Welcome to the Real Power Family Radio Show, I'm your host, Eric. Well, when we have Lila and Devon today, with Ethan taking the day off this time, and guess what? He's out putting flour in again, and oh, I hope this is our last major rehab, Devon. You've got one rehab left, and so we closed on more properties. I think this is the last one that I bought in 2025 that needed a major rehab, so we'll finally get it rent ready just in time for tax return season.

1:03Which should be awesome. That's good timing. Speaking of tax returns, there's an awful lot of people saying, I don't know why I pay taxes anymore. I've wondered that too. Yeah, I'm kind of upset because they're constantly lying to us. Yes. If you look on property taxes, there is just this big thing out in Devon. Thomas, who we've had on the show, he's probably the biggest representative in Ohio as a proponent of lowering property taxes. Even he's saying, look, they should see all we've done for him. You haven't done anything for me, Dave, that you're bragging about these big numbers, and people keep posting things that sound outrageously good. We are saving taxpayers $432 million just in the tax year 2025. That sounds good, doesn't it, Devon? Yeah, that sounds good in theory, but how about you tell us what that actually means? Well, what is the question? Everybody just hears the big number. You're like, oh, when it's going up to $608 million in 2026, what is the factor that

2:08they're missing? If that's how much savings we get, I'll never forget when my mom came home from shopping, and she said to my dad, Albert, you never guessed how much money I saved. And it's like, I saved us over $100. How much did you, it was like, and how much did you have to spend to save that much? Yeah, that's where you get into the sticky wicket. And that's the problem. It $432 million sounds great, but it's only 2% of the $21 billion that, and that's not even real. They collected $21 billion in 2024, but then taxes went up like 40%, and they're going up again next year, which this does not affect. So by the time you actually look at this, it'll probably end up to be much less than 2%, but let's just to keep life easy, we'll round it and call it 2% of the 21 billion dollars they collect in a property taxes, okay?

3:09You go out, you buy your home, and then they say, well, I know you bought it for $75,000, but we don't consider that an arm's length sale. I go, what do you mean? I bought it at a Kiko auction. This is the biggest auction here around, really over this part of Ohio and Pennsylvania probably. So it was widely advertised. They're brilliant with advertising and marketing, Kiko is fantastic. And the government says, yeah, no, we don't count that as an arm's length sale. You can't get a more fair opinion of value than people showing up to an auction and raising their hand and closing within a couple of months. But so they just say, well, we think your houses worth 150 grand. If we, it sells for 300 and they thought it was 150, they're very happy to raise it to the 300. Apparently, now that's a fair estimation of value if it goes in their favor, but not

4:09as an arm's length. You know, I'm having flashbacks to grocery shopping. I literally saw a store that forgot to take the old tag off of the shelf when they raised the price of the bacon by $2, but then they had a sale ad right next to that that lowered it again by 50 cents. And I was supposed to be happy that I only paid $1.50 more for the bacon and I just couldn't figure out why. That sounds like a 75% raise to me. That sounded like that to me as well. So yeah, I find this to be a lot like that. Let's look at exactly what our property taxors are doing. They went up 40%. And now ours are going up even more because the majority of property taxes we pay are for the rentals. And they're trying to make it like we want to help homeowners. You can't get homeowners if all of the tenants are squeezed in the Mac. We just had for the last week, we had a series of company meetings for dozens of companies. And I'm talking to my one partner from Oregon and he goes, you know, I, what do you think

5:14is going to happen with rents? I said, I don't think they're going up that much because well, why is that? I mean, the property taxes went up dramatically insurance. I go, oh, yeah. And I just talked to my insurance agent, expect that to go up again this year because they had some losses in that and he goes, we're model citizens. We never have claims, but other people that were in the same product as us do, which just goes to show if you don't get sick, you paying your health insurance are supporting all of the people that go to the emergency room rather than visiting a local doctor. You know, they can, even though it costs 10 times as much. If you don't have fires in your house because you take care of things and keep it clean and do preventative maintenance, then you're exactly the one that's paying for everybody else's insurance losses. Well, back to the whole, you know, what's going on? That's going on. Property tax are going up. I said, tenants are just being too squeezed and they're starting to move in together. Some of them are realizing we can't afford this. The new ones coming out that are Devin's age, they're realizing I desperately, I want

6:18to live in this house. And they think like Tyler thinks he can live in his mommy and daddy's house. Like he should just be able to go out and his mid 20s and buy the same house to this mom and dad who bought it. I don't know, maybe in the 80s, 90s, early 2000s, and I've been living there, hang on it for 20 years or more and have had jobs from more than 20 years, like real jobs, not flipping burgers. And they just kind of expect that they can go out and live. And there's a big, beautiful, dream home that is what their parents aspired and build up and saved money for. But look at what we had to go through with the warehouse, Lila. Yes. Absolutely. We worked up to it. You don't just move into your dream home and that's all you ever have. You work up to that. And then we had to sell that to be able to buy this house that we are now in. And our kids just started here thinking that this is normal to have, you know, eight acres and a barn and a toys and stuff, like four-wheeler toys that know you work.

