Storm Dave Wreaks Havoc in Greater Manchester

And heat and more near Stockport, a massive tree slammed into a house, ripping up the roof, shattering windows, and even buckling the pavement. Fire crews rushed in to coordinate off her safety. Over a burnage, another huge tree flattened two-part cars on green acres drive and cut internet to the whole street. Police showed up quick to block the area and keep folks clear. Rails got hammered too, with fallen trees blocking lines from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester and Toward Preston. That meant replacement buses for stranded passengers, while Avantai services grounds to a halt. The storms moving northeast now, Per the Met Office, trading extreme gusts for sunshine, mixed with showers. Power flickered out for thousands and whales, but most lines are back up as cleanup kicks off region-wide.
