skills to survive in a way Paula has improvement because she has been given the chance. So Lottie's been also just talking about keeping in her, I mean, taking out Harry this whole time. I do want to reflect like from a challenge perspective, but they would swap soon. And I wouldn't agree with that if that were the case. But I mean, I loved everything else. I hate coming in with the criticism because I think this was the move. Like I do think it's good to take the shot. I think Lottie's been talking about it. I think Harry doesn't feel afraid about her. I think there's been this power struggle. She got in in front of him, you know, as much as I've been wary of aggression in these like in those early phase of the game. I think I think she kept in it as many numbers. I love the execution. It fell right. But I just, yeah, I just think I would have pivoted to Harry. But otherwise, I think that I don't know if this is uncouth or not. But I would like to go ahead and just immediately call my shot and say, Lottie's getting the three points in the cheesy me get there. It's not even close. I feel like we don't even need to talk about that. But there's a lot to parse through because I think this might be just the,

these US survivor has done this to me. It's conditioned me because I forget how complex tribes are early on in Australian survivor. Because it genuinely did feel like every time someone heard about the plan, there was a whole like four other people that I forgot were on the tribe who also are not being told about the plan. And it really felt like a four different corners came together to make this happen. And that was very fun for me and I did read the feedback. I did see that for some people this was last episode was also a lot more clear because I mentioned I was kind of blindsided to please tell me that this was not as clear. Tell me that you were a little bit caught off guard. I mean, I will say once we got the tribal, I felt like all right, Paul was gone. I didn't doubt that for a second. But I did like the way the story bounced around from, oh, is it just Lindel to then this person to then, oh, I actually want this person, I actually want this person. I feel like there was a little more intrigue here for me.

Well, the reason I didn't feel shocked by it was the first plot armor. Like, I mean, to be fair, and Harry's name wasn't ever really mentioned as we saw. But I was like, is this Harry's time? I guess Harry's plot armor is many years old and anything could happen. We didn't hear Harry's name as much. And Lindel, I want to talk about it. Lindel has so much plot armor that the plot is almost masking her position in the game. I did kind of through the scramble and like, well, I feel like she'll be okay, but it isn't with an idol. Jackson was a name we didn't really hear on like a concrete plan. And then it did take me the second reason I thought it would be Paul is, I just was like, I paused, I paused the show, where I'm going to have a council and I was like, here, what are the numbers? Because if I thought that Lodi had at least the four of herself, Cameron, Ash, which seems to be a group, and I did think Jackson, and that I thought was at least a four. I'm like, you could be getting a plurality vote. That's what I thought. And we have the Harry faction, even if Simon is with him, because we kind of saw Simon not believing as much about the Paul plan. So I thought that's a three. Yeah. And again, even if Lindel is not going with that, she's going with Jackson's, even if

her whole quote unquote faction, because I do think it's kind of those three groups, if Lindel laws and rich aren't on it, then I might say still win in the four three three. So I'm like, it could be that, but it shifted more from that where laws and rich were on Paula and where Simon was as well. So it was an plurality unfortunately, I was like, give me this gift right before I leave unfortunately not, but I did, I couldn't see how there would be enough votes on another name. But I was interested to see, you know, where else it would go. I think Simon's work was really interesting, Jackson, getting that revenge. There was a lot of interesting stuff, and Lindel voting wrong. So much interesting stuff, but yeah, I did kind of feel like it was Paula's time. Would you say Simon got duped once again? I don't know what is happening with that. I mean, this I found confusing because Lottie is, I think, making up that Paul is going for Simon. And why would she, she's super close with Harry. We've been there. That's what I should say, right? Well, at first, we see Lottie say it to Simon, so I'm like, this is must be a lie. And then I'm like, how many people are just making up lies in the season?

And it's something I feel like we really see and we still can't do it. I'm like, a lot of fact checking going on. Yeah. Well, I mean, they kind of, they're what and there was proud of Simon because he was like, I don't trust Lottie. I'm like, yes, that's the right way to go back to Harry. He's your stability. I don't buy this for a second, but it was the fact that Archer then went to Lottie and said that. And Lottie's like, I don't know if it's true. We've never seen Paula do it. We've never heard it from her in confessional. We can't have her debunk it because if she's not doing it, and she doesn't even know to debunk it, the only thing that made me think it was possibly true is I'm like, why would Archer lie to Lottie about this? You're preaching to the choir. Like, you could just be like, should we make this up? You don't have to, like, you don't have to lead her. Like, she's already doing that as far as we see from a time perspective. She's already very happy to throw Paul along the under the bus. So that made me think maybe there's some truth. Maybe all of these things are kind of half truth. Maybe Paula once half said Simon's name and it's being amped up or misconstrued in these things aren't binary. But yeah, I mean, whether Simon is being actively duped or he just is choosing to go in a bigger group doesn't want to time itself to what's going to be this tiny little minority by the end of the episode, I would have loved me personally and I think in the game.

If you have seen him go back to Harry, can they do something we can talk about? It could have happened. I'm not sure. I kind of really feel like Harry needs to be Simon's stability and what's, I don't know enough about his position without Harry, but I feel like he's kind of free falling without what really should be his number one, what happened to the rise there? I was confused by it. I think the problem is that somehow some way Harry comes into this round, very convinced that his name is going to be circulated and it almost was a self-fulfilling prophecy in that he convinced himself his name was out there, which then caused him to play his most paranoid game yet. I feel like this was around where he so clearly was in his own head that Simon felt weird about the conversation he had with him so much so that Simon, I feel like felt uncomfortable even bringing anything up to him and thought, no, you know what, I'm just going to get rid of Paula. I'm not even going to bother talking to Simon. I start talking to Harry. He's giving me nothing and I think that this was also very clear when Harry was like, yeah, these four people, you all just walked away when I got there.