7:24Yeah. I mean, we were living off of one 99 cent burgers and free fries from Burger King. Yep. And prior to that, we were running because of what we needed to do. We worked our way up and we lived in very small rentals, little teeny apartments because that way we could save some money to figure out how to buy our first house. You don't just start at the top. You always have to work your way up and a lot of people, I don't know, it's like they don't seem to realize what you have to do or that you have to work your way up. You don't just start off right at the top, buying your own home or any of that. And the older I get, the more I realize how much actually goes into everything that not only you guys, but anyone else out there has built. Yeah, there's too many people with the participation trophy mindset where they think that if they just show up, somebody's going to hand them everything they've ever wanted and they don't really have to do anything to get it.

8:25And that's not how I work. I remember the first time I was talking to Tony, our banker back then. Ah. And I'm sitting in this little basement office where he did all the loans out of and I was buying, you know, one of our first dozen rental properties and he goes, oh, yeah, I'm the coach of the soccer game said, oh, you know, you had a game last night. Who won? He said, oh, well, we don't keep score. I said, oh, the dad's to keep score, the kids keep score. But then I found out they were giving up participation trophies. And then they were so upset, your brother won. And it was pretty cool. He got like the biggest trophy for the shortest kid there and Taekwondo doing the kata, but you didn't win anything and they were like, oh, they're all upset because Devon didn't get a trophy at the end of some competition. We had traveled somewhere. That might have been the one who went to Pittsburgh or something to get them into a competition. I'm like, no, don't you dare give my kid a trophy just for showing it. That is disgusting. It's just awful.

9:26And they have, and we even sponsored and paid for all these participation trophies, but at least they didn't give them to everybody. It was like the team that went, you know, had a really, really good chance of getting it. But if everybody gets one for everything, then it loses all value. Yes. It's supposed to be a reward for work well done. Right. And if you can't see the value, then you start looking or you quit looking so you don't see and look at what happened with the property taxes. You're just believing. They say, here's your trophy. You deserve it. They say, here's your trophy week. We're saving the taxpayers $432 million. Isn't that awesome? And you don't take a step back and see the big picture and say, now, wait a second. We pay $21 billion. So you lowered that by 2%, but last year you raised it 40%. And you didn't hush the rays of last year. So what I hear is you want me to be excited that my taxes went up 38% for the winning a property that I have already bought and paid for, that I'm still paying the mortgage or I paid

10:28the mortgage off. And now I have to rent it from the government for a life. And you can just arbitrarily raise the value by 40%. And then tell me, I should be excited if you give me 2% of that back. No, no, that's still a 38% raise. Not excited. Now, this is just one way they're going and more and more people are going to be losing their properties to the government because of property taxes, which is why we have Axe Ohio tax, AXOHtax.com, find a signing location if you're a legal registered voter in Ohio to abolish all property taxes. And if you're one of the people that says, oh, we won't have fire departments. We had fire departments and libraries and plenty of public schools way before property taxes were everything. This is the most insidious way to charge a tax on something you already own because you're stealing the property, which Lila has a story about right after this break of how else

11:30the government is stealing our property. But this is how it's not like people are going to throw up their arms and decide, I don't want to own anything. I'm going to be happy. This is how they take everything, all of your hard assets from you. And then they keep precursoring and telling you, yeah, when we do this, you'll be happy. When we do this, you'll be happy. Well, guess what? There's at least one family up in. I think it's Massachusetts that's not happy. They stole their 31 acres. 12:33Welcome back to the real power family radio show and mum. I think you have an interesting story about a family in Rhode Island who had, let's just say, some issues with their government. Absolutely. Rhode Island, not Massachusetts. Rhode Island, yeah, not Massachusetts. The Santoro family literally had 31 acres there and they had plans. They wanted to build an apartment building there that would be affordable housing. That was so cool. So, Lila, they didn't just buy this. Oh, no. That's been in their family. For generations. Yes. And there are generational builders. Their dad was a builder, their builders. And now they've got, I think they have kids in green kids or at least kids, if I remember right. We're talking, you know, these generations of people that have been doing this. And they realized, hey, we have a serious problem with housing. Yeah, it was his grandson, wasn't it? That said, dad, I can't afford it or grandpa, I can't afford to buy a home. And so they want to build housing and rent it to people that make 80% or less of the

