Straight mountain foods, the popular food truck, and catering outfit, is leveling up with a new brick and mortar spot called Redemption in Trussville. They're leasing space at 8885, Gadsden Highway, marking a big step from their mobile southern fusion setup. The menu Aberdemption will shift toward classic meat and three plates for lunch, plus a bigger dinner selection that changes often, just like the truck. It's a fresh take while keeping that rotating vibe customers love. The name draws from the owner's real life turnaround, after losing their first restaurant to tough times and seeing the food truck go up in flames, A. Couple years back, they bounced back strong. Owner Colt Reese shared that story on social media, calling it their road to redemption. With a target opening in May or June, once it's up and running, expect 7-day a week service.
