Student's Death at Motorway: Inquest in June

0:00On March 27th, a 21-year-old university student named Michelle Chung was bound dead at Fortin Services on the M6 motorway back on February 19th. She was a second-year Earth and Environmental Science major at Lancaster University, having started there in 2024 and originally from Wales. An inquest into her death opened and was adjourned on March 26th at Preston Corners Court. Maria Corner Emma Mathur noted that police identified her using her student ID card from Detective Inspector Mark Green. Lancaster University shared their sadness online, saying they learned of her passing that same Thursday and reached out to support her closest friends. And family. Michelle was part of Lawnsdale College and belonged to the Pokemon and Doctor Who Societies on campus. She described herself on LinkedIn as, creative and curious, passionate about blending science and arts to protect the planet. Her interest included marine life, glaciers and hydrology, and she was hunting for work