13:37average income in the area. And they want to make affordable housing, which all of these, you know, these virtue signals, they put signs in their yards, they talk about, oh, yeah, we need more affordable housing. It's all you awful landlords. But then they go and do something like this to make absolutely certain, no affordable housing can be built in their backyard. Tell us more, Lila. Yeah. Well, just like in Devon's book, The Garage, the mayor gets involved. He decides he doesn't want more apartments in the area because it might draw in renters. God forbid. Those awful renters that, oh, we love you poor people, but renters have no rights. That's why in Ohio, they gave a tax break to the homeowners. But everybody that's a runner is now paying more in property taxes. And if you think you're not, huh, just ask your landlord, property taxes are going up 10% for you to pay for this 2% decrease that the homeowners are getting.

14:38The renters will be charged all of that. And they literally said that. I mean, I think it was representative Westieman who has always been on our side and said, oh, yeah, we really just have to focus on the homeowners now. Yeah, because the homeowners vote, because the homeowners, they don't move as much. And they're way more likely to be registered to vote. And they are way more likely to give donations to your campaign. But I'm sure that has nothing to do with it. I bet he really thinks that we're all equal, even if you don't give him money or vote for him, because you're just a runner that hasn't registered to vote. But don't worry, he probably still thinks you're as equal as the people he gave the discount to at your expense. Well, in order to get what he wanted out of it, in order for the mayor to not have this apartment complex be built, he just essentially took the property with eminent domain and claimed after the fact that he was going to build something there. Oh, yeah, and the first thing he did is says, when they tried to build these affordable

15:41housing units, that all the governments keep saying, oh, we need this. We need this. Then he goes, you can't do that. Now, I'm going to take your property through eminent domain instead of that first. Yes. And then found an excuse to use that is like, so we should never have an eminent domain period, no matter what. And I don't know if it was even right doing the railroads and stuff. It would have made it horrible, but look at how many people the insiders got absolutely outrageously wealthy as they stole land from other people who really didn't want a railroad going through their middle of their farm. But yes, we should never have the government being able to steal this land. Either you own it or you do not. Period, no exception. And that's why we have, I'm so excited, we're getting ready. Oral arguments are in four days in the Supreme Court. We're getting ready to go to the Ohio Supreme Court on a fourth amendment challenge versus the city of North Canton, Ohio. So we are putting our money and our time and our energy where our mouth is.

16:45We are aggressively and actively going out and speaking in different locations to collect signatures. And if you're a tenant, they're going after you. You've got to be a registered voter. So hopefully you registered whenever you moved last. But come to our office if you're local or find another place to sign. You know, we're on the list at exohiotax.com because it's you that they are, they never considered the local government's never considered that we can do with less money or we should get it from somewhere other than property taxes. They simply said, we're going to give the homeowners a break and steal it from the tenants. And for the homeowners that are like, oh, that's great. I'm getting a break. Understand, they just raised your taxes 40% and they gave you a 2% break. So you're still up 38% nothing to rejoice about. And now in other news, back to New England. Yeah. And I couldn't believe they not only took the property through eminent domain. They didn't even give the family any kind of warning or notice until two days after.

17:45So they still want property. They literally just transfer the deed into the city's name. Yes. And don't tell the family. And we didn't get to go to court over this. We didn't get it. How, how can they do that? That's outrageous. I don't think they can, but they're going to have to find this. What they did. They did. They absolutely made it happen. Now, whether that was legal is going to be something for the courts, which is why I'm very glad that Pacific Legal Foundation is representing this family. Yeah. Let's not forget. Pacific Legal wrote an amicus brief for ours. And so did this new place out of Virginia. Well, they might not be new. They're new to us. The Institute for Justice out of Virginia. Thank you. If anybody that knows them or has heard of them, what maybe they've represented you, they wrote an amicus brief for our court case against the city of North Canton that's coming up. So shoot a thank you email. Please go out your way and thank them for doing that. But yeah, Pacific Legal and the Ohio Realtors