That was sketchy. What was that all about? I mind you, he's half right because his closest ally's name is out there, not his, they're going for her. But he was convinced that his name was in the rotation, there were going to be votes on his name, even till Simon, yeah, one of us could be leaving here. So I think it was too busy being paranoid to do anything, to do anything effective with Simon. It felt like an energy shifted to be like, we've been combined and now there's going to be a crack and that crack has always been lotty versus the return ease. So I guess that was the fear. But the interesting thing about it is that Harry responds to that, not by fighting fire with fire, but by going back to what he describes as the easy votes, which is Lindyland Laws. And unfortunately you do lose possible swings in Lindyland Laws when you become the face of like constantly taking out the people on the bottom, which Harry has done, which is kind of why I don't like one of the reasons I don't like putting this up out there as much with those names. And people just, people actually just see board, like even asher, like they don't even

want Lindyland in the game. But they just were like, should we do something fun? And Harry is on the back foot of that. He got, like I say this with so much love for Harry, but he got like outpaced by people who were willing to take a short earlier. And maybe he's thinking more long term, we know he's been thinking about well, when we get to the other tribe, we can be this kind of big emotional group, but everyone else, you know, sees targets and wants to take that. And you kind of, I guess have to read and sense that shift enough to be on the front foot of it and not left behind. So really, really tricky episode with Harry, the decoy vote, it just went so poorly. At first I was like, okay Jackson believes that I was wrong, but I feel like Jackson is in sense. I think the revenge plotline for Eliza is really cute, really adorable with the revenge net. And I think he probably felt once given this information, which was very openly available from Harry's enemy in Loddy, he probably felt manipulated, made to act like a fool, especially because he had bought it at first. Like, you're not going to want to play with that person.

I don't even know how to get that trust back in the future, let alone how poorly went right now. Yeah, I think no one wants to be made to feel stupid. And then especially no one wants to be made to feel stupid in front of the nation. And I feel like that's exactly what he feels in that moment. And I want to commend the Asha and Loddy conversation where they do talk about Lindel, and they're like, we can do Lindel next. Let's find someone, let's do something fun now. Lindel's always a name in front of us, which is not incorrect. Lindel's so clearly, and we thought about plot armor, but also, as far as dynamics go, Lindel's in the pits right now. Yes, we talked about it. Oh my gosh. Yeah. And she is in the depths right now, just not doing well. Oh, of course, I think that the one of the most interesting things about this tribe has been the way they present Lindel to be and the way she has clearly been the entire time. Like, she's a bottom feeling. Like, she has never had power.

And we were seeing it here with Eliza. And by the way, I'm even lower on all this after speaking to Eliza. I guess she pulled at the heartstrings during the X and Feu, and it was so devastating. And she's like, I didn't even wake her up, okay? I just, she was already awake, and not that that would be an excuse, you know, you should take the information. But it's just like real quick, yeah. Can we talk about how Lindel went about talking about that to Jackson to be like, yes, she messed with my sleep. I didn't sleep well for four hours after that, because I don't think there's any person in the history of survivor kind that's going to be like, fair. I get it. I am saying it without without that true. No, no, I don't. I'm actually, I have been joking, obviously, like you get the information. We know that Lindel was finding the idol at night. She's happy to be awake sometimes, but sleep is sacred. But yes, if people come to you with information, trying to help you even late at night, especially late at night, when do we all have things like if I'm sad?

If I'm sad that someone's gone and you voted them out, don't come to me and be like, I mean, I was just irritated and then let me sleep. I'm going to take that personally. I am. It's just going to happen. And then, you know, he does throw it right back in her face later and says, well, you took credit for that. Didn't you? Like, which to me, that really felt like, yeah, I'm the Godfather. If you yawn in front of me or you remind me how you slept so well last night, big mistake. I'm going to let you go. You're going to have to leave. So this is the whole thing with Lindel that's going on, which is Lindel's been in a really bad position. She is at the bottom. She's not a name included in major groups. Even we are like, you know, in the last episode, I'm like, well, maybe, you know, Harry leaving her out on purpose, like, no, she's just at the bottom. She's been at the bottom, but she sees herself not as at the bottom. She's like, we won that vote. She thinks she's the last one. She's claiming it in a way that they're like, was that even you?

Would you even have the capital to get across the line? You said a name, but we were all okay with it. So you're getting, like, credit that just puts a target on your back when it's not even necessarily true and actually, like, you're a name that's out there. So she doesn't know her own position, but the weirdest part about it is that the show I think backs up at least what they can of the viewpoint she has. And that's why it's taken a bit of time to, and then catch up with that. And I was seeing you during the Eliza episode, but especially now, I feel like the show because she's a big player, because she has an idol, because she's the idol swap. She's long for the game, like, she has plot armor. But then sometimes they have to tell us the dynamics. So they're like, yeah, an easy vote on Lindel. They see her as like, super, I don't know if it's passive, but like, she's not a power player. But the way she's been presented in just from a narration standpoint is as a power player. And because she does know her own position, she can't narrate it correctly. She should be narrating this as like a Kelly went with underdog type, but she doesn't think she is.

