Sunday Sermon: Honest to God 6/1

Reading the Psalms puts us in touch with the deepest of human emotions. There are moments where the Psalmist begs God to crush his enemies. There are moments where the Psalmist sings of the mighty works of God. A consistent theme throughout the Psalms is that God calls us to come as we are. There is no need for pretense, no need to put on a brave face. Whether it is lament or praise, God in his goodness meets us where we are.