18:45and this Institute for Justice out of Virginia, which I had never heard of before I read. Apparently they did that a while ago and got it great right up in the newspaper over it. Thank you for that too. It's always good to hear good stories coming out telling people what's going on because I think a lot of a lot of this kind of news gets buried. So in order to find out what Pacific Legal is representing, you frequently have to go to just their website. The mainstream media is not going to report on what's going on at Rhode Island. And for all of you, apparently, brushwood media who is so gracious and good to us. Thank you for everything you do. All of you there. Apparently they're getting some they didn't call it hate mail. They're much quieter than that. But they're getting hate mail over our billboards that we requested. If they're in these are the billboards, we're not getting any advertisement for ourselves. This is simply to promote the abolishment of all property taxes. I think it's awful how they're using these property taxes to steal properties, especially from the elderly,

19:48but anybody we should never have to pay this. And we're the eighth highest tax state in the nation. It's just awful how much we pay in property taxes in Ohio. So yes, you would like to sign, go to ex Ohio tax, do everything good through them because they're the ring leaders of this. And if you think it's awful and want to send me emails about how we're going to ruin your child's life because all the schools are going to close the day after this passes or you won't have firefighters or police officers or anything ridiculous like that. And you actually want to, if you just want to blow off steam and yell at me, email info at click. Oh no, info at real power family. We got a brand new email address. And now that I realize that we're getting some people that are against it, either they can call and talk to me and maybe we'll agree or disagree. I don't care as long as we can talk it out like two mature grown up adults. But it makes me want to fund a whole lot more of these billboards. So thank you for giving me that idea. I think I've seen more fraud and abuse in the schools in this area than I would really like.

22:54And I think people need to look at where their schools are spending money before they start getting upset about how much money they're getting. Well, I decided that I'm going to apply through an NGO and get a grant. And I mean, we have these empty buildings. We've got warehouse-like buildings that we can rent Mike's place because his has been empty for a while since the last tenant after COVID moved down. It's been sitting there empty for way too long. I say we do that. And we will start a very good learning center in daycare. And we'll even spell it right. We'll put a big billboard out front that instead of saying leering center, we're going to spell learning correctly L-O-O-T-I-N-G. Because I just want to be transparent and honest in everything that I do. And in fact, we'll even put our motto. Bring your kids here. They won't die. I mean, we might just shove them in the warehouse

23:55and give them some crackers. Oh, or we could drug them with stickers like that one placed in. But yeah, they'll probably be alive when you pick them up. I forgot. And then at business model, we don't even have to get the kids. We get paid for the kids, but we have the parents. Take care of the kids because it's so much more humane. And they're not going to be indoctrinated like when you drop them off at school. And if those of you that are listening aren't sure what's going on, you need to look up what's happening in Minnesota because there is a lot of fraud going on. It is amazing. Hey, don't blame Minnesota. It's happening in Columbus, Ohio. Oh, it isn't, but Minnesota is the one that's hit mostly out in the news. Thanks to Nick Shirley. Thank you, Nick for that. Appreciate that. Great investigative reporting. It's kind of pathetic that not a single one of the reporters from CNN, Fox News, MSNBC or any other traditional media source could figure out how to find this fraud. It almost makes you think

24:56that the whole mainstream media is on the take and bought and paid for like MPR. I mean, it's almost as if they all have the same script and are kind of all the same thing that are all outside of my local news station. Devon is on my side. They literally say it every night. Word channel five. We're on your side or something like that. Nobody else cares about me like them. And nobody else in the nation is like that. If I had my soundboard up and it was working right now, I have settings set up so it wouldn't work on this show. But if I had it, I would play the clip because it's not, it's the national news and a whole bunch of more local versions where it is still the exact same script. Are you telling me Tom Brokall lied to me? You don't remember him. He was way before your time. Yeah, he was. Yeah, yeah, for the boomers. Why are we all boomers? If you're not a child, you're a boomer. Gen X work very comfortably, Gen X.