And that's why we see it. When Eliza comes to her, she should be like, thank you so much. Instead, she's like, I'm exhausted, but she goes and she claims the move. Like all of the, the way she's talking about it, I don't think he's accurate. And we see it when Lodi comes to her and is like, Paula's coming for you, but we're going to go for Paula, but they're going to vote for you. And she's like, I don't want to be a decoy. Like Lindel, you aren't a decoy. You were the target. You should pray to be the decoy. It's like they're coming and saying, here's a lifeline. And she's like, I don't know that I love the color of that parachute. Do you have something in black? Like, Lindel, they are saving you for the second time in two episodes. I watched someone come up to her and try to help her. And she was so unaware of her own position that she didn't, she wasn't accepting of it because she doesn't realize how much she needs it. But the weirdest part about it is that the show is validating at least what they can of it. I think because she will be a big player through the rest of the season. Yeah, I think that for the same thing we just talked about with Harry and him being paranoid

causes him to slip up and causes his game to this to completely pass him by and for him to end up in a weaker spot as a result, I think it's the opposite with Lindel. I think that they often talk about him by they and an often, I mean, I read this once upon a time and it stuck with me was if you are in like a people who are in like an accident in a vehicle accident, let's say, if you are tensed up, you're a lot more likely to be injured if he versus being loose and not really realizing you're in the accident. And I feel like that's where Lindel is. She has no idea how bad a spot she's in, but because she doesn't, she's not letting the panic set in. She's not getting paranoid. She's not overplaying. She's being super pretty. I want to be her. Yeah, like I think she's a little too breezy where people don't trust her almost because they're like, why are you chill? You should be like, it's weird that you're so calm. Like I don't like that. And you know, we can maybe credit this to her like having done one of the riskier things of the season in the idle swap and having an immuted idle.

Maybe she is like, I'm on top of the world. And you know, not for nothing, she hasn't left the game yet. So that's a good spot to be in. But I think and I think that all culminates and confirms itself for me when she does indeed say, I don't want to be the decoy vote. Yeah. You're looking at the history of people when you push back on being the decoy vote, one of two things has happened. There you are, you are pushing your luck with these people or you have no choice. You're the decoy vote. I feel like right now, this is neither for Lindelitz. I'm not pushing my luck. I have no right to be there. I should not be one of the names that's a decoy put someone else in that pile. But it's not a decoy. What is Lordy meant to do about it? She's not decoying her. They're actively the other side that they're now saving her from are actively targeting her. That's fair. I'm not saying like I might need my idols the first time I felt in trouble, but like I don't even think she realizes how dire not just that it is now, but that it has been and look, it's not relatable to me because I have anxiety. So for me, it's the opposite. For me, I'm like asking my husband, like, did you love me?

He's like, well, I think it's a sweet, you know, like I, I don't know, I don't get the like it's going so well when it's not going well. I do the opposite. I assume things are going badly and I think that like Cochrane level paranoia that he talks about, sometimes can be a good thing. But just true, I wonder if Lindel's watching this back and being like, that was not going as well. I thought, well, we're just like, you know, going through it, but she will know now because the thing that's so interesting now, she votes alone for Jackson. How does this happen? Questions are bound because how is she voting for Jackson when laws isn't when she says an ally and someone like rich isn't? I wonder if it's like, I mean, it can't be a split because she knows there's two votes coming on to her. So what's the one vote split? Something's been miscommunicated, the only thing we've heard from her is that she's genuinely choosing between the pathway of what she thinks is a Jackson vote that's never been anything. In fact, that's awful as well. Do I believe Loddy to say Paul is coming for me, like not only the truth, but they're saving you, say thank you, we'll give them a hug and that's it versus a Jackson plan we've barely even heard about. Like it's, I don't know if it was it was it was ever actually getting off the ground

in reality, but to us, it's nothing. And she's like, which one is true? Like she can't discern between what we see as like a golf of like real plan and fake plan. And she's like, I'd prefer Jackson. But she's making like what she thinks is a real decision on Jackson, where she thinks we'll have numbers and then voting alone. That's not great. And the second part is her not playing her idol can't be credited because she doesn't know what's going on. If that's what she thinks is happening, like in a world where the Jackson plan is what she thinks is happening, she should play a right all because in that world, actually, it's the only one and she'd be going home. Does other Paul the plan is happening that she's apparently not a part of? So she's not reading that correctly to not play her idol. So you can't even really credit the read. I just have to wonder how she's voting Jackson and not someone like was who we've seen her in lockstep with. See, I wish I could give you an answer because my media reaction was, well, you know, Jackson did put her on blast a little bit and put her on the radar. So maybe this was just a while. I'm not going anywhere. Let me throw a warning shot at his way. No, she doesn't think that. She doesn't think that. She doesn't think that it was a loss. I was like, should I play my idol?

So like it's not even like that's the case. But she's not even like, wow, you put me on blast. Like I think Richie's like, oh, the puppet mass and she's like, I wouldn't go that far. I'm like, you know what, Lindell, me neither, me neither, because that's not what I think you go real nice. So I think she's going to go on, be like, I got called the puppet master today. Okay. All right. This is what I'm saying. Something very weird is happening like I'm jealous. I wish I had this. I feel like confidence or I feel that for all the imposter syndrome, I feel feeling like he is exactly what because I think that's the worst night. I think that's why I don't ever want to play these games personally because I think even if I'm doing a good job, I will not let myself feel that. And I think I will end up overplaying or underplaying my hand because I'm not allowed to rate myself well versus some people who are like, nah, man, I am the best that's ever done it. I haven't idle. I just swapped idols with Brooke. The legend that is Brooke me and her best friends now. Yeah. If I'm if I'm Lindell, I'm riding a high also.

I love this for her. I personally hope she continues with this air of confidence because as long as she's feeling this way, I think that she could end up being in a good spot. And I hopefully should bear and go back to tribal again. Hopefully they don't go like, all right, well, it's it's Lindell's time. I hope we still see something change. And I do think and I think this is something that may be a lotty and Asha come to realize real quick, might be a sobering moment of sometimes when you want to pause the obvious move to go for like a juicy one. The other side's not going to just fall back in its place. They're going to now want to get juicy also you might have you might have broken open the juicy line. Now everyone's trying to get juicy. Well, that I mean, now the now she has the space we just said that she could have had in taking out alive that we said, okay, maybe she think she doesn't need that option because the factions will crack and they cracked exactly as we thought, which is Harry lotty kind of issue. But I don't think that that's how I mean, clearly that's not how she was seeing it. And I think that is how completely agree with you.

