Warnings got lifted early Easter Sunday as the storm pulled away faster than expected, sparing Northern England, Scotland, and Wales from longer. Chaos, ferries on Scotland's west coast-based delays, fallen trees, blocked roads, and power crews from Scottish and Southern electricity networks, and Northern power grid hit the ground running to fixed lines in places like Skye and Northumberland. Folks felt the punch hard, a massive tree and Manchester nearly smashed into a sleeping kids' room, wrecking cars and fences instead.