25:58Okay, not even close to boomers. We got call, we got yelled at for calling you guys old one too many times. So we decided boomer just felt more right. Okay. So that makes us older, Devon, that's not helpful. Oh, sorry, they're not telling us anything useful. Oh, and I got to love CNN. Let's give a shout out to them because they're not mad. And this is like the second or third time. They're not mad about the fraud and that we wasted billions of dollars. They're mad because a real journalist found the fraud. Is it because they're ashamed? I mean, are you having flashbacks of Atlas Shrugged where that little weasel looking guy walks into Hank Reardon and says, you need to sell me a Reardon medal. And he goes, is can you tell me it's unsafe? It goes, prove to me, show me the scientific studies that say it's unsafe. He goes, well, it really doesn't matter. Because either it is not good, in which case it's a physical problem for society

27:03or it is good, which means a private individual created something better than the state science institute that government could create with all of its money. Think NASA, it was really put in its place and made to look bad by Elon and by Virgin. And there's one other one out there because they figured out how to do this way less expensively with reusable parts. And now I think 95% or more of everything that goes to space over the last couple of years is taken by SpaceX. Not by the American government, not by the British government, not by anybody in Europe, not even by the Russians. It's taken by SpaceX, which is contracted out to every country that wants to get stuff into space pretty much. And if you do me anish to get some astronauts to the space station, don't worry, when you break down and leave them there, SpaceX will rescue them. So this is exactly what they're doing. They're attacking Elon and SpaceX and all these other things.

28:07They're attacking the people that find the fraud and not the ones doing the fraud. How is that? And then you got, I'm just disgusted with Pam Bondi. I mean, oh, they'll be all these who are asked, why don't you have arrested a single person on the Epstein list? How could we possibly believe? You just got Maduro who turned over somebody down there, turned over, here's a list. And it was a lot of Democrats, but I think there were 14 Republicans senators. Okay, so there's only 100 senators. That means 30% of the Republicans were getting kickbacks. So apparently Venezuela has been giving kickbacks to 30% of the Republicans and most of the Democrats. And they just released a list. If you're getting paid by a foreign country, then there's got to be something illegal about that. I mean, there should be something illegal about insider trading too. And yet, I'm sure they codified that, put it into law that it was legal for them, but not us. So yes, we need to see some arrests.

29:10And if Bondi won't do it, she is just singing that the government is better. They are above all of us. And that's precisely why we have to stand up for the Fourth Amendment. That's precisely why we're standing up against property taxes, right Evan? Yes, we have to stand up and fight against the constant government overreach. And just imagine all of the problems that are created. Did you know that the majority of parents that are having children right now are more conservative? And yet, the children are turning out more liberal. Well, how can you compete when you send them to school for six hours a day? And then they have after school activities and then they do homework and all this stuff. If you give up your kids for 40 hours a week or more for the school, they're being indoctrinated. That is a major percentage of their waking hours. How much time do you as parents actually spend with your kids?

30:10I know we spend almost every moment with ours. We still travel with them extensively. We did all of their schooling. They were homeschooling. We enjoyed being with their things. And people are like, oh gosh, I hope it doesn't make me a horrible person. But I look so forward to sending my kids to school. I can't deal with them. If you can't deal with your kids, it's your fault. You should have raised them better. And if you wonder why you can't raise them better, it's maybe because you're outsourcing discipline and expecting the school to teach them. And then you wonder why they come home with totally different belief system than you. But you know what? They can teach them that they're 65 genders and a public school system. They give them pornographic material, sometimes in kindergarten or first grade. But you know what they don't do? They don't teach stupid things that are too white and racist. In fact, 72% of American eighth graders are below proficiency in math.

31:11Remember when how math was racist? Oh, wow. Yeah. 70%. Yeah, so 72% are not proficient in math. This is eighth grade. Eighth grade, we're not talking advanced algebra here. This is basic math plus minus additions, you know, multiplication division, easy. And 70% are below proficient in reading. This is what? 40 years of a federal education system gets you. Because I think it was 86 that Reagan signed the Board of Education in, the standardized testing, the common core, all of this. They're learning that there are, I don't know, how old's the Bible, Devon? Not the New Testament, the Old Testament. It seems to me like in Genesis, that was many, many, many thousands of years ago. At least a few thousand, four to 10,000, but it's, you'd have to have some of that. So either if you're, you know, if you're not into the religious thing,

32:11then some dude just made all this up. And whoever that guy was, he totally understood there was just two genders, a male and a female. Or obviously the Bible, God said, get two of the men and two of the, when we get two of the males, get two of the females and, you know, Noah figured it out. He didn't need to be told. So it's not like this is a new concept. And then all of a sudden, five years ago, give or take, when they're going crazy, what did those shots from COVID make people go insane and think that it's okay to believe there's more than two genders? How did that happen? So we can learn that, but we can't learn how to read proficiently because if you could read, you might actually read things like the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Fourth Amendment, and you could stand up against them. You would actually understand how to read, but they make it so you hate reading. By the time they literally picked the worst things you could ever read. So you hate reading. And how many people never read when they get out of high school? If you go to college, you don't read anything