Where is your imposter syndrome to people walk around like this? People live their life like this. I want to I want to be that person, but I'm simply not. But yeah, that this interesting thing for me is that I don't think the shows hammering it that hard. It's there because it's true. It's unavoidable. But yeah, I mean, definitely the way that she's taking credit for the Eliza move, which I think looks even worse in hindsight, you know, like you, even though it worked out and they did crack, it's like, where's the agency? Where's the read? Like that position for me is just even if it's now again, we've reposted it. It's just like the lack of knowledge that really concerns me on that. So yeah, that that was a question. Does Harry have any numbers here to do? Or has he lost their all throughout the last couple of days? I feel like sometimes when you do see people put together a blind side like this, all it takes is for one of the two people they don't want to know finding out and it makes people too scared to go for it.

So if Harry finds out and then goes to one or two and goes, are you really looking to get rid of Paul tonight? Is that really what you're doing? No, no, no, no, no, no, and then everyone's like, you know what? No, there's no blind side, tack it off. Because I think ultimately, especially when there's so many numbers left in the tribe, unlike a survivor US, you can't be certain because, you know, we, there's a, when the numbers are this big, the plurality option is always a lot higher because there's so many people. So if you're suddenly shaken, I'm like, oh, we had seven. I don't even think we have that. Now we might have like four, oh, four might not be enough. You immediately might pivot. Like that could have pushed everything back on lindal for all we know. So I think that had Harry pushed back a little bit or tried to explore as opposed to feel paranoid enough that from where I'm standing, felt paranoid enough to not want to do anything, not upset anything, not move anything. Because it's like, if I'm seen, I might get caught. It's like when you're doing hide and seek and you're standing behind a tree. And like you think a little bit of your shadows outside the tree,

but now I can't move because if I move more of me might get exposed. So I should just wait and hope they don't see me. That's what Harry did this week. And I think that it ended up blowing up in his face a little bit because Paula, his closest ally leaves. Now do I think Harry has other options? Absolutely. Do I think has other players he can play with? Yes. Do I think he's going to see this as one of the biggest losses of his career? Absolutely. Because I think him and he had, he had found the person that was playing the game like him and with him step by it. Like in sink. So that's going to be a hard loss. Yeah. And especially because he was trying to do these like big votes and then it was a big vote against him. I think possibly pushing, yeah, I think pushing that big group and working with factions against you, like I wasn't the factions that you want to be against. Maybe that was the issue. It's the way I guess he selected allies. If he's pushing, and maybe it's just the way he connects, but like if he's pushing it

on Lindel and Lowe's, that's a faction that's not going to be readily available to him. So, and then he's trying to work with Lottie and I guess underestimating how much he would be willing to crack early enough. She has her own faction. So that loses a lot of people. That's like Lottie, Cameron and Asher as far as we know. And then, I mean, that's already, to be fair, if all those people were to get that's already six of 10. Even within that, obviously, without Lindel, it becomes five. But even within that, I feel like he actively lost Jackson. So that's an essential number who didn't even want to come to him and tell him. And then Simon is more, like that's a harder one to track because I feel like that one's probably not as much on him. But without, and I think Simon should still be an option, although that'll get messy because they had a whole system in order about rights and then what's that anything about rights. So, I do wonder where his options are going forward because I think he burnt bridges with people on the bottom. I think he was investing in a big group that included people who didn't want to align with him and who've been targeting him and vice versa.

And then I feel like he's been squeezed out and one of those other relationships can be other than someone like Paula. He's gone. Right. Yeah. He may have put too many eggs in one basket. Yeah. The Lottie basket. That's not good. Yeah. We'll see. The bounce back, I think, could very well happen though. I think he'd have to go to those bottom theaters, like the wrench, laws, Lindel, he's been putting their name out, I think, most vocally for seemingly like the last couple of votes. I mean, that's fine. I think that's still, that's still salvageable because his name has not exactly been the one being hard pushed. It's been Paula's name. So. Yeah. I just think it's like he can be credited with, well, what, did you leave me out of that big group? You know, even though it was a to them, if he's the bring leader of that, it's like the voice of that. It's like you blame him the most and then why would you want to work with him again? Like does Lindel know that? No. So that might be saving.

Can I just say that I do not think Lindel bought that when Eliza brought it to her doorstep. So. Yeah. Yeah. Even though it was true. Yeah. So that's I guess, and like this, yeah, this was a sad state of affairs. It was really unfortunate, but it was fun. What else did from this episode? Did you like the new advantage that I should got in the cake? I was intrigued by it. I'm not going to lie to you. I like the idea of saving and making someone else vote. These are always intriguing things to me. I do love a cross tribal connection. And you know, we got to see one be done organically where the player gets to decide who they want to do that with. And we get to see that again here, but this is a little bit of a two-way consent because one person whether they like it or not is going to get selected. So I'm not mad at this. I think it's complicated enough that I feel like you need to pay attention to understand it, which is I think a good thing. Sometimes things are a little too autopilot on these shows, but also not too complicated where it's going to be confusing to 90% of the cast.