33:12other than the journals, and then they control those journals. It's the same news media that gets the same script on Fox and CNN. They tell you what you can see. And you know what you can see? 47% of the federal budget for watching over and making sure drug companies don't kill you comes from the drug companies that are killing you. 47% almost half. And they went and had this whole article they were trying to hide it in like over 50% like no, no, no, no, it's not over 50. It's only 47% of our money comes from the people that are supposed to be watching and regulating us. That's the Fox watching the hen house. That's terrible. Only half the hen house, Lila. Not better. And then don't forget all of the ads are paid for by Pfizer. It's totally safe and effective. This ad and my campaign have been paid for by Pfizer. All right, let's take a break. We'll be right back. Welcome back to the Real Power Family Radio show. We were just talking about what happens in school that parents don't really think about. Although did you know, Eric, that Conor Boyack did survey a thousand parents September, October of last year. And only 10% of parents feel truly confident that schools are preparing their kids for life after graduation.

35:14That's a pretty low percentage. So people know there's a problem. Let me ask you this. If you're 90% of the people out there and you don't believe that the school is preparing your children, how could you possibly think you could do worse? What is your excuse for not homeschooling? You need a babysitter during the day? Well, God knows there's billions of dollars for childcare. I didn't know that. Why am I paying for some kid to get childcare in Minnesota? That really annoys me. But apparently that's what our federal dollars goes to, Devon. Another really, two of the biggest excuses are, I don't know if I can do as good. Well, it's hard to do too much worse. And two. I forget to mention that 70% of them can't read and 72% can't do math. How much worse could you do than that? And a lot of the other excuses I hear are that they don't have time to do it. Okay. That's a priority issue. Because there's the same amount of hours in a day for me

36:17as there is for everyone else out there. So it's how you prioritize how you use those hours. Eric, you taught me that one. We built whatever you want to call it, a life for ourselves, where I can spend 10 hours preparing for a radio show. Record radio shows every day of the week. Sometimes multiple shows so we can get ahead. We can take weeks of vacation every year and not worry about, excuse me, anything. We can go to our secluded mountain in Tennessee, at least once a month, and preferably twice a month for four days. We can still have time to fight our way over the course of two and a half to three years. We started this over three years ago, getting to the Supreme Court. So this is the 36-month anniversary, if you will, because it started in January, three years ago. So it's been going on about our longer than this show. Yes, yes it has. And we still run a lot of businesses

37:21and have many hundreds of rentals, and I had time. While we, not because we were rich and could afford it, I had time while my wife worked every day at the office to make sure that kids were homeschooled. She had time to do virtually all of the greeting and all of her subjects, meaning spelling for sure, and all that other kind of things that I am horrible at, that's why you have editors in Spellcheck Devon. Yes. Yeah, it might be important. Yeah, and she's still had time to do that and all the government regulation paperwork, which is now of scenely easy to do, compared to one we serve in Ohio, it's like so easy and set up teachers. Sometimes multiple teachers any year, do we value it our children when one said something I didn't like? But yeah, if we can do all this, it is only because we prioritize our time. Hey, Devon, what's the closest stadium to you for football? Uh, probably the football hall of fame is the only one I know.

38:25A pro stadium. Uh, do I don't know? What stadium goes to the Browns? Okay, what was your other guess? My other guess would have been Ohio State, only because, oh, that's not even pro, that's step below. I don't know much about football if you can't tell. And who's the quarterback for the Browns, or Ohio State, or whoever plays at the Hall of Fame stadium, which by the way is Kenton City Schools just to throw that out there. Uh, I have no idea. Yeah, I would know those answers either. I honestly can't tell you. And the only reason I know the either one four or five this year is because I heard it on the radio that they said the season's over with a dismal record of this. I don't know how many they lost, but it was in the teens or whatever. So how many hours do you spend watching sports a week? We could do the same thing. TV in general, TV in general is a time suck. How many hours do you spend on other TV shows? Uh, oh, yes. And that one TV show that you're wrapped up in,

39:27like we were in Stargate many years ago. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that one still counts. Uh, not today because we haven't watched that in many years. But if you're sitting there saying, oh, well, I've got to catch up on the reruns of all young Sheldon. Oh, boy. Uh, yeah, there's plenty of time. And you are making a decision. We just watched a Christmas movie about how the kids forgot their child. And I remember back to my mom, the parents forgot their child. Yeah, what he said. And she said, the parents forgot their children. And I, you know, it was awful that the children don't use a sharpie to write on your parents' forehead so they remember to take you and get a guitar. And then again, if they leave you at school, sometimes drastic things call for drastic measures. Your mom thought it was awful, but yeah, yeah, left me. My own mother left me at practice so many times she would just flat out forget about me and not show up or be so late that the coach just here

40:30get an extra helmet because he drove a motorcycle. It was awesome. I got to ride home on a motorcycle. He literally got tired of waiting and it was used to just throwing me on the back of the motorcycle, having an extra helmet and driving me home. So he didn't have to sit there and wait for my mom to pick me up. So I love my mom, a lot of great qualities. And I've always been disgusted with her punctuality. That's probably why I'm a stickler that I was teaching a class. And it was only like three people in my rule is, if you don't have five or 10 people in there, I don't teach, but as a special benefit to the company I was teaching for, I said, okay, I'll do this for you, but this is it. And at five minutes after we had, there were like three people supposed to be there, two of them walked in at five after. I said, okay, you can explain why you are not going through this course and why you don't have a job because you haven't had my sales course because you were five minutes late. And if you show up five minutes late to a sale, you know what's gonna happen? You're not gonna go buy from somebody else.

41:31Yep. And they couldn't, what are you doing? Everybody's saying, oh, we just got, I go, yeah. And if you weren't five minutes early, you were late. I might have accepted 30 seconds early, but 30 seconds late, you're lucky. You got to see me and say goodbye because I was already walking out the door. I wasn't waiting for them. You've got to figure out what's important to you in your life. And if your kids aren't important enough to be there and pick up, you're setting your priorities. And guess what, you wonder if I'm not saying you do, but if you have some problems, maybe your kids don't respect you. How can you respect somebody? When you say, oh, yeah, I promise I'll pick you up after school. The same time as school lets out every single day or I'll get you after practice from whatever you're in. Oh, yeah, you gotta go be and work hard and run those sprints and do whatever you do in your sport. And then I don't have time to come see you at the match or I figured to pick you up after practice. Nobody cares what you say, okay? If you want to be a great parent, don't act like a politician.

42:31Don't lie to me and say something and then do something totally different. Don't say, oh, Devon, I love you. You're the most important thing in the world and then leave you sitting there and totally forget about picking you up. It's totally incongruent. If you can't be congruent, then what's the use? I think is actually a pretty good term for this because you have to take responsibility for yourself. You have to be congruent and you also have to take responsibility and not let government take control over your life. That seems to be a central theme and just about everything. That is the best summation, government control over your life and they're starting. People might think that I am harsher that I'm trying.

44:34I don't think that I'm a sensationalist. I don't think I blow things out of proportion. I mean, could you even imagine people talking about sex in your grade school in Kansas and Chicago or in Ohio? Like, as you went to grade school and middle school in all these places. We didn't have any of this. Like, they had a sex education class when I was here in Ohio in high school, but that was it. And we didn't even have that. Did you know, not only, but something that most parents would never accept is this twisted LGBTQ. I always script those initials because I just don't care. Did you know that Oregon, Oregon now requires everyone to have human sexuality courses dealing with that crap, starting in kindergarten. Oh, no, that's too early. So they're teaching your kids. They can choose if they're going to be a boy or a girl and they might be gay, starting in kindergarten. And that's required in Oregon schools now.

45:36Now, if some communities want to have that, I don't want my kids to have anything to do with it would never send them there. But if they do, maybe that is okay as long as they're transparent and the parents agree with it. But they're not, they're literally arresting the few good parents that stood up and went to school board meetings. And I hope anybody that showed up in a school board meeting, you got threatened. I hope you pulled your kid out of that school the next day. It is ridiculous. But these schools are getting way too much money from property taxes. They raise taxes 40% and they're like, oh, we're gonna die if we have to give up this 2%. Other taxpayers are covering for your property taxes. And they're bridging that awful loss of 2%. Meaning they only got a 38% raise and they already spent it even before they got the money. And now the other governments are trying to backfill for the next couple of years to make it easier for the schools who have a 70% failure rate

46:39of getting eighth graders proficient in English and math. They're in some states required to teach gay rights or whatever. Let's see. The Ohio, then they want us to be all excited but the vast majority of the things that they're passing, they don't make any actual difference until 2027. By the time we pair 2026 taxes, it'll be in 2027. And many of them are phased in over the next five or 10 years. So you get this discount, but it's like 2% for a couple of years and then it's another 2%. So what are they doing to help? They're not lowering, they're not getting rid of this 40% bump. They're offering you a loan, Devon. Wow. You can get a payment plan. So while do you get payment plans and you gave a lot way too many over COVID? We did. We did during COVID. We do not really do that anymore with unless they want to qualify and do a whole bunch of other things.