I think if someone, I think maybe if you give it to Don, it doesn't work out. I think everybody else might be receptive to it. It's with me a couple of read-throughs. I liked it. Asha was like, what? Because I was like, I was like, what? You want to read it back to me in the future. Yeah, we just literally before we started recording, I just closed in on the note and read the whole thing again just to clarify it on my mind. I think this is like a small-scale advantage, which is good. You know, they want to introduce something for the second week. It's only good for three tribal councils, which is going to be to the end of the week, and I assume it will come in week three, because that's been pretty consistent, but we'll see. I think it's just like to ask the entry to the week. The thing for me is I appreciate that it's not like breaking the game. I was like, not a third idol, which they've done in times and more, but I'm not mad at it. I'm just like, why would anyone use this? This is such a low-stakes advantage that it feels like it's only a headache. They didn't even put it in the smallest piece of cake. I know this was one person choosing, but you think that they would do that just one person

is going to safely without power themselves out of the tribal council. If that person was on the bottom, if Harry had this, yeah, he should not go to the next tribal council. I'd be scared. Asha should be a tribal council. No, you can just for a vote. Imagine having not had her influence on that day. Asha is doing a lot. Asha isn't too good a position to take herself out of the tribal council, so if she wants to use it on herself as a losing tribal or on her own tribe, she could take out a member of the opposing alliance to take out a vote. They have it on lock, and also it's a huge tribe, so these one-vote swings aren't going to touch size as much as they might in a tiny good tribe. In terms of using it on the other tribe, if they lose, then you want to go there and you're protected, you can't be voted out, and you want to vote. Why? She's going to do it because you know production, you know, do it. It says it in the note. You have it right here because it says here. This is a massive advantage, debatable. If you use correctly, you could change the course of the game, use it wisely. Why?

Why? What horse do you have in the race of the other tribe? I think this would be really interesting in a swat where you care about other people on the other side. Why should she go there and then be choosing between like Mark and Johnson and Dawn? Who are these people to her? She can't go home. She can't go to a race, but I would be like, I might piss people off. Like I'll see what the swap and we can make connections there. If you want to take me over for a reward and we can connect, sure. But voting in tribal council was quite a volatile, but destructive, almost negative situation a lot of the time. So what if you vote for someone and they don't go home, like, this is the little doesn't do this. I do. But yeah, what are, what are all these things? I just don't know why you put yourself in that position when you don't have to. Right. Let me ask you this question. Do you think, because we now know, I believe correct me if I'm wrong, this was usable for the next three. Yes. Tribals. Do you think that that confirms to you that there will not be a swap for the next three?

Yes. But they wouldn't be any. It's pretty early. I mean, I never see the thing is I don't pay enough attention to these things to be like, oh, we're around the time. I actually middle of this also realize, oh my God, there could be not a limb episodes. That was going to happen. No. If I have to broadcast more on a non-alim is my last episode, I'm going to be honestly. If next is tomorrow is a non-alim, then thankfully, I didn't receive it because I've been the key recipient of the non-alim. So we should tell you what they often do, even that, even even more so if that's going to be the case. And I think it might be, it's 45 days. I wonder if it's still the same episode order. Is it still 24 episodes? I don't know. It's like, because there's a couple days shorter. So maybe there's like one fewer non-alim. Maybe this is that. But yeah, oh my God. Going to putting yourself in a tribal council, voting for someone, they stay in the game. This is not an advantage. If that's the case, that can always happen at, you know, at a Australians who have a tribal council.

So she's going to use it because they're like, use it. Use it now. She's not going to be like Harry, who's like, who didn't use that advantage at that one time. To bring up another attorney, you know, when Simon went home and brains be born, Cara and George were chosen to like go and vote and they could be voted for. They were like spectators who could vote. And they voted out Simon and it wasn't numerically necessary, but they did it. It wasn't a big thing. Even that was like you. Simon was like, he voted for me. And here's versus villains. He was talking about it. It's like, you guys actually never would even own the same tribe. And there's beef. Why create beef? I would not be looking to use this. If I had it, unless I was in a dire circumstance, I just wanted to use it to save you without power. If I was at the bottom, which I sure is not great. That's the sad thing with the non-alim votes is that if you vote for me, I'm still going to take it as a vote for me, even if I don't leave. Like you still voted for me. Yeah, sure. You tried to hit me out of the table.

You had, you did not know it was not on them. You had every intention of sending me home tonight. That's how you got to look at it. So just like when, you know, your side wins the vote. On a vote of five to two, but you had two votes on you. You're like, which two had the audacity to do this to me? I think that still sticks with you to a certain degree. So yeah. Yeah. I mean, in the history of this is the most, this is not an advantage advantage. This can be pretty up there depending on how it's used, depending on how it's used though. Yeah, even if I should work it out in a way I can't think of to really be creative here to basically swap a vote in these massive tribes, which have not been so marginal to this point. If she, I mean, there's, there's options because you could take yourself out, you could take an enemy out, you could do it for the other tribe. I just can't find the option that I think is like, this was worth it other than to use it as safety without power as an idol for a desperate person, because even if you go to a non-aluminant, like, you know, it's a non-aluminant, what a waste of time at that point. Like, what are we doing? I would give me the reward.

I would so much rather like, you can use this to go over the other tribe and reward. I've noticed as well, I think every episode, the tribe that wins reward, loses immunity. I think that's really happening. So that's been interesting from a content perspective because then they get a lot of content at the reward and then they get a lot of content losing immunity so we don't check in as much with the other tribe. I do always enjoy the handout reward, Australian survival staple. I would never read the parchment. If you come in there and you see a cake cut up weird, don't read the parchment. It's often the person reading the parchment who has to choose. Did you like the cake aspect of it? Yeah. I think they, I think they did it correctly. I think the right person missed out on cake. I think the right person missed out on cake. As far as the portions go, I'm not here to cap to anyone's portions, I'm like, this person needs to serve more, more like that's all I'm doing here. Yeah. But she was a lot of cake would be kind of sickening I think in that, in that environment or generally. I feel like if, I'm not going to lie, if I've not eaten a lot of things in many of days and

I'm getting this thick, rich chocolate cake, I, if there's no glass of milk, I'll take the sliver. I'll take the little piece because I'm going to want that glass of milk if not. If you don't have a glass of milk with a lot of cake, it's literally a punishment. It was a punishment in Matilda. You saw Simon. He was on the ground. And that cake looks flames. The Matilda cake looked good, even, but even then Bruce made it look horrible by the end because you need to eat the whole thing with no cake. You got a raw dog? No, thank you. No. No. Because his eyes matter less than this, I thought it was kind of interesting not to give it to Cameron. Look, he sucked on that game. Let's be honest. Yes. He nearly cost us the cake. It makes diplomatic sense to not give it to him. And he took it like a champ. I will say he took it like a champ, he didn't push back, so that was good. I, I would not take cake, especially because it's like it's not even nutritional. I'm, I'm like being very anti-cake here and it's see, it's simply not how I feel. I love cake very, very much, but I think, yeah, I probably, I thought I'm like, well, he just won't give to yourself, but I admire that at least Rich could get away with getting

some, having his cake and eating it too, literally, because it was so undeniable with Cameron and he took it well as well. He was just so bad at the challenge that it spoke for us. I feel like he did not, either he didn't care or he was just very quick with the, with the throwing because he, you blinked and most of them were gone already. It was painful to watch, especially because that, like that bounty tribe was so much better at the pulling. Like they had the opportunity from what we saw every time, but in this time, he literally just, and they were like, he's going to run out of sandbags is like, we'll see who, and they were like, don't you need your glasses and he was like, who sent that in my mind? That's always fun though, but the, um, the Baron tribe, can I tell you, my obsession with Dawn Roberts Rodgers knows no bounds. I think there is potential here. I think there's some real character potential, I'm not going to compare him to the coaches of the World Baby Phillip, but like, there's something here, there's something wonderful

happening here. This is a man who lied about his last name being Rodgers, which is a generic name. Why couldn't you be Dawn Rodgers and then forgot and said it wrong, which is what, what are we doing? Um, and like, maybe it's because you want to say your brother's name is Matt and he played in a row. And now you're, now he was Matt Rodgers, but how much identifyable information are you giving them as a first thing? The second thing we've also learned through Survivor 49, people don't care what your siblings names are. People are ready for God. So it's fine. And also, I know we said on the drafts, like, oh, you know, don't say your brother is Matt Rodgers. Um, I've met Dawn now through the show, um, on the screen, I mean, he can say his brother's Matt Rodgers. He, he can actually say it. If he came in day one, I was like, my brother's Matt Rodgers, that's not going to affect him. No one is threatened by that because they too have met Dawn. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's, that's a great point because now that you've met Dawn, Dawn could tell me he is the golden God's cousin and I'm not flinching.

I'm like, okay, I'm going to go to my shelter, yeah, you'd be like, well, the apple fell far from the tree. This does not worry me. Yeah. And you've been thinking about like, oh, so it's not in the DNA. Gotcha. All right. Okay. Now we know we know there's a nature nurture component to survivor. Um, yeah. And it's lovingly lovingly. Oh, it's like, you know, I can't explain how much I love Dawn. He forgot that he'd said Rodgers. Why couldn't he just be Rodgers? He forgot that he'd said Roberts. Anyway. Yeah, I was listening. As Rodgers, not a common last name, like no one's going to be like, yeah, yeah, you would assume, right? Like, and firstly, most of these people don't know who Matt Rodgers is. That's another point about it. Do you think? Do you think? Everyone gives their, like, full name when they introduce themselves, like, or do they just go, I'm Dawn blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, I'm a lot of blah, blah, blah. I've always assumed that. Yeah.

Yeah. But then Dawn somehow has volunteered it enough that somewhat, you know, this might be a dawn thing. He might have laid it a little too thick. So when he said, Rodgers, I way, wait, is it, well, what was the, what was the fake last name he gave? It's like too close to that. Also, why couldn't you be Matthews if you're going to go with a different last name? Why did it have to be with an R? I completely agree with you. Okay. First, we have seen to be filmed the last names. Like, we've seen the Gary Hogan boom, Hawkins of it all, but I would think, firstly, we don't go last names. Secondly, just don't talk about your brother by name. Like, my brother does it. It's very easy to do that. And you can just be Rodgers. Yeah. People do not care about your siblings names. Now, we know. And yes, the fact that it's like, um, oh, what's your name? Dawn Rodgers. I don't know. Wait, that's too obvious. Dawn Robbins. Like, if, yeah, if you're not going to be Rodgers, be John Smith. Like, you were so close. But even then, you forgot. And another really funny thing. Dawn is, people need to know, well, but I'm not here. If Dawn does something hilarious, think of me, because I'm telling you, there's carries a potential here. And this man is going to be there on day 45, getting zero votes.

But, um, he's then he's like, he's talking to Mark. He's like, did you play with Matt Rodgers? Do you know who your brother played? Were you watching his seasons? Have we talked to Mark about his experience? Mark played, at the time, like two years ago, and, and Matt Rodgers hasn't played for many, many years. Like, you know what I mean? Dawn. Like, you. Dawn watched all of three episodes and then lied to Matt the rest of the way that he was watching his seasons. No, he didn't. I could never believe it. Matt would never believe it in 100 million years. He doesn't know. And the thing is, like, Brooke actually did play with Matt Rodgers. Go ask Brooke about this. But, um, how could he not, it's either like, I didn't watch my brother's seasons close enough to know who he played with, or I did watch it, but I wouldn't remember you. Or both. Like, I loved Dawn so much. I just, I want, I want them to keep him in the game. And I want him to prove that there's like huge character potential here. And this was amazing to me.

And I think he's here for a while. I don't know. I think so. And then to then they have what, what do they call it, the Kornchip Mafia? The Kornchip Mafia. Yes, it was the two of them and Caleb, right? Yeah. And Mark's like, not sure about why that even is. Are you about to school me on why Kornchips are significant to this Mafia? No. That's what I'm saying. They're just into Kornchips. It's no reason. Yeah. It just, that was a word and a reward. I don't, I don't want to say to you like, I don't understand. But I love it. Um, this, I thought this was great for Mark. Mark's like, I loved Dawn. I'm like, Mark, me too. This was good for Mark. Mark did well this episode. He won the challenge of his way back. I did it with his crazy. He got Dawn back and I always thought I, when they said last episode that Dawn would be with Johnson, I was always like, why Johnson targeted him? And Dawn would care about that. Dawn's like, Rupert level, like who voted for me? My name was in the ear. And like, he's not going to be like, yeah, it's cool to game.

That's not Dawn. I think I know Dawn. So yeah, he's got Dawn back, possibly Caleb, who's between it. This was good. And also, I want to see them in the final two. Like, I don't, I don't want to tell you. Like, I'm all in on the dawn. Why he had to be Robert? It's no one knows. Zootopia 2 is coming home to Disney Plus. Let's go! Get ready for a new case. Um, no, that was really the last bit that we hadn't really talked about.

I thought it was a fun episode. I feel like this season has delivered so far. And yeah, I'm very curious to see where we go. And I will say it's not like I'm very happy that the show hasn't been, hey, the four returners are all that matters. And here's why we are we're they're actively showing these new characters, these new players in a positive light also. And we're we actually have contenders amongst these new characters, which I feel like sometimes can very much not be the case. I'm very I think it's been very decently edited so far also. Yeah, somebody was almost a contender in Paula went home. She was almost a lotty, lotty just became more of a contender. Yeah, lotty's been a lotty's been very good. Let's talk about it out that she's been taking away Jacob Lager wine scene. And I have it ready. I do. I have it ready. And MC color. Two, three.

We're so excited to talk about the three points. So you're going to change it? No, the three and the two actually I've locked in from before, but I didn't want to start giving away all my cheesy points at the beginning. Yeah. So I kept hush on the two. Listen, lotty and one of the person hatched this plan together. That other person also found an advantage in this time and also got an advantage and a blindside and her cake too. How am I not giving you a two here? Like Aasha, get your two. You deserve it. You earned it. Once again, like last episode, the one is the complex one for me because who knows where I go with the one? I could go, I could go with the person who did get his ultimate revenge and has the revenge knit on, which is a very iconic outfit. Jackson lost his ally has actively now announced to everyone that he lost his ally,

which I think is a good shout if you're not getting voted off soon. Because what does it do? It tells everyone there. The number one free agent that's available is now Jackson. Hick him up, scoop him up, court him, sign him and they're going to. I think Jackson's going to find a home so quickly and he's going to be completely fine. And he gets his revenge on here. He is the one person that you can't be mad at because his closest ally went home. I'm curious to see what happens because Harry was like, did you know, Jackson was like later a little brother. We're the middle of getting rid of your ally now. So I did like that. That was what you didn't say. That obviously what he should have. So I'm curious where that relationship goes, but I'm feeling good about where Jackson is heading. And I think getting to see someone get their revenge arc so quickly and we know relatively actually this was the right person to get revenge on or at least one of the right people to get revenge on. I'm happy about that. So he can get the one. We'll keep it in house. We'll keep it with the group today. I definitely considered Jackson.

I'm really enjoying the like emotional content we're getting from Jackson. Like we're getting some real life and maybe this is connected to the redemption. We saw when he lost a challenge last episode. Here we had, you know, in terms of connecting it to his like life decisions and people always deciding for him and how that makes him feel I need. Look, honestly, Harry had come to him and been like, what I had said, which was like, Eliza was an anchor in your game. That might also have gone badly because he'd be like who are you to tell me? I think you'd have to be more like, I don't know, it was like a unanimous vote. Like, what was I going to do? I mean, you'd be like, well, you could tell me. So it was a hard one because voting against Eliza was going to cause that fracture. I still think an honest conversation could do more. I don't know if it would have worked. And even if it had worked, if Jackson goes back to Harry, I don't even know if they have the numbers. I don't think they do. I don't think I don't know that there's enough numbers there to turn around. If they don't have these like bottom feeders of at least laws and rich, that lot of you think to have a little bit more. Not little, fishy word of Jackson. But yeah, I just think, I don't know that they'd have the numbers. But I do think it could go better.

If at least he has the honest conversation. And I think that this happening, like we talk about like was Simon manipulated. Jackson wasn't. Jackson was told the truth. He believed the truth. He understood what had happened. Harry thought that it was like that he could get one over on Jackson. And that's not what happened. You know, Jackson read something really authentic. So I am considering Jackson. Obviously, the three points, Lottie, she got so much done. It's like if just some of it had happened, it would have been enough. What do you mean you won over Harry? You, you know, took the shot of Paul and maybe she has her own reasons. We don't know the dynamics well enough. I would have personally taken on Harry, but I have a lot more data on Harry. And then you got Jackson. And then you got Simon. And you got like all the volunteer swings other than Lottie. I agree. For the first time in the history of the Chissey, we should give someone three and two points at the same time. Five point. No, but I mean, look, she didn't bet. But I sure as well. As you said, I'm just getting the advantage. Asha seems really close to Cameron as well.

So like that faction and like Asha as well, like giving that information about Paula, whether it's true or not. She's a big part of that too, but she did kind of seem like the co-pilot. Like it felt like Lottie was, we saw her individually having those conversations with like Simon and Jackson as an example. And otherwise, I might have considered Asha first, because then she also got the advantage. But yeah, Asha's getting two. For the one point, should I give it to Jackson for the revenge? But I don't know. I don't know. What's your alternative? I was thinking Mark, honestly, because I only gave Mark one when he made the big move. And I feel like he goes on that back in this episode. He got dawn. He could have Caleb. Don't have you ever lost in a wrong silly thing? You know? Mark's got, yeah. Credit to Mark, he's got named alliances. But at the end of the day, he's also got separate alliances that don't really know about each other and are going to confide in him rather well. So I'm not mad at Mark. Honestly, I would even encourage you to go Mark so that he gets a point out of us here. Because I think because you went Jackson as well.

Like Jackson got to his point for that. I think I will go Mark. I mean, he's and also this is what he's meant to be for. He keeps winning those challenges for them. Cinco had it. He had the hero moment. He had the hero moment of the challenge. He's not every time. It's great. It's not just the same thing. Like they've not been in the water. And he's been making himself indispensable. Like, I'll be honest. I'll be honest with you if they wanted to. Yeah, I'll be honest. I mean, I came into the draft. Being the lowest on Mark on the return. He's not because of who he is or anything. Just because of his reputation. And I was like, he's going to be the most recent player. They would have seen who's a returning here. And he nearly took it all. So why wouldn't they go after him? Why wouldn't they look at get rid of him? Well, Don doesn't know that. He thinks he played. Don thinks he played with Matt Rogers. I want to open the chart and see who does Don think Mark is on that season. No, he doesn't remember anyone that played with Matt Rogers at all. That's like, did he take a gambler's? The odds of him having played with Matt are pretty high. I'm just going to go ahead and win it. Hopefully it works out.

You play with Matt everyone played with Matt. I mean, these are the show they've been. Yeah, so I mean, now you're higher on my. I think of the four return ease. I probably fancy Mark then broke spots right now. Then I mean, Harry was probably second. Harry has fallen for sure. I almost think I fancy Simon spot now more than Harry's. I mean, this is a low moment. Yeah, I mean, this is by this is like you buy the dip with Harry now, because he really fell down. The stock price fell down quite rapidly. But we'll have to find that if he bounces back, who's going to be his new number one? And how does he pivot from losing his closest ally? Because history has shown that if you lose your closest ally, you can either pivot all the way to a W and win the whole season off of it, or you can be like the next boot. So where does he fall in that in that range? I wonder, like, I'm excited to see that conversation with Simon, because Simon of all people, like, what happened?

Yeah, that'll be tomorrow night. Excited to see it? Excited to cover it? Chipel will be here. Who you're what's happening with you? By the time this is out, traders will be finished, which would be crazy. Traders will be done. We would have seen the reunion. We would have talked about the finale. That's going to be great. Also, people will have checked out a lot of Survivor 50 discourse by then, probably, which I don't remember if we plugged it on the last episode. But if for some reason, you do not know who we ended up drafting on Survivor 50, go check that out. As far as we want to do a quick recap of the draft here with AU draft, Shannon, you and I are the only two in tech. And I should have lost someone tonight. Yeah. Yeah, I'm kind of upset that it wasn't one of Mike's people because it was going to be funny. The streak's over. I messaged him. I'm like, you've lost him. And he's like, I love it. You know, the way Mike is like, he's like, this is so funny. That's how Mike approaches the draft. I mean, the 50 draft we did nine months ago. I didn't remember my team.

I understand why we did it that way. I hate that we did it that way. Just because I feel like because we didn't have the pressure of the draft, I feel like I went very lax in the preseason content this time around. So I've not looked at a lot coming into 50. I don't think it's going to take away from my enjoyment of 50, but I feel like I'm going to be missing out on some of the reads and dynamics a little bit, which I would have had if we had the draft because I feel like I would have had the pressure of kind of like learn. I feel the same way. I mean, it's all check stuff out, but it wasn't. It didn't have to be militant. But do you really want to do the draft this week during trade as week and baby week? I was glad. I was like, thank you, Paa Shannon. You delivered in June like it worked out because also it would have been one eye. So the night it premiered a little inside baseball, the night it, the episode premiered on YouTube, I went and clicked it. This was like, I had finished streaming and was like, an hour or so after that. So it was like at least two and a half hours after the stream. I clicked it and it was still going on.

This started 90 minutes ago. What do you mean it's still going on? Didn't realize that because it was 24 people, that draft almost went three hours. I don't think I had three hours in me this week. So it maybe it was a blessing in disguise. No, yeah, it was a blessing. It was a blessing. It was, it's a little time capsule, which is fun. So if I can check that out, if you want to see who our 50 picks were. And then, yeah, Australian survivor continues. I should be here for the recap. Wishapel, the code five, did the X interviews. They were all really fun in different ways. Eliza's a little serious, you know, but it was beautiful. I'd been cat and Daniel. We had a really good time. So check that out as well. Follow me at Shania Gates. And that's it. That's all I got. Anything else, Bill? No, I'm realizing now that this might be the last time we podcasted together about the season. That's kind of sad. Hopefully not. I mean, I hope to talk about it, but we'll see. We'll see what pressure I put on myself. But maybe it will be sad. I mean, but they always say, right? The first five episodes, that's really the goal.

And I was here for that. So in the preseason, that's what you want. So you end your coverage on a non-alim episode. And I just put myself in a tribal council for. Oh, my God. Oh, that would suck. That would be interesting to talk about. So I'm here for it. No, thank you so much, Pia. Thank you all for listening. Thank you so much behind the scenes. And I will hopefully see you next time. Bye. Subbuy the New Zealand. Subbuy the New Zealand. Subbuy the New Zealand. Subbuy the New Zealand. 21 South Africa 12, Fortenery Australia. Just leave me. He's been to Finland. Give me the swam out. 1 million pounds. Me, you're the EOB. I'm going to be on the road here. I just want to try and be surprised. Try with the end. Five. From the adventure of the world,