47:40But if they lost their job and they couldn't pay the rent and they got a new job and can prove it. Yep. Devon just sent me one, says I'm not allowed to approve this as a manager, the owner has to do it. And he spelled it out. Yeah, they didn't pay because they lost their job, but they can pay all of this month's rent and half the back rent the next two months. That's overcomable. You lost your job, you couldn't do it. How many people can't pay their property taxes so they need to get a payment plan? But then they have property taxes due again in six months. How is that going to help them? Unless it's an extreme circumstance, like I just described with a job loss and you just got a new one. If you're retired and you can't pay your tax, a payment plan's only gonna make it worse. Yes. In six months, you're gonna own more. And that's one of their solutions to solving the property tax problem that they created. So I think Bill 188, I think was one of the best ones and that's where they added the amendment to make renters taxes actually go up 10%

48:44over the next handful of years. So they could give that to the homeowners. And if you look, they're trying to exclude, they're trying to make sure you can't build more low income taxes. So everybody virtue signals and said, we need low income tax credit. We need low income housing, but then you're not allowed to build it here. And I know there was somewhere probably Seattle. I think it was out in the Northwest in Oregon, Washington area, where there was another case like this where they did everything they could to stop apartments being built. After most of the zoning, all this work had started, they said, no, you can't build low income housing there. And all of the people that lived in an allotment nearby said, no, you're gonna ruin the value of my house. And then you've got, they literally came in and made something up. They just stole this 31 acres from the family in the Northeast through imminent domain and then decided, oh, well, we'll build some type of park or something. But they had no need for it. They just didn't want the low income housing. So they say they want that.

49:45And then they take actions that say the opposite. Right. If you teach your children like this, they're gonna grow up to be, well, like the politicians we have. You've got to be congruent. You have to act congruently. And the politicians are saying they want to help so they can get re-elected. And I actually believe two or three of them, but now look, it's going nowhere and non-business credits drop, which means everybody that's attended, there's are going up every couple of years until that 10% reduction has gone. And we're supposed to have a major increase. As I can't wait to see what happens in Butler County, like a third of the counties in Ohio, if they pass out huge, are they gonna take it easy on them or are they gonna not raise them much this year because of our property tax abolition? But they're like, oh, this should appease these people that are doing this. And it's a bunch of senior citizens that have no funding. They keep going back to, oh, well, it's just these old people with no funding.

50:45And that's why I'm adamant and wanna get more billboards on doing more advertising and talking about it so much because we will put our money where our mouth is. And we've got money to put there unlike the senior citizens living on a fixed income that need this so bad. It is, this is our, if you call it charity. It's not charity. It's protecting people that deserve it. It's giving a man a teaching him to fish and not giving him a fish. This is a hand up, not a handout in my book. Helping the people that did what they thought was right their whole life. They worked hard, they saved money. And now they're about to lose their home. How would you like to be in that position? I wouldn't wanna be. And so I'm standing up and fighting for them now. And some of them are really fighting back. Others, but imagine if you were in a position, if you allowed it to go too long and you couldn't defend yourself because maybe you're just 80 or 90. You should be living a dream life right now if you can live that long. More power to you. I hope you're out there having fun

51:45doing whatever it is that you do. To have fun, you should not be worried about paying your property taxes. And since you shouldn't have to do that and I think that it's right that you shouldn't have to do that, that's why we're standing up and fighting for you. And for us, because we're gonna be in that boat someday. Well, hopefully we make enough money or not. Everybody should strive to make enough money than not. But if you end up there, I would hope that other people would stand up and fight for you. Because if you don't fight for others, then eventually they're gonna go through the others until they get to you. And when they come for you, there'll be no one left to fight for you, right Devin? Fight when you have ever, fight especially right now. When would it have been best to fight this? Just like when it would have been best to plant a tree 20 years ago. And yet now we have something going. We are pushing for this. So help us. Let's get this through and defeat this once and for all. Wrap it up, Lila. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil
